Service was really slow when we went and it wasn't that busy. The salsa and guac had no flavor. We get it, they are in a touristy area and need to cater to palates from all over but at least throw an onion in there or something. Our dinners were ok. No one was very impressed with their meals. Definitely didn't feel the need to go back this trip even though we could walk from our hotel.
Today was my first visit with my coworker and I was impressed! Great food, friendly happy staff and affordable prices. I was so full when I left!! The lunch buffet has sooo much variety plus dessert. You must try this restaurant and I will certainly be back again soon!
What a gem! If you happen to be in Orlando and looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further! The portions are HUGE and food is delicious.
Came in with a party of 10. Was quickly seated and served. I got the beef enchiladas and it was delicious. Our waiter was quick and nice.
We were in Orlando for just 1 night and got a recommendation from the Front Desk Agent to go to El Patron. It was outstanding. Our waitress, Caro, gave wonderful service. We had the Carne Asada, Fajitas and more. The food was delicious and generous portions. You won't be disappointed if you go to El Patron.
My girlfriend and I loved it went there twice during our stay.

Everything was near perfect except for the quesadillas were a little soggy. They took them back and removed it from the bill no questions asked. My fajitas were great. Awesome happy hour specials as well. Will return when were in the area. The wait staff talked to us and treated us like regulars, thanks El Patron!
Awful. Server acknowledged us with in minutes, but it went downhill quickly. Took awhile for water. When the water arrived, we tried to order drinks but she said she would be back in a few minutes.
By the time she came back (long wait) we placed our food and drink order at the same time.
5 minutes later drinks and food arrived at the same time. What? How did they freshly cook our dinners that quickly? (Never mind that I have never had my cocktails and dinner arrive at the same time!)
Food was barely warm. We needed more water, which we did mention when the food arrived.
Server never returned until 25 minutes later. We asked for water and the check.
If you want mediocre food and bad service, this is your place.
Chile Rellano is excellent! Guacamole is quite good. Bar prices are very inexpensive. Mexican will never be confused for haute` cuisine but this is a great family restaurant and very worthwhile.

We will definitely be back! This was a pretty cool place with an awesome atmosphere. The service was great and the food was delicious! Our two young daughter's enjoyed it as well. My husband and I both ordered the Mix 'n Match. I'm only giving this 4 stars because one of my tacos (it was a skirt steak one and I'm kicking myself for not remembering the name) was rather tough and dry. Everything else was fabulous! The Carnitas was delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Great friendly server. I got a mango sangria, not very strong but still yummy. Didn t know there was a buffet going on till the server informed me. I got the buffet and I m so happy I did. Leaving satisfied and wanting to visit again.
Best Mexican food I've had in a while. Lost a star when we ordered online and the food came in a container that basically broke in half due to the weight of the food. Hopefully it will be rectified. We will order again in the future and will let folks know if the food containers get stronger.

10 Stars! I have been to many Mexican restaurants, but nothing like this. It's buffet, small, economic, and a little romantic. Now let's talk food! It's is intensely amazing!!! You will see pozole, orchata, flautas, plantains, tamales, and all you can eat for about 10 dollars lunch. You can't miss this!! After all the restaurants I have visited everywhere, I would rank this one as number one in every aspect.
The lunch buffet is a great value for high quality and delicious food. Homemade corn and flour tortillas and incredible fajita meat is all included in the price. My favorite things were the flautas and their arroz amarillo.
This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. It s not mexican it s like a Tex-Mex thing but weird the chips weren t even chips the salsa was horrible, my wife and I ordered chicken fajitas it was just a chicken breast cut up with no taste the rice and beans were like microwave food and the salad was old and dark. We were both hungry and we couldn t finish the food because of how bad it was we have been going to different mexican restaurants for years. I never write negative reviews but the food was so bad I had to.

I orlando there are a lot of tourists like resturants that don't have good food. However, this place hit the spot and is definitely a must go to. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and modern with a some culture. Our server was very helpful and the staff did well with working together in regards to picking up dirty dishes on the table and bringing food and drinks to the table. The food was outstanding from the soup, appetizers, and entrees. The prices are not bad either.

Was very disappointed with the food here. We were served microwave chicken quesadillas that tasted raw and old. Also, service was sub par. Not from the area and was very unsatisfied, only ate our food because we were starving from a long trip. Do not recommend getting the torta milanesa, chicken quesadilla or flautas.
I was in Orlando last week for work and stumbled on this place for lunch. They had a lunch buffet that had everything I wanted, and so much more, for a really great price. You could build your own tacos or fajitas with a variety of meats, there were tamales and flautas, and some sort of amazing Mexican ribs. Everything was great quality, and the staff was attentive and kind even though it was busy. I'll be dreaming about this place for a while.
Cute restaurant, friendly almost over attentive waitress. Food very average. Would not be my go to mexican restaurant, if I could find a better one in Orlando. Appeals to the masses and tourists, I should imagen. Maybe the tacos should have been ordered. Had the fajitas good quantity of meat. Would have appreciated more authentic tortillas and chips. Give it try if there is no better option or place.

Excellent service that's friendly and knowledgeable. Been here several times and enjoyed every meal. You can try a variety of tacos as a combo, and the enchiladas with mole are amazing. All reasonably priced for high quality food and service. Also a solid drink menu with a variety of margaritas.
Our party of six were seated immediately for what turned out to be one of best eating experiences near Disney. The best part being we happened upon this place by accident. My husband and I shared a nacho platter. Have to say it is probably the best one we wver have had. Everything on it was freshly made. It was perfect. The staff was also very friendly and efficient. Definitely our go to place when visiting Disney area!
The food was great service was terrible they brought our food and we didnt see them again till we had to ask for boxes and the check. No refills on our drinks nothing we will not return again to have those prices with that lack of service

Really shocked at the final bill. As an example, they charged us $15 for 3 ground beef only soft tacos. Total bill was $77 for two adults and two kids (wife and I split fajitas).

We tried it Tonight for the first time.. We come to Orlando often .. I would Definitely return .. The servers are Nice and the Fajitas here are delicious and full portion.. Unfortunately the kids tenders are not really too good but they switched them for Hamburger and Mac and cheese.. both the kids were happy with them.. We did encounter a problem with the kithen Management when 2 people in our party didn't get our dinners till the others were thru there's.. one lady told us the dinners would be removed from the Bill and the other manager gave us free desserts... so in the end I got the free dessert but paid for the complete amount of the Bill.. If the food was bad I would have fought for it but honestly our Fajitas were so good and businesses are just recovering from Covid.. i paid the bill without complaining.. honestly i really liked the food and look forward to ordering the same Dinner again and giving them another chance..

I am Mrcican-American visiting from Denver Co, and all I can say is that this is the worse mexican food restaurant I've ever been to. They serve little portions for an expensive price, a single taco can cost you up to 5 dollars, the service is horrible and I cant say anything good about the food. 01/06/15

Our family was very happy with everything about our experience at El Patron. Our waitress Carolina was excellent and was on top of all our needs and very helpful with describing food options.
This restaurant was the best, we were served by Guillermo at lunch time. The buffet food was excellent. Parking is free, has a bar available, and different desserts. They have shrimp, meat, chicken, tortillas, and a variety of Mexican food.

First I had the Cadillac Margarita... NICE! Then I had three different tacos. All were great, but the roast pork was exceptional! Nothing but good things to say! And our server Hector was great!
