Beautiful, updated tasting room with great wine and fantastic service
Great facility for an event. Attended a wedding which was absolutely perfect. Great food and very professional staff
Good wines and foods. Became a club member to taste the many other wines available.
Feels exclusive, looks polished yet rough! They also have great small sides. The lawn area is crisp and gives good views, then from the balcony the views get even better. The upper patio/ porch is the members area.
I got married here and also plan events here. I've been coming to this property for going on 11 years now and the beauty of the grounds, the friendly staff, amazing wines, and now, amazing food, never gets old!! The renovation last year took it took the next level. This is a must see & taste, if you are ever in Livermore!
Really good wines with an excellent place to bring the whole family. There is a small yard for the kids to run around in and corn hole set up to play. Good wine, good food with good friends.
Don t need many words for this review- it s simple... great wine in an awesome setting paired with excellent service.
The wine is delicious and the customer service experience is unparalleled! Definitely worth a visit to this beautiful Vineyard.
Beautiful grounds, delicious wines and the nicest staff (especially Shenaz)
Had so much fun...wine serves were all very educated and knew what they were talking about!
Great wine, pretty countryside, tasty food, and outstanding service by Diana
We just had a company event here and it was a blast! Staff was helpful and fun. The wine is great and the property is beautiful.
Delicious wine! Thank you to our server Emily for making our tasting such a great experience
Just joined recently because when we visited they were dog and baby friendly. We've come back for tastings and have yet to have a flight because they are too busy to service members. Just found out we can't bring our baby to the members event which we were told was family friendly when we joined. I'm totally fine with wineries not wanting kids running around, but feels like a bait and switch from what we were told when we signed up. I had been recommending this place to friends and coworkers, but will stop and cancel this week. Definitely a bummer as it's a wonderful property.
Great service, delicious wines. Wonderful day to spend with friends and family.
This place was recently re-designed to be more modern and family friendly from what I could tell. The patio space is absolutely beautiful and overlooks the vineyard and green hills of Livermore.
I really enjoyed the wine selection and variety of food they offered. If you get a chance, ask for a quick tour of the place and you ll get a nice history lesson on the well that s on the property! If the weather is right, it s the perfect way to spend an early afternoon enjoying the wine and views. Cheers!
Amazing place to visit and kick back with a glass .. or five
We love to go with friends, such a beautiful location. The Wine Component, and Food Pairing events are great! Joining the wine club is well worth it.
Beautiful setting. Wine is OK, but nothing special. Don't bother with the food. The $25 cheese board had 4 very small pieces of cheese, a few crackers and some cranberries. For $25! Won't be going back.
Our annual company meeting was hosted by Murrieta's Well this week. Team members were welcomed with a small pour of breakfast wine as we headed into the meeting. After the morning meeting ended, we headed out onto the patio before being directed to lunch, which was served upstairs. Lunch consisted of grilled chicken with a mustard sauce, shaved fennel salad, the most delicious mashed potatoes I've had in months, and seasonal vegetables (among other items!). Wine was also being served during lunch, while we sat out on the deck overlooking the vineyard. The team members at Murietta's Well (Diva Sheila, Suzie, Rob, Stephanie, Christina) were attentive, friendly, and a lot of fun. The afternoon was filled with team building activities that had us laughing until we cried - team challenges included a short quiz based on the trivia learned during our tour, a blind tasting of four wines, building the tallest tower out of corks, and singing/performing a song using the wine varietals produced onsite. This was probably the best company meeting yet (I've had four so far) and cannot thank the team at Murietta's Well (and our managing partner, Keith) for organizing a spectacular event. I highly recommend this winery, and look forward to visiting again myself. Thank you!
Exceptional place, Exceptional wine, Exceptional food, and most of all.........an Exceptional staff!! Our company event was truly "off-the-charts!"
Very good wine and nice atmosphere, food is wonderful
Went to pick up our wine and enjoyed a quick flight!!
Fantastic place to spend an afternoon wine tasting!
Tastings are $25 for 4 tiny pours of basic, unremarkable wine. Location is pretty. Service is acceptable. Wine is wildly overpriced for the quality.
Was here for a wedding. The venue is beautiful. The wines served were excllent.
We love the wines here. The release party food pairings were great!
A good day, like the wine of his family. I like the red blend of the six grapes most!
Just had a great company team-building meeting at Murrieta's Well! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about not only the wine but the history of the winery and vineyards!
We were here for my brothers wedding and the venue was amazingly romantic. Everything was nicely decorated and the staff was wonderful. The catered dinner was fantastic.
Great wine, Super friendly staff, and BEAUTIFUL scenery. Tina was AMAZING!!
Love it here! They are always welcoming. Kid and dog friendly. Great wine. Food is decent, not many choices.
Atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. Service was great. And the wine tasting was excellent, lovely flavors. If you want food, aka cheese and crackers, make sure you arrive BEFORE 4 pm. Boujee
Lovely, intimate venue. Great food. Cannot go wrong with a whip and spur.
Great cheese board. The whites are incredible, easy to drink.
What a cute gem for on outdoor wedding. We just loved the decor and the service. Web recommend Murrieta's Well
Ingrid's was very informative and made our new visitors feel very welcome. Love the Melbec!!!
Great wines, friendly staff, and a nice area for the kids to play in the California sunshine.
Beautiful local. Really enjoyed the wine. Also cheese and veggie plates were delicious. Will definitely return. Sorry I didn't take pics I will next time. Staff was fantastic. Pretty stream right on the drive in .
Best wines in the Livermore Valley. All their wines are top notch and at reasonable prices for the quality. Also, they are not the same old Cab/Chardonnay varietals. Petite Verdot and Meritage are our favorites, but we can honestly say we have never had a bad wine from MW and have been members for many years. We have been members of a few others, but end up canceling after a year due to limited selections, so-so wines, or price/value ratio.
Lovely locale, artfully presented, delicious food, & outstanding wines! Warm, gracious service from Jillian....a wonderful visit!
I love photographing weddings here. This venue has some great locations to photograph inside and out. The stairwell is a must have picture opportunity. And the night shot opportunities are phenomenal!
Bella was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Every wine we tasted was perfect.
Very nice people and we felt very welcome here! We had a great time and lived the port they had!
Loved this winery! Enjoyed the nice patio, inside tasting area is nice, and the wine is really good! Like the white and the reds. The white and blush werent too sweet or too dry, the reds were peppery and not jammy. The servers were nice and the assortment on the boards was delicious. Will be going back when more friends come in town!
Nice venue, but the lighting was terrible for an evening/night time event.
Absolutely gorgeous! We really enjoyed delicious wine and food here! Jason was great!
Vino! Vino!
Looks like I might have to start frequenting Livermore more often. My trip over the weekend to celebrate one of my friend's birthday was a big eye opener...
I visited Murrieta's Well a few years back and definitely don't remember it being THIS nice! I vaguely remember the main building and a bunch of land around it...more of a barn room tasting set up. I can easily appreciate the amount of effort and time put into the remodel...
However, along with the fancy ambiance comes the higher price tags and gone is the small town local winery feel... The tastings fees are a very Napaish now, at $25 per person! I remember the tasting being $10 or $15 per person...I guess things change. Looks like it's for the better in this case.
On to the Wine tasting...
We were told to make a reservation since we had decent size party at 8 people. The staff prepared a table for us near the lawn.
As soon as we got there, we were served with a glass of White Wine; The Whip, a white blend. Easy to drink, but nothing outstanding.
Next up was the Dry Rose; This was a hit at the table. Definitely not sweet, but not too dry either, crisp and refreshing. Perfect summer wine. We actually ended up getting a bottle.
We also had the fortune of trying the Muscat Canelli. This was my fave of the day...as I am not a huge White Wine fan. I usually associate any sort of Muscat with sugar on the pallette. The Muscat Canelli surprised me; it had a pleasant floral scent and was light, crisp and refreshing. Brilliant for a warm day.
All the Reds were smooth, easy to drink and flavorful. However I can't say any of them stood out to me. I will have to come revisit all of them. I believe the tasting menu included Merlot, Malbec and the Petit Verdot.
In order to thoroughly immerse ourselves in the tasting experience we also opted to try some of the bites offered from the kitchen. We got all 3 Small plates from the Patio Menu
- Market Fresh Board: I wasn't a big fan of this plate, but that is due to my own personal preferences. The root vegetable theme did not work for me. I didn't think this was a good complement to a wine tasting. I did however appreciate this dish and its uniqueness, and the Cauliflower Hummus was pretty good. I was just not expecting to eat Parsnips, Heirloom Carrots and Celery Roots.
- Charcuterie & Cheese Board: What's not to like? Cheese, Meat, Fruit & Nuts complimented with what I believe to be homemade flatbread crackers. My only complaint is...well more like a personal gripe...I wish the Cheese selection included Sharp Cheddars or heavier and more flavorful Cheeses.
- Housemade Barrel Bites: Brilliant! This was the best plate of the three IMHO. Inspired by Indian Cuisine; some sort of Naan bread with a Garlic, Cauliflower Humus dip. Great flavor and aroma.
Well done Murrieta's Well! I look forward to returning here with a group.
Nice
Very Nice
Been a member for 15 years. The last round of upgrades have truly elevated the tasting experience with a kitchen and beautiful seating deck. The Cab Franc and Dry Rose are the best I've had anywhere. The Zarzuela is their signature and what brought me to love this winery. Highly recommend.
Quality of the wines and food are second to none. The ambiance and service at this winery makes it our runaway favorite - Napa has nothing on these guys. Shout out to Rob at the tasting bar, our waitress Suzie (amazing service), and Executive Chef Tony (f'ing delicious food).
Was escorted by one of the ladies into the winery. Very nice touch. Maria waited on us. Lovely informative young lady...knows her stuff about wine...very pleasant. Our 16 yr.wedding anniversary. Had the cheese board and tasting. Then bought 2 bottles of wine. Enjoyed very much. Thank you Maria ;-)
A great place to have a wedding. Great variety of wines
Mediocre wines with a pretentious atmosphere. Relax,it's Livermore not Napa.
Great wine and food. Friendly staff. Wine is a little expensive, $30-60 per bottle.
This was my first time visiting this winery and it was so horrible, we were treated horribly..I will never go back
Just took a large group to Murrieta's Well last week. We had a great time and the wine is fabulous. Our expert sommelier, Madelyn Arthur, was very knowledgeable and fun to speak with.
