It was really good. I enjoyed the food and the people were very great. They were good people, great people, the best people. This is detailed.

I have stayed at Embassy Suites for over 20 years with very few issues UNTIL AUGUST 1ST 2015. We checked into Suite 229 and a few hours into our stay, my wife turned down the bed at appx. 6 p.m. to enjoy a nap. We found a dirty pair of low cut girls socks in the bed along with a hair clip full of hair. It was gross.
I called the manager on duty right away (David) who said he would send up housekeeping right away. He then offered to pay for a rental car if I had one. I explained no rental car so then he said he would pay for valet $42.00 and any movies my family would order is on the house. I said fine.
Housekeeping did not show up so we went to dinner. Upon returning around 8 p.m., housekeeping still was a no show. I called again and talked to yet another "Manager on duty" who said they would be up quickly to fix the bed. NO SHOWS AGAIN. I called again and was told that Housekeeping had left and that someone would come make a bed with fresh linens, AGAIN, NO SHOW.
AT 12:01 A.M. A SECURITY GUARD KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND DROPS OFF 1 FLAT SHEET AND SAYS THAT IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO. My wife and I decided to sleep on the floor next to the bed instead of sleeping with anymore gross surprises.
I woke up to find a bill for $123.14 under my door which consisted of the valet and movies that were supposed to be covered because of the nasty bed issue.
I went down to the front desk where I met Manager CHRISTOPHER TROWSDELL the smallest little POS on the earth. I asked why I got the bill and explained what my family had endured and he said well "the computer does not have anything noted so I don't know what I can do for you" I asked him to phone the other 2 managers I had dealt with and he refused. He explained that he was a manager and held a seat on the board and what he decided was going to be the way it was. He asked my wife and I "who watches 5 movies and expects us to foot the bill" I told him we watched 2 movies and not 5 and that I was going to reverse all hotel charges when I returned home. Christopher chuckled and said "good luck trying to reverse the charges because you used Expedia to book the room, not us" I raised my voice a little and explained how wronged I felt and simply walked away to go have breakfast.
After eating I went back to the room with my wife to find that our key cards had been de activated and I am guessing it was because I raised my voice at the very under trained Christopher?
Checking in was awesome and the young man ALI was very well trained, friendly and helped us get in quickly but the remainder of the stay was a nightmare. Maybe I would expect trash at a Motel 6 but not a room that cost $404.00
Christopher Trowsdell is a POS and he is lucky he had the large counter to hide behind. What a complete A Hole. Shame on Embassy Suites San Diego on Pacific.
Rooms, guest services, surroundings, breakfasts and most amenities were outstanding. The only negative was the weak wifi signal from our room.
Nice family hotel. They are short staffed at check in and at breakfast. A senior fell down the stairs. No one came to help him up! Our dishes didn't get picked up for the longest time. Last time I visited 2 years ago I received a $10 dunken donuts gift card and a dunken coffee cup at check in. This time I received 2 bottles of water and only after insisting for them, even though I'm an honors member.
ES is probably the best location downtown if you want to got to Seaport Village or the USS Midway. Free cocktails too.
The room and service is fantastic. The view of the bay is awesome and we even see the SS Midway and Reagan from our balcony. Breakfast is high quality and the evening happy hour thing is cool. Definetly recommend it.
Beautiful hotel and nice amenities - gave 4 stars due to the noise from the lobby.
Great place, but parking fee is too much! $50.00 a day, yikes
I used the embassy suites to park at for a parade near by. The hotel was clean and nice looking. The restrooms (which is bout the only thing we used), were clean and presentable.
Pretty much has it all, perfect location for work and play.
Room was fine. Service was solid. Morning breakfast was decent. Parking is expensive at $46. Overall satisfied.
Breakfast included an omelette and was delicious. The gym was small and limited. The rooms were quiet and spacious.
9/2015 - Stayed here for our sons Marine graduation week. $160 a night which we got lucky in booking for that price because the rep was new. Pool turned my swim trunks brown, there was several roaches in our room, and something I ate for dinner made me sick the first night. Also, when we booked our rooms, we weren't told about the massive nightly parking fee. We ended up taking the local train each morning and evening to pickup a rental and drop it back off. We were also charged the entire price of our room plus a very large security deposit as soon as we checked in which I've never had happen at any hotel unless you pay in advance through a booking site for a nonrefundable room. Manager explained everything and said he would make it right by us the next time, which happened to be a year later for our nephews Marine graduation, in which we simply asked for the same deal we got last time for the same amount of rooms, but guess what, nothing!!! They wanted to charge us $350 a night!!! We ended up staying at a cheaper motel on motel row and we were a lot happier this time with our stay. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because of the breakfast. That was by far one of the best hotel breakfast bars we've found.
It's my favorite place to stay, more so when I have a commitment in the downtown area.
55$ a day valley parking, no self park. Breakfast is burrito and yogurt.
Yes, there is construction going on. No, I'm not self-absorbed enough to let that ruin my stay.
The room was spectacular as well as the view and the price was great. The housekeeping staff was really kind and did a great job. I completely recommend and will be staying again.
Always an excellent stay! Accomadated our room w/a crib, gave us a room on the same florr as friends, and their manager special is always great! I would always stay here when I visit San Diego!
My family have been staying at this hotel for decades, and it has never disappointed. The staff is excellent, the grounds are immaculate, and the room views are second to none. Because of this hotel, I have trouble staying anywhere else. Even the Embassy Suites in La Jolla, which is great and a pleasure to stay at, doesn't even come close to the experience in Downtown.
Nice rooms and views of the bay. A little bit of a walk to the main gas lamp area
The hotel is beautiful and well laid out. Service is outstanding and would recommend this to anyone.
Loved it.. Had flowers sent to there front desk held them there for me as many surprises for my girlfriend Birthday.. As we enjoyed USS MIDWAY, SeaWorld and I went for a ride on last day to Noble Cnyn. Before refilling my growlers at Karl's Strauss
I stayed at the embassy suites for a vacation. Overall, it is a nice hotel that is conveniently located across the street from the seaport. There is a Cheesecake Factory and Harbor House seafood restaurant located across the street. It is only 3 blocks from the Gaslamp District, which is a popular site. This embassy suites has an actual restaurant on site. It still has the traditional breakfast buffet and evening social hour. The staff is very friendly and efficient, from the bellman at the door, to the concierge in the lobby. You can get rooms with either a Bayview or view of downtown San Diego.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. Parking is $55 a night for non Hilton honors and $45 a night for Hilton Honors members. Be prepared to pay an extra $45 to $55 on your nightly bill. Also, the rooms have windows to the hallway, so you can hear people walking by at night. During my stay, there was a rave down the street. At about 12:00 am people were yelling from the balconies of the hotel. Despite these downsides, the Embassy Suites was a good stay for the price.
The embassy suites downtown is excellent! The rooms are wonderful and have great views. They also have a complimentary happy hour! If you're looking to stay downtown, I highly recommend the Embassy Suites.
Great service and location of hotel. Room with great views and space.
Very nice accommodations and very polite staff. Totally satisfied.
Upon arrival we were given a dirty room, and parking is very expensive.
The location is perfect. Close to downtown. Free open bar and breakfast definitely helped my wallet and gave me a positive attitude. The amenities are fantastic. I felt pampered for sure
I met some family there for an evening, seems like a very nice place.
I started off on the 11th floor. But both the TV and the WiFi didn't work, so I complained and after a while, they moved my to the 6th floor. Other than that, everything else is good.
It seems like a really elegant hotel. I stopped by just for business and did not have the opportunity of staying in a room. But from what I saw. It looks like a place I would love to stay at.
Great service and nice rooms. Really impressed with complimentary breakfast choices
Location is perfect, close to many attractions, rooms are clean and comfy, excellent service!
Rooms are spacious, great service, decent breakfast, and awesome views. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel, good location, but stupidly high parking cost. $50 a day for vallet, which is the only option at the hotel.
Nice hotel, closer to the water. Parking is very expensive.
Very outdated. In the middle of renovations. Noise interference with sleeping rooms and conferences. A lot of homeless in area of hotel. No restrooms available outside of room. Check back when updates and repairs.
Rooms are sizeable. Nice put out bed. Staff is friendly.
Had a great room on 12th floor with a bay view. Great experience
Nice digs in all, you've got to like the included breakfast. All the facilities seem to be updated, very central location especially if you need to be at the convention center.
If you have the best facilities at the price, you must use the valet service and pay an additional fee of $ 50.
A modest and convenient choice around town for conference attendees. Nothing fancy but good view and location.
Very nice ,clean place. Wonderful breakfast, very accommodating. Great location for bay walking
$200 a night for a basic room. They can't even be bothered to throw in free wifi? ($13 a day, even for lobby). I will just keep giving 1 star to every hotel that does this; it makes no sense.
Great location. Clean rooms, check-in was slow and room wasn't ready however we willl stay again. They had a happy hour and a very nice breakfast both included with stay.
The black concierge was kind to me one night I was stranded.
Met people briefly for social event. Rooms were nice with balcony to outside.
My son had a severe allergic reacrion to the cleaning chemicals used in the room and had to go home a day early
Our trip was a bust
The hotel needs some repairs it is an older hotel which has been renovated the staff are excellent
The customer service was of superior quality. I have had a very pleasant stay. The included breakfast is tremendous!
Nice clean rooms. Excellent views. Short walking distance to piers or to see Padres baseball game.
Having a suite, free breakfast and drink reception really helps the stay be complete
Clean rooms, friendly staff, decent free breakfast and happy hour. Very close to the bay and walking distance of some great restaurants and bar.
Nice, clean, compliantry happy hour, all indoor rooms, valet parking, close to beach!!
This was the best hotel I've ever stayed at my whole freaking life I will never stay at another hotel ever again I was so excited I got busy flight times
Is very centrally located rooms are big and beautiful I like San Diego very much
Nice, but $50 per car, per night to park is quite excessive. For the price of the room, there should be a working showerhead, water sprayed all over the floor. Breakfast was not up to the standard of the Embassy suites
I have been staying at the embassy suites for decades now only hotel chain I really like never once had a negative experience with them until this trip to San Diego the location is awesome however the staff and the room were not. The bathroom tub was peeling bad there was mold under the sink rim the staff were lazy to say the least not very helpful at all for the most part. Then to top it off they over charged me
I was shocked at the parking price for one night was 50.00..that was 25% of my room rate...i tried to cancel less than 1 hour after making my reservation because i found another location that was less expensive also A.S. hotel..but they would have charged me anyway...no one ever explained parking price would be so high...
Convenient location, spacious rooms, great breakfast, free drinks at night. It was a fantastic choice.
Went on a date stop by there to get away from the gaslamp something different ambience
We had a great view of boats on the harbor, and everything was very convenient The staff here are excellent and it's perfect for families.
Comfortable space but overpriced and parking is inconvenient.
