We re not golfers so can t comment on the facilities but the course and landscape around are simply stunning. We come for the grub. Have visited the brasserie twice over the last two years and the food is some of the best in Scotland (and the easily the UK).

Food in the club restaurant was perfect. Even we were a big group of people, service level was high. Regarding the golf course, the King s course was beautiful and layout was challenging. Many uphills. Caddies were professional and nice. I think we would still at their resort next time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel for couples aswell as families. Has lots of activities including golf, clay pigeon shooting, archery, 4 x 4 driving (Kids & adults) and horse riding. Lovely pool & spa with outdoor hot Jacuzzi. Choice of 5 restaurants all superb. Will definitely be returning.

The stay was amazing. The room was lovely and the Spa was great to relax in. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Two minor issues though. The room was too hot and I could not figure out how to get it cooler. And the service at the meal at the club house was a bit mixed. At times great but then forgot things and had to ask twice for things. Not perfection which is what I expected.

Amazing Estate and surroundings. The facilities, staff and golf course is possibly the best you'll find anywhere, helped by the fact that the weather was surprisingly excellent for Scotland. Worth a return soon regardless of the weather.

Excellent venue, the location is stunning and the service is second to none. We did have a few issues with our room (279) a good size family room. Main bedroom has a king bed with ample space. The second room was a sitting room / kids bedroom with sofa bed and a fold away second bed. Large bathroom with shower over the bath. The room has had some recent decoration but the sockets in the room did not allow the plugs to fit fully in, we tried with our chargers and the iron. This meant there was a gap at the back the plug (potential fire hazard) and they kept cutting off. (this was only noticed on the last night and reported on checkout). The radiator in the main room could not be turned down or switched off so we had the window open during our stay. And again on the last night we noticed that the bathroom floor was getting wet (for once it wasn't our two kids fault) the seal was missing from the bottom of the shower screen door. The child care facilities in the Glen and the little den are excellent and our kids (3&5) loved their time there. Again an excellent 5 star resort, only scored 4 stars due to issues with the room. (in fairness to Glenegals we did not give them the chance to resolve this during our stay, and would fully expect them to be resolved prior to them using the room again).

We had a lovely shooting lesson at The Gleneagles Shooting School. David was very helpful and informative. He made the whole experience fun and exciting. My husband and I can not thank him enough for his wonderful customer service.

Reception upgraded our room on arrival and it is incredible. Cake and a drink in the Garden Cafe was lovely. Champagne Charlies before dinner were also a treat, followed by a delicious dinner in the Birnam Brasserie. Spoiled for choice really. Shame we only have breakfast left before our stay ends, but I have no doubt that will be good too. Look forward to our next visit

Nice, venerable hotel with a number of activities, but in addition to the high hotel costs extra to pay. 3 golf clubs in very beautiful landscape but green fees unfortunately extremely expensive.

Wow what a place a place in a place. So manny little spots to enjoy and cherish. Memories made here highly recommend.

- the American bar well worth a visit had an old fashion great atmosphere

- the brasserie fantastic just wonderful menus

- along with the golf club fantastic all the curry options big yes

What a shame about the lack of door men/women at the entrance there was a large business function but that shouldn t excuse the normal standard always been told about this and expect to have a traditional meet & greet service.

I WILL BE BACK THOUGH

Birnam Brasserie is a less formal restaurant within Gleneagles Hotel. Superb, friendly and attentive service. Excellently prepared and presented food and reasonable prices for the high standard and varied choice.
