Nico Sehmisch Review of Eden Project
Too much gastronomy and art!
Too much gastronomy and art!
The system is certainly really impressive and the domes also look really great. Definitely a worthwhile trip for children and classes. The variety of plants is very beautiful and you can spend a lot of time in the Eden Project.
The core is an exhibition hall with more or less artistic installations, which is intended to familiarize visitors with the meaning of the various elements.
What I found to be an absolute disappointment was that large cafeterias / restaurants and souvenir shops were integrated in the entrance hall as well as in the Mediterranean dome, in the core and in the connecting hall between the domes. This gave me the impression that you want to sell food and merchandising items to visitors rather than recommend nature.
I was also very surprised that there were work vehicles with a COMBUSTION engine in the domes. This shows me that the operators convey their concept very inconsistently.
Too bad, had promised me a lot more.
There are much nicer, less commercial and, above all, cheaper gardens in Cornwall!
