After staying at the Embassy Suites downtown San Diego we realize what an amazing facility and location it is. The service was fantastic and the staff was extremely kind and assist us with all of our needs. The made to Order breakfast was simply outstanding and the room service was always taken care of in a timely professional and clean manner. I highly recommend the hotel for its amazing location staff meals and happy hour vibe.

Great service at the front desk (Adriana). Great view! Just a little bit old, but good effort to keep it with cuality. Personally I hate rugs so it could be perfect without rug floors. Nice location. Expensive .

Great place to stay. Large rooms and for the most part good customer service. The only bad thing was the hotel knew 200 guests were checking in and with a late 4pm checkin they were not prepared. They did try there best with the staff the had though.

BED BUGS ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first hotel I saw beg bugs. Yes, It wasn't just one bed bug. I saw 4 that night.
My husband and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon last week and i woke up in the middle of night because my body was itchy. I didn't think it could be a bed bug because I never thought hotel like this would ever have bugs. I turned out i was wrong. I saw one bed bug on my side and i freaked out and went to the front desk. It was midnight. The guy at the front desk didn't seem too surprised or sorry saying that there was no room available and there is nothing they can do. He told me to go ahead and try to sleep on a couch or something. So i went back to my room thinking it might be just one, but i was wrong again. I saw FOUR MORE BED BUGS and my husband went down there and he finally transferred us to another hotel near there. It was 2am when we finally went to bed. That was our first honeymoon night at Embassy Suites.
I checked my body and i had 10 bug bites - my hand, arms, legs and butt. The itchiness lasted for 3 days (entire honeymoon) and the spots were swollen as well. How lucky to have bug bites all over my body when I came to San Diego from Texas to wear bikinis and lie down on the beach.
At the end, we did NOT have a pleasant time on our honeymoon and I kept waking up middle of the night for few days.
Guys. if you are staying at this hotel check the mattress before you go to sleep.

Slow in breakfast service, little washing machine and dryer, insufficient elevator, is not the height of 4 star, but have enough attention capacity do not receive more guests, it feels bad treated as animals belong same Marriott group but it is different from their other chain like hotel suites springhill, I suggest you come in low season so do not expect 20 minutes of row for a breakfast plate

The room was elegant with a wonderful view of the harbor. When we checked in they had us registered for a suite with two queen beds but quickly and easily upgraded us to a suite with a king with no problem. Very helpful people with delicious breakfast with many options.

I love staying at the embassy suites. They have a manger's reception with free drinks. In the morning there is a full breakfast buffet. The rooms are spacious and they have a indoor pool.

My reservation was made 2 months in advance. Called a week ahead to confirm. Arrived and there was no room available for us! Traveled a long way for a special anniversary and were turned away. Shame!

Suites are spacious and well-appointed. Fitness room clean and features current-day treadmills, elliptical, recumbent exercise bike, free weights and a couple of benches. The hotel serves a daily full breakfast, including made-to-order eggs, all so very tasty! Valet service is timely and quick...never a problem calling down for the vehicle and having it waiting by the time we came down.

The location was phenomenal for the beach and I had a view of the water. The staff was polite and helpful and the food was great. Obviously, unless you valet, parking will be tricky. Prepare to walk :)

Room was not ready when we tried to check in at 3:15 PM. Valet parking of $50 is NOT optional as stated on website. First day we were there we did not get any maid service. Second day, it wasn't complete when we got back to the room, after spending the day at Sea World. The pool had things floating in it and was in a severe need to be cleaned.

The hotel does have an excellent breakfast and evening snacks. The location is unbelievable.

Another beautiful, comfortable room, and exceptional staff at this Hilton property. So close to Seaport Village and downtown Gaslamp District! The two men in kitchen were the nicest and friendliest every morning Thank you guys for the fun!

The rooms are decent and the breakfast is average, so overall our stay was pleasant, but the valet is the WORST I have ever experienced, and there is no self-parking. The $46/day mandatory fee means that the valet employees don't have to earn their tips. They are incredibly slow and unresponsive. Twice, our car was ready to go and they didn't let us know although we were standing right out front. Once, we tipped extra to keep the car there while we ran back to the room really quick, and by the time we returned, our car was gone back in the lot, costing us extra time when we were in a hurry. Very long waits even when we were the only ones in line. Terrible service! I would not stay at this hotel again simply because of the awful valet.

Room was WAY overpriced and run down. The 'leather' couch was so worn it looked like it needed to be set out for trash pickup. The beds were decent, but the air conditioning blower was so loud that every time it kicked on I woke us up. Trash was left in the room from the prior visitor, so I can't be super confident about what else was actually cleaned. The valet drove my van into a wall, and while the parking company did everything to make it right the hotel staff only said they didn't like the company. When I mentioned the problems to the hotel staff there was no 'I am sorry', just an excuse that it is an older hotel. Ok so why did you charge me for a Hilton when the Hotel 8 probably would have been nicer... no offer to comp or at least drop our rate to the group rate we should have gotten. Pick a different hotel when you go to San Diego.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and I feel that the location is much better than the other location. After arriving at the hotel, I also added money to the room where I could see the opera. The facilities are very new, and there is a step in the surrounding area of the rocky area. It is not far from the place to go shopping. I will only choose this one next time!

Great location and priced well for the area. The hotel shows a little age but is very well maintained. The parking was expensive ($45/ day... but free breakfast and happy hour helps off set this added cost. I would return.

We got a deal through a 3rd party site for this hotel. Love their rooms where each room has a bedroom and living room area. Also, free breakfast is a huge plus. Omelets made to order along with a huge selection of other breakfast options!

I think the hotel was amazing. All rooms are suites. They have like a living/dining room with a tv and dinner table. They have a small fridge and a microwave. The room has a door between it and the bedroom. The bedroom has like its own sink inside, I don't know how to explain it, like why it's there. But the room is nice and spacious. They offer complimentary drinks every night between 530pm and 730pm. Breakfast is I think 630 to 1030. Hotel is nice. It's right downtown pretty much just north of seaport. Not even a 10 min walk to the Midway. Definitely worth staying in. Only downside is $50 valet parking only.

The hotel is undergoing some construction currently so not what I expected it to be. The morning breakfast area is a joke currently because of the construction. Room service is slow and you have to call couple of times to remind them for items you requested.

I really enjoyed my stay. Only reason not a 5 is because of some renovations happening through the hotel. Free breakfast and complimentary happy hour evening reception. The breakfast was was awesome, not like basic free hotel breakfast. The rooms are great and beds are very comfortable. The TV's cable channel service could use an upgrade to satellite or something with quicker operation. The indoor pool was the main reason I chose this hotel and it didn't disappoint.

Back again for the 3rd convention in about 7 years, and it's clear not much has improved or been renovated here, but still great location to hoof it to convention center. Breakfast and manager reception pretty good.

Excellent property within walking distance to a number of restaurants and attractions. Our room had a view of the bar and a balcony. Being San Diego, the weather was nice and we enjoyed having the door to the balcony open and the fresh air/view. The made to order breakfast was excellent.

Amazing location, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Only four stars because the water pressure sucked and I hated our handicapped room shower. Couldn t keep from getting water everywhere. There is no little essentials store in the hotel either so bring your own snacks and water.

Excellent service from the moment of arrival up to the moment of departure. They truly are about their customer service & go above & beyond to accommodate just about any requests. The room was spacious with pleanty of room & everything a person would need on a daily basis. The view was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of both downtown as well as SD Bay area. Personally, the hotels location couldn't have been better. Definitely have found my "go to" hotel for any future San Diego trips.
