I was honestly very disappointed in my stay here. ...

I was honestly very disappointed in my stay here. My boyfriend and I stayed here over other hotels primarily because it had a hot tub/heated whirlpool outside. One day when we had decided to test it out, we had to call maintenance to heat up the pool and they responded by saying they'll come out and heat it for us. We waited outside for about 10-15 minutes and still saw no one come out and assist us. We called again to see their status, and they responded by saying that the heater was broken. I do not understand why they didn't send someone out to tell us it was broken. If we hadn't called back, we could've possibly just waited outside forever for the maintenance crew if we didn't know. I felt that was poor service on their part and they should've sent someone outside to tell us and not have us wait there for no reason (especially since it was windy and cold that day... we were waiting outside and shivering).
So later we decided to soak in a hot bath instead since we didn't have the hot tub available. Instead we found that the closure for the drain to fill up the bathtub was leaky (so the bath wouldn't stay filled), and from an underside point of view, we could see mold growing underneath the shampoo/soap shelves in the bathtub which was very disappointing. I will never come here again, and I am extremely disappointed that this is the standard Marriott holds this hotel to. The only reason this didn't get a 1 star is because I was pleased with how professional the front desk was, and the living/bedroom area was nice as well.

It's a nice hotel. Rooms are clean. But the food is terrible. This is the 2nd time we've stayed there and the food wasn't good. And the maid kept banging on the door and was told to cone back later on two occasions. She then said we had to pay for another night which made no sense to us. Last time we stayed there the pool was filthy. Don't think we will be staying at this hotel again.

For the trip and time that we were there, I felt that the overall experience was pretty pleasant. The room was nicely set up, the staff was accommodating and very friendly, the breakfast was tasty, and all the amenities were provided. The only issue I would have to say is that there were only stairs on the outside of the hotel that we weren't allowed to use. Had we been able to, there wouldn't have been nearly as much congestion around the elevators.

After 3 years of Platinum membership with Marriott...

After 3 years of Platinum membership with Marriott, this location has made me seriously consider switching my brand. If I can keep just one guest from staying at this hotel I will feel like I have done my due diligence. Management is non-existent, customer service is negligent, and the employees are rude and self-important. To top it, they are far too cavalier with the spending of your money by charging and double charging in a reckless and almost deceitful manner.

It all started before arrival, I checked in via the mobile app as I always do, but my card was authorized the night before I arrived, for the total stay as well as incidental deposit. That wouldn t have been a problem, but when I actually arrived I explained I had already been charged, the front desk associate apologized for what had happened at the exact time that she reauthorized my card a second time for the total stay plus incidental deposit. Two authorizations totaling $900 just for a 2 night stay.

I called down a few hours later to explain what had happened. The woman apologized for authorizing my card twice and sent a complimentary fruit and cheese platter. That was lovely, the one star was for the platter. The rest of my stay was enjoyable. The gym and poo, area were quite nice.

Several days later, the authorizations fell off and the charge went through for the total stay. Clean and uneventful. A week later I was double charged for the exact amount. The issues started when I called to correct the wrongdoing on their part. The front desk associate refused to put a manager on the phone but only put me through to the accountant. The accountant insisted that I stayed four nights and that she would have to check with housekeeping to see if I didn t extend my stay. Housekeeping? Where is management? I told her that if she checked my Marriott account she could see that I checked into a Marriott in Atlanta the same days she claimed I stayed. I also have a flight itinerary I was happy to show her. I used to think the customer is always right, but apparently you have to defend yourself these days. I asked her to have someone from management call me. NO call, NO apology. When the accountant finally did her research and found her error, the below note was all I received.

Good Afternoon Ms. Mark,

After our phone conversation today, Wednesday February 17, 2016, I did my researched and came to the conclusion you were only at our hotel for two nights. Attached you will find a copy of the folio showing the adjustment for two nights, $159 per night plus taxes. Please allow 3-5 business days for the credit to post.

If you have any questions or need additional information please contact me at any time.

Thank you,

NO APOLOGY, not one word of sorry, sorry that our mistakes have caused you trouble. Sorry that you must have a lot of spare time to spend on the phone with our entire hotel staff (no management), trying to fix the problems that WE have caused you. I ve never felt so unappreciated for staying loyal to a brand in my life. Hyatt or Hilton would have reimbursed the entire stay and given me some bonus points. And they would have said SORRY. I ll stick with them from now on as much as I can help it.

Booked this room using rewards points - surprised how low the points needed given how expensive MArriott rewards is compared to Hilton. used 10K points! Very nice property, i upgraded to a King Suite for $20 and asked for a low floor. When checked in, we received a room with a balcony which was really nice we relaxed outside before getting ready and enjoyed cocktails on the deck. Our side faced the dealership (west side) as another reviewer noted but the bed room has no windows and the living room has room darkening drapes covering the glass sliding doors so its not an issue. Staff is nice and service was prompt. example: forgot to request time on breakfast room service, they called us and wife said "anytime" is good, they were there in 10 minutes with food. We requested new towels for the morning and they were delivered ASAP. very nice. Nit Picks: the A/C controls are some new "green" piece of crap with a motion sensor on it and only one AC vent for the whole suite! it got warm in our room even though we cranked it to 68 - i cant stand in front of the thermostat to "activate it" all day. Also, our room was handicapped equiped and the whole bathroom is a wet area - the shower allows water on the deck which is weird because it pooled and splattered to the toilet so your feet get wet long after a shower. So, overall we will stay again if another occassion arises, nit picky issues aside (and it does have full service bar downstairs). :)

Thank You to Kristin Garica for not giving up until she found those people who were refused to have their dogs stay with them in Holiday Inn Suite..... She located these people and offered them a place to stay with their animals it's nice to see some places actually think of our animals as part of our family....

I must reference they only reason they are getting three stars is that I was the last of seven people who did not get a room due to overbooking. Arriving at 11:30 pm (I informed them of late arrival) I find that there is a "maintenance issue", then the manager comes out and squares up with me, that they are actually overbooked. Having a meeting at this hotel at 8 am I was not a happy camper but they did make it right, free night at another Marriott property nearby, an Uber Black picking me up at 6:30 am the next day, and a free breakfast. Thank you for making the best of a bad situation. 3 stars for overbooking 5 stars for "making it right".

This is one of my favorite places for a "staycation". Love the hotel, the bar is nice, the rooms are clean. They have a pool and hot tub that is nice and clean. Really just enjoy when I want to just relax in Houston. Have been here several...maybe a few more times and always had a pleasant visit. The room service is good. Coffee is good in the morning and the breakfast showed up promptly and hot! All good things here!

I went for a professional luncheon. The hotel was very well kept, clean and contemporary. The staff was attentive and friendly, always had a smile on. The food was good, but nothing too special. It was a good event and I would like to thank them for hosting us!

VERY UNSAFE HOTEL- The general manager's reply appears to be "canned" and did not address the issue that 5 cars were broken into and thousands of dollars of property were stolen under their watch.

My family and I just relocated from NC and stayed for a night before we moved into our new apartment. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I look forward to staying again in the near future!

Better than many other hotels in the area.

Restaurants are good.

Vegetarian breakfast is too good. Many varieties for vegetarian breakfast as compare to other hotels.

Negative - no laundry , no restaurants to walk,

I checked in through the app and like usual I requested a late check out for today. At 12:05, a man barges into my room saying you have to check out. I was in bed as he had just woken me up. I told him I have as late check out. He looked at his paper and said it doesn't say here. This was the first time this has happened to me at any hotel.

Clean room. 2nd floor rooms on one side comes with attached balcony. Great for those who looks for extra space to roam around or just to enjoy the outdoor. Breakfast options wasn't that great. Great staff at the front desk office

Went here for a conference. We were treated well, with the staff attending any issues we had with setup. There was even a complete safety presentation by one of the managers, which I've never seen before, but I think is an excellent idea. Overall, between the attentive staff and the attractive facilities, this is an excellent venue.

Attended a friends wedding here last week, I found the hall to be decently sized but clean and elegant.

My friend mentioned that the price was very affordable for the luxury it provided.

I can't speak on behalf of the hotel rooms but I am a Marriott credit card holder and so far they've never let me down

They claimed to have free Wi-Fi but after I checked in, they informed me it was only free for Rewards members. They also didn't have any water pressure in the building so we were not able to shower the entire time we were there.

Hotel is wonderful and truly a hidden gem on the energy corridor. The staff is very courteous and jacki at front desk is very knowledgeable. She made check very easy and upgraded us to a larger room to accomodate our party of 4. Also, Douglas was great at the bar while serving us at the pool. We will definitely come knowing what we know now about this hotel.

Nice, modern, great to have a Pappacitas in the hotel and Pappadeauxs across the street. Great customer service. Had a bit of an issue getting the bellhop to hold our luggage while we ate at Pappacitas, but the valet guys helped us out. Overall a great experience for my family and me.
