I have stayed at Embassy Suites for over 20 years ...

I have stayed at Embassy Suites for over 20 years with very few issues UNTIL AUGUST 1ST 2015. We checked into Suite 229 and a few hours into our stay, my wife turned down the bed at appx. 6 p.m. to enjoy a nap. We found a dirty pair of low cut girls socks in the bed along with a hair clip full of hair. It was gross.

I called the manager on duty right away (David) who said he would send up housekeeping right away. He then offered to pay for a rental car if I had one. I explained no rental car so then he said he would pay for valet $42.00 and any movies my family would order is on the house. I said fine.

Housekeeping did not show up so we went to dinner. Upon returning around 8 p.m., housekeeping still was a no show. I called again and talked to yet another "Manager on duty" who said they would be up quickly to fix the bed. NO SHOWS AGAIN. I called again and was told that Housekeeping had left and that someone would come make a bed with fresh linens, AGAIN, NO SHOW.

AT 12:01 A.M. A SECURITY GUARD KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND DROPS OFF 1 FLAT SHEET AND SAYS THAT IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO. My wife and I decided to sleep on the floor next to the bed instead of sleeping with anymore gross surprises.

I woke up to find a bill for $123.14 under my door which consisted of the valet and movies that were supposed to be covered because of the nasty bed issue.

I went down to the front desk where I met Manager CHRISTOPHER TROWSDELL the smallest little POS on the earth. I asked why I got the bill and explained what my family had endured and he said well "the computer does not have anything noted so I don't know what I can do for you" I asked him to phone the other 2 managers I had dealt with and he refused. He explained that he was a manager and held a seat on the board and what he decided was going to be the way it was. He asked my wife and I "who watches 5 movies and expects us to foot the bill" I told him we watched 2 movies and not 5 and that I was going to reverse all hotel charges when I returned home. Christopher chuckled and said "good luck trying to reverse the charges because you used Expedia to book the room, not us" I raised my voice a little and explained how wronged I felt and simply walked away to go have breakfast.

After eating I went back to the room with my wife to find that our key cards had been de activated and I am guessing it was because I raised my voice at the very under trained Christopher?

Checking in was awesome and the young man ALI was very well trained, friendly and helped us get in quickly but the remainder of the stay was a nightmare. Maybe I would expect trash at a Motel 6 but not a room that cost $404.00

Christopher Trowsdell is a POS and he is lucky he had the large counter to hide behind. What a complete A Hole. Shame on Embassy Suites San Diego on Pacific.
