This is a Disney run hotel. It is not the most expensive on property. That is where your expectations should be. The room was a basic 2 queen configuration that included a fold-out couch and a desk. We were two adults and a child. We wanted more space for our clothes. The bathroom was pretty but had that swamp gas smell of a building that doesn't know how to vent their sewage pipes correctly. This made brushing teeth a gag inducing event. However, the bathroom's vent that takes the fog away was good enough to keep the smell from leaking into the main room. The bathroom door swing inward and would hit you knees if you were pooping. Fully opened, the door blocked half the tub, forcing the showerer to step out in the tiny space between tub and toilet. The space under the door was not enough to pass over the thickness of the floor-towel. This means your feet get cold because you can't keep that towel in front of the toilet. Also, our first day in the room, there were two wet spots about the size of a Home Depot orange bucket. We called, we showed Guest Services, they sent a maintenance guy with a hairdryer lol! He came back with a real fan. I would have preferred the room to dry without us occupying it, but we did decide to go check out Downtown Disney in the meantime. The walk to Downtown Disney is very short and why this is a 4 star review. Well that and Magic Hours access. The pool area is beautiful! The grounds are very pretty. There is never any trash laying around. The one waterslide that was working was fun and they had guards posted so the kids didn't run amok and get hurt; a nice touch and pricey, thank you. The guards were all nice and professional. The waitstaff were too. The poolside experience was luxurious. Dining at Goofy's Kitchen was fun and the characters were interactive. The food was as you would expect from any buffet that sized and it was of a decent size and variety. You pay upfront and there is definitely some sticker shock until you remember you are in Disneyland. The polynesian themed restaurant is delicious, I just wish someone had considered cup shape and a server's ability to move it without spilling, regarding the alcoholic beverages. It was a fun place to stay and we had a great time overall.
