Great location and access to the beach. Food and restaurants in the hotel were overpriced but everything else was spectacular

Great resort with an amazing service. This hotel needs to promote more that is very family/kid friendly. It has a small water section just for kids, but the top pool (Yes, has a top and a bottom pool with a waterfall) is perfect for kids all ages, because is not too deep on most of the extension of it. The restaurants are amazing (The type you see only in Las Vegas) and the amenities are enough to keep you inside all the time. Across the hotel they have a huge parking lot adjacent to restaurants on the water. Also great food selections there is you are looking for a more relaxed dining. The service is exceptional and the availability of chairs at the pool is just perfect. The views to the ocean or the city are breathtaking. The only thing I found not so good (And is not a big deal) is that is close to nothing if you plan to take a walk somewhere else. Still I m already planning a comeback to see what I missed in my last visit.

The place for large gatherings or conventions. Parking is expensive and charged double if you come and go.

We stayed for 3 days. What a fantastic place! Fantastic location, friendly staff, super clean! It was very stormy outside, but had a great time inside. Went to Monkitail for dinner and it was fantastic!

Everything you desire! Nice view, nice rooms, nice people, spacious, comfortable. Will come back and do recommend!

If I could rate a ZERO STAR I would.. the amount of money that I spent on the room, food and drinks all week to have a slap in the face over the weekend when workers allow their friends/family to sneak in.. pass back bracelets and then bring their own food/drinks in and completely take over pool area is RIDICULOUS. We complained to the door guys, but they didn t seem to bother as I m sure they knew who these people were. It was not 2 or 3 people.. there were at least 20 people doing this. Multiple guests who were staying were extremely upset. YOUR PAYING guest should be your priority, not these people! On our third night stay the alarms went off at 1am, we were told that we were the only floor with this issue, not the case... the floor below had same issue and NOONE knew what was going on, front desk wouldn t answer their phone. This place is a JOKE!

Beautiful place. Stayed here for a convention. The bar and convenience store are really expensive. I suggest walking down the street to the 7-11 for snacks and coffee instead.

Monkitail has amazing sushi. Great drinks. And really great deserts.

FIND ANOTHER RESORT!!!!! I took a short getaway to relax, I contacted the reservation department to book an ocean view room in a quite section of the hotel. Kathy was her name, suggest I go with the partial ocean view room, we looked at the pics online, and it appeared to be beautiful, with a great view of the ocean. When I arrived, First impression, staff was rude, and appeared unconcerned about customer service, the first lady I spoke with at the check-in desk was not friendly at all, never smiled, appeared very annoyed, and robotic, I had to ask the man standing by the luggage desk to get my bags, and he looked confused as if it wasn't his job. After my unimpressive check-in I went up to my room which was next to the elevator (not quite), and did not have an ocean view at all. I quickly returned this time I got another lady named Phaola, I explained the problem, and I must say she took her time trying to find me the room I reserved, and paid for, finally she tells me, " we don't have a partial ocean view room", the only room she could only offer me a part Inter-coastal part street view. WHAT!!! I paid to see the ocean from my room. I then asked for a refund, not possible, ok can I speak with a manager. No manager ever came to speak with me, she offered me a full ocean view room, but of course I had to pay for the upgrade, and she kept trying to force me to take the mini bar key, I knew not to accept it, based on other reviews were customers were charged for the mini bar, and said they did not use it. WOW!!!!
This was only the beginning... this expensive room was the same size as the other, and the decor was nothing special, there was a musty smell and smoke like odor in the room, and the awful puke green carpet, and matching couch reminded me of my first apartment in Jr. College. This whole check in process took about an hour, and just when I was about to shower, and relax, I realized I had no luggage... I then had to go back down to the front desk and get my own luggage, the same guy was just standing there, and when i said Sr, I'll take my own luggage up to my room now, he simply said Ok, and pointed in the direction were all of the bags were sitting, I could have taking any bag, he didn't care. I thought ok I can finally relax, maybe I'll go relax on the beach, not a good experience either, the beach was full of seaweed, and this 4 star hotel was doing nothing to even clear the small section that the hotel sat on. SMH.... The pools were nice, but full of kids jumping, and playing, and it was almost impossible to get a lounge chair apparently if you put a towel on a chair then its yours all day. My room was often so full of cigarette smoke in this none smoking facility that I couldn't stand it..... I could go on, and on but lets just say it simply wasn't a pleasant experience, but I continued to try to make the best of it, after all I was paying $1000 for 3 nights. The best service at this hotel was provided by the night valet guys, they gladly answered any questions, and always had a smile. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone every, I would have preferred to have stayed at one of the motels on the boardwalk, and yes I said Motel...

Great hotel, amazing all the way around. The Front desk is always pleasant and friendly. Rhodes and Florencia over by the pool cabana are amazing as well, top notch service!

Great hotel on the beach in Hollywood. Convenient to FLL airport. Was here when Katrina became a hurricane. Was very safe. Hotel was the only business around to have power for a couple of days.

Killer two floor gym!!

One of the best gyms in any hotel that I've stayed. Lots of equipment. Both weights machines treadmills. Some could be updated but most of it's pretty good. And in good working condition and clean.

It's definitely a high 4 star hotel. We had an ocean front room with a wrap around patio. At night time we had a very nice view of the city in the intercoastal.

A couple of things just for the room that the one phone was not working. It wouldn't charge. The one and only chair in the room does not look that comfortable. See the picture. Also I tried calling the front desk several times when there was no answer or just kept on ringing and ringing. That was a bit annoying since I couldn't get the internet working.

THIS IS NOT A RESORT !!! THIS IS JUST A VERY EXPENSIVE HOTEL Worst Ever !!!! What a frauds!!!! Expensive hotel VALET PARKING 45 DOLLARS PER DAY ...food expensive alcohol and beverages expensives one bottle water was $ 5.70 really??? Also my famili who live in miami came to visited me they couldn't get into the pool bcus they are not hotel guests..I paid 500 for 2 nights i can take who ever i want !!! The a/c wasnt working right . The pool was ok ..the beach was all dirty really suck !!! And the pool area for kids was really cheap and small also in the room we didn't have any microwave so we couldn't overheat our FOOD !! They force you to buy that expensive food at the hotel !!! VERY EXPENSIVE HOTEL NOT THE BEST CHOICE !!!!!

I bid for this hotel on Priceline....they accepted my bid and there is an understanding that taxes will also be added.....well guess again! There is a resort fee plus a fee to park your car in the garage. So let the bidder be ware. Also we were given the room behind the elevator shaft.....very noisy. View was great is about all I can say for this hotel.

Nice hotel, friendly reliable staff, clean overall.

It was my first time visiting FL with my family and first all the hotel is fine the only thing is that is not family friendly. Random people would go inside the hotel lobby, pool to use the amenities. The beach is dirty with seaweed and we weren't able to enjoy it as we wanted it. My fiance was bitten by some sort of bug. Pools were dirty with beer because of guests or random people were drinking in it. The hot tub was the WORST!! I came down in the middle of the night and saw two couples inside and from what I was able to see it looked like they were having sex. Overall I would never recommend this hotel it's not worth the money. Stay away from this hotel if you are with your family, kids.

Beautiful views. The balcony suites are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is they are doing some construction on the lobby. It doesn't effect anything though. Everything is still open for business. It's just a little loud in the lobby area during working hours.

I love the great service and the places to eat and chill around it, The pools are amazing. I love candy&Cones and how the beach is right next to the pool, the only problem is the jellyfish washed up on the shore but everything else is GREAT!!!

There is a white suburban right at the ramp offering expensive rides to the clients. I was trying to call ubee,when he comes to me telling me no to call uber.

Clean grounds with attentative staff. Lots of space to lay out by the pool. Very cool lobby decorations like the macaroon tree or gingerbread house.

Room service is not good beds not ready to receive the room

horrible, valet parking damaged my new car, now the hotel management refuses to pay for repairs. When I called the police to file a police report, the valets ran out there quickly to ask the police to move as they didn't want to scare the other guests.

I will have to say the facilities are very nice, but the service is really bad. Normally I do give a tip to the valets, however upon my return from Brazil I still don't have an ATM card and as I arrived at the hotel w/ my 7 yr old son at 9 pm I didn't think of getting cash to tip the valets. The valet was $40/nite charged to the room so they really shouldn't need a tip. However without it they trash your car. Welcome to Miami.

The lobby was cool. The convention center was even more cool. Wow.

I like the restaurants on the intercoastal. Bristols burgers and portico. Not too crowded, free arcade, ping pong, take your picture in old cars.

Beautiful resort, great restaurants and top notch service

Beautiful views and great choice of restaurants at resort made it nice to just stay there instead of leave. But for the price overall it wasn t worth it. Room was dirty: desk was clearly dusty, hairs found on towels in bathroom and on fridge, patio seating was filthy -had to clean with paper napkins before sitting. Room also had peeling paint on ceiling. Beach itself was narrow and pools were average size, could see them easily getting filled up on weekends. Staff was awesome tho, everyone extremely friendly and concierge gave several suggestions for restaurants when going to Miami. But for the price I d expect the room to be extremely cleaned.

One of the best hotels to work for ,great salary, great medical insurance and overall a carrier to build ! Hospitality is the number one priority ,following by customer satisfaction! Banquet department I can tell is the best team that I see in my whole life! This hotel located in Hollywood Fl. is lucky to have Mr. Jason as the head of the Banquet team!!! Kudos! !!!

Christmas Day 2015. Welcome to the world of BEDBUGS. Legs are itching, red welts from the knee cap to the ankle. Diplomat procedure is to kick the entire family out of the room, don't issue another room, call security and the Orkin Man and have family wait while their procedure is complete. The Westin Diplomat had a problem with BEDBUGS AND NOW the Hilton Chain "Diplomat" has the same problems. This was handled very very poorly.

A great hotel, very common for meetings and events. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always on point. The gym is a bit small only a few treadmills but they have plenty of dinner options, do wish they were more lunch options at the hotel itself.

If you re lucky enough to meet William at the front desk, your stay will be made. We came in after a long day of traveling and we were completely wowed. Oh yeah, the hotel is pretty amazing, too.

Not worth the money. They will place holds on your card and after two weeks still not pull the charges back. Total stay for 2 days over 800.00 charge to my card 1500!!! Beach is gross.

Very clean resort with plenty to offer for adults and children. Rooms are very clean and updated. Several restaurants are onsite or across the street (also associated with the resort).

EXCELLENT STAY!! I enjoyed Eric our waiter at Diplomat Prime. He was knowledge and very accommodating. He made us feel welcome and he took time with our table. We felt special and appreciated.
I also want to sing the praises of the staff at Pointe Royal, LD & security. One of the ladies in our party lost some property and the staff, LD & security stepped in immediately and assisted us in our se search. The property was retained and we were very grateful. I am looking forward to returning and staying longer. GREAT EXPERIENCE...THANK YOU ALL!!

How come you re coming to a very expensive hotel and in top of that parking is an extra $50 dollars per night?. Extra $80 dollars for miscellaneous , poor room quality.

So interesting! So much to do! So much to eat! The pools are really cool, you get to breathe the fine oceanic breeze as you take a dip in a luxury pool while basking in the moonlight. It's awesome. You should definitely visit with family, friends, or by yourself!

It was an incredible experience, the rooms, the view and everything about was superb. I would say miles beyond most of the other hotels around. The front desk was friendly and they had excellent restaurant. They have pretty much everything you need, you hardly have to leave the hotel for anything, besides going on the beach, which is a stone's throw away. The rooms and beds were comfortable, bathroom is spacious and we'll designed. I would fully recommend staying at this hotel!
