Super clean rooms. Nice balcony makes is for me though.
The staff were wonderful - very friendly I'd give them 5 stars. The lobby and little restaurant/bar area was nice - quick service and friendly. The first impression of my floor was that the carpet/hallway could use a good vacuum. I thought that maybe it was because it was the end of the day. I noticed that the same dried-up fruit (or jerky?) that was on the floor of my room (when I checked in) and other minor debris was there throughout my visit (5+ days). I'm not generally a check-for/monitor-cleanliness-on-the-daily kind of person, but my first impression made me more aware of it. So, friendly staff... eh on the cleaning. I'd give that 3 stars. As a nurse, that's an especially hard one to not comment on.
Jim at the front desk area was kind enough to get me a cookie and a cup of hot water (for oatmeal/tea). He did that without my asking. He's just one of the nice staff members.
First I need to give credit where it is due; Beautiful hotel and wonderful, extremely friendly staff, plus it has convenient coffee shop, bar and snacks in the lobby. The hotel was extremely clean. The biggest issue I had was that I wish the location was different. I did not feel very safe outside the hotel (this of course is not the hotel that is at fault for that though). If you happen to have a pet which is awesome that they allow (with an extra fee of course), there is no good areas for them outside of the hotel, I guess if you have a kenneled or pad trained dog then it's good, but not great if your dog is outdoor trained. The room was waaay smaller than I expected, even for a standard room. It was difficult to even get into the bathroom because the toilet blocked the door so I sort of had to do some gymnastics to get into the bathroom. The hotel set up overall was confusing. Lastly, the parking fee was a little ridiculous. The hotel is not responsible for any damage to your car or belongings while you are there (per the dozens of signs) but you're also paying $27 extra per a night just to park there... I know it's Portland and maybe I'm small town griping, but I did stay the next couple nights at another hotel that offered free parking, and when you're paying well over $100 per night for a room already, I feel like they could lighten up on the parking fees... Overall though, I actually enjoyed my stay and for a last minute booking, it wasn't a bad choice.
If you're looking for a place to host a convention or a special banquet, this is the place in Portland, Oregon to book. You'll find the staff here to be very accommodating.
Good meeting space. The coffee stand had slow service.
Great service n staff !!! 5 star. Nice room. Thanks
Excellent customer service. Every one was very friendly and accommodating. Ability to choose room on Hilton app is way cool, and I used my phone to open my door! No more fumbling for key cards. The place does feel old and dated. Furniture looked worn, bathroom is extremely small, can't sit on the toilet without sticking my legs sideways or outside the bathroom. But 5 stars for customer service. When I checked out, the representative even offered me warm cookies, I asked for a couple and got 2
Hands down the best customer experience I ve ever had at a guest accommodation. Nothing was too much for the entire team who are sincere in their desire to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Decor a touch dated now but that didn t matter as was made to feel so welcome I didn t want to leave!
Rooms are getting a little dated. Close to lloyd center and ice rink food is good staff friendly and helpful.
A good place muya. Cozy for a good rest. Good. Nights Friends
I was there for the NW Food and Wine Festival. The food and wine were amazing however it was very crowded, it was hard to move around at times and became very hot in there. The event needs to get a bigger venue next time.
I have never been to this Hotel before but that very brief visit for a business conference left such an impact I KNOW I am going to return for a personal stay. They staff were unbelievely friendly and the lobby just left you in awe!
Just dropped in to register for a conference at the Conference Center. Quite a line, but that's not the hotel's fault .
Great breakfast at the restaurant with good service. Also has a nice bar to unwind in and is relatively updated.
Staying in the hotel in attendance of a conference. Conference was catered by the hotel kitchen and the food was excellent.
Was a vendor at an event and had a good experience using the hotel's event space. Was roomy, heated and not echoey for being a concrete room. Would highly recommend for events.
Spent the day in the executive conference area. Attentive service, a wide selection of snacks and drinks, continental breakfast, and a very good buffet lunch. This is a great place for an all-day meeting.
From the moment you walk in the door the hotel staff is attentive, kind, and interesting! I can tell you the name of the very first person who ever checked me in at this hotel over 4 years ago. They are that amazing. (My memory is not. :) ) They are an older hotel but in a great location next to the max and i find walking from here to do and eat. Again I thank them for a great experience!
I work near and we use this hotel for monthly meetings and trainings. Banquet rooms are well kept even if slightly dated. It's very beneficial to us that you can join so many of them together. I've never stayed in any of the rooms but the staff is always nice to us.
Excellent service! Wonderful room. Well worth being a HH honor menber.
Wonderful Host's to the World's Parkinson's Conference & National Parkinson's Caregivers Conference.
Parking was full by 9am, another garage nearby had all day for 12 dollars though so it wasn't too bad. There weren't enough tables or chairs for the conference so like ten of us had to sit on the floor
Beds are soft (not really a fan) but the concierge service is fast and friendly. Also wish a mini fridge was available in our room.
Awesome management, enjoyed the room and parking was convenient and easy to use. Appreciated the service from the staff and housekeeping were excellent. Michael at the bell stand was extremely helpful and helped make our trip great with excellent recommendations and general assistance.
Lovely accommodations. Comfortable beds and the cookies, as always, were excellent. Soft beds, responsive staff.
I didn't stay in a room, just attended an event. The carpet in the event hall was dirty and there was mold around the windows. Luckily, I wasn't there for an extended amount of time.
Nice separately organized space with lots of customization that Can be done
Very nice room and in great area. Cookies are a nice perk as well.
Very nice lobby and conference center. I have not been in the rooms but it's very classy but comfortable in the lobby and lounge areas.
The hotel is dated and the rooms are just okay. You can easily hear nosies in the hall and your neighbors talking. The staff is very friendly but I expect more for the price I paid
Parking was expensive and staff didn't know where specific conference rooms were.
It was a great experience. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. No complaints
Centrally located, super friendly staff,on the max line. Rooms were comfy and clean. Would stay again.
Great location and friendly and accommodating staff
Bed was great. Pool was closed and it was a reason I chose the hotel. Very convenient to train and convention center.
The room needed to be cleaned and updated. Otherwise it was fine
Pretty clean hotel with nice service. Not much immediately around the hotel for dining and entertainment.
The food here is fantastic. I appreciate how clean the bathroom and meeting room is (Washington room). The rest room has some weird sink in it that I'm wondering why they've left in place, but otherwise, great meeting spot.
The convention and wedding patrons take away from this otherwise nice property. 4 star hotel. Three star clientele
OK. ..not in the best condition elevators are spontaneous or best location for brew pub access but was clean...bed was comfortable which is the most important item at a hotel.
Excellent property with secured parking garage and valet. Highly recommend!
Hotel is right next to a nice park and is in a walkable area that is not far from downtown. The hotel is modern and feels more like a full Hilton than a double tree. Stayed here 1 night.
when my grandmother stayed here I was very happy with how they treated her and the level of service she recived
Hotel was fine and clean, but man oh man was there some weird stuff going on. The toilet handle was messed up but they fixed it the morning I left, so that's not so bad I guess. However, the 7am or so crazyness really messed me up. There were the oddest sounds coming from the side of the room near the windows, and I guess it may have just been the building expanding in the morning sun/heat, but Jesus was it annoying. It was so loud I couldn't sleep and it kinda was the sound of ghosts trying to make us leave. It went on for hours. I recorded it, so email me if you want to hear it too.
Fantastic location right next to the metro transit and the park. Central to a lot of restaurants. Only downside is 7 floor Wi-Fi was atrocious with no ethernet capability
The majority of the staff here has been great! The place is clean. For the price the rooms should be bigger and more updated. There should absolutely be free internet.
The staff was very nice and helpful, but they charged for everything. You have to be an honors member for their wifi and there was no fridge or microwave in the room.
Located in the center of Portland. Many restaurants nearby. The rooms have excellent views, very friendly service
Stay was fantastic! Loved the warm cookies and the quick room service! Beds were extremely comfortable. Didn't like that there was no mini fridge, had to turn our sink into a ice chest.
we stayed at this Hotel the night of August 8th room 817 check-in was great the room was very noisy people in the room above were running and jumping taking showers at 2:00AM very toilet or water turned in any room around us was like it was in our room.
At check-out the clerk was very short and asked if a recipe by email was ok..I said yes. It is now August 18th and I have not got anything from them
This seems to be a corporate hotel and more concerned about the business customer but should treat travelers with the same respect
my biggest complaint was the way I was treated at check0out...I would love to get my recipet to really see what the chargers were Moreover I will never stay here again.
Big family room with thick walls :) grey neighborhood but 10 minutes from downtown. parking and breakfast in extra.
Room very clean. All the staff were smiling. Had dinner at Gather, in the hotel. Food was cooked to perfection. Garth was our server. He was amazing. He kept our water glasses filled and made sure we had fun enjoyable end to our crazy day. We will stay here again. And the warm chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch.
They're working on updating it, but the hotel is VERY dated. Avoid the elevator in the parking garage, it smells like rotten sewage.
okay so this was a hotel that was okay.. don't believe what the pool looks like by that picture..my toilet didn't work very well it kept getting stuck where I had to take the top of the lid off to get it to stop running water.. my coffee machine in my room did not work so I had to go down and buy some coffee.. overall they were nice people but the room wasn't what I thought I was going to be
There's no other place in such a good location that will offer you such a large suit for such a price. We love Lombardy and stay here again and again. Stuff is always very helpful, friendly and accommodating and they do their best to solve any questions or even just help with random stuff. Same time you don't feel like they're intrusive or don't give you enough privacy, which I greatly appreciate. Rooms are very different in this hotel and we've seen a lot of them - it worth to pay extra for the updated bathroom/newer room and truly enjoy your stay, because they will have enough room not only to sleep, but also to chill and meet friends for a drink. Updated room are greatLittle kitchenettes and laundry are a nice addition as well, especially if you stay 4-5 days.
Its a big chain hotel, popular with conventions, and located in the dismal, architecturally depressing Lloyd District. Try one of Portland's many widely known boutique hotels instead for an authentic experience. It may be slightly pricier but you'll be impressed no matter which one you choose.
Customer Service was EXCELLENT!!!! Jessica at the front desk does awesome!! Paula seems nice. I would definitely stay here if I ever go to Portland!!!
When we arrived for our stay the room we were given was dirty and smelled heavily of pot. When we brought it up to customer service we were moved to another room. That room was dirtier and smelled musty. There was food or something crusty on the curtains, the end table was covered in water marks and finger prints. There was some smear on the wall as well. Our friends' room was dirty as well. At check out we brought it up to the manager and was mildly compensated. Overall it was a place to rest, however it wasn't the best place.
Close to the Mall. Walking distance to everything you need
Staff is friendly and very helpful! Several groups staying for one conference or another and service was impeccable!
DoubleTree hotel is a great place to stay when your in Portland. Clean with great customer service. I highly recommend.
If you expect to have water flowing from the shower head that you can actually shower and get the soap off of you then don't stay here. Unbelievable how bad the sink was and the shower. As a woman if the water barely comes out of the shower head trying to get the soap out of your hair takes forever. It not only was bad to start but throughout the shower the water pressure even go worse. Soaping yourself is dangerous because the soap is in the tub without enough water to rinse it off of you AND to rinse out the tub. I had guests over that left crumbs on a Wednesday night and the housekeepers NEVER vacuumed my room I left on Sunday and they were still there. Started on Wednesday with 3 towels, then by Friday its was 2 towels and the Saturday housekeepers decided to leave me with only 1 towel. Here is the reason it makes it worse I was on a Hilton Honors floor because indeed I stay in Hilton properties all of the time. Did I report the water issue, yes, did they fix it NO. Did I call for towels yes should I have to do that? Would I stay at this property again NO.
