One of the best hotels you can stay at. I have been every New Years for the past four years and it is consistently excellent. All the staff are so friendly, there is so much to do and it's just the right combination of chiling out but also having fun. The Strathern resturant is excellent and lovely to have breakfast and dinner in, Andrew Fairlie is superb every time -- small, intimate with the best service. Beautiful walks through the site or you can try your luck at some golf. A truly unpretentious and wonderful place.

Friendly staff, service was great and the staff were attentive especially when it came to my allergies. The views were breathtaking and the afternoon tea was absolutely divine. We were so impressed we went back for lunch and again it was just outstanding. World class experience. The staff make you feel like royalty. Absolutely splendid. Definitely going back.

From start to finish, this was a lovely experience. The staff throughout the hotel were wonderful. Our room was beautiful and a bottle of ice cold Champagne was provided by the hotel on our arrival as this was our 50th wedding anniversary.
The Strathearn restaurant, where we had dinner was perfect, as was breakfast. I cannot fault any aspect of our overnight stay.
Well done to all the staff

We are not fabulously wealthy so the bill still induced a sharp intake of breath but if you accept that beforehand you will be rewarded with beautiful surroundings, Great food & drink and the best service! A real treat!

This is by far the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. What a beautiful place. Not one person had anything negative to say. Beautifully decorated and huge rooms. Fantastic views and a whole range of amenities throughout the hotel including shops, cafes, spa etc. The best place by far for a special occasion or just a weekend treat.

We went on a scenic safari, we were collected from our hotel and taken to the hills beyond Comrie, the driver was very knowledgeable with the wildlife and the area we were in, due to the weather on the hills we did not reach the point on the hill, snow is bad enough on roads let alone going up rough tracks, that said the views were stunning of the snow capped hills, where we saw, a bachelor group of deer and the region of herd of 60+ deer, lying in the Lee of a hill sheltering.
A good number of wild birds were seen, plenty of grouse, several buzzards red kite and sparrow hawk, simply breath taking.
Due to the conditions of the track caused by the snow, we had to walk part way down until the driver could turn the Land rover around, he certainly proved his metal and driving skill having to reverse back down the track to a safe place where we could enjoy a chilled bottle of champagne.
We then were taken to the Gleneagles Hotel where had lunch in the Birnham brasserie., which was a real treat, really beautiful food.
My wife had organised this for my 60th birthday, it was truly memorable, the concierge were very helpful on our departure, due to the non availability of local taxi's they organised one of their drivers to take us back to our hotel, a perfect end to the Gleneagles experience.

The Strathearn restaurant has been stylishly refurbished and I am always amazed at how the intimate ambience is achieved in such a large space. The menu (I think it has changed too since I was last there) highlights Scottish produce in an uncomplicated manner. Service was attentative without being intrusive. Huge improvement since I was there a year ago.

Recommended by a professional custom friend. The hotel is large, the scenery is beautiful nearby and several restaurants are very nice. I am playing golf in the Scottish Highlands for the first time. The King Course is really amazing and worth recommending.

Room and overnight stay was really enjoyable. Used the fantastic pool and spa facilities indoor and out. Dined at at the Birnham and had breakfast at the Strathearn. Good food and excellent service by all staff through our stay.

Beautiful golf course, friendly staff, great facilities.

Some things in the bar are pretty reasonable but others are very expensive.

If you order you drinks 2 weeks before you arrive they should be ready when you get there.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we enjoyed an extraordinary experience in terms of hospitality and facilities. The Estate Rooms provided a level of comfort in line with our expectations and both adults and children felt 100% at ease in them. The bars and restaurants provided a wide range of food and beverage to suit all tastes and to a very high standard. Finally, the outdoor activities, whether booked or freely available provided hours of fun for all. I'd like to say a special thanks to the Director of Leisure who took 1 hour out of his day for a walk with one of the dogs around the loch and provided our children with a basic lesson in handling working dogs. This set them up fantastically well for their gun dog lesson the next day. A final thanks to all the staff who really made us feel special and we look forward to returning regularly over future years. If I could give 6 stars, then I would.
