Let s just say I love this hotel but it has a lot of flaws... why is everything so Expensive ... the drinks are outrageous expensive around 15 to 17 a drink so times 2 people u do the math ... yes over 160$ a day for me and my wife just for a couple of drinks on the beach ... then it comes resort fees and stupid parking fees for 35 $ a day so I m staying for a week we are Loking around 500$ to 600 on fees just for resort and parking .... at night there is not entertainment or live music on the resort .... dead zone at night .... we going to be over 3000 $ for 6 days and for that money I could went somewhere else and have more fun ... my point is unless u are rich don t come here cause everything is a arm and a leg .... no WiFi common lol no breakfast lol nice resort but should went to the Bahamas for maybe the same price or a little more .... I know I m just a number that just comes in and out and u guys don t care but my 3000$ Going somewhere else next time ... beach staff 5 stars but u don t even get a umbrella in the heat ... resort fee lol .... nice resort but needs changes to make guest feel more at home and not looking for they wallet ... ....... I would come back if I hit the lotto lol 4 stars

Great food,great beach,went there for orange bowl after party and had lots of fun

We were so excited to be here! Upon checkin - it was the little things, forgot our silver bracelets - not very friendly. The room was clean, however as soon as we got in - we didn t have any toilet paper! Had to call guest services. Had to call to get room clean and then did not receive bath towels. It felt like one thing after another and we hardly ever write reviews, but felt like this warranted one. The pool was a loud party- fun , but not for kids. (Language, inappropriate music ... trash, cups all by the pool. ) we travel a lot and have high expectations but also think you should get what you pay for.
A little disappointed

It is impressive and very well located. I found the USD 35 breakfast very expensive and the buffet is very, very limited. There is almost more variety in my house in the morning.

A large modern comfortable hotel located right on the beach. A nice pool complex in front of the hotel from the beach. A large congress center at the hotel. The only disadvantage is, in my opinion, a fairly high price per night, but if someone has no financial restrictions, this is a great place for a holiday and at any time of the year.

Overpriced and overated. Rooms need upkeep. The crowd is tacky. The hotel is overcrowded and going downhill. Lobby is nice, and hotel is good for conferences. Don't stay here go somewhere else if you're looking to spend your hard earned money in a prestine classy hotel. There were 3 crime related incidents I witnessed in two days here for a conference. Watch your bags, don't use their wifi to avoid getting hacked, and watch your children.

The place is beautiful. The workers are very friendly and attentive. Whenever I visit Ft. Lauderdale I will try to stay at the Diplomat.

We had a great time here with our ILA Convention local 1422.

World class beach resort....as Good as any in Hawaii

If I could give this resort 0 stars I would. I called several weeks ago and booked my stay directly with the reservations department. I paid for part of my stay with points and part with a card. I knew my travel plans may change so I made sure to ask about the cancellation policy in which I was assured that I would be refunded if I did indeed need to cancel. Yesterday I called the hotel to cancel my reservation and was told that I can get a refund but I would need to contact the accounting department tomorrow since they were already closed. Today I contacted the accounting department and they refuse to refund me for my stay on June 2nd because my deposit was non refundable. They then transferred me back to the reservations manager where he basically said he can t help me and was incredibly rude. I then asked for his name and he laughed and transferred me a voicemail! I am a diamond member and stay at Hilton properties every week for business and this property has by far the worst customer service I ve ever spoken to. I would have never booked this property if I was given the correct information that the deposit is non refundable. BEWARE they will tell you what you want to hear to book the reservation!!

Visiting a friend at this hotel. Got drinks and food by the pool. Awesome!

The spa is one of the best I ever been! Service and amenities are amazing

Excellent staff, friendly professional. The deluxe king was amazing and the wrap around balcony and the view was awesome. I look forward to my next visit

They had a couple nice craft beers on tap poolside. Bit of construction going on at the moment, but still a nice view and decent venue. Beautiful inside in lobby area.

I am in love! The staff was friendly. Check in was fast and the room was beautiful. I was given a upgrade and the view of the ocean was breathtaking! I must visit again!

I was there for a conference. The rooms were very nice, although expensive

The place was very beautiful. And I would have gave it 5 Stars had we got the room I we were promised which was Ocean View but upon checking in we got partial View. Also the hotel handled the situation we had with our room and they were very responsive and I applaud them for their professionalism and quick action. With the resort fee charge daily of $30 you are entitled to get a beach chair set up and table however the umbrella is $20 extra. I would stay again but not as long because the food was good but a little bit pricey at $50 a piece for breakfast.

Great hotel. We have many clients that stay here and all have had great things to say.

UPDATE! If you can do anything, work Diplomat massage into your plans, therapist Olin is wonderful! Take part in steam room, sauna, showers, Uber dreamy digs & relaxation room with a jasmine tea with million dollar views of the ocean!! Beautiful, relaxing spa SUPER recommend, if your an Hilton Honors member, extra perks! This Diplomat is 5 Star, all the way! I have a scheduled spa appointment at the spa on Friday for a massage!!! It s a 2 min walk from our hotel! Super excited, I m need need of a glorious massage, they better wow me Diplomat or have me feeling like a delicious, wet noodle before my full complete review after. Will be pictures to an extent, no cellphone allowed in the spa , so Unplugged! I m a Hilton Honors member, which I get mad perks! To be continued....

The hotel staff was very attentive to all of our needs. Amanda, at the front desk, made our weekend extra special from the minute we arrived. My wife and I both mentioned how we both had a great massage as well. Finally, if you have a chance, you must have dinner at Monkitail. You will not be disappointed!

Was there for a meeting. Excellent hotel with many amenities. The meeting rooms were very good. Food was good

Outstanding Customer Service throughout the entire property. The hotel looks fabulous, public spaces are very accommodating and offers great dining options. We had a great vacation experience.

Excellent modern rooms and clean hotel/resort throughout. Nice Ocean View rooms. Drinks at the bar are a bit pricy but it's expected.

The rooms have been renovated but are extremely small. Flew Spirit which requires printing of boarding pass, so I had to use the business center. While the room included internet access the business center does not. Total cost for a couple of minutes of the internet and to print 3 boarding passes over $17. Great way to nickle and dime a Hilton Honors member that stays in Hilton hotels often. Never had this happen at any other Hilton hotel or any hotel for that matter.

Beautiful hotel, amazing pools, right on the beach!

The renovations they did here were great. The Presidential Suite was a nice little stay-cation for a few days.

Always wanted to go this hotel since I lived in South Florida, I was finally able to do it on memorial day weekend. But I think the hotel is overrated and expe since for the quality you get. There are better and cheaper options around.

Beautiful views, nice rooms, friendly staff. The beach is not very spacious, but there's enough room for everyone and if it gets crowded, the pool has lots of room and is very cool worth two levels.

I had a Double Stack Cheeseburger and it was amazing. I even had to inconvenience the waiter which was surprisingly eager to help every time. Beautiful scenery all around with the beach right there. Plenty to do here or in the area.

Rooms are beautiful. Pools are great. Beach is very private. Attendants were great. Food was overpriced.

The resort was great, the pricing for everything inside a little absurd.

Not to mention getting stuck on the elevator for over 5 minutes while pressing the alarm button (which the automated message system instructed me to do) with no results. Eventually started moving but showed up 5 minutes late for a business meeting. Not a great start to my trip.

I did like the resort, but no one asked how my stay was or acknowledged it when I told them the elevator broke down with me in it.

Very well maintained, with a lot of attention to detail. VERY nice rooms, and obviously right by the beach. I'd high recommend this hotel.

Attended a conference at the resort. I was very happy with the amenities and the layout of the meeting rooms.

Absolutely miss The bearded Latin gay man that worked front desk and at night the phone service and Gloria they always made my stay wonderful there! Recently stood there and was asking for them, the bearded man made my anniversary incrediably special returning now to different and ghetto staff made me re think ever coming back here. I forgot to be given breakfast vouchers after purchasing my room that included them, the front desk agent was dismissive and rude. Never never again

Only stayed 1 night but a great experience. we had lunch at playa and it was lovely. in the evening ate at the bar in pointe royale during oyster hour (1730-1930) and have oysters $2 each and reduced prices drinks. We will definitely be back!
Beach was beautiful - sea was so clear and loads of fish. we brought our own beach umbrella but beach chairs included in the resort fee of $35. Also used the paddle board for an hour (1 hour of non motorised water sports included per room per day).
Room was well furnished and bathroom was huge with a separate toilet / shower / bath.

45 minutes waiting at the valet. They charge me anyway. I was served by the valet manager and he say everyone is paying . So I pay more than self parking and wait 45 minutes. That s the Curio standard?

Gorgeous facility. Staff went above & beyond. Was there for a conference. Rooms were great, nicely appointed.

Nice resort at the beach, excellent service, great views

The location right on the beach is excellent. I had issues when I upgraded, didn't get what I paid for, so I insisted until they met my needs. The bathroom could use a bit more scouring as I had to call about a few spots that were not cleaned. Overall good but very pricey.

I'm a tough critic when it comes to hotels. Objectively, the Diplomat hit all the marks: professional, precise, and prompt service; wonderful views; the convenience of several food options and beach access. Subjectively, I felt the rooms weren't sufficiently updated and the on-site costs were too high (a classic case of knowing they have guests trapped, so they charge guests more).

Member of Hilton. we rented 7 rooms for Memorial weekend, and due to the tropical storm, weather conditions got worst we cancelled 5 of the 7 rooms, we requested to get a credit for another day, and it was denied, charging us one night plus fees, I am very dissapointed with the hotel, not taking in consideration de weather and that we use this hotel in multiple occasions. Very dissapointed

Attended a 3 day conference here, the venue is huge and immaculately kept. Sessions ranged from a few dozen to a few hundred in a single room.

The venue has a fun way of letting attendees know the next session is beginning, playing a small xylophone and walking through the halls.

Staff were responsible for feeding few hundred and did it with grace, setting up and breaking down with speed, keeping the food line moving and freshly stocked, plates cleared and guests happy.

Food was very good, especially considering the sheer number of people. Each meal was a different themed and always had a meat, green, sides, and dessert option.

Excellent stay and phenomenal customer service from Concierge, front desk, hotel bar and restaurant staff! They made my birthday vacay a very memorable one!! Thank you!

Really bad hotel way to much restrictions for the expensive price that they required for the room per night.

We were here for a corporate event recently. The hotel was more than accommodating. There was adequate parking and the staff was all smiles the entire time.

Valet is crazy, it took far too long to get to the entrance of the hotel because it is a free-for-all with cars everywhere. Check in line was a bit long, but our rooms were ready 2 hours early so that was cool. Pool deck staff were all extremely helpful, great people and very accommodating. Nice property, would like to go back on a non-holiday weekend though.

It is a wonderful place. Both its service staff and the installation truly felt happy, we had unforgettable days, my congratulations to the Administration and to all the staff.

Unbelievable is all I have to say! We went their last year and we had to wait at least 45 friggin minutes for valet. When we saw our rented 2012 Ford Flex finally arrive it was like heaven. We had small kids with us and they fell asleep on More

The hotel is amazing. We loved the service from Dan he was very attentive and the drinks from Angela were on point!! Drink prices were high but that s what we expected when we booked! We ate at the diplomat prime for dinner and ordered the A5 Kobe strip which was out of this world! The service and food were amazing!

Mid stay review. Staying here for a conference. I've been very impressed with the staff. They are very curtious and very responsive. I'm a little disappointed that my balcony cannot be used during my stay. They said it was being waterproofed. All the rooms that I know of are like this. Other than that the room is very nice. Clean and well appointed.

Not what it used to be.

Beautiful, expensive hotel that we have been to many times in the past, but...

We booked an oceanfront room through Travelocity and they accepted that reservation from Travelocity. However, instead of honoring the reservation they put us into a side view room which would be fine except that had been a cheeper option on Travelocity and we paid more for ocean view.

Back when they were part of Westin your bags went up with you after you checked-in. Now they go into a que and you wait. We waited 20 minutes and then went to lunch and ended up waiting 2 hours for our luggage.

Worst of all, when they were Westin they addressed customer concerns. Now management just argues with you.

And half their restaurants are closed on a Saturday night?!
