New rooms are decorated very nice work new trendy furniture and beautiful views. Renovations down the hall are somewhat noisy, but the huge TVs distract from the sound of power tools and hammers. Room service is better than average, but not great.

Rooms are very nice as is the pool, beach and hot tubs. The only negative of this place is the prices for drinks and food. I know there needs to be a markup at a hotel but I have paid more for beer here than I have at several NFL stadiums.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a business meeting. The hotel is a first-class resort with a beautiful beachfront location. The rooms are spacious and I believe all rooms have balconies. Or at least the majority of them seem to. The beds are typical Hilton quality beds. It looks like the hotel was recently renovated. The high-speed internet works well. There are a number of different dining options at typical hotel prices. The daily Resort fee includes the use of beach chairs and kayaks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We were not told the hotel had construction going on and we woke up to the sound of drilling. We were moved to what we were told was a "quieter" room, but you can still hear the noise and watch construction workers repelling up and down in front of our balcony. I didn't know that construction workers could look right in our room and was walking around in my underwear. This morning, one of the pieces of the lobby glass ceiling broke and there is now an area cordoned off in the lobby with a security guard keeping everyone away. I'm afraid to walk through the lobby in case more of the ceiling falls down. The construction noise is also bad outside so you can't sit by the pool in peace. We were given a discount on our room, which was nice, but we wouldn't have stayed here if we knew how much construction was going on.
This is a very nice twist to the Hilton experience. The hotel is very well-kept and has a lot of great food experiences. It's a very trendy hotel but still family friendly. The oysters were delicious and Gary at the restaurant was very attentive. My criticisms would be letting people play loud music on the beach and the lack of towels. We had no towels when we walked into our room. The next day, no face towels. Pool service is supposed to go until 7pm but at 6:30 there was not a single staff member on the pool deck. And not a single towel.
What a beautiful hotel and attach convention center. We were pleasantly surprised by the luxury us accommodations. The restaurant prime was really exceptional. Located with views on the Atlantic ocean
Really beautiful hotel on the water in Hollywood Florida. The lobby is nothing short of spectacular (especially in the evening when moon is shining through the atrium ceiling). We stayed in a suite high up which had a bank of windows facing the ocean, with spectacular views. There is tasty food on premises and the hotel staff is super attentive and polite
Worst hotel experience ever. First, came here for a three day conference . I arrived after a long day of travel to the Diplomat which is a Hilton Honors member. Let me preface by saying that i am Hilton Honors member AND a travel agent. When i arrived and waited in a long check-in line only to be informed that my confirmed reservation was cancelled (not by me) by the hotel. No notification, no call whatsoever. Then they said they were overbooked. Mind you i flew down specifically for a conference being held at the hotel. Then the Front of House Manager- Fabiola Francois - came out and offered no help, was rude and generally unprofessional. Worse yet, the Hilton Honors supervisor I complained too on the phone said: " we can call the Doubletree for you!"
Now the Diplomat is a four star hotel (allegedly) and they wanted to send me to a Doubletree. If they treat Hilton Honors member this way imagine they would treat you if you're a non-member. The only professional at this property is the Head of Security - Edwin - whom this Fabiola called when I protested my atrocious treatment. Edwin diffused the situation tactfully and they (voila!) found a room... Very disappointed in my new HHonors membership and I should cancel it.
$5 (!) iced teas and $ 84 for three small tacos , 2 corona lights, 1 regular chicken sandwich and bad guacamole. Seriously?!? This may be the straw that makes me cancel HHonors membership. As a travel agent I will never book another Curio property
Very nice hotel but VERY expensive. 18% gratuity included with everything. A beer would be $7-8 and lunch would be $20 per person. Breakfast was $35 per person for the buffet. They have a snack shop too but WAY OVER PRICED. $5 for a coke, $4 for cereal bowl, $4 for a pop tart, etc.... We also paid for an ocean view room but it was locked/boarded for painting purposes. So, we couldn't use the balacony the entire stay and had painters in our windows:( Very dissatisfied with that. Honestly, will not stay there again.
We joined family who were staying at the Diplomat Beach Resort for dinner at the Diplomat Prime Steakhouse. Exceptional service. Relaxing atmosphere. Would return. Highly recommended.
Scam Artist My fanily and i just spent 2 days at this location with a purchase of 5 drinks and spending a total of about $1,000 I am not one complain about spending money specially when my family and myself are enjoying it, which we did enjoy our stay. But i am one to complain about spending money when the system is setup in such a way that its forced and overly priced for the services you receiving. 30 dollars for parking each day About 100 dollars in just 5 drinks 20 per drink more or less. If you want to drink in the pool area you are forced to buy the hotels drink there are guard dogs constantly watching making sure noone brings drinks. Personally i am on vacation and i could do what the hell i want including bringing my own drinks. O by the way they are nice enough to provide chairs in the beach area but if you want to go get away from the beating sun you would to pay 15 dollars for an umbrella. Its florida im sure your probably gona need an umbrella. The fridge in the room is just big enough to fit 1 pair of sneakers statistically made in my book so you are forced to buy their food and drinks. The hotel was nice, the pool was nice, the service was good. But this is one hotel i would never return to.
The place was beautiful! The construction at the time was a bit of bad taste for the place. The ocean view room was nice. The restaurant by the pool not great. Had a hair on my food! The Japanese place on the top floor was great. If you want to sit at the beach all day and by the pool it's perfect. Not much to do outside the hotel.
Exceptional, friendly service. This place is prime beach location with an amazing "back porch". Staff was very helpful even while it was extremely busy.
Here for New Year's celebration. They won't let "non-guests" (aka guest=room holders) on the pool deck. Meanwhile, there is no special event out there, there is no one out there, and the lobby is a madhouse. Why? I asked the front desk and they said they had to think of their guests first. I AM a guest. I spent $200 on dinner, another 80 on drinks at the bar and intend to go to the midnight celebration where we will spend 100s more. Terrible planning, bad customer service. Otherwise, a beautiful hotel.
The view is great, the hotel is clean and undergoing renovation. It's not worth the money, at all. For a place that charges ~$200/night, the amenities are very lackluster. The food at any of the restaurants is okay at best, but the price is $$$$. The value is simply not there. Perhaps the renovation will eventually fix the rest of the place, they say that they're working to make it "iconic" again. Right now, it's forgettable, bordering on being remembered for the wrong reasons.
Great place to relax and enjoy your vacation ! Kid friendly for sure ! Towel and chair service was great ! Staff was overall friendly with a few exceptions !
The food however is extremely over priced ! So my tip for you is to have breakfast at Patagonia which is close by and lunch at padrinos especially if you re Latin American and Brazilian !
I cant even put one star because i had reservations for may 15 -17 -2020 and i have left messages and email all year andno one has ever contacted me me . I paid for the weekend and the hotel has been closed. I wont of done this is someone would of contacted me . Thank u
Great location, right on the beach. Hotel was great. 1 star removed because the rooms were little small. Another star removed because of the stupid window in the bathroom overlooking the bedroom. But otherwise the hotel was clean, nice swimming pool and places to eat.
Beautiful nice hotel complex, full service level 5 Located on the first line, right on the ocean. Cons: very dangerous balconies. It's really dangerous with small children.
Beautiful, upscale hotel on the beach with friendly staff and clean, modern rooms. There are multiple dining options within the resort and a relaxing spa. I felt that the spa services were slightly overpriced, but relaxing. The pools are fun, with convenient beach access. Comfortable beach chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas availabe for a small fee. The use of non-motorized watercraft was included with the resort fee, but there are other watersports available to rent for reasonable fees. We loved the jet skis!
Beautiful hotel with awesome oceanfront views. The rooms were clean and the service outstanding in accordance with what you would expect from a high end hilton brand.
I was very disappointed, we stood there for our 27th wedding room 2052. First, the electronic key did not work so I had to go to the desk for a manual key. Secondly went to the room the sliding door latch was broke, third the cover on the toilet bolts were missing, fourth the extension cord was hanging and had some stain on it, fifth I used the safe and it would not open, security came fixed and broke again, sixth went down to the pool and beach and was told I needed to go to the consigliere for bands what an inconvenience and seventh I heard house keeping in the hallway say we don t have towels so the made our room and did not put fresh towels. We didn t notice and my wife had to use an hand towel to dry off after taking a late night shower. I have pics. I m a Hilton Honors Member and have the credit card very disappointed.
I will give a Five star for this hotel but what happened today is unacceptable, I used the hotel phone to call my family in New York City , when I checked out I see a charge for $252 besides the $77 for the phone call, when I asked the rep what the charge for she said it's for using the phone, when I asked where this fee is listed no one at the front desk including the manager didn't know the answer, I called reservation to ask if they know if there is a fee for using hr phone they said it's $10 and change.
Very nice entrance into the hotel. Lobby areas were nice and cozy. They have tables to accommodate all your mobile or tablet devices. Food was delicious and the drinks were fabulous.
The diplomat beach resort is right next to Hollywood beach and is one of the best hotels I've ever been to! Very nicely decorated and the service of the employees was spectacular.
I was looking spending a weekend at the newly remodeled Diplomat, we visited this hotel before remodeling and a few times for Sunday brunch and always had a great time. What a disappointment it was !!!!! First we were given a double bed room although the reservation clearly stated Delux ocean front King size bed, when we came down to the reception the associate not only did not apologize but stated there were only those rooms available , I asked to speak to the manager and after back and force the room was granted.... mind you, the manager came out ,never introduced herself and just did something at the computer and left. When you reserve the room it says you will have 2 bottles of water the day of arrival , there was no water in the room and when I called the room service they said " you need to come down and pick up your water the caffe down stairs , but it's closed now" I guess you have to go grocery shopping before I check in the hotel. There was no coffee machine in the room... and that's the new policy as well. On my Expedia receipt it said we would have VIP internet and VIP check in... the internet is not VIP everybody gets it on arrival ... regarding VIP check on all it means you can cut people in front of you and come to receptionist ... great ! We learned about it when we stood in line for 15 min ... but even if I knew in advance I would not dare to cut people in front of me ... my parents taught me better! The brunch selection was very basic to say the least, but the price went up... no cold cuts ,no lox , the breads were stale, no veggies... The only bright moment was the waitor who was very polite and accommodating !!! The remodeling is truly beautiful but it is not worth it if the service and everything else got worse, unfortunately. It was a great disappointment for 340+ $ a night.
I booked the Diplomat through Priceline for a stay June 26 - 29. Priceline unilaterally cancelled my reservation claiming Covid-19. I called Hilton and they told me the Diplomat would be open those dates and they would be happy to book me a room at $400 more for the stay but would not honor the same rate. Obviously a way to get rid of bookings at a lower rate. I then got a massive run around from both Hilton and Priceline. Too bad, I am one of the few willing to travel often.
I stayed at the diplomat for my honeymoon I have to said the hotel was great , but the manager of the valet parking Greg from Towne Park is the worse and most disrespectful guy in that property. Treated me horrible and left me talking by myself. I don t know how you have a guy like this in your property. Alex who is a supervisor treated me with more respect. Thank you Alex !
I'd give it 4.4. The hotel was great, had a oceanfront room with a balcony. Staff really needs some work though. Also, I was charged triple my rate at checkout. That was annoying. The beach side bar is a good spot. Was not too impressed with this spot but I'd probably stay again. I called down my car to valet and no one went and got it.
This is supposedly an upscale resort, however the only thing upscale about it is the prices. The resort is located right next to the beach which is great, the aesthetic are lovely, nice sized room. Now to the bad, didn't not received much help from guest services when we returned to our room to find all of our personal items, including clothing, missing. We assume housekeeping thrash our items and prepared the room as if we had checked out, even though we were booked for an additional night. Spoke with the front desk manager, who assured us they are looking into this, only to never hear back from them. I mean they were trying to convince me that someone else access my room and took my water from the fridge along with my toothbrush and other miscellaneous stuff, like really! Anyways, nice looking hotel but disappoint with the service. I will not be staying here again, for the expensive fees like $45/day for valet, I can find better service elsewhere in SoFlo. Sorry for the long review, hope someone finds this helpful.
Hi number 1 they charge resort fee Number 2 the ac was very loud Number 3 there was hair in the shower Number 4 there was big buts all over the balcony
A paradise retreat towering over the clear, turquoise ocean. Another Curio property that never disappointed. Staff treated you like family but was incredibly helpful and professional. Convenient to Hollywood Blvd for evenings out and local foods. Yet the hotel restaurants are outstanding. For all the feel of Miami without the overcrowding, here's where to escape.
Picked up a passenger and dropped them off back at the hotel as well. Security guards seemed lost and the employees working the front door, drop off area were slow.
Elegant hotel, worth the higher price. Room has window that opens to the bed area, not always convenience. Not all employees by the cabanas are helpful. Over all, the experience was great.
