Terrible and nothing reliable!

Terrible and nothing reliable!
They do not respect reservations!

I made a reservation one month in advance and upon arrival at the embassy suites at 2am on 5 April 2018 they tell me: sorry we are overbooked which means they accepted more reservations for the rooms they have.

That's how simple they sent me to the street and they told me that my reservation was no longer valid because they simply did not have a room for me that night!

It was 2am I was with my family and at that time I had to go to another hotel!

I do not deserve nor will I ever make a reservation in that chain embassy suites!

They do not respect reservations.

Corner building and is near the ocean and plenty of nearby restaurants. Lobby is very clean and spacious, which is the same for the suites. I thought the breakfast seemed rushed compared to other Embassy's. Be aware that there is no self-parking and is all valet, which is quite pricey. Besides the breakfast and parking would consider this place again for another trip.

Very nice Embassy with excellent employees that are very interested in providing outstanding customer support. The 2 hour free happy hour is great although lines can be long. Free breakfast with cook to order options is the best.

Loved it. The managers reception was nice they had a lot of drink options. The breakfast was also very good. The omelettes were delicious. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Only complaint is the parking fee. Its pricey ay 55.00 a night.

The room was clean, the bathroom was dated. Not the greatest breakfast compared to other Embassy l have visited, also while the room was clean on arrival, the second night we noticed shortcuts that houskeeping took. Still, the staff was friendly and over all with a party of 6 it was a good value.

This place was great. Our room was was the biggest hotel room I have ever seen, no joke. We had a great view also. The problem was the food. Although it was not to bad, it was one of the worst Embassy Suites food experience I have had, given that they are usually great in terms of food. But the veggies in the omelets were not packed in, so it was impossible to eat it. Overall though, it was GREAT

had a couple misshaps (reasonable) , but the Manager (David) made it right in a major way. They stood by their promise to make it right (they have that slogan on the room key) .. You could imagine that with a lot of people from all walks of life what they have to deal with for issues that may arise. We experienced something that may be common in any hotel. We talked to David the manager, and he not only made it right, I was convinced that he was authentic in his concern and he handled the situation in a most amazing way. We are completely satisfied with the service from the Embassy Suites staff.. And will touch base with David next month when we come back to downtown San Diego. Recommend.

Pretty good, but I've stayed in better Embassy Suites. Nice view but noise has been an issue. Water pressure too low. Had to switch the AC to fan only at night because it switched on and off every 15-30 seconds all night long the first night.

Check-in was really crowded and moved slow as there were only two people at the front desk checking people in. When we got to the room the tub faucet dripped. There are Go Green signs all over the room yet our faucet drips. How much water is being wasted there? That night for dinner we decided to try their restaurant. We walked in, got a table fairly fast, ordered our drinks just a few minutes after sitting down; it didn't seem to be that busy. However, they left our beers on the bar and my friend, after trying to wave down the waiter, went and picked up our drinks and brought them to the table. We decided not to eat there, finished our drinks, paid our bill and left. The bed was comfortable.

Paying $400 a night, not getting your room turned down even though there was no do not disturb sign up is not acceptable. I worked all day and I just wanted a nice hot clean shower. I love Hilton. Pick a different property. Avoid during big events.

San Diego is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy time away. The Embassy Suites is one of my favorite hotels and this one is no exception. Great staff, friendly atmosphere and close to beautiful sites.

This is not up to the standards of any embassy suites nor Hilton property I ve been to.
Upon arrival, the card system was down so they could not make cards for us to get into our room.
They escorted us to our room and told us they d bring us keys once the system was restored.

The room itself is awful. The lamps and alarm clock were unplugged. I found that the alarm clock can t even be plugged in because the power adapter for it won t fit in the area for the outlet.
The outlets themselves are surrounded by cracked wall.
The bathroom has a broken door handle, and a broken drawer facade that hides the ac unit resulting in it rattling as it s barely shoved in place.
There is a remote for the front curtains but that doesn t work. It just spins when you press it

Lastly, it states it has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. NONE of these are in this room.

This is an absolute rip off for over 200 a night. I intentionally had chosen this hotel because I love embassy suites and their quality. This one has absolutely no quality or care.

Overlooks the most amazing view of the ocean with the USS midway museum right in view. Good staff, at least accommodating enough to help us out. Well kept rooms. I liked the center court a lot.
They serve free drinks and snacks each evening. I recommend taking advantage of that.
Not the cheapest though probably because of the location.
Major con: You must valet park and that costs extra $48ish.

I had a great experience staying in your hotel a week ago. Your place was so nice and relaxing. I love the ambiance because it was so peaceful. I thanked your staves for treating me nicely during my stay in your place. You are the best among the rest, guys! I should strongly recommend you to everyone here in our region!

Our stay at the Embassy Suites was just great. We were able to walk to Petco Park, Seaport Village, and the Midway. Hotel has been refurbished lately and things look more fresh then our visit three years ago. Breakfast was great and who doesn't love the free Happy Hour drinks. Perfect hotel for walking to many sites.

**UPDATE**

**UPDATE**

Brian the front office manager reached out to me directly & apologized for the entire situation. He did inform me that there was DEFINITELY miscommunication & overstepping of position boundaries that took place. He advised that the information related was definitely INCORRECT & that this should have NEVER happened the way it did.

In general the hotel was nice & the rest of the staff that we came in contact with after our first night was great.

A little DISAPPOINTED actually VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I (my husband & children) barely checked-in today @ 8:17p to be exact. We literally came dropped off our luggage and within 15 minutes left again to go find something to eat. When we returned about an hour and a half later around 9:50p/10p the valet attendant/security help was standing near our room. When we went to enter our room he stopped to let us know that there were several complaints about us & hotel Management was thinking of kicking us out. Now keep in mind we just checked-in @ 8:17p dropped our luggage off & then left again & just barely got back. I immediately got very upset & told the agent I would like to go downstairs myself & make a complaint & speak to the night manager in on duty. The agent Victor said no problem he would go downstairs with me & vouch we haven't even been in our room because he was the valet attendant who assisted us when we arrived & can vouch we weren't here long. Now get you when we were exiting the elevator he said to me: "let me go talk to the girl in the back & explain the story & then you can speak to her." So when we got to the front desk he went to the back. The front desk agent Sheila asked me what could she help me with. I then again explained the situation and advised I wanted to make a complaint myself. She looked at the computer & said the same thing "I just checked you in not to looking ago" I don't understand how you could have g gotten any complaints you haven't been here long. Then she said "let me go check" and she too walked to the back. Both Sheila & Victor came out & said there must have been a misinformation & that all he could do was apologize. He said security said they came to my room & spoke with us several times to let us know of the complaints which is FALSE!!!! We NEVER seen security only when we left to go get food. The Supervisor/manager NEVER came out to speak to me like Victor said she would & all he said was "shrugging his shoulders" "sorry you have a good rest of the night" how unprofessional that the Supervisor/manager didn't come from the back to speak to me & at least apologize herself for the false accusations & threatening to kick its out & we haven't physically even been at the hotel for a full hour. I work at a HILTON Property & this was a very BAD 1st impression & experience especially this being my first visit at this specific hotel & the manager couldn't even come from the back to speak to me. All in all this was poor hospitality Customer service!!!! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

After staying at two other Embassy Suites in the past I felt the location would have the same upscale facilities and service that I enjoyed. Now the room itself was decent in that it had a living room and a separate bedroom which is what I expected. What I did not expect was added fees and an unwanted valet service because they had no self parking provisions. That itself was something. Embassy should've warned me when I made the request. The rep for the Chain never mentioned the parking and added fees...but when I arrived it was explained that the San Diego Hotel shows this on their website and that I should of been aware. Based on price, added fees, and the lack of self parking I will go to another hotel on future trips...

Pretty nice room. Nice pool area for adults and jacuzzi. Staff are friendly they greet you by your name. Love the coffee machine so nice. Nice location stores are just mins away. Plus there is a movie theater near by I think like 11 mins from hotel. There are two pools one for adults 18+ and a family pool.

Very generous cocktail hour, great staff but understaffed at front desk and bell positions. Also, low grade cable and no NCAA tournament on your cable package which cost you a star. Also undisclosed (on internet) construction on gym and pool.

Horrible experience. Water and electricity would go out sporadically throughout the day. The construction going on is so loud. Do not believe "minimal" interruptions. They will interrupt you and they will tell you they cant do anything about it. Yes I tried complaining but that's all their response will be.

Excellent location with great views of the bay, a very nice, clean, pleasant experience. I like Smarty Sites in general, and this one is well above average. Walk to the convention center, Horton Plaza, Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, Seaport village and midway museum, so very much to do!

Great location. This hotel was exactly what I expected from this Hilton brand. Every request I had was met. The rooms were clean and roomy. There are plenty of restaurants nearby walking distance. You are next to the down town boardwalk.

The staff here are very nice. Last year during our stay, they were able to give our group rooms next to each other during the busiest time of the year, Sam Diego Comic Con. The location is close to the convention center, a nice 10 minute walk. Breakfast is delicious, I like the eggs, bacon, and sausage. The rooms are spacious with a small living area for TV and desk for laptop. the empty fridge is also convenient.

We go to San Diego every year for vacation and for the past four years we have come here. I seems like Embassy has gone down quite a bit. The rooms are small for our family. Bathrooms are pretty spacious but our toilet seat was loose. The beds SUCK. They hurt your back and the pillows are super soft and hurt your neck. Free breakfast is nice and I like the omelet line. Pool was awful! The hot tub stunk so bad but I needed some relaxation. The pool is so loud with kids bouncing around everywhere. The hot tub ended up making me sick and the pool did not help and I ended up getting pink eye near the end of my vacation and I can trace that back to the hotel pool. Valet is almost as bad as the pool and they charge you 40 bucks a night for us. It makes me wish for a parking lot. The location though just may make up for the valet parking. I love being close to Little Italy, downtown, gas lamp, and Coronado. I think next year we will not be at Embassy.
