The hotel is nice. the people working there are very very nice and very helpful. The location is perfect; in the middle of everything. They have breakfast buffet (not just continental). Rooms are small (which is (and like the) normal in London). The hotel concierge has good deals with most attractions. lots of shopping and restaurants close by. I would recommend.

Staff were very direct upon check-in and quite rude. The fixtures in the room were loose and it was very small. Apart from the good location it is definitely not worth it for the price paid.

So far awful. Came here for our honeymoon. Flight came in on 7am flight checked in by 9 and was told our room would be ready by 1. Still sitting here at 2 waiting. Nodding off in the lobby while other ppl get their rooms in front of us. Almost in tears. Not a great start to our honeymoon.

Good location near to major attractions such as British Museum as well as underground stations such as Holborn and Russell Square stations. Newly renovated rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Great hotel and comfortable.. downside was that we were not told to wait to be seated four breakfast and got "told off" for walking through.. a sign is needed.. please wait here to be seated. That is the only thing I would suggest would make it a nicer stay.

Do not stay at this hotel, constant construction work causing alot of noise , construction staff of Fileturn are rude and make racist comments, they look in through windows. People who are staying at this hotel during construction are suffering at spoke to residents who are suffering from this construction company Fileturn and also the scaffolding company DWG scaffolding staff are rude and foul mouthed. This is effecting this hotel. A shame that they use such unprofessional companies to renovate the hotel .

Walking distance to public transportation. Rooms are your very well known Double Tree. And yes here too, you receive a cookie upon check-in. The downside is that the staff is very rude. No customer service. Once I was okay. Twice, I thought: "He is having a bad day". But three times in less than 72 hours?. Now that is ridiculous. Staff makes you fell like they are doing you a favor. There are plenty of other option within the Brand. Hilton Hotels is amazing. Sad that the staff at this location made me rethink my overall loyalty to this brand. :(

Overall a nice stay. Started out very poor. Checked in late after a transatlantic flight, told I was going to be in a single room when I booked double. Water leak. Then I needed to move next day. Received discount on 1st night. They moved my packed bags for me next day and room was excellent. Pictures show both rooms.

Great Warm Staff. We stayed a total of 9 nights with the hotel and we were truly impressed with the service level of the staff from Front Office to Concierge to restaurant. They were all very warm and friendly and treated you as friends. I would like to place special thanks to Victor Benjamin and Hamid (Concierge team) and Ausra the affably waitress at the breakfast table. Ausra is able to remember all her guests preferences from coffee/tea to preparation of eggs. She noticed that I caught a cold and prepared for me Lemon and Ginger Tea. This are the little extras that goes a very long way.

Not the greatest experience at all. We had a "Premium Room" from 25 Dec - 30 Dec 2018. It was awful and smelt like a wet dog.
The passageway outside the room was worse and must have had some kind of damp problem, with a smell so terrible sometimes - we gagged walking to our door.
The exit at the end of the passage seemingly was boarded up with bits of cardboard etc and just looked tacky.
In all, the damp and generally what felt like uncleanness lead to feeling ill the whole stay and needing to take medication for allergies (in London, in winter).

Small single room with a mattress that really needs changed. Thermostat didn't work on the shower either. Mentioned to the receptionist on check out but got the impression he didn't really care. Lot of money for not a lot of room.

Really good location, clean and nice room. Only problem was the towel heater seemed broken, with wires exposed. Also, there was a sign to use the anti-slipping mat in the bath but no mat was available in the room.

Heater does not work, so bring radiator. There is no bathtub in the bathroom.

Updated hotel with great staff. The rooms vary according to your accommodation but the hotel overall is updated and a nice place to stay. The internet service is reasonable. The hotel however does leave a lot to be desired in terms of a fitness center. It's location is very convenient to many different attractions and modes of transportation. I'd recommend a stay here if you are on business in the area.

Beautiful hotel in Fantastic central location... friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful large Lounge at ground level in which to relax and have drinks and snacks brought to one. Beautiful breakfast served in the basement level restaurant with a huge choice of hot and cold and very good coffee. Rooms were clean and well furnished if a little on the small side and my only problem was with the air conditioning which blew into my eyes if it was on but when switched off the room became unbearably hot... but we were experiencing a heatwave and I'm sure there could be finer adjustments made to it. On the whole I really enjoyed my experience of staying there

The hotel and staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are a bit hit or miss. The first room I had was comfortable and had a nice shower. The second room I had was TINY, that is not desirable but tolerable. What really wasn't was the shower. I'm not a big person and it felt barely wide enough to fit comfortably. There is no full shower enclosure so the floor had a puddle of water which is never fun. The shower head was pretty bad too. All in all not a bad hotel but a pretty key area was mediocre at best.

Stayed in this hotel for one night.
Room was ok, bed quite comfy, all clean.
However next morning, even if I waited for 20 min there was no hot water.
Since I had to leave early to catch the train, I had no time to call for service.
While checking out I have informed front desk that there was no hot water and I was not able to shower.
There was no apology (or compensation???), just that he will inform handy man to check on that!
