Interesting environmental themed botanical garden incorporating bio-domes.

If you care about the environment and green issues issues you will enjoy and get a lot out of a visit here. Even a passing interest in such issues would ensure you have a great day. If this is not your thing, much of it will come across as a party political broadcast on behalf of the green party.

The cost to get in was quite expensive though we spent the whole day here.

Lousy queuing experience! Queues for queues to queue. I'm sure it could be improved with bar codes or QR codes on the ticket, and being able to complete the annual pass bits approach. Annual pass approach rather a joke since it involves yet another queue when having pre purchased. Quicker for friends to purchase on the day than pre-pay and get an annual pass. Haven't even got to the garden yet...

Great place to visit. Family loved all of the site.
Good that were able to bring our dog in with us. What could make Eden more dog friendly, would be a canine run off area. This would let dogs de-stress, before or after being put on the lead around the project.

Absolutely fantastic day out. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive due to the price, but it's well worth it, and the ticket lasts a year if you opt to make it a donation rather than a purchase. Bought the tickets online before hand, so took all of 45 seconds to get through the ticket office too. Spent at least 6 hours there with my partner as there is a lot to see and do. Thought the food was very reasonably priced, and very good quality. Don't know why so many reviews on here are complaining about it being to expensive to eat there. Plenty of space to eat a picnic, and free water fountains if you're on a budget. Definitely worth a day out there. Get there when it opens to avoid the worst of the crowds as it does get busy.

Thankfully I had free tickets otherwise I would not have been happy paying the price for the experience I received. I thought it would be a prestige place but I couldn't believe the amount of weeds. The two glass houses were amazing and full of extraordinary plants; the rainforest biome was far more better then the Mediterranean biome. There's a cafe in the Mediterranean biome and there is no need for it considering there are two large canteen dining areas mere feet away in the cross link. There's a small sensory garden in the med biome which asks 'what can you smell?' and all we could smell was food from the indoor cafe. There seemed to be a higher priority of putting cafes and food places everywhere then plants in my opinion.

The exhibits here are very informative and interesting, really showing off all of the different cultures in the rainforest and Mediterranean areas. There are many interactive activities for children, allowing them to further investigate this interesting place. The outside areas fail to dissapoint, also showcasing a variety of species.

However, this is a great day out

Loved every minute of it even though I only got round half of it and it was November and chucking it down outside which prevented me checking out the outdoor biodomes. I can't wait to go back and check out all that I missed. And with my year pass there's no excuse not to. There's so much to see and do there that it's worth a couple of visits. Not to be rushed.

Amazing place. The scale of the project is mind boggling. Hundreds of plant species from all over the world and a fascinating journey walking around viewing them all. Entrance fee is a bit steep, but you could happily spend five or six hours in here. if anything it's a little too popular! You can occasionally feel pushed to keep moving due to the crowds. But a brilliant place and a definate must.

A truly inspirational and an amazing place. Loved the Rainforest dome with the birds and chicks running around. Enjoyed the Mediterranean dome brought back memories of holidaying in Mediterranean countries. The Core was fascinating looking at the microbiology and the earth as a planet looking to the future.

Few really beautiful flowers next to such exotic plants like grass and sunflowers. Pretty disappointing especially for the very high prize. The buildings look awesome and it is really relaxing but it has lost its scientific meaning and is only existing for money

Plants, trees, flowers, bacteria and even some animals are what you can find here, and wow, they have a lot of it. You'll almost forget you are walking in a giant dome, it feels like a real rainforest.

and again for mediocre food 38.00 pounds .queued yet again to go into the tropical biomes like a heard of sheep could not look at any thing.
where told there was 40/50 minutes wait for the viewing platform when we finally got to it,then we had to exit using the fire escapes.
very unsatisfactory.

What a day and what an experience! So well worth the trek out. Beautiful, informational, entertaining, inspiring and welcoming.
The outside area has lots of interesting plants and displays, with information stands and a nice winding route. The domed areas are even more amazing. The kitchen canteen was impressive with lots of healthy and varied dishes to try, it was hard to choose. On the way out there's a shop with many different products, from live plants to clothes and food.

It's OK. It's very very over priced. Not sure how a bus service from a car park 2mins away is eco friendly which is all this place bangs on about. Staff seem to hate their jobs. Not worth the entry fee at all

Bucketlist location. Really has to be experienced.

Pros:
Sensation for the senses.
Bring your camera- beautiful sights.
"train" tractor ride down to the venue.
Rainforest greenhouse
Educational value.
Roof balcony views.
Buy the guidebook- I regretted not doing so.

Cons:
Eyewatering entry fee & expensive giftshop.
Cost & taste of food on site- heads-up- Do NOT have the bannana smoothie from the novelty truck in the greenhouse and avoid the sweet potatoe fries at all costs!

Recommend:
Go early.
Take your camera.
Bring your own water & food/snacks.
Dress light.
Enjoy it- you miss it when back home.

The domes are impressive and the gardens are lovely. You can take dogs into the gardens but not into the exhibits or domes. It seems pricey but its well worth a visit. Take a picnic if you like and visit the shop on the way out

Amazing place. Inside the biomes its a proper rainforest with humid and hot climate. There is a hanging bridge which gives a 360 degree view of the place. Wasn't sure whether to visit this place but good that we did.

Great day out with plenty to see.

The topical biome has a massive range of flaura and fauna plus a walkway to the top of the dome for a great overview.

Mediterranean home has lots of interesting plants and ingredients grown in their natural habitat.

Highlight was the highest and longest zip line in Europe, flying across the entire site.

About Eden Project

Eden Project: A Sustainable and Educational Destination in Cornwall, UK

The Eden Project is a world-renowned eco visitor attraction located in Cornwall, UK. It is not just a tourist destination but also an educational charity that aims to explore the interconnections between all living things. The project was founded by Tim Smit and opened its doors to the public in 2001. Since then, it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the UK.

The Eden Project is situated on a former clay pit that was transformed into a stunning garden with two large biomes - Rainforest Biome and Mediterranean Biome - housing thousands of plant species from around the world. The Rainforest Biome alone covers an area of 1.5 acres and simulates tropical rainforests from South America, West Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Apart from its impressive biomes, the Eden Project also features outdoor gardens that showcase various plants such as tea, lavender, hemp, sunflowers, and more. Visitors can take guided tours or explore on their own while learning about sustainable gardening practices.

One of the unique aspects of the Eden Project is its commitment to sustainability. The project uses renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines to power its operations. It also collects rainwater for irrigation purposes and composts waste materials for use as fertilizer.

In addition to being a sustainable destination itself, the Eden Project also promotes sustainability through various educational programs aimed at both adults and children. These programs cover topics such as climate change mitigation strategies, biodiversity conservation efforts, sustainable agriculture practices among others.

The project's commitment to education extends beyond its physical location through online resources such as virtual tours of their biomes available on their website for free viewing worldwide.

Visitors can enjoy various events throughout the year at Eden including concerts featuring famous artists like Lionel Richie or Snow Patrol; food festivals showcasing local produce; workshops teaching skills like beekeeping or bread-making; exhibitions exploring themes like art & nature or science & technology among others.

Overall if you are looking for an unforgettable experience that combines education with entertainment while promoting sustainability then look no further than The Eden Project!
