Spare yourself the aggravation and don't waste you...
Spare yourself the aggravation and don't waste your time here.
I recently contacted this dealership to negotiate lease pricing on a new vehicle. Between the half dozen phone calls over three days with the salesperson Leanna Kurnel and her manager Fatima, I received absolutely zero information about vehicle features, pricing, and lease terms.
During our very first conversation, Leanna told me flat out that it's "against their policy" to quote prices over the phone and that they "don't compete with other dealerships on price." As a buyer, this should be your first red flag to walk away. Any dealership that refuses to negotiate over the phone or by email is not worth your time and consideration.
I then contacted six other Nissan dealerships, all of whom discussed pricing with me over the phone in a simple, transparent, and professional manner. One dealership even sent me a pre-filled draft lease agreement with a full detailed itemization of pricing. Once I had an offer, I called Fatima to discuss a counteroffer, which she had instructed me to do a few days prior. She agreed to match the other dealership's monthly payment, but once again, she refused to discuss the specifics of the amount due at signing, including the downpayment, taxes, acquisition, and registration fees, which can total thousands of dollars. This is precisely where car dealerships load their hidden fees and surcharges. When I pressed further for additional information, her tone became aggressive. She asked me why I was wasting her time shopping around for the best price and why I don't just make a deal elsewhere. She then once again tried to schedule an appointment with me, despite the fact that I've told her numerous times that I live far away and would only be willing to negotiate over the phone.
This dealership's #1 goal is to get you in the door so they can wear you down and confuse and mislead you in person. They understand that their chances of closing a sale increase dramatically once you are physically present and have committed your time.
Consumers today are more educated and well-informed than ever before.
If they keep up with these business practices, I suspect this dealership won't be around for much longer.
