Great place to stay on the beach. Very relaxing. Very friendly staff. Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it immensely. 3 block walk to the Atlantic pier where their shops restaurants Briny Pub which was very excellent in food. Planning to go back very soon

Great location right on the beach! Close to restaurants and shops. Clean, great for short stays and even week long stays. Room had kitchenette and full size fridge and oven. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only reason not given 5 stars was that our a/c was not very cold. Second stay there and look forward to taking family there.

Directly on the beach, rooms are old but comfortable. Staff is nice! Great place to unwind and relax!

My family stayed in May 2014 and here its June 2015 and we are on our way back to Ebbtide. Love this place!

Worst place to stay ever . The lady in the front office Karen is so rude and disrespectful . As long as she runs this place I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here .

Great little old school resort on a beautiful strip of beach

Great place to stay if you re looking for something conveniently located. Right on the beac and walking distance from restaurants pharmacy etc. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable.

Dream location, private beach, very clean rooms, free parking, very friendly staff, walking distance to restaurants and fishing pier.

Needs a little TLC in rooms, additional lighting, but grounds are immaculate.

The hotel has a cozy, family feel. The pool is nice and the property is clean. The rooms need major upgrade. The area rug in room 15 was dirty, the frame had a melted section... overall it was clean ,no roaches but very out dated.

Love this place, the service it s great Susan and Karen. Just a few steps and you are in the beach the room it was great perfectly clean and feel like at home and the best plus it s pet friendly. I love I find this perfect spot!

Needs some serious updating. The rooms have a moldy, musty, mildewy smell. Grounds are really nice. Pool is OK. Beach is beauriful. The owner is very nice.

It is a very pleasant and comfortable place. It is literally in front of the beach. Highly recommended if what you are looking for is to be in front of the sea!

Great Beach Location! Location!! Location!! Location!! This place has old world Charm and has great views and Tiki huts! Our Room was very Clean and the Bed was Comfy also Roll out of bed and you are steps away from a Great Private Beach The Owner Karen is a Doll that will go out of her way for her Customers Susie her Partner is super nice also!! the place is well kept and very private and comfortable this place is the beast kept Secret in Pompano and it is footsteps to everything I have stayed in other Places on the beach from Boca to Pompano this Place is BEST BY FAR!!!!! I will make this my New place to lodge
PS: We walked into the room after we got the key and the room smelled like Bleach Nice and Fresh.......

My husband and I have stayed here now 4 times. We love it! The staff is so accommodating to early check ins and late check outs. The view is amazing and not to mention that you are only steps from the ocean. The only thing that could be better here is to serve breakfast on the beach!...

We had a wonderful time at the Ebb Tide. The location is perfect, directly on the beach. The rooms were spacious, the pool was clean. There were turtle nests on the beach, and we actually got to see some. The staff was more than friendly. Ample tiki huts, tables, and grills for our entire group to enjoy. Will definitely be returning.

Without much luxury in rooms, but comfortable, and with good park, swimming pool and exit to the beach. Also, although it does not have breakfast included, it has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, which makes the stay more economical.

It was quaint. The owners were wonderful. Had a great time.

Rooms are clean. .location is perfect. ..I would totally recommend it.

The bathroom was full of roaches and the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Only good thing was the pool.

Best place to relax. Our family has been regulars here for 8 years. Karen, Susan & Billy always willing to help with anything you need. Rooms are perfect with kitchens. Tiki huts are amazing, and grills on the property. Step right onto the beach. Heaven!!!

Terrible experience. Smokey from the minute you walk in. Smokers everywhere. Beware non smokers. Comes into the rooms. Chemicals and smoke from the BBQ comes into the rooms. Toilets overflow. Workers smoke constantly as well. Loud partying all hours of the night. Plenty of other nice places around. Search for them.
In response to the reply to my review, I came back once and will not be back again. The owner gets loopy after hours, so it's hard to reason with her. My experience with all the pot smokers, cigarette smokers and party noise was very real and was not in my head. Her employee smokes all over the place, along with everyone else. She also did not give me the correct money owed, after I decided to leave. Just be careful, that is all I am saying.

My family and I have been coming here for the past 10 years. Because of Karen, Susan and Billy we will ALWAYS keep coming back. Very clean rooms. One step and you're right on the beach. Walking distance to the Pompano public beach, shops and fishing pier. Housekeepers are accommodating but sometimes you have to chase them down. Lol! This little place is a slice of heaven for a vacation get away. Every year we've come here other guests are super friendly and it's just an all around blessing and very relaxing atmosphere while here. The rooms are outdated BUT no problems with like water pressure in the shower and the rooms that have the kitchenettes are small but useable. I want to say THANK YOU Karen, Susan (who has since retired) and Billy for everything you all do and have done and for providing guests with this little place I like to call paradise. --- Kellie (one of the Indiana twins)

I have been coming here for years, and Karen and SUSAN, are Amazing! However this trip has been a whole different experience! I think they may be under new management.
I booked a downstairs room for my handicapped husband, son and i, and was called by the new mgr. that I would have a better room upstairs with ocean views. I asked my husband if he wanted that and he said ok to it. I called and booked our room from the 18th thru the 25th.upon arrival he had only booked my room from the 18th thru the 24th, he has done nothing to correct this issue. We go to the room and the stair rails and deck are in disarray and there is construction started but no work being done, this is a hazard for my husband! I immediately go back to request a downstairs suite. I am told their is nothing available.
The new staff is not very accommodating and knowing my husband is a paraplegic putting us up in a room that is in a dangerous condition to get to and messing up the dates. is not good customer service, He has not been helpful nor accommodating at all!!
This is so sad and I wish Karen and Susan were back they were the epidemy of a gracious host. they are what made this place amazing, and the reason i kept coming back!!!!

Great location with descent rooms...dog friendly is a plus

Got a room for 1 night the end of February. Although the website said full I decided to call and about any cancelations. I talked directly to the owner who is onsite and asked if she had a room for 1 night. She promised to call back after she checked. I was sure I would never hear form her but she called and said she could get me a room for the 1 night. I jumped on it. When my husband and I arrived we found the room very attractive, some what like a B&B and directly on the ocean. The location was perfect near restaurants, public park and lots of places to walk. We enjoyed the 1 night and will definitely go back.

Hidden gem by the sea (unbeatable location). A bit tired in its appointments and modest in infrastructure, but full of character and family operated.

I love this place but don't want everyone rushing to stay here! Let's keep it our little secret paradise!

Great location! Beautiful beachfront property! It was our first time traveling with our pup, so we were Happy they were pet friendly. After arriving a day early, they were kind enough to accomodate us with a great room. After adding days, because we loved it so much, we were able to see a few rooms. All the rooms are nice and the beds are comfy too. Your treated like family! Would highly recommend! We will definitely be back! Thanks Everyone at Ebb Tide Resort!

My husband and I stayed recently at this beautiful oceanfront. We had a wonderful time enjoying the view each morning as we sat and drank coffee together. The rooms were clean and very cute. Everything we needed was there. The staff was awesome! If you are looking for a great place to get away and enjoy some time with the love of your life I would say...book your room now! You will love it too.

Went here for a quick weekend getaway a year ago, and had an amazing time, right on the beach, has a pool, nice hotel service, only down side was beds could have been a little more comfortable, but that didn't stop us from having a great time! :) reason I posted this is because I'm thinking of going back for another get away.

Pros - Top Notch customer service. It is an adorable property right on the beach. There is free wifi. They are pet friendly!!! Good sized flat screen tv with many channels. Clean. Cozy beds. Soft pillows. Big shower. Heated pool open 24hrs. Fenced in with code locks on gates. Shuffle board. Tiki huts to sit by pool and enjoy the breeze. Good access to wifi from outside. Still pretty slow but accessible. .5m down and .3m up from my test in the middle of day under tiki hut. Easy Parking on a road where parking seems cut throat. A stones throw from many restaurants shops the fishing pier etc. We recommend pizza at ulmertos and Thai at Talay Thai. Private beach. Buildings wrap around pool - would be fun to come back w friends and kids. Front of property is adorable. Would definitely be fun for a casual beach wedding or family reunion. Susan at front desk super sweet. Quiet peaceful. Staff was super helpful. We will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend you checking them out.

Dog tips. Don't walk on property - walk them on briny or a1a. Don't walk on beach when guard on duty. Feel free to walk them on beach after guard leaves as long as you pick up after them. Watch for sand burs. Handy showers by pool to wash them after. Onetime Pet fee I think $75. Pets under 50lbs only.

Cons - No screen on the window, which would have been nice to open the windows overnight and feel the ocean breeze instead of using ac. Rooms were relatively small. The door was sticking. Would have been nice to have a broom in the room to sweet up tile floors which get sandy quickly. The wifi is pretty slow.

Great value, true beach front, clean and comfy. Could use outdoor cooking source and perhaps a fire pit

Small mom and pop style motel, right on the beach. Great location with walking distance to beach. Room was small but relatively clean (bathroom and floors were great, doors could ve used a wipe down), bathroom was nice and updated. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. Might think about furnishing coffee and disposable cups, there was a coffee maker in room but no coffee. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It worked well for us for a quick stay!

Great place to stay.This was our first time here.We arrived a little early but Susan got us right into our room.Super clean,And great customer service.You have the beach right out your back door.And pleanty of places to eat within walking distance.

Probably wont be back..gorgeous view, clean pool, and nice beach, but the beds are terrible. Couldnt get comfortable.

Matt other friends from out of state after locals gave them a good review. Cute little mom-and-pop, appreciate that over the big conglomerates. Accommodations renovated / painted and look very nice. Pool and Beach are awesome, good security too. Already booked another stay for next month... Can't wait!

Great location. On the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. It could use some updates but rooms were clean and hosts were very accommodating. Will return next time in Pompano

Great 70s retro Motel on the ocean. Heated pool. Good shower head. Firm mattress. Clean. Could use a bit of an update? Sure but I love the Retro feel and for that price I wouldn't change a thing

Love walking outside my door at ebb tide resort and stepping into the ocean! That's right, you're that close to the ocean. Real nice place and very clean. Highly recommend

Nice cozy place, simple and with an excellent price, the beach very close, restaurant, sport bar and other accessible. You can take walks with pleasant views. I recommend it.

Great place, with amazing laid back atmosphere. The room was very neat & comfy. Quiet & very relaxing. Right behind the beach! We will definitely be coming back!

You get what you paid for right? The resort is right on the beach , the rooms and common areas are very clean no complaints - check the live cams before you go the ocean is full of seaweed due to the sargasso effect -Daytona and Miami beaches are cristal blue . I hope this helps .

This is a old style southern florida resort and it's the best in the business.

Let me start off with the fact that I usually stay at the beachcomber, which I love, whenever I visit pompano beach. However, this time, I was taking our family dog with us and this was the only place that supposedly is pet friendly. As it turns out, my husband was approached by the lady working in the front desk, a brunette, and asked to put Max, our dog, away. She claims guests next door complained of the barking at 6 AM. Little did she know, these are the same guests that were up past midnight, playing dominos, drunk, and hollering profanity and disturbing the peace of all the other guests there. My husband had to ask them to kindly keep it down after putting up with all the ruckus. My husband told her about what happened the night before and she replied, "make the best of it." Really???? WOW! Flabbergasted at her choice of words. How is that a resolution? A guest comes to you with a complaint and all you can think of is "make the best of it". Either way, we complied and left our dog alone in the room. Later that afternoon, we had some family over to celebrate my 6 year olds' birthday and apparently, all the common areas were not necessarily available for all guests. The same lady who asked my husband to put our dog away came over to me and in front of my relatives reprimanded me and told me the table we were sitting on belonged to the guests in room 16. She also said I couldn't have more than two guests over. However, nothing of the sort as far as the number of guests allowed or which tables belonged to which guests were stated in the contract, confirmation notice, nor were any signs up stating anything to this anywhere in the "resort". I have stayed in better places (real resorts) and have never had any issues of this kind. I've had people come over all the time and all common grounds are available to ALL guests. This behavior from this lady was very unprofessional and unnecessary! It was pouring down due to the storm and she said we had to leave the area and she would give us an hour for all to leave. My relatives had to leave in the middle of a downpour. She made all of us feel so uncomfortable. I was embarrassed and annoyed that this was actually happening in a so-called resort. They also make you pay in full upfront, so we were stuck there for 3 days. When my husband went to ask for a partial refund, as we were totally uncomfortable there, a different lady was there and she offered a gift card in lieu of a refund. Seriously? I wanted to leave and never come back!! Worst experience ever...and it had nothing to do with the weather but ALL to do with poor customer service. The only thing you gained were bad reviews. Beware, unless you rent the properties on the first floor facing the actual ocean, you are treated like you are a second rate guest! Not all amenities are available to all guests alike. If you own a 4 legged family member, make sure they don't bark! Apparently, it's okay to be drunk and loud into the wee hours of the night but God forbid you have a dog barking. By the way, our dog was not barking at 6 AM. My husband walked him outside of the property at that time. Max only came out again at 9AM when there were people in the pool and the rowdy guests were also up and were quick to grab the only tables that are available to everyone. They were up real early ever morning that we were there and took possession of that area. No one else had a chance in hell to get to use those tables. Anyway, check out the beachcomber a few blocks down. Better service all around.

I totally enjoyed this place. The view of the ocean from the window was soothing. Even though I had to work all week, the weekend made up for it, since I could walk out of my room and onto the beach.
The owners as well as the other guests were so welcoming. The room was not luxurious, but comfortable. If I have to go to that area again on business, I would certainly stay there again. It beats any hotel in the middle of town.

This is a step back in Time in a good way! Old world beach front. Reminds me of the place we went to as a family in St Augustine in the 70s. Pet friendly and everyone greets each other on there morning walk or evening stroll to dinner.
The kitchen is adequately equipt and the bed is comfy. Will be back for sure.

Gem of a place. Very clean.Staff was friendly.The view was beautiful. Oceanfront.Great rates.Small town feel. Within walking distance of public Park and restaurants.We will definitely make this a place we come to when we visit FL. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was the bed was really hard but I thought we would just try a different room next time. Your friends from Ohio.

PERFECT place to relax right next to the ocean! Enjoyed my relaxing vacation for 7 days at Ebb Tide Resort and I would like to let everyone know.

BEST ACCIDENT EVER! EXCEPTIONAL PRICE, COMFORT, & SERVICE! We booked this resort on accident. We thought we had selected a beachfront in Ft. Lauderdale until I received my conformation email. This was the best accident ever. The staff communicated with us the day before our arrival to make sure they had our room ready to fully accommodate us. They were very nice and professional the whole time we were there. This was our first time staying in Pompano but it definitely won't be our last. We've already made plans to bring the whole 'Green Family' with us in a few months.
