No lifeguards but a good beach. A lot of people were there fishing. So it has to be a good spot for that but I don't know anything about it as I am no fisherman. You could kayak or paddle board and rent umbrellas and chairs from an outlet on the beach. Look for directions to the fishing pier if you are looking for the beach.
