Embassy Suites Hampton Roads - Hotel, Spa & Convention Center Review

The rooms are nice! But the elevator smelled like moldy cheese.

I recommend it to stay when visiting Hamptom Newport News Virginia USA

Great location for the active family. Everything you need is within a mile or so of the hotel. Free hot breakfast & free happy hour drink for those who want to indulge. Hotel has a spa, pool, hot tub, & star bucks. Hotel really really close to the convention center and Coliseum so every now & then events bring more people to the area. Not to much of an inconvenience but you'll have to adjust your traffic pattern.

Best location to stay for shows at Coliseum and especially Convention Center.

I have had a great experience both occasions I stayed at this location.

Great hotel, the staff was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Embassy suites is out hotel of choice.

Hotel is kind of dirty and not well kept. Lobby is nice, but rooms need a makeover.

I enjoyed my stay there very enjoyable Rome was nice and clean I wish they would get the hot tub that's really why I went there to stay didn't know it was not there any more

Checked in at 630pm and arrived at room to find it hadn't been cleaned or made up. The young man behind the reception desk kept shaking his head and rolling his eyes at everything we said--and we were quite polite. Apparently he didn't approve of us as guests.

Meanwhile the hotel resembles an airline terminal in a third world country. I'm not sure the staff should display quite so much attitude when their operation is incompetent.

I almost went for the Red Roof Inn, but the Embassy is SO MUCH better! They provide breakfast, the rooms are the best I've ever seen, and the employees are amazingly kind.

Managers hours 5 to 7.. free drink reception nightly... Free full breakfast daily. Across from collosium. Friendly staff 24/7. Safe and beautiful. Pool and workout area fully equipped and beautiful. Pool has lift for disabled guest. Rooms is all suites... And beautiful. Pullout sofa in living room area. Love it. Sign up for reward points...

My husband and I stay here about once a month just to have a "time out". The staff is friendly, professional and attentive. The manager's reception starts our night out perfectly and the made-to-order breakfast gets us going the next morning.

Create your own omelet tasted awesome and the rest of breakfast was very good too

The service at the hotel was great but not the accommodations. While the rooms are spacious, I was severely bitten by bed bugs the one night that I was there. The manager was very nice because he gave all of my money back and steamed our items. However, this is definitely not something that is expected at a 4 star hotel.

Great location directly adjacent to the convention center, beautiful open lobby area, friendly service. Clean, spacious and accommodating rooms. Excellent work, lounge, interview space in the rooms with door separating living space.

Friendly staff and smooth event organization. Only complaint is that they do charge even overnight guests for Wifi, which most hotels have stopped doing.

The rooms could be a little nicer. The staff is great. I would return.

The staff is okay do I people in the hotel that don't belong there they were smoking pot and knocking on my door at 4 in the morning and no one does anything about it I would not recommend this Embassy Suites

Very fancy, expensive hotel with a lot of amenities. Restaurant inside was decent, and complimentary breakfast was a large buffet of items to choose from.

Location is right by the highway, pretty close to a lot of restaurants and adjacent to the convention center. Room was good and clean, with two televisions.

Poor event services. Don't ever plan an event here. Banquet manager and staff very unreasonable. Food portions small and may even be molded.

Hotel room itself is pretty average. What shines is happy hour where drinks and light snacks are free every day for a couple hours in the evening.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby is extraordinary. Pool is cozy and ample parking for guess. 3 minutes to the outside mall, theater and other interesting things to do around.

Stay every year for husbands Christmas party. The atmosphere is very nice, rooms are always very clean and the breakfast is always great. Especially the made to order omelets!

My favorite place to stay in Hampton! Clean and the restaurant's was great.

Our family stayed at this hotel for several days and I must admit I was impressed, for the $98 per night we spent to stay there, it was well worth it. The breakfast is great, and the evening reception was nice as well, unlimited free drinks & snacks. The only complaint that I would have is that the cleaning staff really needs to clean the hotel room windows after someone leaves. The windows were very dirty. The beds were very comfortable and the place appeared to be well kept. We would stay again.

This hotel is starting to show its need for a remodel pretty badly. Carpet, tub, and furniture in my last room were all in pretty bad shape. The quality of the housekeeping is apparently declining as well, my last two stays I found trash tucked behind the desk or cups left on the windowsill from the previous guests. Front desk folks are nice, and the location is still good.

Great place next to the convention center. Love coming here for nekocon and new years

Rooms were lovely, spacious. Staff was kind and courteous. Breakfast and evening drinks were delicious. Seemed to be having issues with keys. My husband and I were both locked out of our room at different times and had to go get our keys reset at the front desk.

The hotel was clean and nice. Could use some updating on carpet and wall paper. It had a drab dark feel. Overall the staff was great and friendly. And there is a Starbucks inside which was fantastic. I will be staying again

Parking was difficult when the hotel was full. The mattresses seemed very old and sunken. Pretty decent breakfast. Wish the had power outlets next to the bed. This is 2018 people; get the lamps with outlets at the base.

Came for a going-away luncheon and had the buffet. Great food and service as usual.

The front desk was very courteous and helpful, and gave great customer service. Room service was good but the food left much to be desired, housekeeping was rude. We left a do not disturb sign on the door she opened it any way to ask if we needed anything .

The room they checked us into wasn't clean and the beds hadd hair and stains in it,the bathroom had soap up from previous guess!! You pay for a 4.0 star hotel but it's actually the same as staying at the MOTEL 6

Just a heads up- these clowns charge $10/night per vehicle just to park even if there s nothing going on at the convention center. And the rooms are dated. Better bang for buck pretty much anywhere else.

Good benefits with the 2-room suite, vast breakfast spread, and evening reception (free drinks!). The bar downstairs has decent food. The reason I'm not giving 4 stars is that the hotel is pretty dated. I've stayed here a lot, and many of the rooms have marks on the walls, old and sometimes faulty hardware, the decor and furniture are old, there are water leaks near the hotel entrance. Basically, it's in need of renovation. The pool and the gym are just ok. Overall, I'll keep coming back for the amenities, but I hope they renovate soon.

This facility could use better management. When I arrived and got settled in my room, I turned on the TV to find there isn't an onscreen guide and no channel card in the room. I had to go back down to the front desk for a channel guide and no one in the hotel could tell me the cable provider so I could look up the TV guide. The last person I asked said he would check and never got back to me. Two of the three elevators were shut down to replace flooring instead if doing one at a time. The rooms were showing wear, the dust ruffle around the bed had holes in it and the carpet was dirty. The carpet in the hallways had dust around the edges and the baseboards were coated with dust.

Beautiful facility! Tyler was an absolute joy! Customer service at it's best.

My second sty at this hotel and I wanted to return because my first stay was wonderful. The amenities were fantastic and the service was get. The staff was very efficient and the room was great. I will return to this hotel when I go back to the area.

This was our fourth visit. We choose it because it connects to the convention center quilt show. We have typically been very satisfied, and when we are not the manager makes it right. Recommended.

The place was fine but there were long lines for breakfast. Plus, the shower didn't work! Also, I heard screeching noises out of my room.
