I've always had a good experience with Toyota, until I went to Dave Edward's. I have a small family business that uses a fleet of vehicles. Many are preowned Toyotas trucks. When my wife was wanting a new vehicle, we went to Dave Edward's and bought a preowned 4-Runner. They promise that all vehicles leave their lots in safe/working condition. 4 months later we take the 4-Runner to Toyota of Greenville for routine maintenance and they say that the shock absorbers are leaking, the break pads are at a 2 (we had been told that they were a 7 just 4 months previously), and the air bags were recalled before we bought the vehicle...... You mean to tell me that Dave Edwarda Toyota let my pregnant wife and two kids ride around in a vehicle that was unsafe. They either outright lied to me or they did a terrible job inspecting the vehicle before letting it leave their lot. Now they want me to pay $2700 to fix these items that should've been fixed before the vehicle was allowed to be driven. The service manager, Charlie, was very nonchalant about the whole ordeal with my wife. I guess they only want to take men seriously up there. So, if you are in the market for a preowned vehicle and care about the safety of your family, don't go to Dave Eswards Toyota.
My experience with Dave Edwards Toyota was a blessing. I've shopped for cars for a long time and I've never had an experience quite like I have at Dave Edwards Toyota. They were all so kind and polite. My salesman, Patrick was very knowledgeable about all of the cars on the lot and he was especially knowledgeable about the Toyota Camry I wanted to buy. I didn't even have to ask many questions at all because he was able to cover all of that when telling me about the car. I also have to brag a bit on the Manager. He demeanor was very calming and pleasant. They were great to work with and I recommend anyone who is interested in a Toyota to go by Dave Edwards Toyota and you'll have a great experience just as I did!
This is the perfect automobile store in South Carolina. They are so compassionate about their customers. My car had a recall on it. They came to my house picked up my car fix the problem and brought it back. They are top notch in my opinion.

I had an awesome experience at Dave Edwards Toyota in Spartanburg ! Ben Yoo went above and beyond to assist me and answer all my questions! Super nice guy and never pushy! Vince in the finance department was also fantastic. There is a bit of a wait time with servicing but this place makes waiting easier: everyone on staff was so personable and we were offered free refreshments from the canteen! Highly recommend!

Service is great, but I left my new car to have the oil changed, tires rotated, and a car wash. My windshield is all streaked up and the floor mat on the drivers side is still a mess. It looks like a 4 year old washed it. I would expect it to look like it was done by a professional and not a ride through car wash! If I wanted that look I would have taken it to a gas station car wash! Worst car wash ever! I guess once you purchase your vehicle and they clean it up for you to leave the lot in is all they care about. Sad thing is I have taking my car here for all services and I ask for them to wash it and clean it up today worst mistake I made was asking them to do that. Upset to say the least since I had an appointment at 8 this morning and car wasn t ready till a little after 1.
The most horrible experience I have ever had at a dealership! If I could rate 0 stars I would. I spoke with them for a week. I was told I needed to come in for a better deal. I expressed I was 90 miles away and did not want to waste my time and they assured me everything I was asking was possible. I asked if not, just let me know. They again assured me it was worth me coming in because the manager was going to work with me to get me the deal I needed! BULLCRAP! It was all a lie! I drove 3 hours, added 200 miles to my car, sat in traffic and then had to repeat everything from the last week! Then I was INSULTED with a 75% depreciation on a 1 year old car!!!! NO! NO! NO! Excuse you! The manager I spoke with was awful! Not friendly and didn't even try to work numbers.

I had a horrible experience here. At the end of August, I went in to change the oil and rotate the tires on my rav 4. While it was being serviced I began looking at the cars on display. A salesman began showing them to us and after a while wanted to know which car we were interested in. He kept insisting for details like how much we could put down now and then asked me to sign a paper. I read the paper and it was authorizing Toyota to debit my account $5,000 as down payment and to continue charging me a monthly fee! I kindly declined, got my car and left.
A few weeks later I noticed that my front tires were worn down to the nylon. They were unusable! Dave Edwards Toyota had not aligned my tires appropriately. I went back and asked them why this had happened since I had paid for an alignment. They were very rude and told me to forget the past and change my tires.
I said that I was not happy with the service they gave me to which they replied that they care less about what people think since they already have more business than they can handle.
That explained everything. I have now been using Toyota of Greer which treats me like a person and everyone acts professionally.
Yesterday I sent my niece up to the service department to see why her headlight wasnt working on her 4 runner and Kevin Hood took amazing care of he . He had her in and out in about 5 minutes. Good to know there are still places a young female can go in and not be taken advantage of. Great job Kevi . Thank you for taking care of her

Been using them for years. Figured the dealer associated with the car brand would be reliable. They did the work well, but extremely overpriced and constantly tried to up sell. Recently I had one of the worst examples of this and one which will have me going somewhere else. Had an engine replaced, got the car back but the ac didn't work anymore. I didn't really mind, as I figured replacing the engine is complicated. So I brought it back and explained the problem. They took it in. The next day they found the problem and it would be $2000 to fix. Even though the ac was working just fine before hand. They eventually reluctantly came around after getting the manager around. Won't be back

My experience with the service department has been excellent. I have been able to get the date and the time I wanted. All my waits have been very reasonable based on the type of maintenance being performed. Everyone has welcoming and professional. Anytime they found a problem I was immediately contacted in the waiting room. Sometimes I readily agreed to the additional part or service and sometimes I deferred the recommendation. Both of my actions were met with a smile and no pressure. The staff in the department has been super and most of all honest. I have also felt their prices have been equal to or better than other local service departments. Double thumbs up to Dave Edwards!!

Had a good experience finding a good used car. The car is in wonderful condition, and the drive train warranty is hard to beat. The sales rep searched for cars for us and found the perfect fit. All in all a wonderful experience.
Came back for a second car as my primary vehicle was having issues. Again the found me a great auto with low miles and a warranty. My only complaint (both time) is it takes too long to actually buy the car (paperwork etc.) The sales rep is good, fast and competent. The paperwork people need to step up their game.

Is there a zero star ??? Worst experience ever. This male dominant establishment treated me terribly. John Strong literally laughed in my face when all I tried to do was get them to fix there mistake. I have never been so disrespected as a woman in my entire life. You think women have come so far only to realize when you come here they haven t. First I was lied to said they could not fix my registration because I signed the paper and it was my finance companies fault and their rule so I call my finance company by myself and found out that was incorrect then they proceed to admit they were wrong and they would fix it in 60 days. I told them I needed it fixed that day for their mistake. They registered my vehicle, which my sister co-signed on in the wrong state and I am not even on the registration but I am on the loan. I m guessing because that was the easiest route. John Strong was super rude and mocked me because I kept asking them to do this that day he said he would not eat up the cost until 60 days from now, (because the cost was too high to fix the mistake immediately) it was just all in all a bad experience. He also lied to his manager and said he never admitted that they messed up. I asked that they pull their cameras and general manager said they have no sound, how convenient. Not to mention I have been up there 3 times since buying my certified preowned vehicle because the check engine light came on 7 days after I bought the vehicle. They said they fixed it before I even got home it came on again they finally fixed it the 2nd time. It has been nothing but trouble dealing with these people. I feel also like if I was a man I wouldn t have been mocked and laughed at or degraded as a woman. Take your business elsewhere, to a different Toyota establishment(possible Greenville SC or Gastonia NC , this one is not worth your time.
I had an appointment for 2:00 pm for an oil and filter change only. I arrived early and went ahead and checked in. I saw my vehicle being pulled into the bay after an hour and 45 minute wait. When my vehicle was ready I asked him if a 2+ hour wait when one had an appointment was normal. He said it was then began to review everything they had checked. I did not want all of the additional inspections that were needless and have possible COVID germs spread all over my car. This had been relayed to them earlier but was ignored. Also, without asking, they added a fuel injector cleaner when I had already done so which added an additional charge.
I asked what the brand name of the oil they had just put in my vehicle was and found it strange that no one seemed to know. The question was asked to the Customer Service representatives and they all gave a blank deer in the headlights stare except for one that piped up and said "Well, mam....it is Toyota oil!" I told him that as a Customer Service Representative I surely hoped he didn't talked to all of his female customers like they were frickin idiots because I asked the brand name.
Needless to say....I will not go back.

Salesman James and Roberto were really great and worked hard to get my business. The rest of the team tried several times to sneak extra money in on my purchase.
I had paid a $500 deposit, driven 2.5 hours, and had settled a deal at the end of the day, shook hands, and was ready to purchase after a fair compromise. The deal fell apart when I entered the finance room with the "paperwork guy" (Steven was maybe his name?) and was told my APR rate would be 5.99% unless I bought a warranty which would decrease that to 3.64% through Bank of America. Neither percentage was good but banks don't work like this.
I tried to refuse this extra coverage and wanted to finance with my own bank but the salesman said I had such a "smoking hot deal" that I could only finance it with Bank of America at their interest rate. This is absolutely false and I've never had a dealership tell me I couldn't finance my vehicle with my own bank.
I told him I didn't mean any disrespect but I felt like this was a scam to which he almost immediately ran across the hallway, grabbed the sales manager, and told me no deal.
I am not exaggerating when I say that I was invisible after this. I had to find the key for my trade and wait for them to put the tag back onto my vehicle.
Please watch out for deception like this at this dealership. I can only imagine how many first time buyers they have tricked this way just because they didn't know any better.

This is my second vehicle from Dave Edwards. My first experience was awesome and my Toyota Camry still runs perfect but decided to give to my daughter for her 18th birthday so decided to return here. I did a bunch of online research regarding used vehicles in my price range as I already had approval from my own bank and did not want to go over a certain monthly payment. This is a pretty friendly place. They do make you feel welcome. I will give them points for that. Friendly, clean facility and modern. BUT.. the car I chose was a used Chevy Equinox, not a Toyota.
When I asked questions about the car, the salesperson had no clue and pretty much gave me I don t know answers. Literally said I don t know but was still nice so my husband and I overlooked it. We left the dealership with a perfectly fine vehicle in great condition. It was owned by a smoker so I had to push for them to detail it to get the smell out. I also asked them if they changed cabin filters when it was inspected and was told of course. Two days later the car died and had to be jumped off and made a loud noise ever since. I called the dealership and was told that I would have to either wait 2 weeks before bringing it in so the warranty may cover or pay now to have it looked at?? I expressed my confusion on why I had to wait to bring my car in that I felt was going to break down on me and they said well not exactly but you would have to pay because the warranty won t be active yet???
I took it in to the service department and pushed the fact that I should not have to pay to have a car I just bought looked at for a malfunction light and noise. They were able to diagnose it without charging me and I was told it was camshaft position sensors and would have to pay to get replaced.
After much more research on my own I took it to a local auto shop and they were kind enough to tell me the truth that my car was almost out of oil and I almost blew my engine and I did not need the camshaft position sensors!! It was filled up with oil and has run fine ever since. I am beyond disappointed in the whole process as this was missed on more than one occasion by the dealership. I also decided to take out my cabin air filter myself today to see if it really was changed and it in fact was not. No wonder I couldn t get clean air no matter how much I scrubbed the interior. The filter was black and filled with actual dirt and leaves!!!! Unacceptable!!

I had an amazing experience taking my car to the Dave Edwards Collision Center in Spartanburg, SC. Brian and Amanda exhibited excellent customer service and truly helped me so much.
