For as much as my room was, i thought it could have been more clean. Lots of dust on places you cant easily reach. Loud HVAC system also. Grout pieces missing from tub and loose fixtures. Really though I was just there to sleep for a work event, not like a vacation, but again my room could have been a bit more well maintained for the price. Staff very friendly and helpful though.

Arrived late due to a badly delayed flight and didn't receive any cookies which was a shame because theres no food available after 11pm. Went to bed hungry. Shower head was messed up leaking a stream of cool water out the side on me. Taking a hot shower set off the smoke alarm. Half of the TV channels were fuzzy. Paid for the expensive parking but my room key was never activated for the parking garage. Luckily the attendant was there to let me in and out. Even with expensive parking the first sign you see in the garage is that the hotel is not responsive for theft or damage to your car. Nice. Will definitely book elsewhere next time.

Stayed as an overnight guest and attended a conference located on site. Room was very nice and conference facilities were excellent. Staff was very helpful and professional. Overall I have had an extremely positive experience.

This hotel sucks. Tiny rooms, loud A/C units. The staff seems friendly but never filled a simple request for a new do not disturb sign. Bathrooms don't have fans venting. No extra amenities. In 2018 this hotel is a joke. Smallest hotel room I've ever had in my life and I've traveled a lot. Not worth $180 more like $80 a night

I don't know what room these people that say "spacious" had but it certainly wasn't mine. Third floor. I would estimate maybe this room is 12x12

Good value. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms are a bit dated but large. Shower pressure is low. Disappointing service. Room did not come with fridge. Asked to have complimentary bar fridge in room at check-in around 4pm. After 2 requests fridge came past 8pm. Discovered fridge not working in the morning so phoned front desk. Front desk and said it would be replaced, but never followed through.

Nice place fantastic location as far as getting around town staff very friendly very nice. After a long day of running around Portland I returned back to our room to a delightful surprise. I sleep with stuffed animals to help with snoring, the maid had made the bed and had my squishies waiting for me.

Probably one of the cheaper nicer hotels within the downtown area. They do try to nickle and dime you and some of the little things. Parking, breakfast, toiletries, and Wifi are all extra. A boutique hotel this is not, but a good value hotel to send the parents when they are in town visiting.

My boyfriend and I were in Portland last weekend and stayed two nights at the Double Tree. We had such a great time!!
Pros: Hotel was beautiful. The outdoor pool was great. Awesome location - very convenient ($8 cab to downtown, 1 block from trolly/train stop and a 6 minute walk to Moda Centre) Service was friendly. We were really impressed!! The hotel gave us wrong directions (causing us to be late for a comedy show we were seeing) and they gave us a free buffet breakfast to apologize which was appreciated.
Cons: No hot tub, small room, no mini fridge in room.

I would definitely recommend this hotel! :)

Nice

This Hotel is not compared great to a lot of hotels including a lot of H.I. Express' I have stayed out throughout the country and other hotels.

They made my coworker who is retired wait 4 hours at the front desk to check in because my plane was delayed in Chicago and I could not help him. Our boss sent them the paperwork so my coworker can get a room before I get there and gave his very own personal credit card so meals and the room will be taken care of. I get there not knowing what is going on, right away they wanted my credit card. They were told hours before I got there that the card on file was to be used. They not only took my card but were going to put my meals on that too.

My coworker finally met me and told me, no they should not be taking your card, they are supposed to be taking our boss's card. So I fixed that. Then we find out they still charged my coworkers card for the meal he had while waiting for me and not the card they were supposed to put on and he was very upset. Then she tells us because of our special rate for working the show we are going to be at they have to check us out Friday, check us back in and check us out Sunday and check us back in for the different rates and charge the credit card 3 $50 Deposits. The woman at the desk said there is no provision for meals, and my coworker said yes there was by the paperwork that was faxed in hours before I got there. She then said that must be the paperwork on the desk in the back. Grrrrr. My grumpy coworker was ready to walk out and I stopped him. I said there should not be a problem with our keys then if you are checking us out and in, right? She said she will put that into the system.

I get my room and it was very small and stuffy. No microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom had no bathtub either. The room seemed clean. When I went to bed it got very hot in the room and I had it set at 65 degrees and it felt like 80. The front desk told me 4 AM in the morning that they could do nothing just bear with it until a maintenance guy comes later in the morning. My sheets were soaked with sweat when I woke up. I used the shower and the shower head was broken. You think the maid would have noticed? I had to go out that morning and when I came out they told me the AC was fixed and it wasn't. They told me the only thing they can do is send the guy to my room again, not even offer me another room. I had to request that. There are two towers in that Hotel, the small ones for the poor business people like myself and the nicer rooms in the other tower with the balconies. They should have put me there!

My new room was a little different then the first but it was ok. There was a feces stain on the outside of the toilet seat I stayed away from for 3 days and Housekeeping didn't bother either.... eeewww! They didn't even replace the bag for dry cleaning from the last person in 833.

Sunday when I got back to my room, my key would not work and I had to waste time to go downstairs for them to fix, even though they told me I would have nothing to worry about. My coworker told me it happened to him on Friday after we set up.

This hotel needs a look at my upper management. I hated it!

The carpet had pistachio shells, leaves, thread and other food crumbs all about room. Surfaces including tub, toilet, sink desk and dressers had food particles, dust and portions of food wrappers left on them. Used bar of soap in restroom, bath tissue in tub, used washcloth in restroom. Fried chicken and other trash in wastebasket. In short the only housekeeping done was the bed had been made, but so poorly i had to remake it. The front desk made an excuse about having 400+ rooms that vacuuming does not happen daily. Over $200 for a one night stay in a filthly room. Guest services was requested they have not yet arrived and i just want to go to bed.

It was a pleasure to hold my event at the Doubletree in Portland at Lloyd Center. The event space was perfect for my needs, affordable and top notch in excellence. I would definitely come back to the Doubletree Portland and use their facilities for my next event. Thank you very much to the professional staff!

It's a great location next to the train, convention center, rooms can use an upgrade. Otherwise the bed is comfortable and people are friendly. Parking is expensive

The double tree stand Loyd center is a hotel I stay at once a year in alignment with the Seattle to Portland bike ride. While I always have great things to say about the cleanliness, staff friendliness and overall comfort, my biggest complaint is the prices on food. $6 for a glass of milk or coffee. Breakfast was in the mid to high teens. Dinner options were all market price, including a simple pasta. Exploring the culinary bounty in Portland is a worth while alternative, but early in the morning it would be nice to get a couple cups of coffee and a muffin for less than $20. Come on now.

I was there for a conference. The room adequate. Parking was not included and was obscenely priced. Restaurant staff very clearly not told we would be there (that there was a potential they would have a big lunch run) but the recovered for the surprise admirably and handled the hurried crowd like a boss!

I have stayed at this hotel for a similar event and visited for just a day this time. I've never had an issue at this hotel! It's always been clean and presentable and the staff have always been kind and helpful.

First of all I am a gold member of Hilton and have stayed at a lot of their properties. This one takes the prize for the worst hotel they own. We booked a king and received a two double bed reservation. Then we received an email asking if we would like to upgrade for over $500 for our 3 day stay. We went for it because of poor reviews of the rooms on line. We received our confirmation they had received our request. When we arrived they had given away all the rooms that qualified but they could get us a king bed. When we arrived to the room, it RANKED of smoke ( a non smoking hotel)and again there were two double beds. I am highly allergic and Hilton knows this on our records when booking. She quickly gave us a different room one floor down and it again had two double beds, dirty bathroom, and the chair smelled of smoke but we went with it because of fatigue from a long travel day. Sheets were stained and the sound of the planes (actually the electric train at the corner)boomed all night coming and going. No valet to help carry our luggage to the room nor the food a very good quality in the bar area. The hotel decor is outdated and in many cases are worn out or smoke riddled. No actual restaurant and the area outside the hotel is undesirable. I did not feel safe outside. It is far enough away from the convention center you have to take the bus line to get there or it is long walk and I don't recommend it. A band was in the park across the street and also became a noise nuisance during the day attracting a less than desirable crowd. This is not the best part of town and NOT the best Hilton property for the price for sure. Look elsewhere. I am done with Hilton properties, after 8 years a member. Not worth it.

This DoubleTree hotel is in a convenient location close to shopping. It also has a lot of meeting rooms ballrooms and places for your business meetings or more.
However I feel the room are somewhat small. Ifeel decor is somewhat dated. Since the hotel was originally built in the 70s. My room was a queen bedroom overlooking City. It was a very small room with a TV, nightstands, and a dresser. The beds are very plain and no real bedspread.
One of the main things that I do not like is cost to park your car is $27, even if you're staying at the hotel.

We went for a special dinner. If you want vegetarian food, skip this place. Our dinner was barely cooked hard vegetables on a plate of salad! Apparently they don't know that pasta, rice or many other items could make a pleasant dinner.

Great amenities, everything was awesome. The cookies were tasty as always. Elevators were stylish and fast, and it wouldn't take long to catch one despite the large number of guests. The rooms were nice and well kept.

Parking garage sucks.if you ain't early certanly you wont be on time an if you leaving pick up a soda on way out because you'll be bumper to bumper tell you get to entrance. Bring somebody else, people are are just to worried about them selves to let you out of your parking spot.(To stop trafic :)!).

Great hotel conveniently located in the center of Portland. Friendly front desk stafst, well layed-out rooms, and clean and odorless white sheets were standard. Great happy hour at the bar and delicious breakfast buffet were surprising.
Rates for the rooms were fair and downright a bargain if bought on a particular online bidding website.
