I had a very nice time I was celebrating my 20 years of service with Publix supermarket we were treated with the most awesome service the staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean and spacious there was a beautiful view of both the beach and intracoastal I would highly recommend this establishment!

Great hotel, located right on the beach with recent renovations and great service that make it a great choice in Hollywood, FL. Rooms are well appointed, with free WiFi if you are a Honors member and the ocean view is spectacular! Being able to use Chromecast for my content was an added plus.

Went here for a company holiday party. The party was boring and stuffy but the venue was nice and staff was helpful. Biggest issue is that we parked in the garage across the street. The walkway was nice but it took forever to get out because the machines where you pay are extremely glitchy. Gives lots of issues to every person who tries to leave.

This place is horrible!! DO NOT STAY HERE THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!! We had been planning a trip to Florida for a family reunion and reserved 4 rooms for 3 nights over the phone 1 month ahead of time. We were told they would all be next to each other because we have our kids and family staying. When we arrived to check in after a long flight they proceeded to tell us they didn t have the rooms we had reserved that all they had were a few left and on different floors. We were not happy considering we made the reservation in advance. We showed them the email confirmation of our reservation and they realized they made a mistake. They told us they would figure something out for us and asked if we could wait in the lobby. They had us waiting in the lobby for over 5 hours which wasn t pleasant considering all we were expecting to do was check in after a long flight and not a lot of sleep. Plus 5 hours is a long time for our elderly mother and our daughter trying to feed and change our 4 month old granddaughter to have to sit and wait in a lobby for so long. Not to mention a complete waist of one of the 3 days we had in Florida.

The problems continue... after waiting 5 hours for them to get our rooms and check us in they then give us a completely different price than originally quoted and didn t include the breakfast credits they offered us when we made the reservation. Again showing them the email confirmation they sent us. Meanwhile trying not to let our trip get ruined over this horrible frustrating experience. They let us speak with a manager who made a phone call got approved for a 20% discount on our stay for their mistakes and the breakfast credit that we were originally supposed to have. We were finally satisfied and she even made sure our rooms were all on the same floor like we had originally reserved. Sounds great right? Well after our trip and seeing the charges on our credit card statement they ran our card multiple times for the cost of the stay so what should have been 2,300 with a 20% discount turned in to $13,000!!!
So please tell me how the cost adds up to $13,000 for 4 water front queen bed rooms for three nights and after promising a discount on the original $2,300 due to the inconvenience of them messing up our reservation. Their math is way off!

This place will steal your money and after multiple phone calls to corporate and emails to prove that they way over charged us and promises for a refund that never happened and we re still paying on it to this day. Even after corporate validating our complaint and report on the situation and authorizing a refund we still haven t got it. Don t get me wrong this hotel is really nice but if you want them to charge your card multiple times and steal your money then you are better off finding another nearby hotel to stay at this place is horrible and the customer service is terrible.

If you are able to stay without problems then I m sure you ll have nice things to say about this place but when you re charged $13,000 for three nights due to them swiping our card multiple times guarantee your review isn t going to be very nice! I will never stay at another Hilton hotel again due to this one experience and because they stole our money. It baffles me that we have every bit of information to prove this and they are not willing to refund the over charges. For $13,000 I should I had the penthouse suite all inclusive. Next time I visit Florida I will be sure to avoid the diplomat thanks for stealing our money and putting us 13,000 in debt for a 3 night stay at your hotel that should have only cost $2,300 we still have bank statements and emails and receipts but apparently that doesn t matter to this hotel they just want your money!

The Hollywood Diplomat.

The Hollywood Diplomat.

FIVE STAR.

One of my favorite resorts on ANY coast. There is no weak link.

(I just came for my wedding anniversary. My wife and I were treated like royalty. Love this beach front gem! A stone's throw from Miami. I can't wait to go BACK to The Diplomat.)

Really nice hotel, but as soon as you do your check out u lost all privileges!!
U can use pool area but if u stay enjoying the place its not place where u can take a shower or change ur clothes....

Clean with really good views. Stayed three nights for a conference. Food was okay. Staff friendly in most cases.

Subtract one star for really bad design of the bathroom. One side of the bathroom was split into a shower and a toilet room, both with swinging glass doors. The shower is so small that I find it hard to finish shampooing without hitting the shower walls multiple times - I m US woman size 8. On the other hand, the toilet room is so big so the swing door is also very wide. When opened, the door covers more than half of the vanity counter. Very odd design. See my picture showing the proportion.

We stayed here for the week on a holiday. The resort was very beautiful and most of the staff was accommodating. Our room was smaller than expected, but had a really nice view of the ocean.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at this resort. From the moment we arrived until check out things were great! Charlie helped us book a tour of the Everglades, she's very helpful. The pools are amazing, not overcrowded, well maintained. The rooms are very chic and spacious. The employees out front of the resort were polite and professional. The beach is clean, the location is near alot of cool places off resort. It's more than your average resort. In fact, you really don't need to leave in order to be fully entertained. They have it all.

Have been staying here for over 10 years, like the new lobby, but can't figure out why they would make it a "Arizona" southwestern theme in Florida?? 2 biggest complaints are: the ONLY place to sit down for lunch is at the pool (same small menu everyday) , and if you ever have to call about a question/problem with a charge...good luck! no one will ever call you back. Just not the same as Starwoods :(

It was a great experience. Great rooms, lots of space and great location. Restaurants were a little pricey, but you can expect that in a resort right on the beach. Loved having beach loungers available to us on the beach as part of our room. And the kids splash pad was great and was a big reason why I booked this hotel for my little ones. Overall, very happy.

My family stayed at the Diplomat while we are renovating our apartment on South Ocean Drive. It's a gorgeous hotel, we look forward to coming back and having our friends stay too. Enjoyable pools and the best hotel gym ever! Love Diplomat Prime, Point Royal and La Playa's food and view of the beach! Everything superb! Wonderful staff!

A nice facility for sure. Rooms are nicely appointed. Pools are excellent. Service is great. Food is just okay. With the large convention center attached, the place feels more business than resort.

Really nice place. Starting for 5 days. Kid friendly pool and water slides. Food, drink and snacks are way expensive though. Lots of great food outside the hotel though. Would come back for sure.

It is a very very expensive hotel. I would not have stayed unless I had a meeting here. They charge every single little service. You'll get a separate bill for wifi, business center and so on. (printing out shuttle voucher costed me $3) Come here only if you are rich enough and willing to pay extra for everything.

Beautiful Resort and rooms are very clean. We had an ocean front balcony on the 21st floor and lived sitting out there in the evening watching the storm in the distance and the moon and clouds over the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They would help you find a place to sit in pool area or on the beach and set everything up for you. Our only complaint about this resort are the prices. Expect to pay 2 to 3 times more than anywhere else at every restaurant and even the small store. Also the 18% gratuity is added to every food and drink purchase.

This was a great stay for the holiday weekend. We booked the ocean view minus the balcony and it was amazing waking up to that view every morning. The room was absolutely amazing. I love the shampoo and conditioner they offer. The soap is a little drying though. The bed is so comfortable! The outlets have USB ports in case you left yours at home.
There is construction going on, but we didn't really notice except for one day. We normally left the room by 9am, but when we left at noon? That's when we heard the construction noises.
Check in went smoothly. They were quite friendly at the front desk. I guess my only gripe is that there is a $26 daily garage fee AND a $26 daily hotel fee. I wasn't expecting to spend an extra $52 a day on top of what I had already paid. And the wifi wasn't all that good for streaming Netflix.

Very nice, modern and good amenities. The staff was superb, friendly, helpful! This place is beautiful and has everything you could want. Convenience shopping within a mile walking distance (Walmart, Publix, etc). I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for a few MINOR things but not enough where I wouldn't come again: You get 4 beach chairs which is great but, you have to pay to rent the umbrella; there was so much seaweed that afloated ashore there should be a crew to at least recycle just tad bit (I know there's only so much you can do with nature lol); and the food is very pricey. I will definitely return and even recommend. It was a great experience!

It looks beautiful, the staff is very friendly, good equipment in the gym. The building doesn't look very well maintained, you have to pay for umbrella on the beach, didn't have coffe cups in the room.

Stayed here with my wife and kids before a cruise. Ocean view room was great. Staff were very friendly from the valet team out front the the front desk and the house staff.Everything about the property was top notch.

From the moment I was greeted, to the time I left - what a tremendous spa experience. Relaxing, efficient and my facial was one of the best I've ever had. Shirley provided the service, she's worked at the spa for 12+ years. And Phyllis and Teceka at the front were very warm and accommodating.

Dinner at Geoffrey Zakarian's new restaurant was wonderful. Oysters and dinner were great. My mom ordered the snapper and it was very overdone so they comped the entire dish and gave us a free dessert. Great service!

First time back in over a decade. What a nice place for the kids.

You will need to get wristbands from the desk to access the pool, which is enormous. Can I say that? Or is it "pools", plural? The top pool is on the same level as the lobby. It is a large rectangular pool that has a glass bottom in the middle through which one can see the pool below. That lower pool is larger and has a barbell shape, with the top pool crossing over the lower one between the two "bells". The lower is fed by twin waterfalls on either side of the top pool, where it crosses over the lower one.

(Wow, hope that was suitable confusing...)

Additionally, the kiddee area has a water slide and splash area while the adult area at the top pool has a bar where you can get a whiskey with a splash!

The lower pool has a Mexican themed cantena. The food was good and the drinks looked festive. (frozen drinks abounded in the pool area.)

I didn't use either the hot tubs or the cabanas, but both looked presentable.

One thing I really, really liked were the labels on the restrooms on the lower level. "Mens" and "Womens", the plural of the plural! Kinda like "All yall" where I grew up.

The beach was another story! Sargassum, brown algae, was thick and covered much of the beach and water. While a hardy few braved it, the vast, vast majority gave it a pass and stuck to the pool. Is Florida's unremitting development finally pushed it over the edge? Be prepared to stick to the pool.

The hotel has several places to eat, the cantena, a steakhouse, a cafe, and a Japanese restaurant. Additionally, several bars, a coffee shop, and a sundries shop serving convenience store fare, are available.

Prime is a steakhouse, and a good one. The meat was aged and tender. The service was brusque, yet congenial. The price was not for the faint at heart. The Palm in LA or Smith and Wollensky's in NYC would be comparable.

The cafe serve breakfast, but only a buffet when I went. The buffet wa delightful, but the pricing was again at a resort level.

TIPS WERE ALWAYS INCLUDED ON THE PREPARED BILL. Normal procedure in Europe and Australia and becoming more fashionable here in the states. I do wonder how much of the "tip" goes to the house...

Not much of a choice if you want to dine outside of the Hotel. We didn't even try; looked like a healthy drive or cab ride away.

Our suite was spacious and had a lovely view of the ocean and a balcony with chairs, table, and a lounge chair. Supremely serene.

We had a corner suite, on our side of the resort, north, a tall building blocked the view to the north. I don't know about those with a southern exposure.

The bed gave me one of my best sleeps in weeks and the shower was pure pleasure - good volume from both the shower head and the hand wand.

The living room had a fold out couch that was also comfortable.

The room had a Nespresso machine, several pods, creamers, sugar, and sweeteners, which was a nice touch. Odd, however, no cups. Water glasses were provided, but they did little to protect the hand from pipping hot coffee. I recommend "liberating" a cup from the cafe. Unfortunately, it disappears when the room is cleaned, so be sure to "liberate" a fresh one each evening before retiring.

Our machine was also put together wrong and unusable, but easily fixed. Perhaps more of a bother if you don't usually do that sort of thing.

Overall service was very courteous and competent. When mistakes were made, they were quickly rectified.
