I have to admit being a diamond member doesn't earn me what I deserve here.

Upon check in, front desk just told me there was no room ready yet. I understood because there was a conference nearby. However, when I came back two hours later she told me still no room available. Fine, I would wait. Then I kept seeing people checking in and getting room keys. So I asked what's going on. Then they told me there was other room type available if I would want those. Why did you not even ask me two hours ago?

So they checked me in, never asked me if I need to get points or welcome drink. Come on! I am a diamond member!

Hotel very well located in the center of San Diego, very convenient for the petco convention center or stadiums.
The good: very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, friendly staff and all the amenities that a hotel can have.
The bad: high prices in the area and the worst is the price per day of parking more than $ 50 per day (more expensive than the rental of the vehicle)
In general good hotel if you can pay and if you are not going to move in your vehicle or rent.

Ok hotel, decent breakfast with omelette station, beds are comfortable, shower works.. kind of...! Bums set up tents in the street across from the hotel was a big surprise for this first time visitor.
Housekeeping only so so, found candy and other items on the carpet from previous residents, forgot to stock shampoo, rinse. No coffe/tea in the lobby during evenig and early morning.

Service - Excellent

Service - Excellent

Rooms - Great

Location - Pretty exquisite view on 2 to 3 sides and close to tourist areas

Breakfast - Yum Yum (Free)

Parking - Supa Pricy ($46)

Dunkin' Donuts Next Door - Ok

G Street Deli Next Door - Best sandwiches in town

Only thing I hated was the loud toilet flush. And the parking price.

Classic large American hotel with large rooms and large bathrooms, not brand new, but in excellent condition. The buffet breakfast was included in the price of the room which, luckily for us, had a beautiful view of the sea and the seaport shops, one of the nicest places in San Diego which is therefore a stone's throw away

Newly renovated rooms 2019/2020 are clean and modern. Staff are friendly, and location is pretty convenient.

The same amenities as other Embassy Suites, breakfast, happy hour, pool. Valet only and it's pretty pricy.

I took a star off because the guest laundry is coin operated, but there are no changes machines and neither the front desk, store, or valet is able to make change.

Great location, great view, loved the happy hour time. The pool is a little small, but still nice. We went to the front desk to ask about WiFi, and they gave us a password so we didn't have to pay for it.

We stayed here for Comic-Con and the rooms were very specious and clean!!! I would definitely book this hotel again for another trip. It was within walling distance to the convention center about maybe 4 or 5 blocks.

I love this hotel! All suite rooms with great views of the bay and the USS Midway. Walk across the street to food, a park, small business shopping, the walkway by the bay, the Midway and more. The free, made-to-order breakfast is incredible. I would come back in a heartbeat.

The view alone could make me come back. We had a great time, the service was great and they had a great perk where if you optionally chose to skip room cleaning, you would get $5 toward food or drink at the restaurants (including Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins). The breakfast was a little crazy closer to its end, but the food itself was good. The only issue I'd even say I had was that their toilets flushing was an act of God's will. You really had to put some muscle into it and it usually took a few flushes.

Very very good location and view from high rooms. The cleaning was very bad but the staff very friendly. The breakfast has great egg station but that's about it. Free wifi for HHONORS is very good.

Horrible. I was so disappointed. Our room was dirty, the sofa was torn, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. We then found a large wet area on the carpet. They checked the plumbing end the air conditioning, and then concluded it was something from a previous guest. My guess is that a toilet overflowed. Unfortunately, they did not have another room to move us in. It was a miserable, miserable stay.

Pros to coming to this particular hotel are following. Their continental breakfast has both ate cooked to order line which provides any a combination including omelets with all of the goodies with bacon sausage and potatoes available at that station. Another line or station offers scrambled eggs bacon sausage potatoes with your choice of fresh fruit as well as yogurts they have all of the normal Danish is muffins and bagels beverages are everything you could think up from soda to fresh juice true coffee with multiple creamers. And as everyone knows breakfast nowadays can be quiet as expensive as almost dinner. Then before you go to dinner I suggest making a reservation around 7:45 or 8 and enjoy the cocktail and beer provided every evening between 5:30 and 7:30, which we're bottomless and had great bartending staff even though it's a limited mixed drink selection but they have four different beers on tap and a big screen TV for Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football. We had a corner suite and it was quite roomie. It comes with a microwave refrigerator wet bar with its own dining table living room couch and TV with a closing door to the main bedroom the bathroom has a sink and toilet with shower but outside of the bathroom is another small wet bar for doing your hair and makeup with a plug for blow dryer so every man doesn't have to have his wife in the bathroom doing makeup while you're trying to get rid of yourself. The bed was very comfortable the windows open allowing you to get fresh air in but they don't open enough of course that would harm a child or the child would even be able to get or reach the open window as it is a Louver halfway up the window but it was nice to enjoy the ocean breeze and what is normally a stuffy Hotel. My one and only downfall and negative comment that all make and I'm sure you'll read it on me any other reviews is the cost the parking they offer no other parking then valet which is $50 a day. So if you're flying into San Diego and will be ubering around this hotel is great for you in fact it is right at the train stop which takes you everywhere from the baseball field to the convention center to Gaslamp and Beyond it actually can take you all the way to the Border if you choose at Tijuana for $6 a day for Endless and unlimited transfers and public transportation. Hopefully you choose this hotel as I'm sure I will and if you go green and choose not to have your room cleaned daily you get an additional $5 which can be used at any of the eateries we chose to get calamari at New York Pizza but you can also exchanged it for 1,000 Hilton points. So far three days day we got $15 to do it as we chose

Clean hotel and VERY BIG COMFORTABLE ROOMS, bet you'd love to live there. I visited this hotel in January 2017, I don't know if things have changed since then but I remember we even got free breakfast from the hotel and its was very yummy and cool. Best hotel I have ever been to and I have been to many!

I checked into this hotel via the hilton honors app and upon check-in I was assigned a specific room that I chose. When I arrived I was told my room wasn't ready but it would be soon so I waited. 1.5 hours later I asked about the room and they told me it would be another two hours. I also found out that when I arrived they changed my room without telling me. They ended up putting me in an undesirable room close to lower level with lots of construction noise and lots of noise from the morning breakfast served. Also when I checked in they asked if I'd like to skip room service for 1000 points per day. I agreed but they still had my room serviced daily even though I asked again to stop. Overall this hotel was not worth the price I paid. I could have reserved a much nicer hotel close by for the same price.

Stayed here at the Embassy on my most recent stay in San Diego. Service was great ! Breakfast & Happy Hour 5:30-7:30 Included which was a great deal. Only recommendation I have for the management staff is to update the worn leather sofa in room 219 .
I highly recommend this hotel great value & location .

Great accomodations, fantastic "free" breakfast including eggs/omelettes to order. "Free" happy hour every night. Within walking distance to many local attractions including the USS Midway. Staff is friendly & helpfully. The in-room snacks are "free".

I really enjoyed this Embassy Suites. Tons were comfortable and location was great. Staff were courteous and helpful. Clean all around and a great location to everything you would need. Prices reasonable. Evening reception and morning breakfast were a big plus. I'll stay here anytime I'm in San Diego.

Central location for visiting San Diego. Our previous stays were five stars. This time they gave our reserved room to someone else. Booked three months in advance! Called local desk day before advising late check in for wedding party. Bummer.

The hotel is really nice; the interior beautiful, the staff fast and friendly, the pull-out couch beds lumpy and difficult to sleep on. I love all the little amenities they provide in the rooms, too. If I had only one complaint, it was the free continental breakfast they provided. I get that they have made-to-order pancakes and French toast, your choice of four different juices, milk, coffee, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cold cereals, etc.. But my beef lies with their so-called "omelette bar." After waiting in line and giving the nice man at the counter my choice of the fine selection of fillings, he proceeded to not make me an omelette. He instead made me a frittata! A frittata! I actually had to look up what a frittata was so I could make sure they were different enough for me to complain about! I mean, it was delicious and excellently prepared, but technically it was false advertising. I'm pretty sore about it. I think I'm going to need a frittata to calm myself down.
