A place of romance adventure and emotions. What a piece of beauty Eiffel towers is. It was erected in 1889 but it was maintained so good that it still looks like it was erected some 5 years ago. It has everything from restaurants to cafes and ice skating ring at 1st floor. The view of paris city from above is something one would always remember in heir life. I wish I could live in paris and visit Eiffel towers as frequently as possible.

Inarguably one of the greatest man-made structures in the entire world and one that is synonymous with the City of Light that is Paris. As soon as the Tower enters your field of vision even while you're travelling towards it from so many blocks away, it floods the viewer with an awe-struck feeling that is truly unmatchable. This feeling is elevated to a heightened state of euphoria when you see the magnificence of this marvel in all its glory when it has been lit up
Was not able to go on because of repairs.(understandable but why not find another route, not my field of expertise so i do not know.)but the tower looked great.
Must visit. I will also recommend to go to the top. You get a beautiful view of the whole city. Try to buy tickets online before your visit or else the queue might be 2 hours long on a busy sunny day
Amazing Experience. it was thrilling and exciting at the same time. Top floor view was the most awaited moment of europe tour.Everyone should go and watch this manmade beauty. This will make your day and night for sure
The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Its my dream place to watch. The night view of Eiffel tower is very awesome.
Definitely a must visit place! Great panorama view of the whole city, I would advise you to purchase a ticket with access to the top and if possible, go during sunset - you will not be disappointed! Staff was friendly, it was overcrowded but what do you expect in a place like this:). The entry was affordable for what you get.
A site to be seen, if you plan on climbing the tower its best to book online 24 to 48 hours prior due to time slots filling quick the views are worth the wait i took the stairs which i can still feel so schedule an elevator.. The restaurant is ok
Number one destination in Paris of course. Such a marvel, wonderful place to spend any evening. As expected, always crowded place. Sometimes the wait to climb can be even 3 h. Can always have a chilled beer, sit and chilled. Be careful with the vendors though.
You will forget all your problems once you see this amazing beauty. BUT
There is less security around the tower and more pickpockets and other people roaming around you all the time. Was surprised when I experienced it by myself, so make sure you read the safety tips on Internet, travel with your group and guide all the time, DO NOT sign anything which the girls will ask you to. And most important, always stay vigilant.
We were very lucky because we had a great, sunny day in January when we visited the Eiffel Tower so we could take nice pictures from the tower. Until end of January the third level of the tower was closed. That is why we payed less for the entrance fee. But the view was breathtaking from the second level as well. The queue was not too long so in an hour we were on the second level. There is a quit cheap souvenir shop over there.
It's worth visiting the Eiffel Tower and the surrounding area! Perfect for families, couples or singles. One should visit it during the day and also during the night as it looks different!
A place I will always live to remember. Amazingly wounderful tower with excellent view. Don't wait to be told if you really have the opportunity to visit this place. your visit will really Worth it
The tower was stunning at night! We had to wait in several lines (both ascending and descending 2 elevators - 4 total lines to wait), so give yourself plenty of time to be patient
At the summit and 2nd levels, there were shops/Cafe's. And on the way DOWN we were asked if we wanted to go to the 1st floor for a brief film and views with glass barriers. We declined, but didn't even know that was an option - so, now you do!
There were also lots of street vendors around offering souvenirs, etc. And signs to beware of pickpockets.
Unique and unforgettable place. It wasn't my dream to see it but after I saw it I'm totally in love with it! Even the crowd and the chaos can't ruin the moment. I suggest you to go little bit before sundown and stay until dark. It's magic! And if it's Sunday evening you will see a lot of brides too.
A glass fence is now enclosing the tower and must queue for some time just to enter into the gardens. Its still free walking around the gardens inside the fenced zone and the fees apply only to go to the tower elevator..if planning a visit its a lot better booking the entrance ticket online. Once inside enjoy the views! We visited in April @9pm and it is relatively crowded.. had to queue for 40min for the ticket and another 10 to go up.. so best tip is planning some good time for visiting!
Went to Europe with my family last month. We were eight people including children. Wonderful road trip from Belgium to France and then to the Netherlands. It was a little tiring but totally worth it... Personally, I was not very interested in seeing the Eiffel Tower.. but when I did, OH MY GOD!! I am glad I did. I never expected it to be so beautiful.. and the lights.. awesome!! we went at dusk and stayed until it was closing. Had a great experience.. Bought a bumch of souvenirs for family and friends.
Beautiful monument! About 21 Euros to go to the top. If you are under 25 years you pay less. Very long lines. It s beautiful to see at night but bring a nice warm jacket if you go during cold season.
Great place and must go. Good to walk around. Upset with the security staff. The way they treat tourists. And behaviour. It seems they do not know anything outside the country how to treat people are various countries they visit all the way. Spend lot of $ to get admission and spend time. It seem they need a training and management do not bother. I would recommend to stay there at 7pm, 8pm or 9pm to watch lighting. I would also recommend to get on France tourist dinner cruise for 41 . Recommended.
This is the place where everyone wants to visit when they go to Paris. The Eiffel Tower !!! The Eiffel Tower is to Paris what the Statue of Liberty is to New York and what Big Ben is to London: the ultimate civic emblem. French engineer Gustave Eiffel made this in 1889.
My tour guide have told me that its potential use as a radio antenna saved the day; and it still bristles with a forest of radio and television transmitters.
Gradually, though, the Tour Eiffel became part of the city's topography, entering the hearts and souls of residents and visitors alike. Today it is most breathtaking at night, when every girder is highlighted in a sparkling display originally conceived to celebrate the turn of the millennium. The glittering light show was so popular that the 20,000 lights were reinstalled for permanent use in 2003. The tower does its electric dance for five minutes every hour on the hour until 1 am.
You can stride up 704 steps as far as the second level, but if you want to go to the top you'll have to take the elevator. (Be sure to look closely at the fantastic ironwork.) Although the view of the flat sweep of Paris at 1,000 feet may not beat the one from the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper, the setting makes it considerably more romantic especially if you come in the late evening, after the crowds have dispersed. Beat the crushing lines by reserving your ticket online; you can also book a skip-the-line guided tour from one of many local companies.
You cannot be in Paris without visiting Eiffel Tower. In the heart of Paris surrounded with many restaurants and bars, car parks, and many souvenirs shops. You can make a tour around the tower to take some photos, and if you buy a ticket you can enter and go to the top of the tower by the elevator, and its better if you brought your ticket online to avoid standing on the line for long time. The traffic is terrible there but it deserve it.
Beautiful place, impressive in the night when the lights are on. You should take the lift up, it was even more beautiful from up there. Buy tickets 2-3 months before, if not, the queue will be so long that it will be not worth it.
Great place very obligatory stop in Paris, something yo need to know is a security control to go inside de area of the tower no the tower just the surrounding for go inside the tower you need to pay
A Remarkable Monument. Must visit for all ages. Breathtaking view of Paris city from top level . Don't miss to see this glittering magnificent view at night
A must see in Paris and what a great view! However, the queues were ridiculous. We booked a ticket (online) for 1pm on a Tuesday and stood in the queue over an hour in hot sun! If you want to buy a ticket on the day, expect to queue for at least 2 hours.
Everyone has dreamt of visiting Eiffel tower at least once in their life. I was fortunate enough to see this monument up close and personal in December 2019. We didn't go on top floor due to time constraint but that's okay. The visit was totally worth it. Eiffel is one of the most visited monuments in the world and is one of the seven wonders. This place is a totally worthy of visiting no matter how many people call it Overrated. We reached there just few minutes before the lights were turned on. The evening light looks exquisite and the sparkling of the tower every one hour is quite amazing.
I came here for my wedding anniversary with my husband and had a ball. It was very high up and there were many stairs to climb. The queues were so long but it was worth the wait for the experience. The view was fantastic and we were lucky to have such nice weather. The tower also lite up at night which was so nice to see. We actually left before it started but saw it near by which was still amazing. I really can't remember the cost only that I didn't want to climb it but was so glad I did it in the end. I also thought I was at the very top a few only to realise that there was more levels. There is a shop up there and from what I can remember a restaurant too. Along with restroom, which were clean and tidy.
Amazing experience. love in the air. Enjoy and stay for sometime thn eat and drink something in nearby beautiful restaurant. Be safe at night .Dnt go all alone.
A memory that cannot be forgotten in Paris. It symbolizes romance, freedom and history of France. No matter day or night, the Effiel and surrounding park are amazing. I love the vibe of the city, enjoy by walking and admiring the beauty of the towel. It would be so nice to be there on Summer. Usually there are strong winds and many people garthering.
Bought tickets ahead of time which I would probably recommend as the queues were quiet long and it was a very hot day. There's a champagne bar at the very top and the views were amazing. At night it's lit up too.
It's very impressive it's a must the security team are very careful and I felt secure. Very exciting view all over Paris and coffee shops restaurants and souvenirs shops at the different levels. It was a real beautiful experience.
Once the world s tallest building, a flamboyant feat of 19th-century engineering that became a Parisian icon.
The Eiffel Tower was created as a spectacular entrance for the Paris Exhibition of 1889, held to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution. The tower was designed by employees of the company run by Gustave Eiffel (1832 1923), an engineer who had made a name for himself as a builder of bridges, viaducts, and railway stations. It was selected out of more than 100 competing designs for the exhibition entrance because it was thought to best symbolize a century of scientific and technological progress.
Factory construction. Rising to a height of 984 ft (300 m), the Eiffel Tower stood almost twice as tall as any previous human structure. It was constructed of 18,000 factory- made wrought-iron pieces, brought to the site along the River Seine for assembly and joined together with 2.5 million rivets. Its wrought-iron latticework marked a radical departure from traditional monumental buildings in brick or stone. Parisian aesthetes pretended to hate it, protesting against the useless and monstrous tower that would ruin the hitherto untouched beauty of Paris. However, the public loved it from the start, almost 2 million people flocking to buy tickets to mount the tower during the 6 months of the exhibition.
New purposes. Gustave Eiffel had a 20-year contract to capitalize on the tower commercially, after which it was supposed to be dismantled. However, the placing of a radio transmitter on the top in 1904 gave it a practical use that saved it from destruction. The tower was surpassed as the world s tallest structure by the Chrysler Building (see p.42) in New York in 1930, but its prestige as the symbol of the city of Paris has continued to grow. In the 21st century, it is one of the world s most visited tourist attractions.
Very beautiful! So much cooler than I thought it would be!! It's so massive and the views are incredible! But watch out for people trying to get your money down on the ground. There were women asking for "money for deaf children." When I didn't give them as much as they wanted they turned hostile. There should be people watching out for them and making them leave.
A must see for Paris. If you want to go up, I recommend buying your tickets online well in advance of your trip. If you want to go up to the very top (3rd level) tickets can be hard to come by, as they limit the number of people up there. There is a lot of construction around the base of the tower, so be prepared to do some walking. A lot of street vendors are outside the tower selling souvenirs and wine/champagne. Lots of people picnic along the promenade - bring a blanket if you want!
A fantastic experience for the family. We walked to the 2nd floor and then got the lift to the top. Stunning views and 6 and 3 year old loved it. Great idea to put numbers on the steps to help the parents keep count with the kiddies. Queuing was difficult and unorganised at times leading to unnecessary jostling and elbowing.
What a beautiful landmark to see from down or up; in the morning, noon and especially during sparkling moments at the beginning of every new hour at night.. I really enjoyed it :)
Excellent place to go when visiting Paris, it s not to be missed. Although the queues can be long the prices are actually reasonable and this is the biggest landmark in France so what more can you expect??
The Eiffel Tower was truly an exceptional experience. The views and architecture are amazing. The story behind the structure and the history were inspiring. My entire family really enjoyed the visit. It was quite busy as you might expect, but once on the tower itself the crowds really did not bother us. If you are in Paris and not terrified of heights, you must go!
This is one of one the greatest wonders if the world namely and truly it is. Engineering marvel at the time it was built and still a marvel. Treat to watch it.my lifetime dreams chieved. I travelled to Paris from Germany during my business visit . The week I travelled was the week Paris had experienced heaviest snow in the century and it was shut down. I could not visit to the top but do not miss to visit Eiffel tower in the evening while it lit in light . It was wonderful to watch it.bir hakeim is the metro stop u have to get down from S6 metro line.metri train frequencies are really good. Take a day pass for 15 euro and travel around Paris. Notre dame,Louvre museum.
The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.
The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 Paris Exposition and was not intended to be permanent.
The Eiffel Tower was going to be demolished in 1909, but was saved because it was repurposed as a giant radio antenna.
Address: Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France
The pictures speak for themselves. A must must visit when in Paris. If you wanna climb to the top I suggest going early because the lines get long. Beautiful at night when they do this light show.
It's the most visited place in the world and there is a reason for that : Eiffel tower is amazing. Advice : book your tickets online and you won't have to wait 2hours in line. If you're brave enough you could try to do the Ascension by stairs otherwise you'll have a beautiful view from the elevator. Enjoy your trip !
I visited this iconic place with my girlfriend in May 2019 and it was nice but there were many people bothering us, trying to sell all kinds of things: drinks, souvenirs, hats... It s kind of annoying!
Awesome place. Splendid arch. Must visit place. Try and be here on New Year s Eve if possible. You will have a nice time with the Light and Sound show at the Arch de Triomphe and the well lit Eiffel tow and to top it all the fireworks are simple awesome.
13th Oct 19 this monument was made to seek attention of foreigners in an expo show after which it was allowed to remain for 20 years just to recover the cost. then it ppayed imp role in ww II where it could send radio signals being at such height abd send messages. Even hitler (Germany Axis) couldnt destroy this structure as he was not allowed to visit top floor as its stairs were been destroyed by french people (allied). Nothing amazed me as such as it just a structure no vibes felt. Praise worthy that it managed to stand in all sort of weather.
An icon of Paris, the world-famous Eiffel Tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel and constructed from 1887 to 1889 for the 1889 World s Fair. It originally received harsh criticism from many locals, but has since become one of the most enduring symbols of the city. At 1,063 feet, it s the tallest building in Paris and provides sweeping views of the city from its top-level observation deck, located at 906 feet.
Eiffel Tower Tip:
An average of 25,000 people ascend the tower every day and the lines can be interminable. Skip-the-line tickets (or reservations at one of the Tower s two restaurants) can help you avoid some of the wait for the lift, but if you don t plan on going up in the tower and just want avoid some of the crowds at ground level, plan to visit closer to sundown or on a weekday in winter. The busiest times tend to be the summer months, particularly in July and August.
Can not visit Paris without going to the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing to see the amount of tourist that visited the attraction and not getting in the way of individual unique photo opts. Plan to view during the day and return to admire it's beauty at night.
Fantastic iconic structure... Visited a month or so after Notre dame cathedral fire and was dissappointed that only 1 entrance to the Eiffel Tower was open. As this is now number 1 tourist attraction due to cathedral fire more effort to open more entrances would had been a good idea, crowd too large if time inhibited...
Its a beautiful experience. I went with my girlfriend and it was always her dream to come here. It sits at a jaw-dropping 984 feet high, but taking my girl to her dream place still made me feel like a giant. I hope to one day bring my entire family here so they can experience what I experienced. Much love.
Great place but it is basically an observation deck. So unless you are eating there it can be a quick trip. Some of best pictures were from the ground. So while a must do if in Paris, not the best thing we did
We were dropped in front of this park to walk to the Eiffel tower. It is such a romantic park to go for a walk with love one. There were so many couples walking, laying on the grass, sitting on the grass and sipping wine while enjoying their romantic time. Lots of photo sessions were happening left, right and centre. It was a really romantic spot. It was a nice spot to take picture as it gives a whole coverage of the Eiffel tower in the picture. Must spend a quality time in this park with your love.
Eiffel Tower, The most mesmerising monument i have ever seen! The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level's upper platform is 276 m (906 ft) above the ground the highest observation deck accessible to the public in the European Union. There are 300 steps soo better to take the lift. Ticket with access lift The top 25,50
The view around is also beautiful. The pics should be taken from outside for better Eiffel Tower View. You should not miss out the night shine of the Eiffel Tower. The closest Paris Metro station to the Eiffel Tower is Champ de Mars.
I never actually cared a lot to see the Eiffel Tower, but it exceeded my expectations by a mile. The lines are well worth the wait to go to the top. Amazing views of the entire city. Would give 6 stars if I could.
