We had the discount menu of 6 dishes. The food was simply outstanding. Great personel and service, they gave us 2 glasses on the house to compensate the long waiting. Amazing evening for a modest price!

Located in an old farmhouse, and since the 70s owned by the same family. Nice atmosphere, good food and interesting matching wines.

A great restaurant with good cuisine, but one Michelin star is too high

Very good food with a discount. Treatment of customers with a discount was excellent. And the service was super sweet and friendly to our toddlers. We have not experienced it so sweetly. Was taken into account that had to leave earlier. We felt very welcome and will come back here more often.

A six course meal is not my thing but I loved their little buns and the desert was very nice. But abit of a delay with the last courses. The service was good though.

Great restaurant! Not for nothing a star for more than 35 years

Good food and nice view of the park but not surprising. And I actually expect that from a star restaurant. A few minor flaws, but they were solved with a drink from the house

Beautiful, open dining place in a beautiful piece of nature. Some dishes were accompanied by a background story, although most were fairly standard and not very exciting. There could have been a bit more guts in the classic bisque and the sweet dessert; it was now too good, although well flavored. Portions were on the small side; more vegetables would have been welcome. Service was friendly, welcoming and straightforward, although the owners seemed most comfortable with the guests. Having a nice chat or telling more about the dishes and wine turned out to be a bit difficult for some employees. The amuse-bouche, the fresh bread and the chocolates were very tasty and testify to hospitality and warmth. We have received a clear impression of this Michelin star restaurant by means of a Social Deal. A, probably adapted, five-course dinner with a variety of dishes. It was fresh and well flavored, but only a single dish was really challenging and exciting: with the perch, each ingredient had received just a little more attention. We found this as the only dish "Michelin-worthy". The bisque has apparently been the same for years and is clearly intended for regular guests: rich in taste, but very boring. Even the golden bowl looks a bit old-fashioned and decadent. The interior is also made up of safe choices and lacks warmth and cosiness. It does not fit in well with the beautiful nature of the Karpendonkse Plas. All in all, it appears that De Karpendonkse Hoeve mainly goes for safe and familiar, but with that it serves the well-known regular guests rather than new younger guests (the Chef's Table viewers) who expect more guts and excitement.

Great avpnd, 8 course menu more than adequate and perfect combination too. Definitely recommend. Tip, don't eat too much in advance ;-)

Eaten with a 7 course tasting of holiday auctions. The staff was very friendly. However, right in front of our noses was a table. Here, dirty dishes were put on. This was our view all night ... on the table were flowers that had been faded. The food was really lukewarm at two courses and the accompanying wine was forgotten at the desserts. In the beginning the bread, a shot and the starter came all at once. Then it was quite a long wait between courses. In our view there was too little staff. The explanation of the dishes was ordered very quickly and then they flew away again. It was nice and nice but we really expected a lot more from a Michelin restaurant. .

Very good food, nice location very friendly staff with attention to you.

Expected more from a michelin star rated restaurant. But perhaps when you dine out often you realise there are plenty of more affordable restaurants out there which adhere to the same quality of food and perhaps are even more creative. The mark up on their food seems a bit high and their menu slightly dated. The service was nice but the decor outdated and the food tasted nice but didn't have any wow-factor. On another note, my dinner date for the evening complained of stomach issues the next morning and coincidentally so did I.

Nice place for walking, picnics and sports. Unfortunately, certain visitors ruin it for people and nature with their scattered mess behavior.

A super cozy cafe, in a Nature Reservation called Karpendonkse Heide ... You can reach there by auto, within 30 mins driving from Eindhoven ...

We had a 5 course dinner menu, which is highly recommendable. The beginning was lacking a bit of a kick in the taste, but with each next course the flavors of dishes became brighter and more interesting. Pleasant atmosphere, ambience and the staff. We enjoyed the food and the place.

We enjoyed the hospitality and the special dishes they served us. Everything was super tasty and very original and special. They have an eye for details and all dishes are well thought out. And there was also a sense of humor. It was a very nice evening and we will definitely return here.

Delicious eaten. Good extensive wine list. Attractive now in Christmas atmosphere very cozy. Fine smooth operation not intrusive. Positive is that when ordering tap water, it is not charged. Only when ordering the house wine are the glasses not properly filled. But it has given us a nice fun filled evening.

After a walk we thought we would have a nice drink on the terrace. Unfortunately that turned out not to be possible. You need to make a reservation and apparently that was not possible at the door. Sin; but luckily there are plenty of other nice terraces in Eindhoven!

Good atmosphere, pleasant service and great tasty food

We had the opportunity to eat there thanks to an auction won on vakantieveilingen so we paid way less than what we were supposed to. And what a positive surprise in terms of service. I was afraid we would be less well served than the customers paying full price but not at all. The staff was very pleasant. Each dish was really an explosion of flavours in your mouth. And there was a big variety of textures and food in all what we ate : soup, cake, ice cream, crispy sparkles... The only negative point we could notice was the time you have to wait between each dish but for such a quality moment, for me it does not matter. I am from France and I am glad I could find such a nice place in Eindhoven

Restaurant with class, excellent menu, excellent service and beautiful location.

Awesome food. A party every time. Although not cheap, but that is to be expected from a star restaurant. The easy and friendly interaction with the staff is also very refreshing.

Fantastic experience. Last year also been with a voucher from holiday auctions, and we really enjoyed it again. The food is beautifully designed and the flavors are surprising and very pleasant. The service is also very friendly, very knowledgeable and makes the experience of the night out completely.

Karpendonske Hoeve gives the impression of a restaurant stuck in a glamorous past. Everything about the restaurant, from the decor to the food reminds one of this. The furniture, the cutlery, the ambience all gives a hint of something very expensive and excellent quality, but from decades ago. The food is inline with the impression of the ambience, old but gold. They seem to do traditional flavours well. But not a hint of experiments, creativity and something original. For me personally, Karpendonske hoeve did not meet expectations. Perhaps they cater to an idea long in the past and only upheld by people of the past. The skills, knowledge, culture created in places such as this are precious. If the restaurant wants not only to invite the present but lead the way into the future, it must reinvent itself.

Dishes and service are no longer of the Michelin star level. We have been there twice before and then certainly. Dishes were pretty average. Dessert very easy. After collecting the plates, the manager does not ask if it has tasted. After asking questions of the bill after fifteen minutes have to ask again. Not customer friendly. Not misunderable unfortunately.

We had a beautiful evening in this restaurant. We had a cook workshop. The people run this restaurant with a lot of passion for their work.

The location of the restaurant is great; in a park, overlooking the Karpendonkse Plas. Especially in good weather, if you can sit outside on the terrace, you can enjoy it. The reception and operation are professional. It is noticeable that they have a lot of experience with this. The amuses were tasty and promised good for the rest of the dinner. That was fine, even though the starter was very disappointing. This was wagyu, filled with mushrooms. The explanation was told that the filling would be lukewarm, which would melt the fat in the meat. In reality, the filling was cold, giving the whole a somewhat greasy texture. The mouthfeel was not pleasant. The main course and dessert were particularly tasteful; tenderloin with a light-spicy sauce and crispy fried sweetbreads. The dessert consisted of different preparations of strawberry. The prices are high, which you can despise at a star restaurant. I am not convinced that it was really worth it. It was tasty, but it was not an unforgettable experience. Maybe my expectations were too high.

My husband and I go out for dinner at least twice a week. This time I wanted to go to a star restaurant. Sorry but I don't know what this star is for. Or it should be for the view. This one is certainly beautiful. The food was tasty but by no means spectacular. What was very disappointing to me was the fact that the guests who were already inside were suddenly forgotten because guests came in, which showed that they could spend a lot of money. Not really welcoming to the other guests. Very sorry.

With Groupon bon menu for two people can enjoy. What a goodies! You can call it classic, I think it's best, at least we enjoyed the food and the service staff, what a lovely friendly hospitable people. You really feel immediately at ease with them!

We had received an 8-course menu from our son and daughter-in-law and, because our children have dined there before, went there with great pleasure for the taste explosion, however, we had to wait 5 minutes before we were brought to a table. The wait staff was clumsy young people, some without experience. We always had to wait a long time for the food which was very disappointing not worth a star for less much better dinner and had a cozy meal all evening with my husband had to hear the most terrible stories from other customers. Maybe a tip of background music would be nice. When we had not yet received our dessert at 10 am we went home after paying for the wine and water. No no going back here

The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. It's very clearly hidden in a non presumptuous place. The food was very tasty and interesting, definitely a lovely experience.

Quiet place to escape the bustle of the city but is almost in the center

Nicely and personally adjusted and adapted to the person if desired. A dynamic and flexible team ensure a warm service and a tasty experience.

Been here once before, it was fantastic then, now it was less, long waiting times between dishes and yet less in terms of taste experience than the 1st time.
