The breakfast starts too late if you have an early morning, but the grounds, building and rooms are all very nice.

Looks impressive from the outside, however our room was in the dovecote a wash around the back and behind the courtyard. The room was small but functional and clean. However the little things let it down - the phone left unplugged, the headboard covered the light switch, and the light on the bathroom flickering constantly when on to name a few.
There was a wedding on which meant loud music until midnight which could be heard clearly from where we were, but was all quiet after that.
Bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower took quite a while to get a good temperature, the knob was loose which didn't help, and it did occasionally jump to very cold or hot for a second before going back to normal. The screen door also leaked and made the floor wet.
Breakfast was quite good, a good range and nice full English, would have been 3 stars but the breakfast pulled it back up to 4.
Overall a nice stay if you're just wanting a night away.
Cornita Taylor health and wellbeing that is located on the grounds of the Dovecote rear end of Castle bromwich Hall Hotel is amazing. I went there today with my mum for her birthday to have a magnesium body wrap which left me and my mum feeling energised and relaxed. Would definitely recommend.
Room was lovely and breakfast great. Staff all very helpful and as we attended a wedding there, it was lovely to see at all being handled professionally
Deny covid, keep having gatherings of over 200 people and the pure arrogance when confronted. Wouldn t spend my money here when they don t care about the health and well-being of our most vulnerable
Wow what a place service 5star. room was amazing staff very helpful and professional. Food was top class . Highly recommended
It s such a shame that I had the worst nights sleep I ve ever had here. Planes flying over and shaking the windows constantly all night, and I could hear people next door talking, had less than an hours sleep. Awful :(
Hotel looks fantastic, lovely setting which is great for day time meetings
Lovely place, clean room, good public transport connection to the city centre.
Great location for a wedding or other special event. Staff are great, everyone and everything great.
Beautiful building and surrounding gardens. Inside is a little dated in places but the rooms are comfortable and looks as though they were updated not too long ago. WiFi is also excellent here. Food is good in the restaurant, though nothing special, it's not pricey so you get what you'd expect for the price.
Nice setting although some of our guests struggled to find the right location. Something to do with the postcode being inaccurate?
Had afternoon dinner here, amazing experience and beautiful food.
We wanted to host our 2020 wedding here, civil and reception, but there was no communication what so ever. No one had the decency to get back to our phone calls. I would not trust them for my big day!! Avoid at all costs, find somewhere else to host your wedding or reception!! Awful customer service.
We had a lovely meal and the gardens are beautiful hotel is a hidden gem
Very nice place for small an medium sized occasions
A beautiful hotel. Situated in lovely grounds the food was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful well worth a visit
Fabulous food in a fabulous setting.
Atep back into bygone times in the iak panelled dining room, with silver service.
A real touch of elegance.
Staff and food matched the quality of the venue. Highly recommended.
The buildung is fantastic from the outside...then u go inside and see reception is a pig stie. Our room was dirty, stains on bed clothes, snot had been wioed on the wall and dried, it had been there awhile. Shower head was filthy, holes in walls. Staff were there to get paid rather than paid to do a job
Came here for the first time for a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. I forgot to get a picture of the rooms but the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was spectacular. There were tea making facilities which is always a plus AND an iron in the room. Each member of staff I met was extremely polite and lovely. The breakfast was top notch. It was worth every penny as the wedding I attended was absolutely amazing! The area was so picturesque, it was also very quiet too. Considering it was my first time ever in Birmingham I had a pretty lovely time! :D
A new discovery. Beautiful garden in a most unexpected place!
Very nice staff, good food at a reasonable price onlt let down wss the shower cubical leaked and there was s big hole under the sink in the wall.
Excellent service and food grounds worth visiting on their own
Food was great, room clean and warm. Room was small but modern, bathroom cold and could have done with some modernising.
All in all ok for the price.
I was at a funeral service held there. It was fantastic. The venue is brilliant. I would recommend it. The staff especially our host Jason was exceptional outstanding. Thank u for making our day so epic. The day ended with fireworks, provided by the hotel. It was the end to a perfect day. Big up to Jason and his crew. Thank u.
It's just so expensive think you would get more people in if lower the prices. Plus garden furniture needs updating. The wait for service was slow
I am so disappointed to hear that a hotel worker was sacked following yesterday's celebration of life. The music was no loud and people social distanced as required. Its just typical that because it was a black funeral there was complaints from those living in the area. To see the lies referring to it as a party disgusts me.
Attended a presentation at a conveniently located hotel near the M6 in Castle Bromwich. The presentation room was good as also was the food and service.
Beautiful house with lots of potential which sadly isn't being met.
Afternoon tea booked for 5. Staff were friendly and the grounds were lovely... would go again and value for money
The gardens is nice. Good place for weddings you can also stay overnight. Staff really friendly group. The food could be improved.
Character building, nice food, friendly helpful staff
Would never go here again, have continued to carry on holding big gatherings during the restrictions, no social distance or track and trace going on absolute joke
Room was small bed had very hard mattress glass shower door was hanging off so water went all over floor and returned to room after evening out and couldn't get in was told by night porter I wasn't in the system even after I showed him my confirmation e mail and said after he gave me another key card if my luggage wasn't in the room to let him know because they might have removed it cause I'm not on the system !! and price is too expensive for what you get NOT IMPRESSED !!!
Place has charm. Rooms are dated and can use some repairs and cleanong.
Nice place but don't go on a Groupon, get looked down on with paper napkins while the rest are linen. Makes you feel.uncomfortable. Chipped milk jug and bad marks inside cup, cannot say if everyone gets that but bad impression.
Great building, the rest is just ok, except the #MeToo situation going on, not ok.
A great place to spend a couple of hours, wonderful historic gardens, lovely ponds, an Orchard with some rare fruit trees and an inexpensive tearoom, there is a small admission charge.
Excellent service all day at the wedding.
Staff were faultless.
Brilliant venue
Very pleasant friendly staff on arrival, easy and quick to check in and out, gorgeous surroundings, beautiful scenery, idyllic gardens, food was fanatic, waiting staff extremely helpful, couldn't fault it, defiantly stay there again, they looked after everything we required.
Phoned on Monday to inquire about booking the dinning room for 60 - 70 people for a funeral and was told I would have to come and see the events organizer but she was on holiday until Saturday.
I explained that I was familiar with the lay out, that I had other options I was looking at and that I just wanted a price and availability over the phone and in the circumstances, I could not wait for nearly a week for some one to talk to.
I was told that the assistant Manager (Alex i think) was upstairs with a member of staff and unavailable, so I left a message for Him to call me back.....its Wednesday and Im still waiting.
This is so typical of Castle Bromwich Hall. Their missing such a trick here....They have a wonderful building in a great setting but the professionalism is woeful.
I have now made alternative arrangements.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Nice breakfast and close to the NEC. Enjoyed my stay.
Lovely relaxing environment for that special occasion.
Celebrating the life of Reece who's funeral is being held at the hotel.
Top marks to the device given by the management team
It is the classic case of beautiful on the outside and a completely different story on the inside. The staff were some what judgemental and came across extremely rude. We were put in a box room to start off with which had holes in the walls and the lights were falling out of the ceiling. We then moved rooms to a much nicer room but would not recommend.
Attended the wedding fayre at the weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful and put on a good show. Stunning grounds and wonderfully decorated interior. Would highly recommend.
Lovely Hotel very helpful staff on reception lovely little room with ensuite
Castle Bromwich Hall hall is a Grade I listed building and was built around 1599 for Sir Edward Devereux. The hall has 10 acres on the estate which includes formal gardens. The Castle Bromwich Hall Estate remained in the ownership of the Earl of Bradford until 1969.
The last private resident of Castle Bromwich Hall was Lady Ida Bridgeman, Dowager Countess of Bradford, who lived there from 1869 until her death in 1936. She was once 'Lady of the Bedchamber' to Queen Mary, who visited frequently.
illustrious and distinguished guests to the hall included Duke and Duchess of York (later King George V and Queen Mary), Prince and Princess Christian (Queen Victoria's grand-daughter), the Duke and Duchess of Teck (Queen Mary's parents), Prince Arthur (Queen Victoria's son)and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (another son of Queen Victoria and his wife).
Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli stayed on more than one occasion. Rumour has it he was courting Lady Chesterfield and Lady Bradford. His visits became that frequent that Castle Bromwich Post office was first to have a telephone installed outside London so Disraeli could keep abreast with the government.
What a beautiful place to stay a lovely historic looking building.
It's nice, older hotel good for business trip, when you need just place to stay for night.
Lovely looking building but very dated and needs money spent on a refurb. Disabled access isn't that good it should be in the age. New mattress in some of the rooms is a must too
We booked the garden restaurant for s diamond anniversary and service was wonderful as was food thank you
Amazingly beautiful day and evening spent here at a family wedding
Room was very small, messed about my booking telling me I could into have 1 night in a single instead of 2 nights in a double. To then change their minds a couple hours later. WiFi in my room had a speed test of 0.16mb download (that's when it even worked). Will not be going again if I can avoid it
A lovely venue great for a fancy occasion or event right in the Heart of Birmingham A beautiful building.
Friendly staff Clean fresh room God amenities lovely good food and stunning setting !
Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Good food. We will come back.
We broke down on the motorway and had to find a hotel quickly. Luckily we stumbled across Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel. We had to use the hotel as a base to sort out the car the day after our stay. The staff were very understanding and accommodating; the let us store our belongings securely after checkout and allowed us to work from the bar area. Thanks for the help!
Called in here as we were passing by on the Saturday nearest Bonfire Night last November. Decided to have a drink and watch the display. The fireworks were truly amazing probably the best and longest show I've ever seen anywhere! It was so lovely here we stayed and had a meal afterwards, the food as always was amazing, beautifully presented with great service. Thank you for a fabulous evening, next year we will stay over.
Pleasant hotel with character. Convenient toy located near the M6 and M42 you wouldn't know from the hotel itself.
Lovely place and staff are nice but charging so much for drinks is really poor, people come to celebrate a already expensive day that the bride and groom have forked out loads for and then the guests get ripped off.
We come here for a lovely drink get together
Great service made it special by doing us the honour of bringing my little boys birthday cake out
Thank you
5*
Very nice. picture on the wall people eyes look real. Spooky
Excellent stay when I stayed for Business. Comfortable stay and nice surroundings.
Very nice for a special treat I won't go there very often.
Great old hotel would stay again full English breakfast was bang on
Received a guided tour around the hotel their facilities and gardens what a wonderful hotel
Stephen
Nice quiet spot in Castle Bromwich - only had drinks. Would like to stay overnight.
