Offers many beach access points and bike/walking paths that guide you through the park. Park also has so much history including watch towers, buildings, and other things used during World War 2. Beaches and facilities are always clean and staff is very nice and accommodating.

Amazing State Park with a lot of WWII relics, beautiful beaches and a fun, unique disc golf course! The Gordon's Pond trail through the marshes up to the point of the park is a great day long bike ride on a well maintained trail. And it has beaches! I'd recommend a visit or a long stay at this park to anyone.

Beautiful and well maintained state park in Delaware. Close to the Delaware beaches. The place is good for a getaway from the rush at the beach. There is a hawk watching station and plenty of area to cool off. The sunset is really beautiful from Cape Henlopen. The park closes at dusk. Saw a lot of deers around the area as we headed back home. Would definitely recommend this place.

Cape Henlopen State Park is a great place to visit. There are a variety of activities to engage in and many nice views for pictures. The beach is a true beach, it's the Atlantic Ocean not like the other "beaches" in Maryland. The sand is soft and the water is cleaner than Lewes Beach (a few miles down the road). So, it's definitely worth it.

I do recommend this park.

I do recommend this park.

It was generally clean and not crowded when we went, though I think that has to do with COVID and the time of year.

I recommend you bring a bucket, sieve and small shovel or scoop. Always neat stuff in the sand and ocean to be found, I don't care how old you are. I wish I had brought some. I found a hermit crab though!!

Have fun!

Place is amazing. I didnt know this place existed. Has bath houses and concession stand. It costs 10 dollars to get into the park. Only thing i didnt like was that they do not offer military discounts for a day pass and that some visitors ignored the fact that you need to carry out your own trash. Trash bags are provided. Will definitely be visiting again.

No lifeguards but a good beach. A lot of people were there fishing. So it has to be a good spot for that but I don't know anything about it as I am no fisherman. You could kayak or paddle board and rent umbrellas and chairs from an outlet on the beach. Look for directions to the fishing pier if you are looking for the beach.

This place is great for kids. The beach by the pier has a lot of crab holes to discover. It also has sand bars which made for tide pools collections. Our kiddos found hermit crabs, ghostcrabs and a few small fish. It was a fun treasure trove. Fisher folks were gathered on the pier and using nets to catch fish which also made for exciting seascape sites.
The beach is sandy and has ample space to lay out. The waves here are very mild for easy fun for little kids.

Based on a day trip, I had an amazing time at Cape Henlopen. Loved that there were not many people when I came (it was on and off very rainy but cleared up right when we got here)Explored the history and some of the lighthouses, etc. Roamed the beaches as if we were the only ones here. So relaxing! I have heard that camping here is not as relaxing and that things have changed for the worse over the years-also that campsites are way too close together and that a bike is needed. Still deciding if I should give camping a try. Maybe it was just a good day but my first experience here was great. We later watched wind surfers and closed the day by watching an amazing sunset by the fishing pier.

Always remember to book in advance! Cape Henlopen is a beautiful park with bikes to borrow, disc golf, trails, towers to climb and a life guarded beach! It is one of our favorite vacation spots. Also, just minutes from a boardwalk and outlet shopping. We love coming and just relaxing at a camp site or cabin.

Had a great time at the Easter egg hunt and Kite Festival over the holiday weekend. The kids really enjoyed themselves they had food trucks but we ate before going so we didn't get a chance to try any of them but the lines were long. I would definitely go back.

Great place to come and relax. Great amenities for camping, great bike trails. So much to do. A private beach that's smaller and unguarded. A public beach that's bigger. Guarded and has showers with warm water and a snack bar.

Sweet little getaway, great for a swim - wear water shoes. Not exactly an idyllic white sands beach, but the long shallow entry into the water provides its own unique experience. Popular place for digging for clams.

Always amazed at how many different activities are so effectively accommodated in this relatively small park: fishing, drive-on, walk-on, dogs, bike trails, hiking, walking path over wetlands, camping, cabins, protection zones for endangered birds...all with space to spare.

Awesome beach, clean sand, cool light house. My only real complaint was the number of fisherman, I like to fish as much as anyone, but having to dodge a mile long stretch of fishing lines takes a little away from walking on the beach. Had a great day and definitely want to stop again and explore more of the park.

The cleanest, nicest, most well planned out State Park we have ever been to! We camped for a week, yes in a tent. Private and shared bathing options. Trails are well maintained, lots of activities at the educational center for the whole family to enjoy as well. Easily accessible from other popular area attractions. We haven't stopped bragging about our summer vacation since we left!

This place was great, the person at the gate of the camping area was extremely informative. This experience helped me make my decision to make a reservation for next year. The sites are spaced at a comfortable and safe distance. I would recommend it.
