Very nice atmosphere and service. Great restaurants and breakfast.
Such aa beautiful place to visit and experience 5 star treatments - bars and dining are second to none
Luxurious Hotel in magnificent grounds. Golf courses and clay pigeon shoot adds to amenities this location has to offer. Wandering around the hotel is also memorable. The views are also marvellous.
Had afternoon tea my brown bread was very hard just bad not what I expected from Gleneagles and the chocolate muffin was like a half brick. Sorry extremely extremely disappointed with my visit. Please pass my thoughts to the manager thank you.
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location with a golf course.Just called in for coffee and a cake.Expensive but great in the coffee shop.Lovely pool and shops.Nice ambience.
Everything about the place was excellent, as you would expect. Service was superb, location and view was amazing. Everything very expensive but you get what you pay for. Don't come to a place like this and complain about the prices. Come for the experience.
Not as good as before
Customer services are getting poor.
Spoke to the reception about it and so far Not one has contact me back.
I have been Gleneagles customer from the last 8 years going at least once per year. never used to have problems like this before. This mean, their staff training and servicing are definitely going downhill.
Completely spoiled by the ludicrous rule that families can't sit on adjacent 6 person tables....
But we are allowed to sit next to a table of complete strangers. .... an 80th birthday ruined.
Very good environment. Had visit on a first waiter day event. Very good ambience with themed restaurant and also Michelle star winner restaurant.
Had afternoon tea here, it was lovely as we would have expected, but we received better service and food in previous visits.
Pretentious Nonsense! although I must say, it does have lots of nice facilities and outdoor activites, especially if your a golfer! However! There are lots of nicer hotels in this area.. This place, is just a posh Butlins in the country.
Not just an afternoon tea but an amazing all round experience.
The food and service is fantastic, but the atmosphere is completely ruined by turning the stylish restaurant into a brasserie. Please bring dining in style back again. Drop the music, it was too loud and very annoying. Bring back tablecloths and please replace the kitchen towles you use as napkins.
A beautiful resort with a very relaxing atmosphere. Staff are extra friendly. So much activities for the kids. Wide choices of restaurants and food selection.
Spent my 30th birthday at gleneagles and it was amazing, the staff had a few little surprises for me making it special. I love it here.
Keep your money
Way over priced!!!!
Food just ok
Bedrooms nice
Spa people rude not wanting to show you round
One spa in edinburgh better
Amazing Golf courses and Hotel restaurants and bars
Fantastic visit to the Birnham Brasserie, food and service were exceptional.
We had a wonderful experience on our day trip from Glasgow. The staff was so friendly. I took a private dressage lesson. Christina was a wonderful instructor - it was well worth it.
A truely delightful Sunday lunch at the Strathearn restaurant at Gleaneagles.
Sheer luxury, my favourite place in the world...after Millport
First class food and staff great attention to detail. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Very nice High tea today .
Worth going to .
Excellence Crew, the golf courses are just beautiful!
fife points !!!
Sunday Brunch. We went for Sunday brunch for a late birthday celebration. A bit of a faff to book - you have to phone and you have to pay a deposit - but a very enjoyable meal.
We were seated in the conservatory part which was very nice. They pushed a bit hard on the drinks package but once they were batted away a few times on this, things settled down. Quite loud music by a DJ - my husband who knows about music thought the selection a bit odd.
The format is a buffet starter, main course and buffet desert. The starter selection was different salads, charcuterie, cheese and seafood. Really nice Iberian ham and amazing seafood - smoked salmon was very good, the hot smoked salmon probably the best. Great crab. Great looking prawns but not as tasty as they could have been (I have had better). One thing I particularly liked was that the seafood was not dressed so you could choose your own or have none. The cheese selection looked amazing but I don't eat cheese so cannot comment. Salads were good as well with a broad selection. Bread good as well - wide choice.
Mains were interesting. My husband had the fish which came with crushed potatoes and a tomato sauce. I have the pork chop which came with the most amazing sour apple sauce (it was stunning) and really great sauce. But nothing else. Clearly we were not sort of food but it seems odd to have no veg or anything. But tasted amazing and the pork was great.
Desert was another trolley. You had to clamber over multiple tables and diners to get to it. Everything was fine and their cheesecake amazing but it was all quite custard based (chocolate custard, rice pudding, some other custard/yoghurt based things). I would have liked a bit of cake or perhaps some mini fruit tarts. Nice cookies as well. Ice cream cart as well which was great.
Car park was very full and the spaces very small - lots of big cars so an interesting parking experience.
Would definitely return again and probably will make it an annual birthday event.
Gleneagles is simply the top country estate and property in Scotland right now. The hotel itself is gorgeous and stately (and enormous), with most of the rooms being newly renovated in the last couple of years. Service is impeccable and there are a number of eateries within the hotel and of the grounds to keep guests very occupied and well fed. The grounds of the estate are immaculate, with plenty of activates offered (falconry, shooting, horseback riding, off-roading, golf, dog-hunting). This hotel is a must-stay for luxury vacations to Scotland, and can be well coupled with a Edinburgh or St. Andrews segment as well. Cannot give enough praise to this beautiful and historic property. Stay here for a luxurious country estate experience.
Elegant, aristocratic in a fairy-tale place very Old Scotland. The service in the fabulous rooms where the bars are located lacks a bit of professionalism that can be seen at this level
Hotel and grounds are out of this world staff on other hand need sorting out....terrible service..
Fantastic spa afternoon! The staff are all lovely and incredibly helpful. Especially Seonaid who did my treatment and was able to help personalise it for my specific needs and problematic skin.
Had afternoon tea here which was just fabulous. Service was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit
Brilliant as always. Staff lovely and food great. Love separate vegetarian and vegan menu
It's not the most beautiful from the outside but inside yeah it is special (and you pay for it!).
Amazing olives in the American bar, I mean, THE BEST OLIVES!!
Spectacular. Superb golf courses. Fabulous restaurants wonderful staff that does everything to make you stay and feel the best.
The Gleneagles hotel has all the charm, elegance and beauty plus the added bonus of having not 1 but 3 world class golf courses, the fully stocked clubhouse, clubhouse bar & restaurant and exquisite restaurant "The Dormie". With stunning surrounds and walks, wildlife and horse riding stables. Simply gorgeous !
Really special treat, fantastic service and facilities.
Absolutely top drawer in every respect - afternoon tea is delicious - but it definitely isn't cheap!!
Just collected customers in my TAXI going to Dunblane but they did say they had a great meal at the clubhouse.
Hotel for the wealthy. It offers all the whims of its guests. You can really have a great time even in bad weather. Lots of interesting events.
I stayed here some years ago. Thought it was the best hotel and service I ever experienced.
The room was OK
The food was OK
Room service took to long
The team were very friendly, but not consistent in service delivery
The team on the Golf were as you expect first class.
All in all, needs sharpening up ! And not what I would expect from this Grand Hotel. COVID would have had an effect for sure.
I look forwards to its return to its 5 star rating, but not this trip.
Lux is the word here. Everything from the golf courses (we played the Ryder cup course) the memorabilia around the club house and the well stocked and pricey pro shop were first rate. Quality everywhere. Worth the visit. Did not check out the hotel as we were staying in St. Andrews for the trip. An easy drive to/from however.
Played the Kings exceptional for this time of year.
Afternoon tea with sandwiches, pie, scones, cake and champagne. Delicious. Felt pampered sitting in very grand surroundings.
What an Amazing day. Absolutely loved everything. Everyone was so friendly. My spa therapist Samantha was great! Would definitely recommend. The afternoon tea also had a superb amount of detail too.
Though i wasnt inside, the location and parking facilities were good and the grass was well kept.
