Visited the hotel as part of a package which included park tickets with my wife and daughter. The park is a very short walk from the hotel. The hotel is easy to get to by road. We were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were well equiped, spacious , clean and tidy and we had a view of the large gardens. There is a lot of outdoor play equipment and the gardens are huge, so there is plenty of room for children to safely play and explore. We didn't eat in restaurant at night but did have breakfast. There was lots of choice at breakfast and the staff coped really well with lots of children running about. Overall a great place for a family night away.

The holidays should be for the kids, right? Well, if that's your only purpose, this might be paradise for you. There's not one kid coming through these gates and meeting Thomas and his friends for the first time that won't smile from ear to ear. But for the adults? Well, the restaurant tries, but portions are small. The breakfast is an absolute shame, no cheese, ham or other spread, only jam and Nutella and a seriously disgusting rack of heated meat. The coffee is undrinkable. The rooms are worn and has no privacy. I still love the outdoors though consisting of a large playground and family seating outdoor. A short stroll and you are in Thomas Land

A very nice hotel. We've stayed in it 3 times now whilst attending events in the conference suites. Rooms are clean and well maintained with modern facilities. Breakfast is plentiful with a good choice. Didn't have a meal in restaurant so can't comment on that, although the menu looks good. Bar prices are a little steep but a decent selection available. The staff seem attentive and also seemed happy at work. Overall worth a visit.

Great place to stay for a night or two, especially woth children. Food is pretty good and there was a great guy who made balloon animals etc for kids at your table. There was also evening entertainment for the tots 9n until around 9 ish in the evening. Only issue I had was that i couldn't get any cold water through the bath tap.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The children are well thought of which was really nice. On Friday and Saturday evenings there is children's entertainment. The food in the restaurant was really nice and there is a children's train track for them to play with. The only let down was not being able to connect to the wifi but I lived without it. Would recommend this hotel and theme park to anyone x

Lovely clean hotel. Big comfy bed, nice TV and sofa. Wouldn't be upset if it was my permanent residence. Bar was reasonably priced and the food I had in the restaurant was outstanding. Very high standards, would stay here again without question.

We arrived to a unsuitable room clearly booked a triple room and had a room with two singles and a cot. But they changed us. We paid extra for a welcome pack. We had to ask for it. Which was a cause for confusion. The beds are uncomfortable. May seem like a rant but we had a really good day out in Thomas land.

I have frequented the DMP Hotel a few times now.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was to a high standard, although we only had 2 pillows in the room. 1 dou le bed and one single.
Im willing to let this slide.
Cooked breakfast was mediocre, items cooked too early in my view. Usual items. The fried eggs were freshly cooked, which was a bonus.
A good stay and the park is close by which is a real benefit for an afternoon nap.
A good stay but not as good as previous years

Worst breakfast in the world, and also they can t provide even a simple nice cup of tea. Restaurant meal was disappointing. I had to pay for cold soggy pancakes. Wouldn t it be appropriate if it was at least included in the breakfast. Overall package was extremely commercialised rather than child centred.

We hired a room of the venue for an event. The food was ok, room was nice but a very loud rattling kept coming on in the middle of the speeches like a generator coming on. So we couldn't hear anything

The room was great!!! Thomas theme room and very spacious. However... where our room was located was near the open hallway overlooking the reception desk on the ground floor.. we were located on the second floor. Kids could be heard screaming which echoed all the way up to our room. Called reception and the only thing they said was quiet hours didn't start until 10. Was not happy after a full day at the park. Putting my kids to bed at 8:30 and they had a hard one going to sleep with how noisy it was down by reception. This went on both nights of our stay. Was not happy about that at all!!!

Always love this place! Been bringing our beautiful boy on his birthday every year since he turned one. He has decided at six years old, that he is 'a big boy now' and is only interested in the drayton manor side of the park and not Thomas Land! However we will be visiting for many years to come. There's so much to see and do and it's incredible value for money. There's a wonderful 'zoo' which is the cleanest most well kept place we've seen. Once or twice we've treated ourselves and stayed in the suite which was fab and very luxurious! But generally we stay in the regular rooms. They are always clean and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Extra towels, pillows or items that have been forgotten, such as toothpaste, ladies products, pretty much anything, is happily provided. We've yet to try the Thomas land themed rooms and sadly think we've missed the boat there as our son seems to have outgrown Thomas! Highly recommend for a fab family day out no matter how old your little tearaways are!

The room was clean and spacious but had a fusty old smell to it. The kettle was also broke but the staff quickly replaced this with a new one when pointed out. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. Overall the staff were very friendly and polite hence 3 stars.

Stayed here on business. Nice hotel and we'll kept. Food in hotels restaurant was good quality but not amazing variety and priced more than local restaurants. Probably good location for park when it's running but a bit of a distance from the town to walk with no lighting or suitable paths between the hotel and town

Took my kids for a Christmas treat, stayed one night and then spent the day at Thomas' magical Christmas. We had a great time in the hotel, the room was lovely and clean and the beds really comfortable. There was kids entertainment from 6pm to 8pm and we had breakfast the following morning which was buffet style, full English, continental, toast machines and plenty of juices, tea and coffee. I would definitely go again

Good rooms. Restricted beer choice, no single malt whisky. Food wasn't great - we were a Christmas party so that does put extra pressure on. Not sure what was going on with car parking and the signage isn't great.

Stayed in family room for 1 night with my two young children (2 & 4). The room was a good size and the hotel was great for the kids with all the Thomas themed decorations. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food.
The staff at the hotel and around the park in general are a bit miserable considering where they work. But we had no reason to ask for their help with anything.
It would be good if there was a room option with a double and two twins instead of two doubles, however, we would definitely recommend and stay again.

I have read so many lovely reviews about this place so when I knew I had to stay there for a friends wedding, I didnt mind.

I arrived on the Friday 16th and the staff were friendly, helpful and was off to a great start. Then it was the small things, like having to remember your room key to use the lift, why? What was the point? Why not have a lift that operated as normal? Seems trivial but when your sorting bits and bobs this became a massive inconvenience. This also meant the people (hairdresser, makeup artist photographers) couldnt get to the room with people constantly have to run around to let them in the lift, did the staff show them to the room rather than the bridal party have to do this? No!

I booked a family room, me and my partner and our daughter. We walked into our room and it had 2 single beds and one tiny bed. The single beds werent big enough for adults to sleep in, the first night me nor my partner had any sleep because if you moved you d fall out of bed, it was extremely uncomfortable and ridiculous. There was no complementary things in the bathroom, Ive stayed in many hotels and even the basic rooms have complementary items in the bathroom! The room was small and with two adults and a child, it was a squeeze.

Saturday nights sleep was just as awful and then on Sunday morning, there were peolle running up and down the hallway passed our room at 5:30am and where were the staff? Chatting in a small room behind reception talking about their boyfriends, not going upstairs to tell these people to stop because at 5:30am, people were still sleeping!

We got up at 7am when we couldnt take it anymore, not only was this the SECOND night of no sleep on beds worse than a travelodge, but we had now been kept awake by other guests. After breakfast we returned to the room to find we couldnt get in the room. We went to reception and they had terminated the keys, when we asked why they just said Oh I dont know and then reactivated them.

Safe to say I left my review card there, I will never visit the hotel again and if I ever go to the park I will book and stay somewhere else because trust me, this hotel is not worth it.

Location is ideal for the theme park with a 2 minute walk. Staff and food were great. The kids welcome packs and breakfast with the Fat Contriller were great (Thomas rooms only). Their complimentary DVD service for the Thomas rooms are a bit worse for ware but they are free. The kids TV wasn't set up properly and had very few channels (no cbeebies or cbbc) but the kids went there to watch TV. Have stayed before in the standard rooms and can confirm it is worth paying for the bunk beds (Thomas room) as the standard sofa beds are horrible. The bathroom in room 224 could use some maintenance (cracked bath, scaled up showerhead and broken loo roll holder) Overall would recommend to anyone going to the theme park.
