Worst service possible I purchased a car with a cashier's check paid in full and the car was suppose to be detailed to remove the smell of cigarettes in the car..it wasnt!!! The breaks make noise, when I turn into a drive turning right or left it makes a loud noise and to top it all of they did not fill the car up with gas and a horrible job on a car wash!!! I called them stayed on hold forever to speak with a manager in regards to these issues. Had to hang up since they never came to the phone. Will be going back in the am.

Awesome Customer Service

I recently took my Scion xD in for routine service, I was actually going to take my car somewhere else because I personally feel DCH is a little pricey. MY service Advisor was Larissa Wong. Larissa was great!! Very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of me. I am a firm believer in customer service, honesty and reliability. My experience at DCH was seamless, they did a great job servicing my car, were able to find other repairs that were covered under warranty, and my car was completed before time promised. Everyone I dealt with at DCH were very professional, friendly and all about customer service. Keep up the strong work Larissa, because of you and the staff at DCH and their commitment to customer service I will definitely be going back to DCH Torrance.

I recently purchased a 2019 Camry at this location and I sold my previous car to the dealership, however the dealership is unfortunately so unprofessional that they didn't process the paperwork of release of liability of the vehicle so 4 months later and I am receiving tickets for a vehicle that no longer belongs to me. To make matters worse Toyota did not keep my information private and I am receiving harassing calls from the new owner. When I went to the dealership to speak to them about my issues all they said was "oh this happens all the time". I am very displeased with how much stress and problems this has caused me, I will not be back to do business here.

At first I was reluctant about even going to the appointment my wife made for us to meet with Loyd. Upon meeting with him I felt a good vibe as I was talking with him. Lloyd was good with detail and answered questions I had for him. I was also introduced to Hudson I believe was the manager and I test drove the 3.6 L challenger. I let him know that this one didn't have the feel of real muscle car . next thing you know we're walking to the car that would be mine in just a couple of hours. The 5.7L was it . im so pleased with the whole experience that I would gladly recommend Toyota of Torrance and the two gentlemen who guided me through the process

I am on my second car purchased from this location...

I am on my second car purchased from this location, the first was around 10 years ago and is still working great. Great place to find low cost, slightly used car that looks and drives like new. New cars are fully serviced right on site but I can't speak to that as both of my purchases here were certified used. Emile was great and patient with us as we did go back and forth on a couple of decisions, but he took the time to re-do paperwork and had a helpful attitude. Also very informative finance team. As with any major purchase you must ask a lot of questions and do your own research, but some places are shifty about the questions you ask or partial in their disclosures. That's how you get a lemon. I came back the second time because I didn't have any issues like that here and everyone was just as friendly and straightforward this time as they were ten years ago.

This review is for the service department. I made an appointment to have the alarm installed on the new Rav4 I bought from their dealership. I drove all the way up from Orange County for the appointment and their alarm guy wasn't even there. They acknowledged that I had an appointment scheduled for 11am, but didn't bother to let me know their guy didn't show up for work. So they called him and apparently he was up in the valley for whatever reason and just decided to blow off our appointment. The service department offered absolutely no solution other than to reschedule, i.e. take time off of work or spend another Saturday sitting around their dealership. This "service", more like lack thereof, is completely unacceptable.

If it was possible to rate negative stars, negative stars this review would have. In one week, I heard from 7 different people, 2 who once promptly contacted the company were mysteriously no longer employed there.

I was interested in a specific car, before traveling over 100 miles to the lot, I wanted to confirm the car was on the lot and the price.

Once this information was finally confirmed by person number seven (who apparently is among the no longer employed) we set off on our 100 plus mile drive in the rain.

Upon arriving at the lot we were created by the only kind and intelligent employee they have Lupe. Once we sat down to purchase the car with a cashiers check in hand we were then given shine about dealer mark ups not listed on the website or included in any of the conversations I had with the employees. I was confirmed a price. Not only did they change it, they were rude, condescending and uncouth about it.

I would caution anyone attempting to purchase from this lot. They will only lie to you. They will try and make you feel as if it is a privilege to be lied to.

Honor what you have put in writing.

I'm a first time buyer and I had a very pleasant experience buying my first car at DCH Toyota of Torrance. The sales person who helped me was Loyd Aler. My dad was the one who referred me to him and he wanted my first time to be as pleasant as possible. I was hesitant at first because I live in Temecula and this dealership is in Torrance which means more than one and a half hour drive. My dad said, try it, it's worth the trip. And he was absolutely right. Not only was Mr. Aler very courteous and very professional, but he gave me an excellent deal as well -- for a first time buyer and with very little credit like me -- on a 2007 BMW 328i series, which I couldn't believe I would be driving up to now. Thanks DCH Toyota of Torrance and to Mr. Loyd Aler!

We had a poor experience at this dealership and ended up purchasing our truck from Manhattan Beach Toyota. The GM from Torrance reached out via email for feedback which I really appreciated, but I received a bounce back (further disappointment).. so sharing the responses to his questions here:

We started looking for a truck about a month ago but this was the first dealership we walked into (it was in the evening). The guy that helped us didn't really know the specs and admitted he was new, which is fine. But the big turn off was when he didn't take the time to provide us with quotes on the different trucks we were considering.

Within the week we did our researching on price differences across the local dealerships via email. Torrance was the only dealership that didn't follow up to my online request the first time. I had to reach out a second time and was passed off to multiple people. I was transparent that I was looking a win on price and that we test drove at MB. MB told us they could transfer the truck that we wanted from somewhere else. I know NOW that that truck was at Torrance. And Torrance told them it wasn't available because someone else was coming it for it.

In the end, Torrance lacked in timeliness, customer service and knowledge.

Beware! Sales & Finance Dept lead with deception....

Beware! Sales & Finance Dept lead with deception. Pre certified vehicles are not necessarily ready for sale as indicated. Top of the line, Limited Edition vehicle had no detail work done at all.it was filthy. Locking lug nut key was missing. No problem, they'll sell it for $29 plus tax.
Within 300 miles it Had to have an oil change, And every time you put your foot on the brakes they vibrated. Went back a 3 times to have them look at the brakes. 1st time, they don't service used vehicles on Fridays or Saturdays., next.they were too busy and asked me to bring it back. The forth time, now that we've owned it a month and a half they want to charge us to resurface the rotors that should have been done before the sale of the vehicle.
They offered a $50 tank of gas in lieu of actually cleaning and repairing the leather seats and carpet, or polishing out the dings and scuffed key marks in the paint of the vehicle.
The finance department has no supervisors to speak with when your Rep does not return your calls.
As they write up your contract they mislead you by telling you that items are inclusive within the purchase of the vehicle. If you're a 1st time finance buyer, Beware. They'll tack on an extra $8,000 in charges on top of the sticker price of your vehicle. Then they have a problem of removing these excessive, optional charges that they tacked on with deliberate deception. Oh yes, DCH is happy to sell you all the missing accessories Fred extra thousand dollars. Why? When I can go down the street to the next Dealership and buy it from the same items for $600. Oh wait, they realized I just purchased it, so they'll sell me those items for about $450. Why would I ever go back to DCH in this case?.

MISERABLE EXPERIENCE buying a used vehicle at this...

MISERABLE EXPERIENCE buying a used vehicle at this dealership. The primary problem Sales Manager Mr. Sean Gibbs. We were prepared to purchase the vehicle a late model used vehicle at the price advertised online, provided it checked out. Mr. Gibbs made the event extremely unpleasant. Before I get into details, I would caution anyone thinking about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to rethink that choice.

Let s start with the worst part. After spending over 5 hours in the dealership, mostly waiting around to document the transaction, we noticed in the final paperwork that the dealer tried to add charges of $798 for accessories that we didn t want and that were never discussed when negotiating the price of the car. When we objected, Mr. Sean Gibbs insisted that we accepted the charges because, as he growled at us, it was referenced in the FINE PRINT of the sticker on the car. What!? We were shocked by Mr. Gibbs underhanded and deceptive practices. Mr. Gibbs tried to bully us into accepting the charge. He was condescending and rude when we challenged his tactics. As a result, we walked out though we very much wanted the car. Within 10 minutes, the finance manager called and said that the dealership would remove the charges if we came back to complete the transaction.

Beyond trying to sneak hidden charges into the paperwork, Mr. Gibbs was less than transparent in his disclosures. First, Mr. Gibbs refused to permit us to take the car off the lot to a mechanic to have it checked out. Second, Mr. Gibbs refused to show us the dealer s detailed inspection and repair paperwork for the car claiming that the dealership didn t keep that kind of paperwork. What nonsense. My impression was that he wanted to use this car to attract buyers into the dealership, but Mr. Gibbs didn't want to sell the car at the internet advertised price (which was about $7K less than its sticker price).

Finally, though I can t say this was intentional, after we agreed to purchase the car at the internet advertised price, plus tax and license, we were left sitting and waiting for several more hours before the finance manager would complete the process. We were literally the last customers helped. And unlike other dealerships which offer an assortment of free snacks and drinks, this dealership only has vending machines filled with junk food, soda. Not a pleasant place to wait around.

In short, don t do business with this dealership. There are plenty of reputable dealers in the area. But if you do, be extremely cautious. Arrange to have your own mechanic available to inspect the vehicle (if it s used) and, this one is critical, go over every line in the purchase contract to make sure that the dealer isn t adding any charges that weren t negotiated. Keep your eyes out for extra charges for accessory charges like paint protection or anti-theft. In reality, most people don t review these line items that closely, and most people trust that they will not be ripped off. This dealership, however, cannot be trusted. As they say, BUYER BEWARE especially at DCH Toyota of Torrance!

visited this dealership twice with my boyfriend to look at a CH-R and a camry. didn t grab either for the reason the salesman and the salesman manager couldn t negotiate a reasonable price.

plain and simple. they have hidden charges. charging for accessories that s already within the cars anatomy but not within the cars price value? don t believe this dealers website. false advertising. if you re not bringing the money they want, they will get up from there chair and say have a good day or suggest other cars within your budget WHILE having knowledge of what you want and turns out to be the complete opposite of what you re interested in.

my first visit was for the CH-R. this was my first experience coming to a dealership in search for a new used car. sadly, coming to this establishment with great interest, the customer service was unacceptable and rude. mainly from the manager. it made my experience very uncomfortable and wanting to not come back.

my second visit was for the CAMRY. giving this dealership a second chance to see if we re able to work something out with the same two people. same outcome but even worst customer service and unacceptable attitude. MAINLY from the manager.

I m a manager in retail as well. i can say with great confidence the customer experience was extremely poor. customer service, unacceptable and it needs work if you want to make sales or have the customer walking through your doors leave through the same doors with a somewhat positive experience. which didn t happen.

don t bother trying to contact me to see if we re able to work something out again or what was the dialogue because it is what it is and mgmt needs to be better. that s it. I hope the manager sees this and if he does. Have a good day sir *gets up and walks away* (:

Disappointed with lack of flexibility and insisten...

Disappointed with lack of flexibility and insistence on taking statements at "face value."

I understand that as a used-car buyer, I am not the cash cow dealerships are interested in. However, I still am a potential buyer, and I'd like to think would have some bearing.

I showed up on Sunday looking at one of DCH's used vehicles. There were five dealership bros just lounging about texting on their phones. The one guy who I had spoken to earlier had gotten caught up in a deal, so he pushed me to a younger gentlemen to do the test drive with me.

First, the vehicle's battery was dead, so we had to get a starter to turn it over. Upon beginning our "test drive" I was informed that I was NOT allowed to take the vehicle to the highway to see how it handled at highway speeds because "there's no highway near us." The young dude was the messenger, so no fault to him. I expressed that this made me extremely uncomfortable and communicated to him I'd like to make a highway -- or at least a longer drive -- possible. I find it completely unreasonable for a car-selling entity to expect me to drive a car only up to 50 mph on residential streets and be completely confident that it is a sound vehicle.

So young dude goes to relay my concern to assistant manager. Assistant manager comes out. Tells me that we can't do highway driving due to "insurance concerns"...but then says, "well, we can get it up to 70 on the road behind the dealership...is that good enough?"

The road behind the dealership has a speed limit of 45. I fail to see how "insurance concerns" are really that much of a concern if I'm being told that it's totes cool to go 1.5xs the posted speed limit behind a dealership, but not be allowed to enter a highway to test a vehicle.

So the dude drives this vehicle up to 60ish (not highway speeds, but A for effort, I guess?) on this 45mph road for barely two miles, turns the vehicle around to the dealership and then has an expectation that I was perfectly satisfied.

To be frank: no, I wasn't. And I wasn't impressed afterwards with the sheer inflexibility in having me get the vehicle inspected by a third party. Throughout the day, I'd been at other dealerships around LA who'd been willing to allow me to bring a vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic should I make the decision to look at car more thoroughly. DCH pretended to be amenable, and told me I could "bring a mechanic to look at the car here" but quite frankly, without access to a lift and without access to a highway, a 3rd party inspection is absolutely useless.

I wasn't necessarily looking to barter down to a lower price, should potential issues arise. I was looking for peace of mind and honesty and the fact that DCH was squirrely about allowing me to attempt to get the car to perform basic, regular driving manuevers was baffling and very frustrating. I was extremely interested in this vehicle and am disappointed a dealership would behave in this manner. Telling me to take a car dealership at its word is poor judgement...especially when it keeps hiding behind "insurance concerns" but then does technically insurance risky behavior.

As a used car buyer? I'd avoid. If you do your homework and want to be respected for being thorough, go elsewhere. I know other dealers that have nothing to hide.

Very nice dealership. Called in for a specific car and Phillip helped me out. Even though it was late already, he waited and was very patient. He did not rush us at all. My son loves his new Corolla. Good experience overall. Will come back when i get another car. Make sure to come to DCH toyota torrance and ask for Phillip.

Very professional and levelheaded staff. Lulu was an excellent saleswoman to work with and the financial staff was very straightforward. My only complaint is the deceiving website with costs hidden in the fine print which isn't visible unless clicked on. This is deceitful and the fault goes to management. Other than that, very good experience and I had fun with the staff at DCH Toyota of Torrance!

My wife and I leased a 2019 RAV4. We are very happy with the vehicle...and very satisfied that the "deal" was quite fair. The credit for us having such a positive experience goes 100% to "TERESA COCIO", our salesperson! She is very knowledgable, courteous, answers questions in an easy to understand manner, is very patient, is customer oriented (emphasis is on customer satisfaction), and does all of this with a pleasant smile! Never once did we feel any pressure of any kind. Teresa Cocio did a lot of "research" until she found what we wanted. Teresa was assisted by "Hudson"...who also deserves the above compliments! Both Teresa and Hudson represent DCH Toyota in a favorable, customer-oriented fashion, and they need to be recognized for that!

The sales staff is very friendly and helpful, however, the DCH lease agents and Toyota Financial are deceitful and dishonest. Be careful when leasing from this Toyota. They place a $350.00 dollar return fee at the end of the lease they will not tell you about at the time of purchase. Also, Toyota decides what "excessive" wear and tear is. Toyota will profit greatly from you for a little scratch even if you return the vehicle in near showroom condition. When I contacted the DCH finance department to question the $350.00 return fee (Disposition Fee), I was told "it was in the contract you agreed to" sucker!

I purchased a 2020 4runner on 8/16 and they provided me with a white-glove treatment from start to finish. We recently visited DCH Toyota of Torrance as part of our search for a new Highlander to replace our 2010 Venza. We were greeted by John Shepard who showed us the available inventory. He explained the various models and their differing options. Many one words can describe the slimy way this dealership sells cars. Avoid at all costs, which includes "Dealer Added options". Yes, if you want to buy a vehicle from them (my case is a used car from online) you have to purchase the thief system, Vin etching, and something else silly I forget for...you ready?...are you sitting down?...an EXTRA $3000.00. Yep, that's all. You really want that used car, tack on $3k... amazing how they sell cars and stay in business. Lucky for me I have other choices. Good Day, and you have been warned... ;)

Let's face it, buying a car is one of the experiences we most dread. Public speaking may be the only thing more intimidating. I'm happy to say that buying from DCH was about as good as you could hope. As a woman, we are often dismissed and our knowledge questioned when entering a car lot; I'm happy to report that this was NOT the case at DCH Toyota.I always felt valued and respected.

We came in today and ended up buying a car from Alex. We weren't quite sure what we were going to buy, and Alex was knowledgeable about different models and the specs for different model years. He told us about the relative performance of transmissions. He gave us candid feedback about ride quality and other intangibles. We drove two different cars, and ended up finding exactly what we needed. We didn't spend more than we were planning. The selection was very good.

We were greeted in a non-aggressive way, and there was absolutely no pressure or up-selling. The cars are priced well, and they consider regional pricing when setting the sticker price. There wasn't a lot of haggle room, but that's because the prices are pretty reasonably set from the start.

We bought a different vehicle a year ago from a different dealer, and it was a much different experience. As far as the hoops we all have to jump through to buy a car, I can't complain about our experience. The finance department staff was amiable and sympathetic to the hassles of buying.

My service advisor Jose Hernandez was very helpful, from explaining what type of recall my vehicle had to letting me know what kind of maintenance it was due for. He answered every question I had about the car and made the whole car buying experience fun. He showed me a couple of different vehicles until we finally found the perfect one, inside and out. I went in to lease a 2018 Camry last Sunday and had negotiated a fair price with one of their sales managers. I had told him I would come back the next day to finalize this deal and he told me that was fine. When I went in to do so, I was talking to someone else who tried to charge me double than what I had negotiated originally. When I had told him the rate I had from the sales manager, he told me that the sales manager made a mistake and they could not offer me that price because it was a mistake. I also missed a day of work to go in and close this deal, but was told either I pay the higher rate, or not take it at all. Very unprofessional group of sales people!

The Car Buying nightmare came to life today when I...

The Car Buying nightmare came to life today when I visited DCH in Torrance. I called in to see if they still had a used 2009 Audi A5. Seth answered the phone and kept asking for my information before giving me the information I was asking for. He told me the vehicle was in stock and asked if today or tomorrow would work better for me. I explained to him that I did not have a vehicle and had to have someone drive 35 miles to get to his dealership from the San Fernando Valley and that is have to give him a call back. I arranged a friend driving here today, called Seth back and explained what I was looking for. He told me there was room to discount and to come make sure I liked the car.

I have been in Sales for over 4 years and would never be okay giving my customers the experience I had today.
I get there and the vehicle has noticeable cosmetic damage, so I figured that's why he said there was room to discount. He was very unenthusiastic and not once tried selling me the car or told me anything about it. I had questions that him nor his manager Jose could answer. When it was time to go inside he tried to run my credit without asking me and I told him I wanted numbers first based off good credit. I have a 730 credit score and 2,000 down, what I was asking for wasn't unreasonable on a used car. I've worked at dealerships and asked to see the invoice since they were claiming this is the best they could do on the car. Neither of them gave it to me and said that they were in the business of making money. The vending machine charged my card and didn't give me my merchandise an she said he had no control over it and would recommend putting cash next time. They didn't want to discount the vehicle 1$ and wasted my valuable time. Do not believe anything you hear over the phone, make sure you are educated on vehicle you are interested in as all questions go unanswered. I do not understand why you would deliberately tell someone from 35 miles away to come in for a "special price for the holidays" just to tell them you can't discount it and are in the business of making money not losing money. I do not recommend Seth or Jose and do not recommend this establishment. Delivering Customer Happiness (yeah right) TWO THUMBS DOWN.
