I bought a brand new Danby Washer Dryer all in one October 25, 2020. The first time I tried it water leaked all over so I could not use it. When I finally got service to check it was found that the door was cracked so they had to order a new door which was done on December 13. They said should arrive in 3-4 weeks which was already too long since I have not been able to do laundry. I m still waiting for the part and the service rep can t get a hold of Danby to find out why it s taking so long.
This is unacceptable as this is a new machine and I have to go the the laundromat. Danby service is deplorable and if this is their way then I will never buy the Danby brand ever again.

Where to begin.... I ordered a Danby 10 cu upright freezer. I wanted a compact freezer and was willing to pay the extra price. When the freezer arrived, it looked as if it had been dropped or ran into by a forklift, yet the delivery people wanted to leave it. NO WAY. The second freezer delivered a week later had an incorrectly installed door and would not close correctly. A THIRD freezer is supposed to be delivered in another week. I'm now 3 weeks and multiple phone calls I to this.... there has been no mention of returning any of my cost. How about I send Danby an invoice for my time wasted in telephone calls and hours spent waiting for delivery?

Horrid product support

I was trying to find a faucet connector/adapter to hook up a countertop dishwasher that I'd acquired.

The online parts associate was, in my opinion, woefully incompetent, essentially telling me that my countertop dishwasher was obsolete and there were no parts available.

Meanwhile, I managed to find exactly what I needed at Home Hardware.

This was clearly a universal part, albeit one that was a bit difficult to find, but I managed to find it.

It is amazing how someone who is a supposed expert on parts can't figure out simple things for what should be a routine inquiry.

Danby is very good at having people respond to online comments like these or on retailer sites. If only they were as good with their follow-through on customer service. Apologizing and asking people to contact customer service to resolve their problems is useless if the customer cannot get through (no responses on the phone) or receives nothing more than automated responses to emails or to Danby's online contact form. I have been waiting for a response from an actual human for weeks about an existing case that I thought was essentially settled with the expectation that I would be receiving a replacement for my brand new, non-functioning freezer. The contact instructions provided on their customer service phone line are either misleading or entirely false. They will not respond within 20 minutes, 2-3 hours, 2-3 business days, or even 2-3 weeks. I am approaching the conclusion that I will have no choice but to purchase another freezer (obviously a different brand) and pursue other remedies for the money I wasted to purchase and dispose of the Danby freezer. I also expect to see the standard response to this comment.

I purchased a Danby freezer 6 weeks ago through a local ( London) distributer. Paid up front, including a delivery fee of $80. It arrived 3 days ago. Within the accompanying owner's manual under temperature control, it states that the NUMBERS on the temperature control knob on the back exterior wall of the unit indicate how to raise/lower the temperature of the unit. However, I had NO numbers on the control knob, just an incremental arrow. No baseline temperature. I contacted Danby and was asked to submit photos, which I did. Heard nothing back.
No response until 48 hours later. I was told to buy a fridge/freezer thermometer to detect the temperature. Really?
Accurate temperatures to ensure safe storage of food....... possibly important?
Unbelievable. The owner's manual is inaccurate, I have to "figure out" what temperature this unit is working at, and, in the midst of a pandemic, shop around for a freezer thermometer.
This is extremely disappointing. Very poor "service" and "support".

Not a great visit! We showed for our appointment time, we were greeted promptly. Good start! After being give some shady, half worded reason why we couldn t come through the front door, we headed to the side door as directed. This was a bit difficult for a family member of mine who has a cane and ad difficult time walking. Gravel driveway didn t make it easier! Once inside we were greeted by a Sales Rep wearing her mask incorrectly with her nose exposed! This Sales Rep seemed inconvenienced by our appointment! Our Sales Rep Repeatedly vanished, we decided it was time for us to vanish as well.

Danby - are you going to reply to the messages I've left via email and via 1 customer support person (Anna) that I was lucky enough to get through to on your customer service phone line? Is Felix who I was told is supposedly handling my case ever going to call me with a solution to your faulty stove that I've been stuck with since June 2020? What good is paying for extra warranty if you never communicate with customers? Do you check your Instagram? I've resorted to leaving messages there as no one ever responds through your website or your phone line. How is this customer service? You have my money and I have a faulty stove since June 2020. Will someone please read the emails to my case # 155181 and call me back.

One of the worst companies to work for. It has a toxic company culture.
Avoid it at all cost, especially the supply chain department.
Low motivation and low job satisfaction, inefficient workplace processes, and uncomfortable working conditions.
Sales is cut-throat, but it's a smooth-sailing if you're favored by supply chain senior managers.
I had my worst professional time there.

If your idea of a great consumer experience is buying a product that doesn t work out of the box, followed by months of trying to get a replacement involving repeated attempts to get responses from customer care, a multitude of apologies, thank you for your patience , have a great day s , and other meaningless time-wasters resulting in absolutely ZERO tangible results then this is the company for you. If not, I would stay away from their products. Sad to say because it would be nice to be able to support a local Canadian company. However, if I m going to be ripped off, I would prefer it to be by a foreign manufacturer.
