The amount of pink and bubbly items in this place ...

The amount of pink and bubbly items in this place is enough to make a grown man cringe, divorce his wife, sell his house, listen to an album by Prince, and take a bath in the cleansing waters of Lake Minnatonka. This is a bachelorette party/tourist trap of the highest order. My wife and I did the upgraded "still" tasting; were not impressed. I did LOL hard at the staff member who suggested that I elbow the guy on crutches so that we could get a spot at the tasting bar since "he probably wouldn't be able to fight back." For this moment of levity, I decided to add an additional star to my 1-star review.

My first visit to wine country was enhanced by our three visits to Domaine Chandon. We just could not stay away from this glorious spot! Everything is perfection. The property is immaculate, both inside and out. Rarely have I experienced such first class service. Naming names, our server, Debbie Dean, was knowledgeable, personal, and gracious. Debbie is a veteran employee of 17 years at the winery and her commitment shines through loud and clear! I willingly joined the wine club based primarily on Debbie's professionalism and cordial attentiveness. Of note, is also Janice Beland who waited on my sister and me in the gift shop. Like Debbie, Janice was accommodating, helpful and very pleasant. There are 425 wineries in what is known as Wine Country. Domaine Chandon ranks among the top. Don't miss this experience.

I'm not sure why they chose a swamp to greet guests; Chandon would attract 2x as many club members if they took better care of the property. Staff was very sweet. One of the still wines was nice in the prestige tasting. Mildly decent American "Champagne".

Mandatory stop, one of the most beautiful wineries in the region, is worth doing the tasting, but be careful if you are driving.
Super personalized service, phenomenal champagnes, very worth it, Super recommended.

YES!!! Do this! We toured 7 wineries before coming here on our trip and it was the most relaxed, no pressure to buy, great food and drink stop. You can select what you like whether it's a tasting or a bottle of wine and go sit out on the patio with no sales stuff to pressure you. I recommend just buying a bottle and sitting on the gorgeous patio.

Sparkling wine was not meant to be drunk alone. To truly enjoy what Chandon has on offer, you need to indulge yourself and your friends taste buds at the restaurant with a bottle of Chandons finest coupled with a magnificent formal dining. An experience I just had on a beautiful fine warm spring day for lunch. Take your friends, take the nice car, and just relax in the warmth of the finest service and tantalizing tastes. Yes you could just do a wine tasting or lap up some sun in a more casual area, but you can't beat the fine wining and dining. Don't forget to try out the fantastic deserts which the pastry chef of 30 years has perfected to an art form which rounds off the magnificent menu.

The service was terrible. The bartenders looked bored. Never came and asked us what we thought. Only talked about the tasting choices if we REALLY pushed them. If you are going for a great champagne experience, go to Domaine Carneros. They make it special and fun.

Honestly the servers here seem like they have 0 customer service experience, if you want to come here for the name then by all means but the drive is trash we ordered a wine and the guy instantly did not want to let us try anything and wanted to sell us the most expensive glass; we did not see him the rest of the time. Very corporate, would not recommend.

Came in a group of 20 for a wedding bachelor/bachelorette type outing. Chris took great care of us and we had a great time. The sparkling wine was really good and we had a really good cheese and meat platter to complement. Really good time for our large group.

Chandon's tasting area is pretty chaotic and you don't really get to taste anything that you couldn't find at any liquor store in America. The only saving grace is that the grounds are beautiful and you can very easily buy a bottle to share with friends for a beyond reasonable price.

Reservations are terrible. We were told that we didn't need a reservation and got there only to find out we could not be seated. This place is not worth your time and don't bother relying on them to keep to their word.

Absolutely the worst customer service
This place literally turned away customers. It was 30th birthday party and these idiots told us we could not get in because we had a party bigger than 16 people. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful winery!

Great options for tasting for both still as well as sparkling wines. They also allow you to walk around in between tasting pours allowing to explore the beautiful grounds and not rush through tastings.

I went to Domaine Chandon with my wife and her parents right after visiting the Robert Mondavi winery up the street. The tour was lackluster at best. At other wineries, a good amount of time is spent outside talking about the growing process, the soil, etc. At Chandon, they show a few small vines in a courtyard as the only connection to the growing process. The inside portions of the tour were more interesting, but the guide sounded as if she was reading a script. Not a lot of audience connection and charisma, which is what I was expecting at $40/head.

The wine was okay. Buy it at the grocery store though. Would not recommend allocating any of your Napa time to this place.

Great sparkling wine made in authentic champagne style, and a gorgeous property with a very enjoyable outdoor tasting experience (chocolate covered strawberries, abundant pours and second helpings.) All good overall, my only reservation is that our tour guide talked so fast that we lost interest and felt like we were on an assembly line being shoved through the place. Also, for whatever reason when we first entered the main room where you can purchase wines and start your tour, it smelled like sewage. The prices on Chandon are very good here too. And try the rose.

I left in tears on my honeymoon because one staff ...

I left in tears on my honeymoon because one staff member, Melissa, was so rude to me.

I have looked forward to visiting Chandon for the last six months. It's one of my mom and my favorite sparkling brands. For years she has told me what a beautiful winery it is and how I really need to visit. Well, my honeymoon would seem like the perfect time, right? We arrived 12 minutes late for the tour, and were immediately told that we could not go on the tour, as we exceeded the time allowed. And I understand that, but asked for a special allowance with the understanding that we would miss a bit of the tour, due to our lateness, but before I could ask, I was told in the snottiest of tones, by Melissa that no, she was just following the policy and I should go buy a bottle and sit outside. So our driver came up and informed the front desk that the tour hadn't entered the cave yet, and asked if could we run to catch up. After a bit more back and forth, we RAN, and did catch up, and it was a lovely tour with a very nice guide and group. It was wonderful. That is where the two stars are given.

As we went to pay out, Melissa appeared again to give more attitude and snottiness. After a bit more unnecessary back and forth, and some quite rude commentary from Melissa, I asked for the manager. She was quite rude about that and at that point, refused to tell me her name. I found out her name from another employee working in the gift shop. Fortunately my husband is quite a rational man and he calmed me down, as I was very upset at this point. As I was walking out, I said goodbye to Melissa, calling her by name and she yelled out to me, "You were the one who started it, you were the one who got an attitude first." At that point I started crying and ended up leaving the winery crying.

End of the day, the one place that I looked forward to the most made me leave in tears. Happy honeymoon to me. I would not only not recommend this winery to anyone, I would actively discourage them from going. I know it is a busy winery and it doesn't really matter what one person thinks, but I certainly hope they make sure Melissa never makes anyone feel as poorly as she made me feel.

Beautiful grounds but it felt really impersonal and corporate. They push their wine club HARD at this one. I wanted to take home a bottle but decided to forgo it since they wouldn't stop pressuring us to sign up. I like their product, but not enough to join the club.

Final destination on my bucket list tour of wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valleys.

They make sparkling wines & had an interesting lecture with free samples of course :-).

Never knew the intricate process that goes into making sparkling wines and Brut Champagne. Came away with a deeper respect for next New Year s eve sip
Must try their wine to celebrate my trip

If you are a nature lover like me look for the herb garden as well as special efforts they make to create homes for beneficial insects like bees and other critters necessary in the ecology to make outstanding wine!

I do wish to make a note that this tour had extensive walking -up and down long stairways. I had trouble as I recently hurt my Achilles tendon. They do have seating available as they explain how the wine is actually produced inside the bottle

Well... my excuse for taking my fam here is it was the first place we went. The grounds are ok but most nice spots are for chandon club members only. Thus the tasting room is tiny and kinda sterile. The staff wasn't very nice and it was like pulling teeth getting a description beyond the 3 words written for the wines. $20-25 for 3-4 wine tastings. I reeealllyyy regret even spending the money here when we had a much better experience (bigger grounds, more open walk, friendlier staff) just up north at mondavi and beringer. Compared to other big name wineries in the area this place is the worsttt.

We came and asked for the style of tasting as we wanted to taste the full menu, compare wines and sit outside. We were told that they only give one wine at a time, as per house rules so we asked why which the staff couldn't explain but replied "You don't have to understand the rules but you have other options in the valley." After providing feedback to the manager we were explained the rule and told that it's based on limited dishwasher capacity and were offered free tasting menu. Surprisingly we were served all wines at the same time Overall, "ok" wine, would not come back, go to Frank Family or Domaine Carneros instead

Reasonably good sparkling wines and a couple good pinots. Tasting flights at the seated outdoor area not cheap -- but our server was quite generous with his pours, and the views of the grounds were fantastic.

Overall, this place is really marred by being a tourist bus destination. Nothing about this place is intimate. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a good experience at a sparkling wine house. There are a couple crappy places, but at least is ok.

Domaine Chandon is a gorgeous vineyard that rocks ...

Domaine Chandon is a gorgeous vineyard that rocks the sparkling wine. Aaron was our guide and he was educational and entertaining.

Domaine Chandon grounds: This massive winery facility is popular af and was packed during our visit. The visitor center has plenty of wine and wine souvenirs to take back home for visitors like us. The terrace and lawns were packed with crowds enjoying their sparkling wines. We received a tour of the grounds, the massive storage vats before we sat down for our awesome tasting.

Aaron broke down the amazing complex process to get sparking wine to the final product in a labeled bottle for purchase. This really made me appreciate sparking wine for future consumption. In the tasting room, we learned how to properly open a bottle as we watched Aaron perform it flawlessly with each bottle. If you get a chance to taste the truffle popcorn during your tasting, please go for it as it was a treat. All the sparkling wines we sampled were tasty and refreshing. I'm not a sparking wine guy per say but the reserve pinot noir rose was a must buy for the crew.

Overall this facility has plenty of space and it appears that they're packed with locals and tourists because they're doing it right there. Great service, attractive facility and sparking wines makes for a good time. See you in the tasting room. Cheers!

Celebrating my daughter's birthday at Domaine Chan...

Celebrating my daughter's birthday at Domaine Chandon. As Melbourne locals, used to excellent service across Victoria, we are disappointed by the rudeness of multiple staff, including Andrea, who was looking after the front deck. Wine is delicious but you'd think after spending $100+, you could stretch to offer an additional few pieces of bread to finish a charcuterie platter when asked. As is, we were charged $4 for two slices. We declined on principal and were then told "we are running a business" very curtly. I suppose you can get away with this poor level of hospitality when much of your customer base is international. Domain Chandon... very uncouth; very un-Melbourne.

Wish I could've left a 0 star rating. Our family went as a big group yesterday and we were denied entry because according to management..."we're at capacity". Popular winery, end of Summer, Saturday afternoon, etc. Easy to think ok we just came at the wrong time better luck next time right? However, why would you only tell one group of people that you can't come in, but at the sameu time continue to allow other groups to walk in that got there after us when you've supposedly stopped allowing people in?

Also, why treat us like we did something wrong? Why not politely say "hey guys you know what we appreciate you guys thinking to visit us out of all the great wineries up here but unfortunately we're at capacity and therefore please come back another time?" When you just rudely (and loud enough for other patrons to hear) say like your a bouncer at a nightclub "you can't come in...we're at capacity" your opening your self up to criticism like this. I'm 100% sure not everyone who works there is like this as the rest of the staff was very courteous.

Lastly, we were dressed appropriately and we weren't wasted just in case anyone reading this is thinking that.

Visited on October 31, 2018. I tasted sparkling wine here only in the winery tour. The garden from the parking lot to the building was very beautiful. Since I visited first thing in the morning, I was lucky that all the sparkling wines in the tasting were newly unplugged ( ). There was no problem without a tasting reservation. It may be timely.

Great sparkling wine but the facilities and grounds need updating. It's very 70s and the clientele is very touristy. Again, great wines but if you're looking for that trademark Napa vineyard atmosphere, continue down the road.

Chandon is one of the few tasting rooms in Napa that open until 6pm. So be prepared to wait for your tasting if you arrive at 5pm, since many people come here as their last stop. The bubbles here are great. The tastings are 4 for $15. The one sparkling wine that is not on their tasting menu is the sparkling red, I recommend you buying a glass to try it out - it's definitely unique. Also, they have a great pinot if you decide to go still on your tasting. Domain offers a really good membership, where all your 1st time purchases are 50% off - my husband and I took advantage of this offer and bought all of our wedding champagne here. Cheers!

Meh. The initial atmosphere is nice. You cross a bubbling brook to enter the building. Once inside, it was a little busy with lots of people. This is not the place if you enjoy intimate surroundings. It had the feel of a busy wine bar. Also, the building architecture felt like a college campus built in the 1970's. A couple of the champagnes were ok, but I'm not a big champagne drinker. I had the wine flight and it was not good. In particular I actually spit out the chardonnay. If you are out to taste wine, I would avoid this place all together. If you're looking for champagne, you might find something you like.

Visited as part of a tour recommended by my hotel concierge. This is a factory operation as compared to some of the smaller, family owned operations, which provided an interesting contrast. The guide was engaging and provided a lot of information about historical and present-day champagne production. They were very generous with samples.

Tasting:

Tasting:
Starts at $20. The place offer sparkling wine. It's okay in terms of taste, but nothing really stood out to me. Easy to drink if you are a light weight.

Scenery:
The area is very nice to walk around. This is probably the reason to go here. A lot of open space. There are wooden seats located outside. The wine tasting room is upstair. Has a classy atmosphere to it. The downstairs consist of a store and a hallway. Good place to take pictures.
