Noisy in room. Asked desk for towels and was told to come get them myself after waiting 45 minutes for them to bring them! Only got the second star because of the proximity to the convention center!

Room was clean, food was good, staff was attentive and helpful. We we're there during metro con and that made it extremely hard to get an elevator, taking a minimum of 15 minutes to get to or from our room. The gym was small including mostly cardi machines treadmill, seated bike, and such. The free weights section was only big enough for two people to use although during this stay a big part of the ceiling was taken down and under construction. This cut the space down by half.

Night front desk lady is kind of grumpy not very customer service friendly or welcoming. Not attentive and was not at front desk both nights I checked in..had to wait for her to come from the back ..checkin was slow ,She did not tell us anything about amenities or anything in the hotel
However the hotel is beautiful and very clean

Love the breakfast! Room was in good condition other than peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. It was also a bit inconvenient that one of the elevators was down for most of our stay, but the staff were very nice. The pool was never crowded and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay again if I had to go to the convention center.

Nice hotel, everything is clean and functional. Finding the place is kind of difficult, you can't really see the way in from the road, and there isn't much space to park if you want to bring your stuff in, since they want you to valet park

Arrived at 5:15 for concert at arena. It is now 7:15 and still sitting in the lobby with about a hundred other people waiting for a room.
UNACCEPTABLE!
At 7:45 (15 minutes before concert starts) we are again told that there are still no rooms ready and that there are about 30 other people waiting for a room! They told us they would hold our luggage and we could still get to the show and when we got back we would have a room. HA! I'd just been lied to for the last 3 hours, as if I'm going to believe this one! At this point we had our vehicle retrieved from valet parking (only parking available at hotel) and left thoroughly disgusted.
How is this place still in business?

Definitely is a three-star hotel. The room itself is amazing. There is no view beside a brick wall though. The rooms were set up weirdly when you entire the hotel. Our tub was stained and little black things were on the floor by the toilet and the tub and they looked like ants. The garage is confusing, we got locked in one of the elevators for about 10-15 minutes as well. Couldn't find the car and that took forever in itself. LIKE MAKE A BETTER GARAGE. No channel guide or name of what's playing. So we had to play chicken with the damn channels. The front desk doesn't answer if there is no one else with them. If they are talking to a guest they don't answer the phone and at night there should def be more than one person.

The hotel is very nice but they only have 4 elevators to sevice guest needs and the fridge in my room did not have a temperature control and my drinks kept freezing and there is not a temperature control for the room either. The service from the staff is top notch. All in all it's a average stay at a premium price.

Parking is a complete joke. Valet is the only option and if you plan on checking out in a timely manner, forget it. On a busy day, expect to wait UP TO AN HOUR in a line for the valet to get your car. Someone tell me why you are required to pay a premium price for a completely atrocious valet design. The rooms were great, staff was friendly, but the ridiculous parking will keep me from ever returning.

Wonderful place to stay. Very welcoming front desk and valet. This place is pretty big I believe close to 20 floors. Doesn't come cheap, but what does these days. Just on the outside of downtown very close to Amalie Arena and Sparkman. I'd recommend.

Great hotel and personal...ESPECIALLY the front desk. BUT, WHY ON EARTH THE HOTEL MANAGER ALLOWED JACK HAMMERS TO BE USED ON A WEEKEND WHEN THE HOTEL IS FULL IS BEYOND ME. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT FLOOR UR ON, THE JACK HAMMERS VIBRANT THRU OUT THE BUILDING. THANKS AZZ HOLE..... GREAT DECISION!!!!

Nice hotel overall, just expensive. Very convenient, though, if you are attending a convention next door. Valet parking is provided to the hotel parking garage, which is also convenient if not pricy...so convenience w/ a cost vs scrambling to find parking & taking a taxi to & from garage or hotels to the convention center. Book early to get the best rate.

Lovely helpful staff were totally accommodating. Beautiful large venue, great amenities. Food on site readily, great view of the water, security available made us feel safe. A lot of stairs just fyi.

Great hotel, awesome breakfast, good service, and comfy rooms large enough to fit large zoo animals. Alehea. T did great checking us in and accommodated us very well and was very professional! 100% recommend to anyone and hope to stay again next time I m in Tampa.

Would never recommend this hotel. Extremely outdated on the inside. No enforcement of rules. Broken elevators. People smoking everything imaginable out by the pool. The clientele is rude and disrespectful (yelling and running around at all hours) we were woken up multiple times due to the disrespect of others and had to call for security. So therefore did not sleep well and did not feel refreshed at all.

The one thing this place has going for it is location- which I guess is what you pay for. Very convenient to the river walk & water taxi.

Overall, 100% will not be back. Lots of other choices around and will be staying at one of those next time.

This hotel is within walking distance to downtown, river walk, convention center, hockey arena, and much more. The stop for the street car is across from the main entrance so it's really easy to get to Ybor. The complimentary breakfast and evening specials are pretty good too. My room was clean and the view was awesome.

This was the worst experience in a hotel ever! Service was horrible! Room service order was wrong and no one answered phone after we got it. When the maid "cleaned" the room we were not given fresh towels or clean glasses or toilet paper. There was literally no toilet paper. Dirty glasses were not removed and trash stayed ourside our door for over 24 hours. When we called to get clean glasses we were told "we are very busy. Feel free to walk down to the kitchen and get them ourselves". That is a direct quote. I will never stay here and will rethink staying at ANY Embassy Suites. Motel six has better service. And every employee we came into contact with was rude or very unfriendly.

It's very nice the staff here that works for the embassy's really welcoming really sociable and the rooms are clean and the pool very nice . atmosphere is very nice would definitely come here every time I come down for Metrocon!!

This hotel should be closed until the construction ends. Unbelievable noise from 8AM - 5PM. Front desk's only answer is that there's nothing they can do about it - WELL, THEN DON'T HAVE GUESTS UNTIL IT'S OVER! Seriously deafening noise in the room, and I was unable to use the room for necessary work calls on my trip.

I have never experienced so many issues with billing, I contacted the property no less than 4 times BEFORE the stay to confirm the details, get to the hotel and they have it wrong. Despite my producing the chat log stating that I had changed things prior Toni denied reality and stated that what was stated in black and white did not exist. OK, spent a day dealing with just that. Now I get home and see an addition $1400 charged to me for the reservation I have cancelled and provided evidence that I cancelled. Unbelievable-DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFO. THEY WILL ABUSE IT!!!

Unfortunately this was one of the worst hotel experiences. We identified we need a crib for an infant on our reservation and confirmed with a worker the day before check in who said they would communicate it to housekeeping. We checked in with no crib and the front desk person said it would be brought to our room. It wasn t after two trips to the front desk and after midnight that they said they didn t have any cribs available and that requests aren t guaranteed . Their solution was bringing us four pillows at 1am so our infant could use them.

Our second day, the manager confirmed that they had no cribs and we waited over 30 minutes for breakfast. The pool was unattended to the point where we had to hunt down a worker for towels and a family stole them because there were none to be found. The elevators did not work so it took almost 20 minutes to get to our room while waiting in our wet clothes. We would have just used the towels from our room, but our request for additional towels that we made at noon was *surprisingly* never fulfilled. We had to take showers and dry off with washcloths because no one from housekeeping or the front desk would answer the phone.

I haven t not seen one person working at the front desk and not much staff around. They do not pick up their phones for assistance. I can t imagine what this hotel is like running at full capacity and would not recommend to try what it might be like based on our experience.

To Whom It May Concern:

We stayed at your hotel over the weekend and had the most horrific experience with the staff and crew. We were treated with extensive disrespect, laughed at, denied basic humane necessities for our stay. This is unacceptable. For over 48 hours, I had to make at least 7 calls requesting toilet paper and washcloths and never got them. I finally spoke to Toni and she was not able to empathize at all. She kept obviously not understanding that people actually need toilet paper I suppose. Then she connected me to a number that was not working and I was disconnected. Then, when I called back, the guest services representative laughed at me very loud when I told her I needed to speak to Toni again, being extremely disrespectful and rude and that was highly uncalled for. Then Toni once again transferred me to a disconnected number to supposedly speak to someone above her, again disconnected like I stated. Then, after calling again she begrudgingly agreed to somewhat discount the room, still clearly not understanding why needing bathroom necessities is a big deal. Clearly she has never been denied her own basic needs, I guess. Worst management and crew ever! And then to make matters even worse, my birthday was Sunday, July 22nd. I will gladly show my ID. Your pool has an obvious sign stating that the pool is open to hotel cards holders from 11pm-6am. There was NO posted signage stating this had changed and NO explanation whatsoever for us to be forcefully removed from the pool. We were not making a racket, we were not intoxicated whatsoever or being rowdy. We were simply trying to enjoy my birthday, before we were once again disrespected and belittled by your staff. Enough is enough. This is absolutely no way to treat people who follow your clearly posted rules and policies and expect for your hotel to adhere to the quality you falsely claim to have. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. The staff will constantly disrespect you, treat you rudely, laugh at you, demean you, deprive you of basic rights and necessities and never provide an explanation and absolutely NEVER find a solution!

I'm a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed at many Hilton properties. This Embassy Suites is by far the worst. We have TVs that don't work, rude wait staff, plugs that don't work, air conditioners that don't cool, refrigerator that doesn't work.

There is not parking other then Valet and it is over 20 dollars a day. The building itself is hollow for a better term. This makes for very noisy environment. This makes sleeping very difficult at night. The breakfast is decent and it is well located but if I can sleep at night there is no reason to stay there.

Stay was fantastic, only a few gripes about our stay. 1st I paid for a bay window room and recieved a city view that I could technically see the bay from but its far from what I imagined. Imo the extra 10 bucks you spend on bay view isn't worth it. There is no street parking and they don't mention until checkin that its $10 a night to park in the garage. And last but not least if you are afraid of heights you may want to specifically ask for a room on a lower floor as the lobby is open and you can see all 20 stories from bottom to top inside the building. We were on the 18th floor and all though scary it did get a bit easier to deal with. Service was absolutely amazing, our pack and play was damaged during travel and they had spares for anyone needing one which was a life saver because I dont know what i would have done without it. The 3rd story roof top pool was open 24 hrs and it had an amazing view of the bay and nice clean water. The people working the lobby were exceptionally professional, and the hotel really is in a prime location. Starbucks in the lobby!!!! There was nothing better than grabbing our morning cup of joe and walking out to the bay to enjoy our coffee. The room was extremely clean. The tv's were large but unfortunately dont have access to video ports if you wanted to hook up a laptop for movies or gaming consoles you're kinda just out of luck there. All in all would totally recommend this place if traveling to Tampa Bay area.

We were surprised at how much the hotel was under renovations and we felt like we were staying at a construction site. The elevators were held up by the cleaning department and we had to eventually take the stairs. The only option for parking was valet and overnight charge was excessive especially since the renovations were taking place. Our room had several light bulbs out and our shower would not drain properly. The breakfast buffet food options were decent however they were cold and not heated properly. We shared our poor experience with the front desk at checkout and was given no feedback or concern. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future nor will we book there again. Bummed to say the least.

I will never stay at this hotel again. It was one thing after the other.

When we got to the hotel the system was down, which is obviously noone s fault. So they asked us to put our name and contact information on a list and advised they would be going by the order of list. We waited for over an hour with no response. There was a long line forming at the desk. I decided to get in line and see where they were in getting their system up because I saw people leaving the desk with keys. In line I waited another hour. Other people had been there longer waiting on a call because they were going by the list. Once it was my turn they couldn t find my reservation. Turns out even though I made the reservation with my card it was under my partner s name. She was able to pull up my reservation with the confirmation number and gave me the room key. I asked why they didn t contact anyone or tell anyone to come back in line and she told me over and over again that their systems were now online. Luckily she took care of our valet (which is pretty much required if you are staying here and is $30 a day just FYI) and apologized. Once we got to the room we found someone else s things in there. They had assigned two reservations to one room. So I went back to front desk, and then the same person (she apologized again) gave us a new room. She said she upgraded us, but going from a reservation with one king sized bed to an unnecessarily large room with two full sized beds was no upgrade. At that point I was just glad to have a room. So we got to the hotel at 1:50pm and didn t get into our room until after 4pm. We had a dinner reservation at 5 which after a full day of driving I couldn t get ready for. All of this shows how disorganized this hotel is.

We noticed later that the WiFi didn t even reach to the bedroom which was really aggravating. The room itself was fine and clean. It was just getting there that was aggravating. Once they charged my credit card it was also the wrong one. I had changed this early in the reservation so I m not sure how it got changed back.

Needless to say I won t stay here again. If a hotel has no solution to their system being down and doesn t communicate it s not worth staying in at all. There are plenty of other hotels near the convention that we will stay at.

If I could give this hotel a ZERO star rating I would. I stayed for 4 days to attend Metrocon at the convention center right next to the hotel. We booked a 2 bed suite, but when we went to check in there were none available. They decided to give us 2 rooms and told us we would not be charged for the second room. We had booked the weekend for a total of $609, but were not told about the MASSIVE room insurance fee. ($300!!!!!)
On top of that I was only told valet was $20 a night. (No biggie) but was then charged a $150 hold on my car. Not to mention all of the staff was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. We not only had to bring our stuff up to the room, but when leaving we had to carry it all down the stairs from the 12th floor, no help offered. When we tried to get out, I was told to pull around about 3 times because the valet workers were too impatient to wait for my friends to bring the rest of the bags down (we had approx 6-7 bags) and load it up ourselves. Nothing about my stay here was pleasurable and I WILL NOT be staying here ever again. I do not advise anyone to stay here ever.

We are staying with a huge group for a wedding... checked in on time, and our room was not ready, making us late for rehearsal. Waited 40 mins to get in the elevator to even get to our room because of a convention and lack of direction from the hotel staff. I'm 9 months pregnant, and there are guests having a loud meeting going on outside our door. It's now almost 11:30 at night! We have a 1 year old who doesn't want to go to sleep because of the loud guests from the convention crowding the entire hotel. Also, not enough pillows in our room, and they "ran out". This has been the worst case scenario, such a shame to have booked months in advance and pay for such terrible accommodations. They seem to be very understaffed for all going on, so much for a good nights sleep before such a big day for our family. Will never stay here again! Also, the showers barely got hot and the rooms AC was not cool, very uncomfortable .

Great Location, when making the reservation we did not know how much construction was going on right across the street. We work nights making daytime our sleep time. Being a Hilton Diamond member I thought it would be easy to change hotels. The manager at the Embassy Suites told us tough we had prepaid they said sorry you are stuck and walked away. Thank goodness the Hilton Diamond desk was able to override this manage full of himself to move us to another property that was better for our needs

Our favorite place to stay for Metrocon annually. The breakfast is amazing and the omelette chefs really are fantastic. Absolutely worth it for the price we pay; totally blows other con hotels out of the water.

Nice hotel, good location and nice staff but mismanaged. When checking in the front desk informed us of a game so parking would be hard to get so we used valet. Returning that evening when they knew it was a busy night they only had one staff to park, a line around the hotel and out in th street with a 30+ minute wait. Same the next morning with breakfast only one poor guy serving and a 30+ minute wait. Managers walking around should have jumped in or found help. And not a Covid issue just mismanaged.

I got a ginger ale at the bar. The service was great, but the drink was over $3. The bartender have me free refills though, so it wasn't too bad. I also went back later and got their hamburger lunch deal. The deal came with a cheeseburger, chips and a drink. The hamburger was cooked very nicely, and was a great deal for the money .
