For more than a decade my wife & I and many friends have been enjoying the fine dining experiences at the essence of Unionville, but alas NO MORE.
We came with our family to yesterdays offering of Thanksgiving Dinner. We cannot think of one redeeming factor that made this a pleasant experience. All the food was cold & much of it under cooked, There were no table signs to indicate what the dish was ,when we asked one of the servers he just said, "Lift the lid". There was NO nicely sliced turkey just a turkey roll cooked to death in some kind of brown gravy, same story with the fish, I asked what type of fish & was told, it's whitefish - very informative. We do believe that more than one of you cold cuts of meat was OFF in the worst way, 4 out of the 6 of us have had continual diarrhea until noon the following day. Only 1 soup was offered - Pumpkin, which none of us was interested in trying. The desert table was a complete joke -cold apple crumble & a few little cakes of no significance.
With respect to service, well at a buffet it is customary for the waiters to remove used dishes from the table when patrons go for another course, but every time we came back to the table, there were still dirty dishes on the table. It's almost as though you had a new crew of people who had never done this before. all this for the handsome sum of $45.00 per ++we all agreed that we would have been better of at the Mandarin, much more of everything and at half the price.
As a final note, the open concept you have created is really not appropriate, I don't want to see bridal parties coming in for photo shoots & other guests hanging around peering in at you, makes you feel like you are on display, intimate dining is the name of the game, you really should get with the program. I am sorry to see a once great eating establishment go down the toilet but I am afraid that's where it belongs.

Yours Truly,
David A Ellis

Very nice. Huge rooms, mini apartments with iron and safe. Basic breakfast, could be better, but there is both sweet and savory. Refrigerator, but empty. The location is not the best, far from downtown Toronto. Nearby, however, a supermarket and several restaurants. Overall a good hotel, especially for the huge room.

Hotel from the outside looks good, but I have to report the following shortcomings: in the rooms the fridge bar is empty, if you want water you have to buy it, there is no possibility to change the euros. The fitness center is quite large but dirty, both the changing rooms and the sauna and showers. For a Hilton for $ 200 a night, out of breakfast, I don't recommend it!

Very good hotel, Hilton style. Modern and functional structure, the lounge bar located in the scenic reception area is beautiful. The rooms are spacious suites furnished with everything you need. Cleanliness, courtesy, silence. Two comfortable double beds, spacious bathroom. Hearty continental breakfast.
The hotel is located on highway 407, conveniently located with the Markham business area, and is very easy to reach.

Celebrated my friend's wedding reception in the ballroom. The staff were very friendly, the venue was beautiful, and there was plenty of space for guests to mingle. We did have a bit of trouble getting high chairs (had to ask a few times - the hotel had lots of events going on at once, so there were many families around). Brunch at the restaurant was very good with a great variety and tasty desserts, just a bit pricey ($100 for two people after tax and tip). The dim sum we had at the Chinese restaurant before the wedding was delicious, too. They could have done a few more cleaning sweeps of the washrooms and need to put changing tables in the men's room - my husband had to be escorted to the ladies room by a staff member to change our little one. Overall we had a great time and the wedding reception was fantastic!

I was at the Hilton for a wedding. It was a little bit of a let down having to pay for parking ($2 per half hour, so it was expensive). The signage for the wedding was almost non existant, but the staff was very helpful. The room itself was beautiful and the food was good.

Location is easy to access. Rooms were large and clean. Most nearby amenities require a vehicle in mildly inclement weather. Complimentary WiFi is available however coverage can be spotty, speed is slow, and premium WiFi is ridiculously priced. In 2016, requiring your guests to pay for decent WiFi is unacceptable.

Ok

Great location at warden and hwy 7. Always great customer service from the ladies in the front desk. Rooms are clean and roomy. We love the spacious living area and how there are TVs in both areas. My dad loved the beds as they were very comfortable. No complaints at all

Location was ok. Many restaurants nearby, but not much in the way of shopping, aside from the Pacific Mall. Have to drive though. Rooms were nice and spacious, but had to sleep on the sofa bed which was uncomfortable. Also, on the first night, there were loud teenagers in the hallway in the middle of the night and a yelling neighbor, but the rest of the nights were quiet.

Always ok.

This hotel is modern and very clean. The service was excellent. The thing that I like the best was how sound proofed the rooms are. The sitting rooms are immediately off the hallway and then there is a heavy sound proof door leading to the bedroom. So there is virtually no sound from the hallways in the bedroom. This is crucial for someone like me with sleep disorders. The only constructive feedback would be to have the option of more supportive memory foam pillows for people with neck issues. Also, I love the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries and it is so sad to see this coming to an end.

Rooms small, nothing special, beds uncomfortable, sugars coated with dried coffee; disgusting. Guy at front desk not friendly or warm, no smile.
Go somewhere else for the price! As a reply back to the response I received regarding my review... should rooms not be cleaned and checked prior to our checking in?? Also, no apology for the pathetic customer service just goes to show that it runs from top management down! Thank you for confirming what I wrote!
