Reviews on Google are not very positive. Most likely because Essent's delighted customers do not spend their time on Google to put 5 stars! Happy customer of Essent for 4 years, I have only positive for my portfolio (I live in Flanders) and for the management of my variable annual subscription renewable. Bravo Essent. I dare to put 5 deserved stars ;-).

Absolutely not recommended! Charges wrong invoices. No response whatsoever after submitting multiple complaints.
By direct debit, withdraws money from the account, even after submitting multiple complaints, while this is not permitted by law.
Complaint filed with energy ombudsman, but even on reminders from this body people do not respond to Essent.
Finally, Essent is refused to make a refund of more than 800 euros after the final bill. As a reason they state that a complaint is pending ...
It is gangsters at Essent, in other words I don't have it!

They don't deserve a single star!
Read a lot of reviews and it hurts me to agree with these bad reviews. Paid invoices recovered several times. Even received reminders. I have sent 2x proofs and then they STILL try again .. Meanwhile moved, but we get new invoices from our old address. Switched to another supplier. Very disappointed in their administration.

I am no longer a customer at Essent, they are thieves and scammers, they invent bills even after closing the contract at home. They still owe me a credit score of 60.73 euros since mid March. Wordt nooit klant bij ESSENT! Zijn de grootste afzetters! Heb afgezien met deze leverancier! Ben bij verschillende energieleveranciers klant geweest, maar ESSENT was de ergste! Kreeg torenhoge afrekeningen, deden moeilijk als ik om een herziening vroeg, en gaven Fluvius de schuld!

Na een herziening bleek dat ze inderdaad fout waren, en kreeg ik een creditnota opgestuurd. Paar dagen later kreeg ik opnieuw diezelfde factuur van 880,47 om te betalen!

Ik heb dan meteen contact opgenomen met ESSENT! Zelfs de medewerkster van ESSENT was in de war en begreep het niet. Ze gaf zelfs toe dat er regelmatig systeemfouten voorkwamen bij ESSENT, waardoor de berekeningen verkeerdelijk worden uitgevoerd!

Ik heb nu de ombudsdienst ingeschakeld, zelfs zij wisten mij te zeggen dat er enorm veel klachten waren bij ESSENT, en gingen dit verder opvolgen! Ik heb ook mijn advocaat ingeschakeld en ook hij ging dit bekijken!

P.S.: ik betaal maandelijks 104 , enkel en alleen aan elektriciteit, en ben overdag nooit thuis, wel in de avond.
En toch krijg ik een afrekening van 880,47 !

Laat jullie niets wijsmaken door ESSENT, ze zijn namelijk goed in reclame maken, maar het zijn grote afzetters! Er zou een grote controle moeten worden uitgevoerd, want het is een criminele organisatie!

Indien ESSENT hun fout rechtzetten, ben ik bereid om dit review te vewijderen!

Ik blijf volhouden totdat ze hun fout rechtzetten!

They said this is normal, I told them that I already pay 90 euros a month because we are only 2 people and both work so there was not much heating at home. This company is horrible. Letters from private or a lawyer are not answered. Several hundred Euro have just disappeared from my account. Invoices are sent falsified predated. A bill dated with the 1st of the following month you often receive already on 25th of the current month.

Prepayments are reversed in order to then send a punitive proven reminder and to require a new and higher payment.

Stay away from ESSENT so you can enjoy your free time.

6 years customer, after 5 years you get messages from other suppliers who tell you that your rates at Essent are too high. After e-mail to be able to compare the rates, a phone call will soon arrive, you still have an old contract. Subsequently, the rates are much lower and we can now transfer them with a saving of 25 euros per month, great fun. Now later on, nice new mail from Essent with current rates and the new from November, without boe or ba up to 30 percent more, hello.
