Embassy Suites - Vanderbilt Review

Wonderful hotel and staff. We were in town for NFL game, clean, great location and breakfast and happy hour were great. Every person I had contact with was helpful and friendly, including valet. Would have been 5 stars except for the needed updating which was in progress.

Love the neighborhood and the city, 1st visit but not the last. Great time.

Nice place but our air conditioning didn't work. Never got cooler than 76 even though the thermostat was turned down to 69 the entire 2 days we were there. Fire alarm went off one night at 3 am and we had to be evacuated from the hotel. We made multiple complaints about the air conditioning but it was never fixed. They offered us a measly discount for the fire alarm incident even though we weren't allowed in our room for almost 3 hours.

Decent hotel, parking garage is really tight fit for our mini van. Room clean but the bathroom door didn't lock, light in living room broken, mini fridge door broken, ac/fan made clanking noise, shower head was good but pipe coming from wall loose and spun when moving shower head, and ice machine on our floor broken... Overall for the price the experience here is below expectations.

Meeting spaces however we're nice, although in middle of our meeting they decided to vacuum right outside the door and it was hard to hear until someone asked them to stop. Food served was excellent.

Loved the Hilton Honors rooms and daily happy hour!

Very nice accommodations, clean and well kept. Enjoyed our stay. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST SELECTIONS. FREE SHUTTLE, plan to return.

Room was clean and roomy. The front desk responded quickly to our request and room service was prompt. The full breakfast included with the room cost was yummy.

Nice location with a beautiful reception area. Our room was clean, but we were missing a TV remote and the refrigerator did not work (which we discovered the next morning when our food was spoiled). For those reasons, it was 4 star. Otherwise, it would have been 5.

We stay here very time we are in Nashville. Its great. Rooms are clean and well tended.. staff is nice. Hattie B's hot chicken is right across the street. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. So thats good.

If you are a business traveler then this should be your choice of hotels. Good staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Happy hour is the best.....free beer....need I say more???

Excellent hotel but our room smelled like someone had been smoking .

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful, especially one of thier hostess by the name of Precious, her kindness and hospitality nearly made me forget the airline lost my luggage the day I arrived. Very clean hotel, nice updates and didn't mind the minor construction still going on...definately will stay here again on my next Nashville trip.

Really nice room, friendly staff. They are in the middle of renovations, would love to see what it looks like when it's completed.

One of my favorite Embassy's to stay at nationwide. Their staff service is amazing, rooms are clean,,,, location is outstanding! You have many midtown options to visit, and they provide free shuttle service to downtown. My go to place to stay Every Time I go to Nashville

Very nice hotel friendly staff. Its within walking of some good food spots or entertainment. Rooms very nice. Butttttt parking very tight squeeze ya best be very careful entering & parking very low in height. Best know what your doing getting in and out parking garage.

Place needs an update. Great breakfast though. Wallpaper definitely needs an update.

The manager upgraded me, went well above and beyond! These guys are awesome! I travel the globe and they rank at the top of customer satisfaction!

The rooms and staff are good. parking your car is $25 a day

Room is fantastic, large and luxurious. Location is close to where I was going. Cannot say anything bad about service as it was not needed. Came with complimentary breakfast that was good.

Great staff. Great breakfast. Tad loud if your room faces Broadway.

This is a wonderful hotel. These people did wonderful job with showing hospitality to my mom. I know she had a wonderful time. Keep up the good work.

VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND WONDERFULLY CLEAN WITH GREAT SERVICE !!

The room was nice and large, but a couple of things cause me to rate this hotel poorly: (1) I went to get in the shower and found a pair of eyelashes stuck to the shower stall. Obviously, the shower wasn t fully cleaned. I might expect this from an $89/night hotel but not Embassy Suites. I have a picture of this but apparently can t upload it to this post. (2) Upon my arrival, the bellman helped me carry my stuff in. While I was in the middle of checking in and trying to listen to the clerk, he took my keys. When I finished, I turned around to go park my car and saw my car pulling off. It had been valeted without my consent. Luckily, this is only $4 extra per night, but the hotel made some extra money off of me. I thought that was prettt shady. Again, the rooms are nice and big but I did not have a good experience for the amount I paid.

Very good complimentary breakfast and early evening happy hour. Surprised the ES wouldn't discount the room due to current construction noise, dust, debris, etc.

Hotel is beautiful and very clean! But we had several issues. Ice machine was not working at all and was not fixed until next morning, mini fridge iced over and barely cool, cards did not work upon entry, had to wait in room 30 minutes for management to fix, employee had to grant access to parking due to card problem, complementary breakfast is only complementary to 2 per room, $5 extra per person but we were not told this anytime during booking or check-in. We were told while in line with one plate of food in hand. Had to leave front of line to go to desk and pay $5 for a ticket and jump back into the back of the line where we had to wait 15 minutes to get back to the front. First plate of food was cold when we were finally able to eat, and had to go back to get condiments. Hot tub not accessible due to high quantity of people for such a small tub.

The workers not only grant your requests but they also treat you with the upmost respect. The rooms are clean and breakfast is very delicious.

The suites were nice, and the layout very different from most hotels. Reminded me of a cruise ship in some ways.

Very nice Hotel with beautiful spacious rooms, great breakfast and an amazing staff. Big downfall, the Hotel is under renovations and it poses lots of discomfort i.e. jack hammering during the day up until 6pm, elevators troubles, constant rerouting of guest traffic...typical of renovation work. I personally wish I had been made aware while booking.

Demanded I use credit card. I wanted to pay in cash. They charged my credit card tying up money for 9 business days.
The staff here other than the women at front desk where always friendly and helpful. Be aware that you are going to have to pay to park.

Very nice hotel. Complementary breakfast was really good with an omlete chef and fresh fruit. Also the rooms were big with a separate living room and bed room.

Nice and clean hotel in midtown. We're not big time foodies so the breakfast was a great amenity. Across from Hattie B's so that's something to be said for too.

I've stayed here several times over the years, this year the hotel really showed its age. Lobby, elevators, rooms...everything is just tired and needs updating. Also very disappointing that my 'upon arrival' (on the Hilton app) were not delivered, and when I called on them staff brought towels but never any pillows.

Most disappointing was the lobby bar. Terrible service. We stopped for a drink and bite after CMA show...after 1 hour of waiting we actually walked out with no food. At 45min we asked the waitress how much longer and she replied "your order is next, he's way behind, the dish washer is trying to help but they're overwhelmed." There were 5 people at the bar and no one else in the place, so we have no idea how they could be so slow, and so rude/clueless. When we asked for our checks the waitress never offered to discount our drinks, in fact she took the bill back because she forgot a $5 beer. After another 10min waiting we left exact change on the table and walked out. Very frustrating and not what I expect from Hilton.

We had great service here at this hotel along with complimentary drinks and breakfast. The room was very clean and had an overall great stay.

Rooms were dated and breakfast offering seemed substandard compared to past experiences.

First rate Embassy Suites with the usual amenities, well placed close to everything but not in the midst of the hustle

Nice hotel. Free gourmet breakfast. Free happy hour in lobby. Nice waterfall in lobby. Rooms nice too but location in Midtown was the best. Walk to everything.

Comfortable Hotel with roomy suites. There is a cool atrium where the free breakfast is served. It has a full breakfast with all kinds of hot and cold options. The bed was comfortable. It is located near Vanderbilt, so not real near all the attractions. A great getaway place.

Noisy, you can hear music from the outside restaurants and i was in the 11th floor. Also it was raining and you can hear water running somewhere inside the walls.

Stayed for a weekend in Nashville. The common area and breakfast area is beautiful but the rooms are average. The stay wasn't bad until I scratched my vehicle in the parking garage against one of the unnecessary concrete columns that are inconveniently placed. The parking garage layout is the absolute worst I've ever seen. There is not room to make turns in the garage. The proof is seen on the white walls that are covered in the paint of other vehicles. It needs to be destroyed and remodeled because it is a hazard to all vehicles that enter.

Good location, they offer a shuttle a few miles around

We stayed during the holiday season. The hotel was quiet, clean, and accommodating. It is in a great location. It is within walking distance of Vanderbilt University. We also walked to the Parthenon. The hotel is close to other attractions. There are many restaurants nearby. The hotel serves a delicious breakfast. The staff was nice!

Very clean and tidy overall.

Rooms are nice and large but a strange layout of the bathroom. Shower door is behind the door, so you would have to close the door completely to get to the shower. Not a bad thing, but just a little weird to me.


Overall, staff were nice but some of the staff were very unfriendly at the front desk. I would consider re-evaluation of the staff.

Decent hotel, good location, it was under renovation and I stayed in one of the renovated rooms. It was nothing spectacular but nothing subpar either. Breakfast and happy hour are a couple of good extras they offer.

Very nice and clean property. The room was fresh and clean and their MTO eggs for breakfast are great.

Stayed here a couple of times. Rooms are spacious and clean. And you get a free USA Today newspaper everyday. The breakfast is generous and has a lot of choices. And if you don't want their breakfast, you could just walk around the area and you'd find plenty of other restaurants to choose from.

Very nice evening reception offered by the hotel. Rooms were older but very clean. Breakfast offered was too notch.

The front lobby was clean, but underwhelming. The courtyard area is well kept with nice landscaping. The staff was generally friendly but could stand to be more genuine and warm.

Beautiful hotel located near many restaurants and bars. Ride shares to downtown are very affordable and available. Hotel is well located to get around pretty much to anywhere. The continental breakfast is very filling it s not just a muffin. Lovely hotel!

Got a great deal through hilton honors app. Location is prefect for exploring all of Nashville.

Hotel is downtown, right in the thick of things. Parking ramp is sketchy, definitely do valet to avoid the headache. Had a king room. Was very clean and spacious. Hotel atrium was fantastic, good executive hour and great breakfast. In house restaurant looked good, but didn't try it. Would stay again and recommend to others.

One of the better hotels in the Nashville Vanderbilt/Belmont/Lower Broadway area

Typical Embassy Suites. Great location near downtown bars and restaurants. They also have a shuttle that will take you downtown. It was a pretty rowdy crowd staying there, as there was a concert and a hockey game on Saturday. The walls are very thin, so you will hear your neighbors. Also, a bar next door was playing loud, live music until 2 am. Wasn't a problem for us, because we were up late, but not a good place if you want to get se sleep.

Definitely not as nice as other Embassy Suites I've stayed at. There are only two elevators for the entire hotel and the weekend I stayed only one of those were working. Unfortunately I was on the 9th floor so I had to wait for up to 15 minutes for an elevator that had way too many people inside. When checking out I paid for my parking with cash but when I got home realized that the hotel charged my card for it too. When I called about it they were rude, didn't believe me that I paid it in cash and said I needed the receipt to prove it. I was also promised some Hilton Honors points for the elevator inconvenience but never received them. On a positive note, location and shuttle service were nice.

Service was good, rooms were clean. The main atrium is beautiful. Happy hour is also a great deal, fee drinks for two hours.

Service is incredibly, the employees are eager to assist and very cheerful. Shuttle takes us all over downtown. Valet parking is a godsend. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are clean and spacious and comfortable. No complaints

Service was good, breakfast was good. The entire place is dirty. The floor in the dining room was sticky, carpets are dirty, walls are dirty, the doors in our room were dirty and the construction noise was terrible! Management offered a minimal discount for one night, we stayed two.. both mornings we were woken up by a concrete driller. Otherwise, great location.

The staff was always helpful and the shuttle service made our trip that much more enjoyable. The continental breakfast and the free happy hour each evening was the icing on the cake. I would most definitely stay there again.

Nice rooms and staff. Parking garage is a little tight (a lot of large columns as well as narrow spaces) and people consistently park on/over the line. If you have trouble parking, valet is only like $5 more.

Very nice and accommodating from the moment i walked into the building.

The staff is helpful and the place is decently clean. My preorder cribs had to be asked for multiple times and my towels never came. Its a nice place but I feel it was very over priced.

Nice place could use some work on the rooms. Parking garage is not ford super duty sized. Very hard to get in and out of garage.

Good location for events at Vanderbilt University. At the moment they have renovations ongoing but they still maintain excellent facilities, and will be done shortly.

Good place to stay in Nashville. Happy hour and breakfast are a plus. But they need more staff so guest are not standing in line for 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink. Valet service was inconsistent.

Very nice hotel though would strongly suggest a swimming pool.

Great staff. Clean rooms. Great neighborhood surrounding the hotel with great places to eat, drink and listen to some great live music.

Building is being renovated so it was noisy in our room. We liked the breakfast. Every employee was very nice. The access from garage to our floor was weird . We had to carry our luggage up some steps. Shuttle drivers were so nice and helpful.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet is good and so is the free happy hour. The shuttle service downtown is incredibly convenient and saved us a lot on Uber or cabs.

Room was clean. May have recently been redone. Was warm on higher floor. And air didn t seem to cool it below 72. Biggest reason it s not five stars was apathetic staff. Breakfast staff were friendly and great. However bell desk folks were not adept at their jobs. Bell staff had to be approached to ask anything. No good morning or can help you? Was told by desk clerk that I had the right Hattie s chicken restaurant on my phone for the online order. It was the wrong one. Thanks - $17 down the drain as I could not get to the correct store before departure and I didn t have a car. For the price service should be better.

Great hotel with a fantastic breakfast bar. Only reason not 5 stars is its currently renovating. Still has breakfast and evening snacks. Cant beat the location so many restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent service and correct crew. Rooms ok. Parking just in the next building with direct access to the hotel.
The breakfast is included. They have a free shuttle going to the downtown from 7am to 12am, in a trendy area of Nashville at 5 minutes of all the city hot spots.
