Spacious, clean rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Awesome location. Walking distance to the expo center. View of USS Midway and the bay out my window. Staff were great. Breakfast was excellent. Only complaint was that bathroom sink fixtures were getting tired and should be replaced. Didn't effect my stay though.

This location of Embassy Suites met and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. This location was very close to the Bay in many restaurants as well.

I hope this review helps someone on the fence before they book.
* this hotel needs a major renovation. It s dark, old and VERY dirty
* the beds are terrible and the linens are stiff, thin and dirty/stained
* the breakfast lines are long and the food itself is not good. Think cafeteria food and it s worse than that
* Happy hour at 10pm is crazy and made it so loud we could not sleep until it ended at midnight!!
* there is major construction across the street that is not noted when I made my reservation. So at 8am each morning we woke up to very loud construction work
* there was blood all over the downstairs floor in the lobby area. It looked like it had been there a while and no one had cleaned it up!
* many homeless camps around the perimeter of hotel. Unsafe
* no hotel shuttle!
* overall this is a filthy place we will not be staying at again.

Family vacation nightmare. Avoid this Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel if possible.

I booked and prepaid a 2 bed suite, Bayfront room for 3 adults and 2 kids. However, when my family arrived in the evening, the front desk told me there is no such room left and put us 5 people in a smaller room in the midnight, with only 1 bed (knowing they are violating their own policy in exceeding max ppl per room). After we moved in, they cannot find extra blanket to accommodate the extra people.

In addition to the breach of contract in this case, the hotel failed to contact with me during the day time so my family can have a chance to change the schedule and book another hotel. It is almost midnight when I get there and found out there is overbooking issue which leave us no choice.

Terrible and unsafe experience during the family vacation due to the Hilton hotel's poor communication and management.

Very unhappy with parking, $50 a night, valet only,no other option, more expensive than the Grand Wailea in maui. I have a child with dissability no discount provided. Dont use this hotel, not worth it.

Very bad service first we book a room for one day and they end up saying they booked it for the next day. So they fix the room date and then they have the nerve to tell us that this day we have the room does not permit promotions (over the phone), and if you cancel a reservation theirs a $60 cancelation fee. Then we get to the hotel and tell us that they only permit valet parking that costs $45 and no self parking. They didnt tell us that over the phone and then we get to our room and the toliet has a huge crack in it. The only good thing was probably the breakfeast. Very disappointed the other Embassy Suites I've been too do not have this many problems and breaks in notification policy.

Great value and location!! Leave your car at home! One of the closest hotels to USS Midway and Seaport Village. Only a few minutes walk or take a pedicab. Uber to Sandiego Zoo, airport and Gaslamp Quarter less than $8. Our room was clean and spacious with a balcony. Also breakfast with omelet station and happy hour with snacks ,wine and beer.

Close to the harbor. Beautiful place. Best part was the Dunkin donuts downstairs!

Downside: no parking :( street parking is impossible. You might get lucky and park near cheesecake factory and pay a few quarters for parking. My friend usually drops me off in front of DD then I walk around the corner where he parks on the street.

The embassy suites is a nice hotel, conveniently located across the street from seaport village. Where you have a cheesecake factory, the Harbor House seafood restaurant and lots of shops to delight your shopping experience. It is only 3 blocks from the Gaslamp District. This embassy suites is unique in the fact that it has a actual restaurant on site. It still has the traditional breakfast buffet and evening social hour. The staff is very friendly and efficient, from the bellman at the door, to the concierge in the lobby. You can get rooms with either a Bayview or view of downtown San Diego. Which ever is your pleasure, you will enjoy the embassy suites and not be sorry that you stopped there. There only drawback, that I could find, parking is $55 a night for non Hilton honors and $45 a night for Hilton honors members. Just be prepared to pay an extra $45 to $55 on your nightly bill.

Traveled to San Diego with a group and had a very comfortable and memorable experiences here. It's close to many restaurants and tourist attractions. Pretty much anything is walking distance.

Nice, clean rooms with lots of mirrors & sinks--great for several people getting ready in the mornings! The pool and hot tub is open until 11pm, the concierge was helpful, and the location in Seaport Village was ideal for a vacation trip! Right by the Coronado ferry, the USS Midway, and not far from the airport and Balboa Park! My only complaint is that breakfast was a total zoo every morning, they shut it down sometimes before the "end of breakfast" time listed, and a couple mornings ran out of some continental items like fruit and bagels.

Outstanding breakfast and really helpful staff make this hotel stand out. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Electrical outlets could have been a little more conveniently placed, but that's a quibble.

My favorite hotel in San Diego, CA. The ambiance and vibe was friendly, polished, yet off-beat and original. The staff members were always on point and friendly. It was genuine customer service, not forced customer service. I love this place and it was truly a wonderful place to relax and hangout in after a long day. Definitely coming back and hats off to the Hotel Carlton.

ALL good if it wasn't for the COCKROACH in my room!!! They DID give a new room; an upgrade: it had a balcony. But I would have appreciated an apology!!

Being an honours member, a bit disappointed.

The location is great. Right downtown and very close the the water and gaslamp district. Really liked the open design. Downsides are pool is inside and small, required $46 per night valet parking if you have a car, and no free WiFi.

Very nice and friendly staff all around the Hotel! I've stayed at the hotel twice already. I observed that the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very nice and clean. Their staff was also very professional and friendly. What a nice place to relax, guys! You must be known by other people, guys! Your Hotel was strongly recommended!

This is a great hotel. We are traveling with 4 young kids so the free breakfast and social hour/snacks are great since we were trying to save money on food. I only have two complaints. 1) the air conditioner domes on and shuts off immediately 3 or 4 times before staying on and it is loud. 2) The parking fee is ridiculous. $50 a day to park is asinine.

I was just there for a corporate event and everything was wonderful. The staff was on top of everything. The room was set up exactly how I asked which made the course that I was teaching run smoothly. Our guests enjoyed the Artisan lunch buffet so much that I received complements on the food all day! David Swank helped coordinate the event, he was easy to communicate with and very attentive. The hotel is located right on the bay which made for an awesome view and was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Overall my trip was wonderful and I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

I had mold in my HVAC intake in room 1228 .It was bad .had to sleep with slider open hearing train all night .They couldn't move me .They did the next day and comped our night. Then move us to Bayview room much better now . Always check the intake and remove filter to see what's behind it .This could get people really sick .They need to maintain their HVAC systems better .That's all.

We stayed for one night as a family for an event at the convention center. Location was awesome and it was an easy walk to the gas lamp quarter. Room was clean and staff were super responsive when we asked for additional blankets and tea bags. Valet staff were friendly and courteous. Would stay there again.

This hotel has been worked over... I get it, it's constantly busy but our room was hammered.... Door handles broken one trash can and the AC was on low for 4 days and it never got below 74 degrees.. Usually ES is top notch but this place is hammered.

Excellent location, you can go for a walk to the bay. The weather at this time is perfect for outdoor activities and the hotel offers comfortable facilities and good service. The breakfast is so good.

Nice spacious atrium hotel, service is top notch, family friendly and honestly a much better choice over the neighbouring megahotels, deciding whether or not to come back to this one is a no-brainer.
