Embassy suites are great. Best place to stay beats Marriott. Just noise and volume of guests wear out a place. It's great all around. Staff are all tired and over worked, foot traffic in and out is alot, we had quiet room tho constent noise from elevator was annoying, we had quiet neighbors and such a tight schedule couldnt take time to change rooms. Just the area the hotel is located in creates the environment the workers have to function in. They need to give some more TLC to this hotel it's just like a 24 hr McDonalds,.

If you have to stay here, try to get a room as far away from the elevators as possible. There is an open atrium in the middle of the hotel and the sound of the elevators going up and down can be heard all night long. I have no idea why they don't put the elevators in a shaft to at least dampen the sound.

Excellent location in Tampa near River walk, convention center, and easy walk to Tampa General Hospital. There is also a Publix grocery store within walking distance.
I did not get to enjoy the pool, restaurant or evening reception, but was very pleased with hotel.

Worse stay ever, except I couldn't even stay! We got to the hotel, there was very loud music from the only restaurant, so no choice, specially for our autistic son, then you have to wait almost half our in line, to get checked in, and when you do they say, well you have reservation but we don't have a room, never mind you traveled from far, and youre here at night with an autistic boy, we sold your room to someone else or were too incompetent to stop selling rooms when we sold out. In the meantime, they offered to put us up in a dump, and pay for it, which we declined. As our son was getting ansy, we ordered a sandwhich to go from the noisy restaurant, only to be told that we cant sit at the bar because of the child, but we could stand next to the bar. In 25 years traveling the world, never did I see a worse operation, if you want a good stay, in Tampastay away from Embassy Suites

Beautiful hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Tampa. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. I was told they are going to renovate. I said. "How can you improve on perfection" Really enjoyed my stay.

Stayed over night for concert. Cocktail hour, breakfast and suite were great. Big downside was waiting 30 minutes for valet to retrieve your car. At $28 for parking, one should expect better service. Parking could be deal breaker next time.

This is a nice hotel but first they booked us the wrong room and had to put is in a handicap room... No biggie. Then, when we came back from the concert we were locked out of our room. Security came and their key didn't work either. Still sitting here locked out of our room. It's almost 1:00 AM! We paid over $500 for this room. I've never been more unsatisfied. If I could give zero stars I would.

The view is great, the lobby looks amazing and the location is good as well. The only problem is there aren't many food options within walking distance, but otherwise my stay was great. Also the breakfast is good

This place was horrible, the drain in the tub was broken, we waited to get the drain fixed, digital key hardly ever worked, no clean towels or even toilet paper, one trash can. The list goes on and on.

I've tried to hold off reviewing because I've hoped things would get better. Day 29 in last two months, I'll avoid naming anything else and will leave it at the three different types of hairs on the toilet seat is but one indication that my room is not clean.

The rooms are huge, we have a microwave, fridge, and a TV in both the bedroom and sitting area. If you're on the side with the river, the views are absolutely beautiful.
They have a restaurant that's quite good and a Starbucks in the lobby.
The hotel is pretty fancy, with a valet and everything. The inside lobby is really cool in my opinion, since it's decorated with lots of palm trees and fountains. The elevator is also cool since it has an outside view as you rise to the top of the building.
The pool is also really cool! I really really like it here

It was beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I stayed in suite 418 and everything was nice until the middle of the night on our last night the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. The bathtub and sink drained very slowly. I did tell the front desk and they said they d make a note of it. Had it been our first night I would have asked to be moved to another suite

The room smelled funny. There were small flying bugs in the room and some in the paper coffee cups, then the power went out and the elevator wasn't working. I was on the 7th floor. I stayed there because I was invited to a wedding held on the dinner cruise. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. A positive thing was the bed was comfortable.

Haven't had air conditioning since we checked in we had to buy our own fans told management that I have serious breathing problems and so does my autistic son. I've been living in this room while my kitchen is being remodeled at our home locally nothing has been done for us please someone help us.

This hotel is wonderful. They offer a complementary happy hour in the evening. It is a limited bar with 3 beers to choose from on tap. However the hotel room is a little disappointing in some areas. The air conditioning is lacking. The thermostat claims it's been lowered however after many hours of waiting I beg to differ. The bed is uncomfortable. I woke up with a crick in my neck.

I had the choice of staying at the Embassy Suites or the Marriott for a conference I was attending in Tampa. I selected the Embassy Suites while my colleagues stayed at the Marriott. I made the better choice. Complimentary breakfast was to die for. I enjoyed a hearty breakfast provided by the hotel, while my colleagues had to purchase theirs at $16. The two hour complimentary cocktail time was a very unexpected treat as well. Once again I made my colleagues jealous. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to those visiting downtown Tampa. Thanks for a very wonderful stay and for all the extra treats. 5+ Stars.

Check In was at 4....... we didn t get a room until 6:30PM because too many people checked out late the previous day . The front desk staff was rude and belittling. We had an event to go to and ended up walking across the street to stay at the Marriott. If you don t mind spending a little extra money, just stay at the Marriott. Embassy Suites should be ashamed with their poor customer service.

The hotel is gorgeous both inside and out. The location immediately next to Amelie Arena is convenient and offers beautiful views of downtown or the bay from any room. Despite renovations over various parts of the hotel there was rarely any disruptions or disturbances.

The hotel overall is fine, but beware the mandatory valet. Both times we had to do it, it seemed there's only one valet guy working. We sat in the street for 20 minutes. The second time, we ended paying $10 to park across the street, and when we walked up, there were three cars sitting in the driveway with no one in them.

Rented 2 rooms for a night. One room had fair air conditioning, the other was poor and couldn't cool the room adequately.

Bottled water in the room was almost $4 a bottle.

Hotel parking was valet only and almost impossible to find the entrance. $24 for valet parking and a whopping $30 added on if you didn't retrieve your car before checkout.

No program guide on the TV. They require you to download and PAY for a program guide on one of their apps to see what's showing on the channels (of which there were probably less than 40, not counting news and hotel info, etc).

Long waits for elevators. 4 of them handling 20 floors.

Complete waste of money. The only reason we stayed there was to get to the convention center easily since walking causes me excruciating pain. Choose another place if you can.

Expensive for what you get. The place is beautiful inside and has large rooms. There is no concierge, I lost my phone charger on the plane and their solution was $14 at the gift shop. When I called the front desk for help they were slow and forgetful. Not impressed at all. There are much better options at this price point.
