Very disappointing place. Most of the massive attack concert we spent in huge ques for tokens, another que for drink and the biggest que for toilet. Considering this place is made for events they couldn't cope with the people. Our pod/shipping container was more expensive than 5 star luxury hotel in London and didn't even have towels. We paid for breakfast, there was another que and very ruff and shouty breakfast lady who put everyone in their place. They didn't even have normal buter but horrendous margarine. It was self-service with very poor choice. In fact it was one of the worst breakfast I have ever seen. Totally overpriced camp site that hides behind being ECO label.

Magnificent botanical garden and educational charity built in a reclaimed china clay pit. Inside the two biomes (rainforest and mediterranean) are plants collected from many diverse climates and environments. It also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK. Newest part of the project is The Core with an education facility, classrooms and exhibitions designed to help communicate Eden's central message about the relationship between people and plants. Eden hosts weekly parkruns on Saturdays. Entry fee and food prices are quite high but overall this place is definitely worth to see.

What an amazing place. One of the gems of our whole country, let alone Cornwall. I genuinely don't have the words for it.
I hired an electric wheelchair as I am disabled. Well worth booking one in advance. It's a long walk but the time flies by.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. We felt really welcome.
So much to see and do. Parking is excellent and the tractor train is an excellent way of getting an idea for the place. Do not miss it. It's something we should all see and support. Just wonderful.

Extremely disappointed with the food provided.
The system they have does not quite work and the chefs don't know the ingredients in the food they are serving.

Trek through the world's largest indoor rainforest, take in the sights and smells of our Mediterranean Biome, and explore our huge outdoor gardens. At the Eden Project you'll discover the fascinating relationships between plants and people. You'll also find a full calendar of family events throughout the year and music festivals in the summer. As an educational charity we run transformational social and environmental projects locally and internationally.

Absolutely amazing place. If you have any interest in gardening, nature or even architecture this place will hit the spot. If you don't have any interest in the above then you're sure to leave with your interest piqued. Had a very magical and memorable time there. Also the shipping container accommodation was excellent and perfect for couples.

Disappointing for all the hype.....
Space exhibition could not cater for my 2 younger children. Only had slot car racing with a moon surrounding for 3 mins...bit of a farse. Space talk was ok in Mediterranean zone but not as good as it should be and then to top it all a half hour wait for an ice cream and some flavours had run out.
Only saving grace was the tropical zone is still fun and the gardens looked good even with all the heat we have had

Very disappointing. Eden appears to be a cross between a children's theme park and an educational establishment. I had expected the latter. If you wish to see plants well displayed and classified, go to Kew Gardens. Too expensive all round. The food was fantastic though.

Had an ok day at Eden Project. One negative I think needs to be looked at by management is letting too many people in. I think everyone finds this now at alot of places visited during the school holidays it ends up spoiling the experience as everyone's squashed in like sardines. It's a shame as it's a great place for kids to learn about the environment but if they can't get around because there's too many people something needs to change.

Firstly yes I think the place is a tad overpriced, and the bio domes are the main attraction. (The rainforest bio dome was stunning) The Eden project remains a very worthwhile place to visit. Also remember no wifi or 4G here. ( at least I couldn't obtain a signal) If you are a gardening fanatic or into plants & flora & fauna, you will love it here.

Yes it's pricey as everyone has said but I really enjoyed the day.
I had visited about 10 years ago when I was a teenager so I brought my partner along to see it this time as he'd never been.
Our highlight (apart from the Roul Rouls) was ADAM the Banana man talking about the banana industry. We learnt so much! He has such a passion for it so we stayed and chatted a little longer after as well and so did others. Thanks Adam!
The exhibition Earth Story is a must see as it's a very important message.

We also stayed at the YHA there which is very well priced. We were going to camp for our few nights in Cornwall but as it was a good price it was a nice break to have a bed for a night!

I visited on a really wet and miserable day but still enjoyed my visit here. I was really impressed with the range of activities and exhibitions appropriate for children. Lots to see for adults and I also really enjoyed the shop. I imagine the music events they run are great, it is a really pretty and atmospheric space .. I hope to visit again soon.

So overcrowded here that at times it felt dangerous. No staff on hand in the sections that were really overcrowded. Almost a 45-50minute wait for viewing platforms in the rainforest. A lot of hype in my opinion and although very informative and educational, not really worth the money to be jostled all along the way and que for ages to see or do anything.

As fantastic as it looks in the brochures. Very well thought out. You need to give your self plenty of time to visit this place. A Nature lovers paradise. Both inside and out this place is an inspiration. We took our time, enjoyed the catering both between the domes and in the Mediterranean dome its self. Like being away abroad!
The Tropical Dome is great. Although most things are on the pricy side you do get good value.

Great experience but buy your tickets before if you can to avoid the lengthy delay at the tills. They offer a yearly pass for the same price as a family ticket which means most families end up having photos taken and answer additional questions for membership so each family takes about 5 minutes to get through the till. If you are behind a few families, don't be surprised to wait 20 minutes +. Also discount vouchers dont seem to apply to family tickets, although this was not on terms and conditions. Signage could have been better. Use the park and ride to avoid the walk to and from your car.

The first time I visited the Eden Project 7, maybe 8 years ago with family, it was absolutely amazing. I d raved about it since then. So this year on a romantic holiday to Cornwall, I took my other half.

This is not the Eden Project I remember. It s cramped and tacky. I still have no idea why they have an ice rink there... There used to be a lovely outdoor space with interesting sculptures as you went from one dome to the other, now it s all enclosed with a garish eating area and over priced ice cream.

Not quite a 5 star rating which is because it was such a long time getting in due to the slow till process. I appreciate gift aid donations but when so many people do it, it slows down the queue horrendously. Perhaps a couple of quick tills or even a ticket machine would improve it. The staff were very friendly and willing to answer questions. It can get very noisy with some out of control school parties who frequently blocked pathways in large groups. A good walking stick soon moves them! Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Excellent disabled services as well. A free bus ride service to and from the car parks and a tractor pulled land train to and from the entrance to the biomes was excellent. The land train even pauses on the ridge for photo taking. Drivers are most polite and helpful to all the passengers.
DO NOT VISIT CORNWALL WITHOUT SEEING THE EDEN PROJECT!!! It is truly unique and serving a great cause.

I definitely enjoyed my stay here but somehow expected a bit more. Perhaps it's because it's such a popular attraction here, not really a moment to enjoy the garden when so many people are around you.

Very expensive for what it is. Due to covid there was a number interactive activities missing and not available. Having the one way system in the biomes was a great idea to stop people wondering. Although, maybe some spots on the floor to indicate where people can stand to read the signs. This will stop people stopping in the middle of the path and causing a que. A number of the hand sanitiser staions were empty and alot of outdoor signs were faded. But, the biomes were beautiful aswell as the flowers and sculptures. All staff were very happy to help and the food was good.

Getting to the car park was confusing first parked in ymca car park but after that it was lovely and interesting to walk around you need a few hours. The food hall is ample. You can also go on a zip wire over the complex. It's a good visit for young and old.

It's absolutely incredible to think that this started life as a dank, retired quarry. When you first arrive, the vista of all those perky little bubbles is something to behold! The sheer scale of the place is enormous and I simply cannot understate the importance of what this does for both the local area and future of the planet.

The experience is pretty much all about the rainforest biome. It feels like you've been transported thousands of miles away. The detail is incredible and the educational information puts it all into context (i.e. we need to stop killing the planet).

Unfortunately the viewing platform was closed which was a bit of a bummer.

The rest is a bit peripheral. The Mediterranean biome felt a bit like popping to Tia Rosa's back garden for a few minutes... After the rainforest biome this was a bit underwhelming so do this first. The outer gardens are still very pleasant though.

While they rightly encourage you to use public transport, the timetable means you might have to wait an hour for a bus when you get to St Austell which meant we had to get a taxi which seemed to negate the whole point.

And finally, food options were decent enough but a little toppy price-wise.

We came here to see Blondie play and visited the biomes during the day as you get 2 days free entry with a ticket (which makes the value of a sessions ticket much more worth it, as I don't think I'd visit for the standard entry price!) The biomes, the rainforest one in particular, are gorgeous. You might get a little hot in the rainforest, especially on a warm day, but there are plenty of things that cool you down on the way round - there's a cool room as well as a rain shack or the cloud bridge is lovely and cooling! We waited half an hour to do the suspended walkway but it wasn't really worth it - we didn't spend long up there and got bored quite quickly. We also ate in the Mediterranean restaurant for lunch, and although reservations were required they squeezed us in which was nice - although we spotted a few people just wander in and sit themselves down! Food was overpriced and average. For the gig itself, the arena is quite small and so quite intimate - we were right at the front but you can see from anywhere! Would really recommend it as a venue. It's awful trying to get out of the car park afterwards though, so allow about half an hour on top of your journey for that!

Great day out. The rainforest biome is the more interesting. Can get very hot though. I'd suggest doing this one first with a fresh bottle of water on hand. The viewing platform is worth a little wait but it is sweltering up there.
The Mediterranean biome is a bit meh. Strolled around it in about 15 minutes.

Also, be prepared to walk.

100% bucket list material! An absolute gem! Very good price for what you are experiencing! You would usually have to travel across the world to get a glimpse of what you see here.

No matter the weather outside, you will want to be able to strip down into something you could wear in a very hot climate as the Rainforest Biome is beautifully hot and personally my favourite part of the whole experience. Please note that they provide a nice cool room for those who may not be able to handle the heat so much.

Overall the Eden Project is my absolute favourite place in the world and definitely worth checking off the bucket list!

Spectacular even in the Mizzle. We visited on a rainy day and the biomes were spectacular. There were new sections being replanted and there is so much to see.
The Mediterranean biome has loads of different smells from all the plants and takes you through a fascinating journey across the temperate climes whilst the rainforest biome showcases a variety of jungle plants with some beautiful intricate flowers and plants from across the world.
Although there was a little bit of a wait the sky platform is stunning as well and I well worth the climb.
We were on a short time frame unfortunately and it was a little frustrating how you can't really take a direct route to the biomes from reception.

Too much gastronomy and art!

Too much gastronomy and art!
The system is certainly really impressive and the domes also look really great. Definitely a worthwhile trip for children and classes. The variety of plants is very beautiful and you can spend a lot of time in the Eden Project.

The core is an exhibition hall with more or less artistic installations, which is intended to familiarize visitors with the meaning of the various elements.
What I found to be an absolute disappointment was that large cafeterias / restaurants and souvenir shops were integrated in the entrance hall as well as in the Mediterranean dome, in the core and in the connecting hall between the domes. This gave me the impression that you want to sell food and merchandising items to visitors rather than recommend nature.
I was also very surprised that there were work vehicles with a COMBUSTION engine in the domes. This shows me that the operators convey their concept very inconsistently.
Too bad, had promised me a lot more.
There are much nicer, less commercial and, above all, cheaper gardens in Cornwall!

Been here twice. The 2nd visit was against my will but majority rules !!!
If your into flowers and gardens you'll probably love the whole experience. I liked the domes but they are not as big as they look from outside and you are quickly through them.

A lovely day out. It took quite a long time to get in due to the long walk from the car park (longer on the way back due to being uphill and with someone with mobility issues). There were also long waits at the tills to get in
However, the experience itself was very interesting with a lot to see and learn. Very beautiful. Also, recommend getting ice cream when there, it was gorgeous.

Now the plants have reached adult stage, the whole experience is a lot better. The Eden project is a small section of rain forest, put into a biome. Everything is exact even down to the humidity, but don't worry theirs places of rest and cooling down meaning everyone can enjoy the fantastic experience. A must visit rain or shine.

Nice walk around the project however prices are high not only for entry, but for food and drink items also. The Eden project is ok, but compared to other things you could do in the area definitely not first choice or best value for money. I recommend Trebah gardens over this one any day.

Lovely day out with the family. While food and entry is initially expensive at the end of the day we all enjoyed it and had a good time. The rainforest biome was a spectacle and it was clearly so much effort had gone into make the day an experience for everyone. Gift shop prices are again pretty expensive but when it's considered that the money you are paying goes directly to charity it's not that bad. Would recommend.

The place to spend a day if you're into plants and fauna. If you're just after a relaxing day in pleasant surroundings then it's also good. It is expensive entry. Food and drink prices are typical. There are plenty of places to eat and sit. The road signage is at complete odds to your sat nav and not clear considering the bulk of people will be traveling down from the east.

Very well organised, the queues are stagger and labelled well enough so you know exactly where to go and not standing about for ages. Loads to look at and do. Prices inside aren't too bad. My only complaint is allowing dogs in which sadly allows dog mess, not usually a problem in a theme park.

About Eden Project

Eden Project: A Sustainable and Educational Destination in Cornwall, UK

The Eden Project is a world-renowned eco visitor attraction located in Cornwall, UK. It is not just a tourist destination but also an educational charity that aims to explore the interconnections between all living things. The project was founded by Tim Smit and opened its doors to the public in 2001. Since then, it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the UK.

The Eden Project is situated on a former clay pit that was transformed into a stunning garden with two large biomes - Rainforest Biome and Mediterranean Biome - housing thousands of plant species from around the world. The Rainforest Biome alone covers an area of 1.5 acres and simulates tropical rainforests from South America, West Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Apart from its impressive biomes, the Eden Project also features outdoor gardens that showcase various plants such as tea, lavender, hemp, sunflowers, and more. Visitors can take guided tours or explore on their own while learning about sustainable gardening practices.

One of the unique aspects of the Eden Project is its commitment to sustainability. The project uses renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines to power its operations. It also collects rainwater for irrigation purposes and composts waste materials for use as fertilizer.

In addition to being a sustainable destination itself, the Eden Project also promotes sustainability through various educational programs aimed at both adults and children. These programs cover topics such as climate change mitigation strategies, biodiversity conservation efforts, sustainable agriculture practices among others.

The project's commitment to education extends beyond its physical location through online resources such as virtual tours of their biomes available on their website for free viewing worldwide.

Visitors can enjoy various events throughout the year at Eden including concerts featuring famous artists like Lionel Richie or Snow Patrol; food festivals showcasing local produce; workshops teaching skills like beekeeping or bread-making; exhibitions exploring themes like art & nature or science & technology among others.

Overall if you are looking for an unforgettable experience that combines education with entertainment while promoting sustainability then look no further than The Eden Project!
