Second Stay:
I have down rated my review of this hotel for several reasons. First, the front desk must have fired, or ran off, the reception staff that was here the first time I stayed here. The person at the front desk was rude and snapped at me - not what I have grown accustom to as someone who stays at Hilton family hotels frequently and has the highest level of reward status possible. Following that, the room I stayed in was simply not up to par. I don't care that I wasn't upgraded (the hotel is booked, and I don't expect to be upgraded all the time), but even for a standard room, the quality was below expectations. Everything in the room, starting with the front door, felt like it was going to fall apart at a moments notice. Indeed, the door itself literally had a piece at the base of it falling off. I will concede, however, that I didn't not call the front desk, so I don't know if any attempt to fix it will be made. My final issue is with the staff at the hotel bar and restaurant. Unlike the first time I stayed here, they were unsociable, and more importantly, could not keep track of what their customers needed. For example, I waited a solid 10 - 15 minutes (which is a long time when you're sitting at a bar by yourself), for a bartender to ask me if I wanted another drink. In fact, the bartender disappeared for about 10 minutes or so. I'm not sure if she was taking a smoke break or what, but the waitress she had filling in was, quite frankly, incompetent. Because of these issues, I have removed two of my five stars from the review, which I feel is still generous. Were this my first time staying at this hotel, I would not return. However, given another opportunity I will offer the hotel a chance to redeem itself, and if it meets my expectations, I will restore the two stars and subsequently delete this portion of the review.

First Stay:
Very impressed with everything. The front desk upgraded my room to a very nice room, and gave me extra cookies! The bar staff were great and sociable, which is something I value in my bartenders. I had good beer and a great room. No complaints here. This lived up to every expectation of a Hilton hotel.

The interior of the hotel is outdated and shabby for the price of the room. Bathroom had yellow water dripping from the ceiling access panel above. Had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Been on the phone twice now with customer service for 20 minutes each after having been promised a full refund for the room, but two weeks later, nothing has been done.

Wow, what a terrible experience. I stayed here while on a business trip. BAD IDEA. They do not cater to travelers, they cater to vacationers on a budget. The room is by far the darkest room I've ever stayed in, count the lights, there are literally more lights in the bathroom then the entire room combined. I'm writing this review at 11:53 PM because there are parties all around. I called the front desk and they said they would handle it, 20 minutes later I called again and they hung up on me. It was a greater priority to cater to the parties than to the business travelers. Don't even get me started on the parking garage and the 3x5 card they call a parking sign. Morning coffee is $5 unlike every other hotel in the city that offers free coffee for guests. No microwave (again, not here to cater to business travelers). I asked why there were so many issues here and they said they hear about the complaints all the time but apparently, the manager refuses to address them beyond fake apology responses online. Anyways, don't bother calling the front desk, they will literally hang up on you. Oh, and apparently the manager is too good to work weekends according to the staff. Apparently, the problems are deeper than the guest experience.

Nice lobby gives you an invalid expectation of what the rooms are going to look like. Was a disappointment when i got into mine. Breakfast buffet cost a huge 17.50, and didnt even look like there was a lot to choose from. Probably choose somewhere else if i ever come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree in Omaha. Check in was a breeze and the warm cookies were a big hit with my kids. Our room was large and fit our family great. We found leftover food in our fridge but the staff was quick to remedy the situation and as an added bonus they gave us a dinning credit for breakfast the next day. We stopped by the pool which was refreshing on a warm day and slept great in the huge, comfortable beds. The best part, by far, was breakfast and the friendly staff! If you have kids I would highly recommend stopping by as the meals were enormous. It was a great way to start a full day on the road!

The staff is great, the food is great. There are some good views on the south side, which is also the entrance side to the hotel. The only downside that day was the pool was closed for repairs. Otherwise, things flowed smoothly.

've never been so frustrated with a hotel before! It was VERY expensive. I stayed there 3 nights because I attended a workshop on the 19th floor through PESI. There was no continental breakfast. Actually they had a "breakfast buffet" that was really a continental breakfast but it cost $18. So each morning I bought a plain coffee and banana at their Starbucks for over $5. The rooms are dated and not that nice. Not even a mini fridge and the room was extremely hot with no way to turn down the heat. But the thing that annoyed me the most was they refuses to validate the parking that was in the parking garage right next to the hotel entrance so that was an additional $30! I got different answers as to why. One seemed to be because I had booked through Expedia. My coworker stayed at a newer hotel 3 minutes away. It was cheaper, nicer, and had a free breakfast. I wish I would have stayed there. This place seemed to be money hungry and not at all customer focused. I will be contacting PESI to recommend they not use The Doubletree for trainings in the future. I've never been so angry about a hotel stay!

I travel most of the year for work and always stay in Hilton hotels. Most are at least half way decent, but I will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel was old and felt dirty. The room was large, but was completely bare of furniture. I should also mention that they did not have wireless in my room. That is something that, as a business traveler, I have to have. The only upside was the location. It is convenient if you have to be in down town Omaha. I personally think it s worth the walk to stay somewhere else.

Terrific hotel, front desk staff excellent, comfortable and quiet rooms. Breakfast buffet outstanding. Perfect location for shopping and eating at Old Town and for attending performances at the Orpheum.

After spending the day out in the freezing cold at the game and shopping. I was very disappointed to return at 9:30 pm to find our room was not serviced. We were given a few new big towels, no wash rags or bath Matt. Dirty wash rags were left in the shower. Our bed was unmade. When I called the desk they said we ve had issues the past few days with housekeeping, do you want me to send someone to make the bed? Why on earth at this hour would I want our bed made? If you know you have issues fix it. It s not my problem as a paying guest. We travel a lot and there are plenty of hotels to pick from. We will not book here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located downtown. The workout room is new and has free weights as well as the usual cardio equipment. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I had gone to the Starbucks in the lobby to buy a coffee (there was only decaf provided in my room). I mentioned that my room only had decaf, the barista insisted that I take the coffee at no charge!

Warm cookies were a pleasant surprise. Allowed me to plug in my car in the parking ramp. Room was nice and good soundproofing between rooms. Didn't hear a thing all night. Comfortable bedding and great views of Omaha. Location downtown was very confident for going to the old market and riverfront areas.

I was startled to find no microwave in my room. A quick call to the lobby and instead of telling me the microwave is in the convenience store THEY WERE SENDING ONE TO MY ROOM. Excellent service. Kind of pricey room service but that is expected

Beds are nice. Staff is friendly and polite. The bicycle "rental" for use is an amazing amenity. Ran out of refrigerators (which for flight crew on day 2 of 4 means I had to throw out 2 days worth of prepared food). WiFi signal strength was below 50% according to multiple devices, and consequently had less-than-stellar connectivity and performance.

I was not very satisfied with my stay. The rooms were a bit akward as if it use to be a meeting room with 2 queen size beds in the middle of the room. No fridge or microwave in the room. They did attend to my needs and got me a fridge and microwave.

The price is pretty steep for the room you get. Nice view and you're definitely paying for the location. No microwave or fridge in the room... what? And you have to pay a 50 dollar extra fee, AND pay for parking. Save the money, stay somewhere else.

Service excellent at check in, could tell older hotel by hallways, but rooms were clean, smelled fresh. Good breakfast in morning. Good deal on price, shuttle driver friendly. Not a lavish stay, pool under construction, but excellent deal for $$$ spent.

We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary with the Doubletree downtown in Omaha. The shuttle took us everywhere within 5 miles with great service from Keith. We went for breakfast and I asked Peyton to help slip my wife and anniversary gift. When she delivered our bill, she had written a note wishing us a Happy Anniversary and she had paid our bill. My wife and I had tears, this was the first time we gone out for about 4 years. Plus the last 2 years of fighting cancer, we were blown away by the friendly, warm customer service we received. God Bless you all for your hospitality!

The hotel was amazing. Very clean, very spacious, rooms were very nice. The staff was great, and exceedingly helpful especially during a rather stressful and confusing time. For such a large hotel, they seemed to be a little short staffed so it took a little bit to get a few things, like a crib for my youngest, but they handled it incredibly well. All that we encountered were incredibly friendly.

We were surprised to learn that the usual continental breakfast was not included in our stay. The kids were excited to use the pool but after we checked in and decided to go for a swim, we found out that the pool was being renovated. Nobody at the check in counter let us know that and it was not even mentioned on their website! As we entered our room, the toilet was running and my husband attached the chain in the tank. The pillows were half the size of the usual pillows which was strange. There were only 2 towels in our room which we booked for 4 people. I gave the hotel 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff were kind, the tv and air conditioning worked.

Great location in the heart of downtown Omaha. Hotel desperately could use renovation, although the room was comfortable enough. Tiny bathroom. Decent gym. I wish they would put receipts under the door.

Downtown Omaha property in very good condition. Rooms are clean and housekeeping does a great job. Full restaurant, ballroom, and a pool. Close proximity to Creighton University campus and TD Ameritrade Park. Complimentary shuttle to/from the airport.

A little trashy at the curb and you don't have control of the temperature in your room. Nice thing is the location. Many places, attractions and eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Blue sushi is where I ordered from and it was deliciously outstanding and creative!

I m not sure what the fuss is about with these past reviews, but I booked a room at this hotel last minute on a Friday night. The staff was friendly & accommodating, and the room was clean & proper. Asked for a microwave sometime after midnight, and they brought it right up. The air conditioning worked, and overall we had a great visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Not very clean. There was a chicken bone on the floor beside the bed, pubic hair in the bed and clothes from previous guest left over the shower. I would assume the cleaning of this hotel is sub par. Would not recommend to stay.
