Unfortunately, the room we have is very close to the elevator and we hear a lot of the conversations. Other than that, the room is nice, the pools are great, and (most of) the staff are extremely friendly.

I really enjoyed the stay there the view was amazing my family and I really enjoyed ourselves and everything around it! We look forward to coming to this hotel again! We especially loved that it had a pool and it was right on the beach all you had to do was go through the pool area where the pools are and go through a gate and there the beach is! Anyways we really enjoyed our stay at the Diplomat Beach Resort Hotel and we look forward to it again!

Do not use the spa. I had a 10am apt and it doesn't open until 9:45. You don't even have time to change and get ready for the treatment and then they rush you to get ready. They also double billed me by mistake and said I had to sort it out with the CC. The men's amenities has no hot water in the sink to shave, only cold water. NO LIE! We ask 2 times for coffee cups for the room and they never came. The restaurants were great, but the front desk service was lack luster. Since the beach is so eroded, the pool is absolutely elbow to elbow. Probably good for a family with kids, but if you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway, go somewhere else.

Fabiola displayed immaculate customer service as she did everything in her power to accommodate our challenging situation. The staff gave superb customer service and are the true definition of patience and understanding. Not to mention the beautiful resort and considerate amenities available for guests. This is my third stay and i will fir sure be returning.

The hotel is very nice. However, there are other very nice hotels with far better staff and procedures. I brought my fiance with me to the hotel while I was at a conference in the hotel. Soon after I left, she went to have a shower and, when she came out, some random worker dropped down on a rope! Now, instead of dropping another level or avoiding eye contact, he sat in place and stared! She hid under the sheets and when he finally left, she immediately phoned downstairs and told them what happened. The front desk manager said, that shouldn't have happened because renovations were already completed and proceeded to offer us a $100 credit. Are you f***ing kidding me?! A premium priced hotel is literally offering a $100 to someone whose whole trip was ruined because she felt violated. The best part, we didn't even get the credit!!! When I contacted Hilton Corporate, the Diplomat management contacted us again and said that they would apply 16,000 points to my account. So, almost a week later and no bloody points!!
I also noticed people posting about the horrible check-in service at this hotel and I must also concur with this. We arrived at the hotel at 11am. They're check in is typically 4pm. Thinking that they might check us in a bit early (perhaps at 2?) because I am a HHonors member and because I was there for a large conference within the hotel and because they SAID SO, I was flabbergasted that they literally waiting until after 4 bloody PM to get us in!
I have stayed in a number of premium hotels. They all have amazing facilities, but I have never had such a disgusting experience in terms of customer service.

So happy with our stay at The Diplomat! Everything you need is right on site. The room was perfect for our anniversary celebration with both city and ocean views. All the food is amazing, the staff is above and beyond wonderful between the friendliness and recommendations I highly suggest staying at this property. Jason at the front desk was the perfect welcome with an early arrival. Susan at Playa kept us full and informed as we waited for our room to be ready. Hernan at Prime was more than helpful and incredibly wonderful and friendly at dinner. And the perfect breakfast to start the day at Point Royal the gentleman was great making sure we always had what we needed.

The atmosphere was friendly, open and inviting. I loved the atrium with all the light during the day and the fire pits in the evening. Thank you for an incredible anniversary celebration, I look forward to our next trip!

All of the horror stories and bad reviews I ve read about this place are true. Horrible customer service. Dirty rooms. When you ask for help, expect to get the run around. Expect to be lied to by staff. This has been the most stressful and hectic vacation, all because of this resort. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the headache!

The resort is a beautiful facility. The lobby area is massive, the pool area is impressive, and you can t beat the beach. However, the beach is covered in seaweed, both on the sand and 100 feet into the ocean, making it hard to get in and swim. The restaurants at the hotel are good, but pricey for what you get. Also, be prepared to stay at the resort for your trip. There aren t a lot of food options within walking distance, so you ll need to drive if you want to go off site.

Beautifully designed and badly maintained. Old wet rug on the glass roof of the walkway, florescent bulb lieing at the top of an escalator, and I say down at a table outside to eat a $16 premade eggwhite wrap to have the table actually fall apart with one slat falling to the floor. Did not meet expectations. Very nice facilities renovation underway. Lack of attention to details and service are very disappointing. Waited but no one came to the car. Had the worst cocktails ever at the main bar. Smoke alarm squeaked. Outlets did not work consistently. Burger place had a 45 minute wait and directed us to Portico which is outside and it was raining, etc. etc.

Really love resort right on the Beach. Amazingly attentive staff! Beach yoga & other fitness activities are scheduled by the hotel or just do your own thing. Great restaurants on property & 2 more just across the walking bridge that are owned by the resort. Ocean on one side, coastal water way on the other. Great conference facilities. Can't wait to return!

Great hotel with friendly staff! Located on the beach, oceanfront rooms are a must the view is spectacular. The spa is beautiful and very relaxing. It's away from all the craziness and traffic of Ocean Drive. I recommend this hotel!

Location is perfect.
customer service was some of the laziest and lackluster I have come across in over 500 nights in a hotel room.
Examples:
-maids on their iPhones and not cleaning then not returning to clean rooms
-service in restaurant automatically warranted 20%tips when the service didn't warrant it.
-food quality was subpar at $25 per person I could of drove within 10-15 and spent the same on twice the quality
-check in was great the rest of the stay left a so so mentally.

curio and Hilton branding was non existent except on the bill and on the key packet. everything about this hotel is appearing to be high end while being as cheap as possible.
For Hhonors members there is no perks for being a member except water and a thank you for being a member. Nothing special for Diamonds.

Afterthought get a paper copy of the bill and make sure you didn't get extra charges they seem to be plentiful at this property.

Very nice hotel. We stayed 2 nights prior to a cruise. Rooms are amazing and spacious. Hotel is beautiful and service is outstanding. However there is a resort fee charged automatically to the bill.

Would not want to stay there again. It is extremely expensive which is fine if the service backed it up. Not enough amenities to service the hotel. You had to get chairs by the pool by 8 a.m. or you could not find a seat for a party of four or more. The coffee shop had a 30 minute wait every morning. The line was 25 deep. The fitness center was nice but again usually had a wait. The customer service was just not good. It was as expensive as a Ritz Carlton but with disinterested staff. Hotel is beautiful and very clean. Concierge gave good recommendations for off site lunch. I usually only post my positive experiences but want other to know what to expect here.

We had a great experience at this hotel... and in fact stayed during a period when our convention had been cancelled and the weather was not 100% amazing. So, because we naturally had to spend a lot of time in the room, our very nice check-in front desk lady Jacqui made sure that we had the best room possible within allowed circumstances - and, what really made the difference, was her ability actually empathise with our situtation while staying in the hotel. She actually treated us as humans and not just another number to ring up on the roster. The pool is fabulous, the cleaning staff are super friendly, the fridge works, the shops are within walkig distance and there are miles of beach walks to explore. This is a great place for sure.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Staff is extremely rude and won't help you. Had to ask for extra linens twice before they brought them to our room and practically threw them in our faces without a word. Then I come to find that I left my necklace in the room after we checked out, and called to see if they could look. Said they would call after they looked and after an hour no call back. Had to call them for them to tell us that it wasn't there. When we said that wasn't possible as none of us had it, they just hung up. Each time we called the staff was beyond rude and said they couldn't do anything and continued to hang up. We believe the house keeper stole the necklace as we left it by the tv one day then we haven't seen it since. I would not recommend this hotel at all and highly advice anyone thinking of staying here to cross it off your list immediately.

The Diplomat Beach Resort is beautiful indeed. But if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and just enjoy some peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you. Because of its popularity, it is a great place for families that are looking to getaway. The view from the hotel rooms is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and they have a texting system do communicate with you. The hotel is neat and clean. There are many restaurants on-site in case you don't want to go try things outside. It is very close to the Hollywood boardwalk, where there many options for eating and entertainment. There is a $35 dollar self-parking fee per day as well as a $35 resort fee per day to keep in mind.

A wonderful hotel. We stayed last summer and will be back again soon. One of my favorite spots in south florida. Endless amenities The top refrigerated pool was great for the hot daytime and the heated lower pool for evening. The food was superb. The only negative part of our stay was leaving.

Little excessive for personal travel. Came here for work meeting. Not many places nearby to eat within walking distance. Pool opens 7am-7pm not convenient for those who want to dip in early or late in the humid evening.

The Diplomat is located right on Hollywood beach, pay the extra for the ocean view balcony room it's really relaxing to be able to step outside your room and hear and see the waves. All the service staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 10 different dining options on site and the few I have tried were very good. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I'd definitely consider coming back for another stay.

Nothing but issues with service. This is the worst Hilton Property I have ever stayed at as far as service goes. Not up to the level of any 4 star hotel. Requested upgrades multiple times which shouldn t be an issue when the hotel has such low occupancy. They blew me off many times and never acted like they wanted to do anything or me. They lied to me multiple times by saying that there were no rooms on floors higher than 20 when I was able to E-Check into a room on the 27th floor. They switched my room because it wasn t as good as the last room I have had in my last visit (where customer service was a lot better). They switched me into a better room but it was on a lot lower floor and all my other colleagues got better rooms without asking. I check into the room to find that there were no towels in the room (face or hand), no coffee, etc. it looks like the room was half serviced. I brought this to their attention and they told me they would bring some up in the morning. I told them how I was making an effort to sleep in, expressing I was tired from working 16 hours that day and requested they bring it later in the day. They brought the towels up to my room banging on my door at 7am in the morning for over 5 minutes. Then I get back to my room to find my keys don t work. They needed a card for incidentals. Having had worked for Hilton for over 4 years not sure why they didn t grab my card from the profile or call me. They delivered a letter under my door. Of course I was gone as many are during the day for work. After working another 13 hour day it was great to get all the way up to my room to find the door was locked out and I had to go back to the front desk. They said they don t call, which resulted in my inconvenience. I received absolutely nothing for all of these issues. They never made the situation right. They did nothing but say sorry and try to get me away from the front desk.
Possible solutions:
-Provide better/Adequate service that reflects a 4 star hotel.
-Call their guests when they are experiencing issues vs having them get all the way to their room and wonder why they cannot get into their room.
-Provide compensation/anything to make an effort to make the situation right. (Doesn t take much just effort and the resources you already have at your disposal.)
Also my other colleagues had many unresolved issues as well. Huge change from the last time we were here it seems the service is limited during slower times, which is unacceptable.

The worst service we could ever ask for!!! We were assigned to the wrong room..then asked after going twice, they told us to go get another key again. And then, my husband went down for the third time, and we come back to find out that the lady at the front desk had switched our room without telling us. Won t be coming back again. My poor kids were sitting outside when it was almost 2 in the morning.

Love it!! I have been here a couple of times and continue to do so. Clean and excellent service. I got an ocean front room. Beautiful in and out. My family love coming here. Would highly recommend it.
