Domaine Chandon

I went to Domaine Chandon with my wife and her parents right after visiting the Robert Mondavi winery up the street. The tour was lackluster at best. At other wineries, a good amount of time is spent outside talking about the growing process, the soil, etc. At Chandon, they show a few small vines in a courtyard as the only connection to the growing process. The inside portions of the tour were more interesting, but the guide sounded as if she was reading a script. Not a lot of audience connection and charisma, which is what I was expecting at $40/head. The wine was okay. Buy it at the grocery store though. Would not recommend allocating any of your Napa time to this place.
