Chris W. at Emerald Outdoor Living really sealed the deal for us on our Bullfrog Spa. We stopped in one day during our escrow on a home in Silverton. We knew nothing about Bullfrog Spas and had only heard about the lower quality ones that you see at big box stores or via the Internet.

We were so impressed with Chris. He had great knowledge of every detail of the spas we had looked at previously (the good and bad) and was able to give us the side-by-side on the Bullfrog vs any other spa on the market. He even encouraged us to keep shopping and there was zero pressure to buy.

Needless to say, we came back and bought our Bullfrog Spa with all the bells and whistles. The ordering was a breeze and the spa was ready to go when we called to say we had closed escrow and had the concrete pad all ready for our new back yard paradise.

Chris showed up himself with his phenomenal crew to deliver and install the spa. They were a very clean-cut, non-smoking crew of great guys. Chris explained everything to us on adding water treatments, checking Ph and everything else. It was mostly plug and play, very easy for anyone to do (we are middle-aged and it was easy for us).

We have been enjoying the spa immensely and recommend the Bullfrog Spa without hesitation. The completely enclosed system (without all those snakes, octopus arms and nests of tubes underneath) is the best made. The pop out jet packs are Genius! The quality of the massage that we get, is really impressive and critical for my husband who has a severe physical disability from the Gulf War.

Go see Chris and let him tell you about the best, and last, spa you will ever need to buy.

Have done business with them for over 30 years and would recommend them to anyone. If problem does happens very willing to take care of it. Have large supply of pool and spa chemicals and toys as well

I purchased a new Bullfrog Spa in December. Chris was great to work with. They went out of their way to be sure everything was installed correctly, answered questions for me electrician prior to the arrival of the spa, and even made a special trip to swap out one of the jetpacks. Great experience.

I had been doing research on hot tubs for about 2 ...

I had been doing research on hot tubs for about 2 months and finally decided on a Bullfrog Spa and my local Emerald Outdoor Living dealer, here's why. First off the staff at Emerald were very helpful and they encouraged us to wet test the hot tubs, (I actually did this 3 times) they even went out of their way to fill up and heat the hot tub that we were interested in on the store floor! They took there time to bring over different Bullfrog JetPaks for us to try so we could decided exactly witch ones we wanted with our spa. It was a very pleasant, no pressure kind of sales experience, I have no tolerance for typical "car salesmen" like pitches. As far as choosing a Bullfrog Spa I am convinced there is no spa better, period! They do not use any wood or metal in the their construction, the spa has an extremely solid ABS plastic base, 90% less plumbing then conventional spas, uses high quality Balboa equipment, is extremely efficient and is infinitely configurable with the JetPaks. We decided on the R8 model with 4 JetPaks, it is extremely comfortable and has lots of room. I needed some time to get the location prepped at home and a gazebo built and they were very accommodating when it came to setting up the delivery date. When it came time for delivery I was very impress with the crew, 3 nice guys showed up and all introduced themselves, they were very professional did a great job and didn't leave until they knew I was happy with the delivery and had all my questions answered. A big thank you to the sales and delivery staff at Emerald, I look forward to future business with them.

I called and asked if they did pool water testing, lady said what so I asked again. She then said I don t know what you want but we do test pool water . I said ok, how much does that cost, she asked what I wanted to buy. I asked her again how much to test pool water. She said yes we can test pool water. So frustrating so I hung up.

Its a over priced place to buy fireplace inserts and outdoor patio furniture. I asked about getting 2 wicker chairs and they wanted $1300 for each piece. Outrageous and they claim everything sells out so fast that they can't keep them in stock. Usual sales talk. Went to home depot and bought some decent chairs for $100 instead. Emerald is a place for rich folk to go to that don't care about money.

Went in to purchase chemicals for a new pool we purchased. The gentleman over the phone told us to bring in a water sample from our pool for free testing. We just filled it up a day earlier. They recommended several different chemicals to put immediately in our pool that WAS crystal clear and the very next day, our pool looked like we poured ten gallons of milk in it. Cloudy, couldn't see the bottom of the pool any longer. Called Emerald Pool to tell them what we were experiencing and told us to just let our pump run and it would clear up in a day or so. Two weeks later, still no progress. Calcium at the bottom of our pool, 6,000 gallons of water wasted to just turn around and replenish and start all over after we spend days scrubbing our new pool. Customer service was TERRIBLE. Did not apologize or offer any kind of refund or discount on future purchases to compensate for the money we spent for nothing, not to mention the water we have to pay for to refill the pool. We should have stuck with our original pool place. Hot Stuff Spas and Pool. Never again will I give this business my money.

Emerald Outdoor Living was/is an excellent place for us to select/purchase our new spa. Kudos first go to their having a large selection of choices, but without salesperson Chris Welch s excellent knowledge just having options might not have been sufficient for us to make a buy decision during our first visit. Chris first off listened to our somewhat unique circumstances, then with his through knowledge of their different brands, sizes, components and features, efficiently took us down the path to our choosing the specific Bulldog spa that will excellently meet our needs. But beyond that, and after buying it, he continues to excel in providing detailed/precise answers to our technical and other questions. He is an A+++. Buying from Emerald Outdoor Living and from Chris was heads and shoulders the best purchasing decision. We have zero doubts its install will go perfectly too.

We took delivery of our new hot tub from Emerald this weekend. I researched tubs for months prior to our purchase and found the perfect tub for our family. I contacted other dealers and was happy to find that our local dealer had the best service and price. Heath, our sales associate, went above and beyond ensuring our purchase went smoothly and we received what we wanted at the best price, including timing our purchase with a factory rebate. I recommend Emerald Outdoor Living to anyone looking for the best hot tub from a company with excellent customer service and support.

Go somewhere else... anywhere. Absolutely terrible customer service. Completely unorganized and ZERO communication with their own employees and customers. Don't shop here, it's too late for me, save yourself. Seriously look at all the other 1 and 2 star reviews... these guys are well documented to be terrible.

I called the Tigard location to purchase a part, associate checks stock and says come on down. I jump in rush he traffic from Vancouver. When I Arrive Chris at Tigard location says, sry we don't carry any parts and you were probably transferred to my Salem location. Huh! Terrible business practices, and the part was $25 cheaper on Amazon. This is why small business don't last.

Lady was a little rude. Wasn't until the 3rd salesman approached me that I got any kind of customer service. He caught the errors the other 2 made and corrected them, even though I had given the information several times before.

My husband and I are first time home owners, and o...

My husband and I are first time home owners, and our new house came with a "broken hot tub". This was our very first hot tub as well. I called this place to come do a diagnosis on it, and was NEVER told, "Oh make sure your hot tub is filled with water on the day of the apt". Being first time hot tub owners, had I been told that I would have made sure it was filled.
So day of the apt I get a call while I'm at work from my husband, stating that the Mechanic came out, told him it needs to be filled with water, and that he would come back at the end of the day to take a look.
I was irritated, because I again, WAS NOT told these instructions prior to this apt. Then I get home from work to be told the mechanic never came back around to look at the hot tub.
Irritated the next day, I call them again and was told that the mechanic just went back to the business, put our paperwork at the bottom of the stack of people to "be rescheduled". The man I spoke to on the phone was very apologetic and understanding and said, "I will call the mechanic now and see if he can swing by today and then call you right back and let you know".
At least 3-4 days go by where this company just Dropped the Ball and never called me back, and at that point I was done with them and called another business who came out the next day, diagnosed and fixed our hot tub.
Mind you this is now WEEKS ago all this took place.
Then yesterday, I get a call and a voicemail while I am at work, being that i work until 6pm I was unable to answer or check any messages until I was off.
It was from an Angela from this Emerald Outdoor Living asking if I wanted to be put back on their schedule or not to get our "leak looked at".

I tried to call them but they were closed. I then use my mobile app later that evening to check my bank account, and notice that not only did they drop the ball and haven't tried to contact me in WEEKS, but now all of a sudden they have decided to put a $114 hold on my card?!?!?!?!

I called this morning and spoke to Angela again, and she very passive aggressively stated that she "Knows she told me to have my hot tub filled with water" and that she's been " trying to get a hold of me for weeks!"

ONE- No one ever told me to have it filled because I would not have been so upset when the mechanic came and left due to NO BODY TELLING ME TO MAKE SURE THE HOT TUB WAS FILLED BEFORE SOMEONE CAME.

TWO- I pulled up my call records on my Cell Provider Website, and I have received NO INCOMING OR MISSED CALLS from this business for TWO WEEKS until YESTERDAY.

THREE-then they continue to charge me for NO WORK that was ever completed, now WEEKS after the fact?!

I'm SORRY- THAT'S NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS.

Needless to say, they are dropping the $114 charge but of course they cant put it available back on my card until tomorrow.

I definitely DO NOT recommend this shady business to anyone, and will never be coming to them for any future hot tub needs.

Everytime i have to go in to emerld theres an issue! From waiting around while 4 guys stand behind the counter talking. To talking textbook to me about the chemicals even after i tell them i dont get it. One guy just keeps talking over you and doesnt even listen to a word you say. Theyve sold me several hundred dollars worth of chemicals i didnt "need" then when my pool has an issue in 2 days they want to sell me more or tell me to drain it.

Unfortunately, I chose to hire a poor contractor to install my aboveground pool, but prior to hiring this contractor, I had purchased a 16 by 28 pool liner from emerald pools. After having Paul (the owner)! Give me a VERY high quote to install the pool, I decided not to go deeper into the venture, so I tried to return my pool liner, but Paul told me there would be 25% restocking fee or they could not return it at all because of the type of liner it was. Well, you know the story, my liner was NOT returnable. Now I have a $500 piece of plastic and no pool for my kids and family.
P.S. Paul is the owner of the emerald pools!

This place is 2-3 times more expensive then anywhere ells in town.($14 for a $5 fitting )

Told them i need bearings replaced in my pool pump and they recommended i replace the howl motor... ( this is so untrue...only a way for them to rob you of more money)

This company thrives off of people who dont know any better...

We have had a fantastic experience working with the staff at Emerald. We bought a Bullfrog spa and could not be happier. It is truly amazing.
The spa is even better than the hype and has become part of our every day routine. We worked primarily with Chris from the Tigard store. Chris is the best. Great communication and follow thru. Fantastic customer service. Thank you Chris, Stephen, Charlie and BULLFROG!

High quality product and excellent customer service! We visited the showroom a few months ago, and Chris spent a lot of time with us to help us understand the options and find the best spa for us. It really seemed like he wanted to help us find what would work best for us, not just trying to make a sale. Good communication after our visit too -- he followed up on the things he was going to check on and helped clue us in to when sales might be happening to help make the purchase affordable for us. When we decided to purchase, they made the ordering very easy, and the tub came quickly, even though it was over the holidays. Installation was smooth. The delivery crew was friendly and did their job well and quickly. And the customer service continues to be superb, as Chris makes sure all our questions are answered and we have everything we need. Great experience!

I walked in at 4:54 on a Sat. A guy comes up and says "Talk about the nick of time! What can we help you with?" I told him I needed a spa filter. He says, "Oh, well I'm pretty sure the till is closed." The lady behind the counter says, "Yep."
So, tips from a former retail associate:
1. Dont ask me what I need, THEN tell me you cant sell me anything.
2. If I would've closed the till even a second before closing, I'd have been fired. You're a retail store. You should be ready to sell until your actual closing time.
3. Lock the damn door if you're closed.

They lost $30 that night, all my future spa maintenance purchases, and when I eventually purchase a new spa, I'll look elsewhere. All over closing the till 6 min early.

Would very highly recommend this place, thought my contol board on my pellet stove went out so I call everywhere to see if someone has it in stock and they did, it was $217, but turns out it was just a simple fix and they didn t need to sell me the part, also showed me how keep my pellet stove running smoothly and cleaning. Very friendly people

Paid $125 for Mike to give us a bid on new pool cover. It has been at least a couple of weeks and he will not return phone calls.

We also had Neptune pool come down. The bid was FREE and they completed it 2 days after looking at our pool.
Sorry Emerald. You blew it.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable of the many products and services they provide I whent in to buy a grill and was pleasently supprized to fined what I was looking for and more in my budget. They also had alot of beautiful spas on display and all the pool toys you could ever need. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for anything from stoves and spas to chemicals and pool toys.

I have an old Cal Sauna that stopped working. Mike and Jason were able to assess the problem and fix it and gave me a very reasonable rate. I am forever grateful to them for getting my sauna back up and running!! Can't recommend them enough! Great service and great rates!

Ordered a Bullfrog Spa from Emerald last year during a major home remodel. Our salesman Heath was very helpful and professional with our purchase. Delivery was easy to schedule with our contractor. Helpful and knowledgable setup tech came out to get us started. No hassle in its operation for the past 8 months.

I have done business with emerald over the years and just recently ordered another pump for my spa. Called me saying it was in and went down to get it and it was not in. Suppose to call me back with tracking number and never did even when I called them the next day. To busy to get it for me. I also ordered at this time an impeller to go on the pump and they said they would get back with me rather than take care of it right then. Had to call them twice to see if they ordered it. Then I asked them if they could put it on the new pump and they said they were to busy. It takes only 5 minutes. Awful service and rude and they do not follow up promptly.

5 service called (all paid for) and $1000 later an...

5 service called (all paid for) and $1000 later and my spa still doesn't work. They've "no-showed" me twice. Their repair philosophy seems to be "let's replace some stuff and see if that works". Last straw was a 15 minute service call where they just flipped the breaker on and off and noted that they don't know why it shut off - $120 please. They don't return calls. And somehow they still have an attitude like they're the pro's. Just buy somewhere else or call someone else for service.

I purchased a Quadrafire pellet stove from Emerald...

I purchased a Quadrafire pellet stove from Emerald Outdoor Living in 2009 and when the stove is working it is great. But I have had the repair person out to my house at least 10 times. First the igniters were bad and the repair person told me they were going to improve them and they did but I had to pay the repair person to come out to my house in Silverton to replace them. Not cheap. I am sure I got a LEMON and have tried to talk to the owner but of course he is never in and does not return my calls. Right now it is 26 degrees and my stove again does not work. Missed ignition and it is Sunday. This is my primary heat. I had a Traeger pellet stove for 25 years in my house and it is now in my shop and works beautifully. Sorry I ever replaced it but it was very old and ugly. Dumb move on my part. I am now writing to the Quadrafire Factory to see if something can be done. If they do something I will post it here.
