Came to pick up citypass vouchers from Expedia. They had a few issues getting it pulled up in their system but the lady at the front desk made kept me informed step by step so I didn't freak out. They gave me FastTrack passes for having to wait so long. Excellent customer service every step of the way.

I will try to keep this short but there is to many things they messed up. I requested a room with two beds in it. They offered an upgrade to e-ticket which included an upgraded room. What they failed to explain was they only had one bed in that room which would not work for my family of four. No big deal, called them and they witched me back to a regular room in a different tower then the e-ticket room is. Ok so I have to walk to another building to get any of the services of the upgrade. Ok I moved past it and accepted things happen. One of our keys didn t work for the room which locked my kids and wife out until I could get there from the park. Then part of the upgrade was movies you could barrow and take back to your room. So I waked to the other building and borrowed monster inc which my son was excited to see. Well after walking back to my room (in the other building) I discovered we don t have a DVD player. So I get informed that some rooms don t have DVD players because they are being replaced or repaired. We were suppose to receive concierge service on the checkout day which we did not I m guessing has something to do with switching rooms and buildings. Also to add to all this My son went through a security check point with a shark gun from sea world which looks nothing like a real gun and I decided midway through our trip to take items back to the hotel room. During this time, I accidentally left through the wrong security checkpoint and had to turn around to go through the correct one to get to the hotel which was within eye sight. I was informed by a rude security guard that I could not come back through the checkpoint I walked out of moments before because I had a item that resembled a gun. After explaining to him that I just got off a ride in the park Where I used a blaster to shoot targets and that they have a laser shooting range in the park with real looking guns he still said I couldn t come on. So I asked him, how do I get to my hotel. He said I can walk around the park. So in hopes of not breaking my sons heart I did just that. I walked around the park about a mile to get to my hotel. I normally don t like to bring up my status as a injured vet but in this case I ll make an exception. DurIng my time in the military I sustained a back and shoulder injury and After a long day in the park with two kids and this mile or more walk around the park my back injury I sustained Was extremely aggravated and was causing me pain. Which just ruined the next two days of my vacation. I have never been the person to complain but after this mess of a stay and the way the handled it I will never stay here again. Most of the staff was polite with a few exceptions but you will always have them. By far, a bell hop named David was the best experience of my stay which unfortunately is sad to say. Thank you David if you read this. You can teach a lot of people there about hospitality.

We had dinner at Steakhouse 55. This place is actually by far the most expensive restaurant in the resort. The steaks are all a la cart. It's $43 for a hunk of delicious meat (more or less). Baked potato, veggies, etc are extra. Like $14 extra. But whatever, you don't come here to get a bargain cheeseburger. We come about twice a year and it's always great service, excellent food, friendly staff, and a big ouch when the credit card bill comes a month later.

NOT worth the $$$$!!! E ticket club gets 5 stars, but the rest of the experience 1 star. Staff (other than e ticket) was beyond unfriendly and most discourteous. Was one mile walk from room to park. List is way too long. Rooms were filthy, dusty and inconsistent. Trying to get assistance from anywhere(again, other than e ticket lounge) was fruitless. This was most certainly NOT the happiest place on earth and for what they charge was not acceptable. Go to Legoland. It is less than 1/3 the price, have FRIENDLY staff whom never seem to have a bad day, know how to go above and beyond, with rooms that can pass a white glove test-and are hypoallergenic to boot- and park entrance is RIGHT outside of hotel. Wanted to request a refund, but considering what a hassle the most simplest of things were, did not wish to further aggravate ourselves. Save your several thousands of dollars!!!

Ate at Goofy's kitchen for brunch with a large party. Food was typical for a buffet style so don't expect anything special other than being "Disney" shaped or themed. Plenty of characters roaming around interacting with kids and adults which was nice. Downside was that whole party had to be there to check in and payment was due before hand.

Very disappointed with the Disneyland Hotel, I would have expected more from a hotel that is suppose to cater to families. First off, when we arrived at the hotel at around 7pm our room was not ready, we waited in the lobby with a hungry infant for an hour, the staff was unable to even provide hot water to feed our infant. Second, it took two days for the hotel to provide out passes to the parks, the package I purchased from Disneyland Hotel could not figure out that our package included passes... Third, the steakhouse at the Disneyland Hotel did not know how to cook a steak!!! Fourth, our room shower had no pressure, so lets just showering was a challenge, not a big deal but after you spend $4,800 for a room you expect to be able to take showers.. Fifth, the hotel made a big deal about our request for a late check out of an hour.

I went here simply to waste an hour before we had to find a spot for the fireworks. I had heard fun things about the poolside bar and restaurant, Trader Sam's. It was really hard to find a spot in the bar, but we weren't there to hang out for a long period of time. In addition, because the bar was so full, we had to squeeze in-between another patron to get an order in. The atmosphere was fun, especially when we got our drink orders. Certain drinks make special things happen in the bar. Overall it was a fun a quick thing to do if you need to waste a bit of time.

We had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. Before going in to dinner, our kids went through a little decorated set of Goofy's Kitchen where they got to meet and take pictures with Mickey. Food at the buffet was great. There were plenty of options for the whole family and the dessert table was huge. Characters spent plenty of time at each table. Overall a great experience! We made a reservation for 4:30, an early dinner. That turned out to work out well because we didn't have to wait in line to get pictures or to sit down. When we left, the waiting area was packed.

The classic original Disneyland hotel is fabulous. The hotel features one of the best hotel bars, Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar, around. The pool area with 2 slides and hot tub is great for families.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for two nights. What's great about the hotel is it's proximity to the parks and the continuation of the Disney theme, which kids love. It is very family friendly, obviously. The staff are as wonderful as can be, as only Disney can be. My only complaint would be about the housekeeping staff. They didn't do a good job making the beds and left the ironing board and iron out (instead) of putting them away. I've never had that happen at a hotel before.

We ate breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen one morning and Steakhouse 55 the other. Kids will love Goofy's Kitchen for the fun, character dining. The food was okay. The cost was too high for the value. It was fun to do for the kids once, but that's it. The breakfast at Steakhouse 55 was well priced and delicious. Also, the atmosphere was way more relaxing for adults. We will go there again.

Good!

Went to meet up with out of state friends at Trader Sams. We stayed out by the fireplace because it was so loud inside. 40 minutes after sitting down, a server finally took our drink orders. 45 minutes later we finally got our drinks. It was another hour before the server came back. They tried charging me twice for a pizza. I ordered and paid inside. Half an hour later, I went to check up on it. 15 minutes later, a server came out to say it was being made. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get the pizza, and the server bringing it also brought me a NEW bill for the already paid for pizza. Atmosphere is good, food does taste good, but service is awful, which is what I mark down for

Excellent service, room is very spacious. There are a few towers around, i like the tower by the lobby since it requires least amount of travel with suitcase. I am not a big fan of parking charge, perhaps its best to use carshare services instead of renting.

Great spot to hit up after Disneyland. Even if you're not staying at the hotel or just contemplating a future stay, it's always a good time when hitting up the hotel for a drink or two at Trader Sam's.

We did character dining at Goody's Kitchen. Breakfast buffet was ok... Standard fare. Characters were ok, some more interactive than others. Had a better character experience at another restaurant without the added cost of admission.

*This review is for those who are looking for a wedding venue!

My friend Kim and Thaison just got married here yesterday (7/25/15) and her wedding was a like fairy tale dream come true. This place has a nice Gazebo outside that added a nice touch to the ceremony. The area around is very clean and green. For my friend's reception, they went for The Magic Kingdom ballroom which provided a big space for her to seat about 200 guest. Disney staffs are all very nice, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place. After the wedding, you can just hop onto Disneyland/California Adventure to continue your fun.

I stayed at the Frontier Hotel July 3rd-4th and had the best time ever. I wanted to avoid the annoying neighborhood fireworks and ended up have a magical stay as if I was in a Disney Vacation somewhere else. The Disneyland staff were at their best behavior and can't say enough about the value you get when staying at a Disney Hotel. Try it...you'll absolutely love it!

This is a Disney run hotel. It is not the most expensive on property. That is where your expectations should be. The room was a basic 2 queen configuration that included a fold-out couch and a desk. We were two adults and a child. We wanted more space for our clothes. The bathroom was pretty but had that swamp gas smell of a building that doesn't know how to vent their sewage pipes correctly. This made brushing teeth a gag inducing event. However, the bathroom's vent that takes the fog away was good enough to keep the smell from leaking into the main room. The bathroom door swing inward and would hit you knees if you were pooping. Fully opened, the door blocked half the tub, forcing the showerer to step out in the tiny space between tub and toilet. The space under the door was not enough to pass over the thickness of the floor-towel. This means your feet get cold because you can't keep that towel in front of the toilet. Also, our first day in the room, there were two wet spots about the size of a Home Depot orange bucket. We called, we showed Guest Services, they sent a maintenance guy with a hairdryer lol! He came back with a real fan. I would have preferred the room to dry without us occupying it, but we did decide to go check out Downtown Disney in the meantime. The walk to Downtown Disney is very short and why this is a 4 star review. Well that and Magic Hours access. The pool area is beautiful! The grounds are very pretty. There is never any trash laying around. The one waterslide that was working was fun and they had guards posted so the kids didn't run amok and get hurt; a nice touch and pricey, thank you. The guards were all nice and professional. The waitstaff were too. The poolside experience was luxurious. Dining at Goofy's Kitchen was fun and the characters were interactive. The food was as you would expect from any buffet that sized and it was of a decent size and variety. You pay upfront and there is definitely some sticker shock until you remember you are in Disneyland. The polynesian themed restaurant is delicious, I just wish someone had considered cup shape and a server's ability to move it without spilling, regarding the alcoholic beverages. It was a fun place to stay and we had a great time overall.
