The gleneagles hotel needs another star. Truly heaven .

This is a big expensive resort\conference hotel with associated golf courses. Courses are tight and busy. Golfers could try Auchterader and Crief golf courses as alternatives. Close by. Less expensive. Crief is very pretty. It is worth having a look around the complex.

Fantastic food in Andrew Fairlie. Accomodation very good. Great attention to detail all round.

Outstanding food, drink and service. I haven't stayed at the hotel (only eaten there) but from a personal point of view, I love it because it's one of the very few hotels who take coffee seriously.

Gorgeous hotel with fantastic facilities for adults and children. The rooms are huge and comfortable. There are so many places to eat and drink with cafes and restaurants inside. The swimming pool is really nice with children s area, outside hot spa pool, quiet adults only swimming pool, jacuzzi tub, steam room and sauna. The restrooms are huge with lockers, bathrooms, toilets, vanity station fully equipped with hairdryer, lotion, tissues, cotton buds and cotton pads. Cleaned towels are ready available. There are water fountains there too. You can even get kids size (according to their age too) bath robes and bedroom slippers. This hotel has a huge gym and gorgeous spa too for adults. There is a huge den for the kids to play with a mini theatre, game console, table hockey, pool table, floor snake & ladder, scrabble, board games and etc. and clean toilets. Highly recommended hotel for both golfers and non-golfers.

Amazing place unreal rooms and staff blown me away very swanky hotel

Big big disappointment. Went once when I was a child and really loved it, but 30 years later I can say I haven t enjoyed at all. Very good in amenities and food ok in restaurant. Nice shops. The star Michelin was closed. Rooms not worth the More

Absolutely fantastic in every regard. The bread trolley is a revelation and Andrew Fairlie truly magical. Room was perfect, staff amazing.

Visited the Dormie before playing the Kings. Bacon roll was superb!

Some places are like: if you have to look at the price then you can t afford it. There s some of that here. Beautiful. Excellent service. Top quality food. Place needs a new roof and the slabs / paths could do with more maintenance. But I m a flaw-spotter. Overall, it s an incredible experience.

Plenty of things to do, beautiful location and great service

Afternoon tea was amazing. Setting in the Glendevon room was lovely. Service and attention by the waiting staff was excellent.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. On this occasion I was there for a golf event on one of its three incredible courses. The Dormy Clubhouse is a joy to spend time in before and after a round. The service and finishing is world class and the resort is a must visit.

Do you know why I choose the gleneagles to celebrate my anniversary? I talked with people, I read reviews, I explored your style and website, and apparently is the best hotel in Scotland, but for who?

To celebrate my anniversary I decided to organise a "wee" surprise to my partner, so I booked a room and contacted the sales team to organise something for the occasion they OFFER us a wee present that we would have find in the room. I was really impressed about the service and glad that I opted to go to Gleneagles.

The first impression of the customer care was really great.

I booked the complementary car to pick us up to the gleneagles train station and they assured me that someone would have been there waiting for us.
When we arrived we didn't find anyone , we waited a few minutes and nothing, I had to call to the hotel to order another car while waiting in the cold, which is already unacceptable considering that we are going to a 5 * luxury hotel.

Finally the driver arrived and we hear for the first time the question :do you work here or you staying? Unbelievable... If we were wearing branded clothing and luggage would he ask? Or maybe our nationality? Or because we are not an ordinary couple? I don't know why he asked but made us feel not welcome at all, and we didn't arrived to the hotel yet.

We checked in and we were walked in the room, and we sadly discovered that there was nothing there waiting for us.

So, I went down to the reception to understand what was going on. I got attend almost immediately but the person who did so left me there and went to do other things, I stand at the reception for at least 10 minutes and I started to feel embarrassed.
The concierge who attended me in the first place finally came back but with no solution. Instead he just ignored me and after a while being standing around he started whispering with a receptionist. Who came to talk to me. I explained the situation again but I felt that they didn't believe what I was saying and I had to show the email where the sale team offered me the gift. Again I was embarrassed.

I was so frustrated and disappointed for the situation that I almost cried, but fortunately I chose the best woman in the world who made me forget about everything and enjoy our wee trip. If we had a good time is because of us, not certainly thanks to your staff neither to your treatment. You made us feel not welcome and not worth to be there.
I wonder Since when guest deserve different treatment.
Our experience was spoiled and ruined. We were asked other two times if we were working there.
Do you train your staff to be rude with other staff members? Why did they ask?


who is reading my review/complain/comment might have been in my same position at some point in their life, no matter if you are a manager or an operator in hospitality.
I hope you understand the reason behind this message and you will improve your customer care.
There are other things I could add but I won't.

Room was fantastic, staff very very good, luxury break & of course very expensive

The Nail Bar is excellent for ladies, they also do pedicures for ladies and men, also facials. Theres the spa also for usuaul treatments.

Would have been 5 stars but for the cheeky waitress in the restaurant telling us its not her problem we were served lunch late and we had spa treatments booked so had our lunch in 2 sittings ..... her manager sorted it out for us tho ..... and the spa is a 5* service

The biennial Ryder Cup event will be held here from September 23 to 28, 2014!

Having organised this stay for my birthday we were really looking forward to it our room was small but ok we were facing the back entrance of the kitchen where we were woken with delivery Van's coming and going breakfast was on from 7-30 /10-30 we went down for 10 and was told we would have to wait 10 to 15 mins ok we went for walk around hotel came back and was told we were still on the list by this time there was loads of people getting told the same after about 45mins we eventually got shown through the service was awful the tea and coffee was cold we had to ask for toast we eventually complained to the manager for a 5 star hotel this is totally unacceptable will we be back definitely NOT

Lovely hotel with a wide variety of activities, lovely rooms brilliant staff and amazing food. There are activities such as fishing, tennis, archery and equestrian to enjoy on site, all owned and run by gleneagles estate, in the area there are also places to play golf, one of which hosted the Ryder cup

I had afternoon tea yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic. Ben our waiter was excellent. Thank you so much

Played golf at the PGA today course was outstanding.

Unpretentious atmosphere simply oozing with quality and activities to suit everyone who loves the outdoors.

Lovely room and breakfast, booked to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday, and booked supposedly Michelin star Indian banquet at the Dormey club house, food was terrible, I make a better curry , complained via email, and they ve offered us a free drink if we stay again, not good enough I m afraid, a very special occasion ruined

Excellent place to go for lunch dinner and fit a wee round of golf in, also good for a mini break with the family, use the facilities, explore the area , plenty to see and do, good to find travel wise, it just of the A9 main trunk road to perth/Inverness

Great Experience, we stay a night and i would recommend booking the newer refurbhised rooms. The standard rooms are old and rear facing chimneys etc are not good. The estate double room is the minum you should go for. The hotel has lots of activities and after having some fun from the activities and after using the pool we finish off with 2 michelin star resturant. We had a very enjoyable stay and the staff was very very good. Thank you

Afternoon Tea at Gleneagles - wonderful. Very tasty and beautifully presented. When they found out it was my wife's birthday they presented her with a birthday card.That's true 5star attention to detail.

The staff were amazing.. friendly .. moving around with out being intrusive .. and make sure we
had everything we needed .. and the hotel is just fabulous

Exceptional service in a stunning setting. Perfect for families. Do the landrover tour.

Went to taste whiskey. George was exceptionally knowledgeable about how whiskey varies by region, and the proper way to enjoy a proper nip. Beyond that, the staff was friendly, and the grounds were gorgeous.

Stayed for two nights. Checked into a dirty room (poorly / not made bed and dirty wine bottle in the corner). Breakfast at The Strathern was excessively noisy (it was half term, but perhaps have a kid-free area?) and had poor service (had to ask twice for orange juice and three times for coffee). On the plus side, the Falconry and shooting were fun, and we enjoyed the swimming area. Overall, poor value from an expensive stay.

Stayed for a wedding anniversary. Absolutely fantastic service, beautiful rooms, and family friendly.
