The queues have become absolutely horrendous and the site is currently undergoing enhancements so there is a lot of dust and debris, and the entrances are convoluted paths.
Once at one of the floors brace yourself for queues just to get back down.
Having said that, it's still definitely worth a visit. The structure is still amazing and the views of Paris are absolutely breathtaking. It is worth getting a guide to have a bit of history and a tour (although not required). Facilities inside the tower are adequate and we'll kept. There is also the perfunctory gift shop and a couple of eateries.

Beautiful by night, best observed from a far. Went on a Sunday 8am lining up for 9am opening in July. 1 hr lining up to get tickets. Then straight up. 25 euro children 4 to 11 euro. Must have been a good Sunday because by 10 am there was not much of a line for people getting tickets.

Lots of construction going on at the base right now so you can't get underneath it but it is beautiful as always! Lights turn on right after sunset and a little later it sparkles for a brief time but I'm not sure why.

There are two ends to the park that goes through the tower. One feels a little younger with everyone sitting on the grass, drinking and playing games. The other end of of the park is up the stairs and really a gorgeous more pulled back view, especially at sunset.

For being one of the most touristy spots in the world, I now understand why. It is absolutely beautiful. Went during the day and night twice. Didn't get a chance to go to the top but wish I did. Just watch out for the souvenir sellers, and wine/beer vendors. MAJOR scammers. No bottle is worth more than 5 , please do not settle for paying more.
The lights turn off at 1am (0100) (they have a sparkle show prior at 12:55am (2355) which is amazing. Make sure to see it!

Obviously a must do. Beautiful!! If you have bad weather in Paris (overcast/rainy) visit the Eiffel tower at night. The city lights are marvelous. I recommend take the stairs to 1st floor and the lift to the rest, this way you skip a long queue. At 07h00 (or when the sun has gone down) there is a beautiful light show on the Eiffel Tower. This is viewed better from the bottom and entertaining. This happens every hourly interval. The tower closes at 23h45 - info supplied by Google. Get you collection coin of the tower.
Enjoy

An enchanting and attractive land mark. Probably one of the most visited and most photographed icon. Lower area around the tower is closed due to work and probably security. Mesmerizing views from the tower of the city as well as river siene. Tower looks great diring day time and spectacular during night. A must visit place in paris. If you can carry try to bring your own water bottles, stuff here is costly. Nearby places include trocadero garden, place du trocadero, siene river cruise station

Whether you're lucky enough to have visited Paris or have only ever dreamed of going there, chances are you know of the French capital's most beloved landmark: the Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower, La Tour Eiffel in French, was the main exhibit of the Paris Exposition or World's Fair of 1889. It was constructed to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution and to demonstrate France's industrial prowess to the world.

The lights of the tower are switched on at 10 pm each night, after a lighting ceremony.
Nearest bus stop is Pont de Iena.
Also, offline tickets to enter the tower are sold here (10 for stairs, 25 for elevator)

See Paris most recognizable icons in the space of a single tour. Beat the crowds with skip-the-line access to the Eiffel Tower s second-floor viewing gallery. Then, embark on a Seine river cruise, during which you have ample opportunity to take photos of its riverbanks, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire landmarks such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre. Multiple departure times are available for added flexibility.

Make reservations online and come very early. I'd also advice to take the stairs as the queue is smaller. The place is safe, protected by barriers and security, as well as sometimes military officers. The view is a staple of the discovery of Paris. However, Pompidou center's view might be better and sometimes less crowded. Plus, the 7th floor of Galeries Lafayette has a great sight too.

It's such an iconic piece that we've all seen many times in popular culture, so I really wasn't expecting to be WOWed by the experience. It truly is a beautiful and magnificent piece of work. The area around it is beautiful and the tower itself has a very aesthetically pleasing nature to it. Go to the top if you can, it's worth the extra charge. It gives you a beautiful view of Paris and you can appreciate the city in a new way. Also buy tickets beforehand if you can as the lines are very long.

The best place to be in Paris is in front of Eiffel tower at any time of the day, especially the night time during summer. I felt the way up was systematically organized. I had bought the timed tickets in advance which gave me a head start, I highly recommend everyone else to do so as well if you plan to go up. Don't miss the sparkles in the evening on the hour, every hour!

Security was fairly quick and easy to get through. I wish it was a little more organized when it comes to catching an elevator up or down the tower. Besides that, the size of the tower is breath-taking. They also have a fairly priced gift shop. If you're willing to deal with all the tourists, this will be worth it. Definitely, should put this on your bucket list.

Very nice staf and security who working around. Entrance was free, but lines was long for elevator, we pass stairs queue quickly. Unfortunately we was with buggy and 1,5years old baby so we couldn't leave buggy anywhere its not allowed. If you have buggy better to leave in your place or go elevator. Its beautiful pond close to the tower as well.

The tower itself is beautiful but it has lost some of its charm due to the heavy tourist visiting. It looks very pretty at night when all the lights turn on. I watched it for the very first time from the Arc of Triumph and at night and it looked stunning. I think it is one of those places you must visit only once in a lifetime. I had a good time but I certainly don't see myself going back anytime soon, at least.

The view is absolutely incredible. I think timing of the visit is important. We bought tickets ahead of time with a specific time zone, and we still waited a very long time in line. Once inside there can still be quite a bit of waiting to get on and off the elevators. Once actually where you want to be the views are amazing. We enjoyed champagne at the top which was really cool as well. Consider buying the tickets in advance in order to get to the floor level you would like too.

While I absolutely love the Eiffel Tower for its h...

While I absolutely love the Eiffel Tower for its history, architectural prowess and it's beauty I wouldn't recommend climbing up. Why? Because similar views can be got from a few other locations without all the drama and waste of time. We went up at a time when it was considered to be quiet. And despite that we had to queue up for around 45 minutes for a security check that only allows you into the Eiffel Tower area. Then we had to queue for another half hour to buy our tickets to the first and second floors of the tower. Another security check and a 10-minute queue got us into an elevator to the second floor. Once there we had to queue for an hour and a half to buy tickets to go to the top. If you fancy being stuck 150m high with screaming, I'll-mannered children everywhere and even more ill-mannered parents (a reflection of our times) this would be your dream come true. On the other hand, the tower can truly be appreciated from the riverside just below, especially when it lights up at about 8pm. Hop onto one of many river boat pubs, grab a glass of wine and soak in the beautiful Parisian atmosphere that movies are made of, while enjoying views of the Eiffel tower. It really is remarkable. At 11pm it breaks out into a show of sparkles for 5 minutes.

Exquisite. You just need to be at the top of this tower to have a look at the amazing City that is Paris.
Make sure you book in advance for tickets to Level 3 because that's where you can have the best view.
Also, it looks wonderful in the night and there are light shows during the night so prefer visiting after after 10.

A must visit for any first time in Paris. Be prepared for long security lines consider purchasing skip-the-line tickets if possible. It's a man made marvel. Looks outstanding when you view it from your car bus and 500 metres away from it. It's seriously a pain to stand in the queue to reach the top. You have to take two lifts and need to stand in the queue for 1 hoir for each of them. The view from the Eiffel tower is just normal n the experience too. There's a nice place just opposite to Eiffel tower from where you can take breathtaking photos n a view of the tower.

The purpose of built may give you one angle of sense, but when it will becomes a symbolic icon of a magnanimous city can not be predicted. Alexander Gustave Eiffel was assigned to design and construct this tower in 1889 just for an identification of an event and it was suppose to be dismantled after the fare is over. But ultimately it remains ahead high as one of the seven wanders of the world. Our first step in Paris to visit Eiffel Tower in night as well as in day time and to get pleasure from the top.

Had booked a meal via Expedia at the Eiffel tower which included a skip the line lift pass.
This was really great as although when we arrived the kiosk had not been opened which was worrying at first, when they did open they were swift and efficient.
The queue was massive and just kept getting longer as we sat waiting, so going straight to the front saved a huge amount of time. I would recommend that whether you are site-seeing or going for a meal book a beat the line ticket every time.
When we arrived for the meal the staff were really good and attentive plus we were seated by the window which gave amazing views.
After being seated a photographer arrived but when I said we didn't want photos they were fine.
We were then served with drinks and then the meal which was great.
However while we were finishing our meals a salesman appeared at the table next to us trying to flog photos to the couple on that table.
He had absolutely no manners either to us or to the couple he was trying to sell to. He ended with his butt literally inches from my wife's face and after telling him to move, he did for a few seconds and then he was back. The guy had no clue about personal space at all.
Unfortunately he really put a dampener to the end of the meal.

Simply a must see if you re going to Europe/Paris. It s a spectacular sight, you have to see it in person to truly gauge the scale of it s size. When it lights up at night, stunning. Can t wait to go back!
Note: The most annoying part are all the people around trying to sell Eiffel Tower merchandise, I wish the government would sort that out so you can visit without being pestered.

Okay, the tower itself is more the impressive, but the area around it is most definitely not. Construction everywhere, closed roads and highly annoying dust getting into clothes and shoes does not make for a great experience. In fact, I looked like a refugee with chalky, dust covered feet and shoes after visiting the Eiffel tower.
I'd personally suggest observing the Eiffel tower from one of the many Seine river cruises. The views are just as good and as an added bonus, you won't look like you emerged from an UN Relief camp.

So here's the thing. The Eiffel Tower in itself is not of much appeal, considering it to be a metallic structure commercialised to attract tourists. However, from afar it does justice to its symbolic fame. You might want to go to the top of it just to get a good view of the city of Paris, but that's pretty much it; a room here showcases 2 life-sized statues of Edison and Eiffel. But the real deal is the night-time view, when the Tower is lit up. The lights will blink in a light show scheduled at 10pm and 11pm (timings might change), and is usually the time when buskers set themselves into romantic song, as couple begin dancing along.

Astounding, Amazing, Stupendous, the pride of France. Its amazing to view the towering Eiffel Tower from all angles be it from the gardens at Champ de Mars or cross the Seine River from Palais de Chaillot. View it from day time to dusk and night time. The lights at night is on once sunset until 1 am or 2 am during summer. It sparkles every one hour for 5 mins. Its something not to be missed. You can go up the tower too if you like for about 8 euros. There is a restaurant too if you want to eat and enjoy the view. You have never been to Paris if you have not been to the Eiffel Tower.

Constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair, it was initially criticised by some of France's leading artists and intellectuals for its design, but it has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world.

The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building, and the tallest structure in Paris. Its base is square, measuring 125 metres (410 ft) on each side. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930. It was the first structure to reach a height of 300 metres
