One of the most beautiful locations in the ADK. Very extensive menu and great staff. Would be 4 stars if the cook would make my burger rare, like our excellent waiter Jim, said they could. Oh well, it was still pretty good, and the view and service was topnotch.

Super long wait times to get a table. The food is mediocre and expensive. Drinks at the bar are decent, but be prepared to pay a premium for that bottle of light beer!

Nice that you can dock here and stop for a drink if you are on the boat. That's about all that is nice about this place. First and foremost, $30 bar tab required for credit cards. What is this 1998? Who doesn't accept credit cards? Bad business model. The bartender was annoyed she had to wait on us, and not very skilled (please learn how to pour a Guinness). Bar was sticky and gross, didn't bother to try the food here, decided it probably wasn't the best place to eat based on the lack of skill from the staff and the sanitary conditions.

Nice deck dining area. Go for the views, not the food. It's not bad, just doesn't match the ambience. Nothing special on the menu. For that matter, lots of better views in the ADKs if you bring your own picnic.

Poor service, only ok food. Ordered wings and potato skins. Wings were ok but potato skins came out 15 min later and were very bland even with extra salt &pepper

Daikers is a great place for food and drinks on the waterfront of 4th lake. I have many memories both in summer and winter from Daikers. Well worth the wait with great atmosphere and plenty of bar games.

Daiker's has been our family's "Go-To" favorite Adirondack restaurant for over 30 years. Casual, comfortable with friendly staff, great food and lots of choices on their menu. A family owned business that so well represents the good and caring people of the Adirondacks.

Poor service by most of staff...especially the waitress. Waited an hr to get in line...tables had food on it...had to ask to have cleaned..no menus were given to us...silverware was not set up...service slow and unfriendly...never asked how meal was or checked on us. After we left waitress chased us out and yelled at us for not giving a bigger tip. Unreal!!!

Loved it, quick service, great food and got to bring our dog Rock....the way ADK should be!!

Nice view from the porch, the rest - very bad. We sat waiting for service for quite a while, even though place wasn't even half full on a Saturday evening. Menu states "assorted herbal teas" -waiter said they only have regular tea, we ordered it because we were cold. When it arrived, cups were super small, and water was tepid. No sugar was brought to the table until we asked for it. Waiter did not offer or bring any water. We ordered pizza, fries and breadsticks with cheese sauce. Food took a while to arrive. Breadsticks came with marinara instead of cheese sauce. Pizza - the worst pizza I've ever had. Gas station pizza tastes gourmet compared to this one. We had to put salt and pepper on it just so we could eat one slice each. Very bland, with thick rubbery crust and tastless cheese. Fries were the only one more or less edible thing. Our waiter took long to come for the check after we finished, so we had to go look around for him. Then had to go to the register ourselves, because he again took a while to come back and run the card. We will never come back.

Recently the service has gotten bad.
We arrived for lunch this week and I was told there would be a twenty five minute wait. Like I said it is very popular.
As we waited I noted there were 6+ tables open but not cleaned. When we asked the hostess if we could be seated her response was I am only one person and I can't do it all. And we left.
Why were the tables not cleaned.. No clue
Why did the hostess not report it.. no clue.
Found a nice restaurant up the road right on the lake, good food, pleasant servers, and much cheaper.

Food is good. Atmosphere is great. People and wait staff are very friendly.

Sat around 6:30 with my girlfriend got our apps around 8 but with no silver ware, napkins or plates, then food came almost an hour later. Food was just as tasty as a fast food chain. Would never come back complete waste of almost 3 hours

Our family stopped here for dinner while camping in the area. The views and atmosphere were fantastic. The service was great, the food was very good. Everyone in our party found something they liked on the menu. We were impressed, and all agreed we would return. See pictures of appetizers and meals.

Horrible service .... Both bar and food. Paid for the view... First time, last time. Burger was ordered medium, and was at least well... Also missing mushrooms and onions it was supposed to come with!!

The food was amazing! We had to wait a bit for a table on the deck, but the view is worth the wait. The staff were friendly, and I'll say it again - the food was so incredible.

We went there for lunch Sunday and the service was incredibly slow. There were three hairs total (that we could find) in our food and the manager was conveniently not there and they refused to remove the food from our order because we ate it . Mind you we stopped eating after finding the hair and our waitress took our food that we didn t eat and then had the nerve to say that we ate the food so they weren t taking it off the bill. We waited 30
minutes to be seated and didn t receive refills or the ketchup we asked for when we got our food. So basically if you want to eat a huge hairball and pay for it, head down to Daikers

Good food. Eat outside if you can, the view of the lake is wonderful.

Decent food in our trip to lake placid. We tried the riggies which were a little bland...as in not as spicy as I expect riggies to be. We also tried the polish wings which were yummy.

The only issue we had was the pierogies were smothered in the hot sauce. All you could taste was hot. I recommend putting the sauce on the side. Other than that, great place with wonderful views.

My wife and I have been patronizing Daikers since 2010 when our good friends built a beautiful new home a short distance down the road. It is more of a bar than a restaurant, but our food has always been decent. The bar and waitstaff have always been nice to us, and even though we mostly visit in three month intervals, Crystal always recognizes us and remembers the beer I drink. We live 4.5 hours from Old Forge and the town is a great place to "get away from it all" ; however your visit would not be complete without a visit to Daikers regardless of the season - from the beautiful patio views overlooking 4th Lake boaters on a hot summer day to a snowy Saturday afternoon by the sweet smelling fire pit, Daikers is the place to be with your friends! Another thing that I thought was very "classy" of the Daikers crew was their pouring me free sodas all New Years Eve when they learned I was the safe ride for our group. Keep up the good work guys! Well the hostess was not a very friendly girl at all.I told her it's ok to smile and was given a dirty look. Really smiles are free. Always be humble and kind. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was very good. My husband had the Chicken parm crunch wrap, it was very good. A must have.
I had the Polish wings They were very different. Also 5 chicken wings. Very good.They were very different. Of course a fabulous view.

Was in town over the last weekend. We Love going to Daikers!

Our server Jay was great, very friendly and amazing personality. Gave us tips to where to go for breakfast etc.

It s a Resort town.. so of course the prices are a bit high, it s expected, and we honestly didn t care.

Only complaint was my fiance ordered The buffalo Alfredo without bleu cheese, and they put it on, and then tried to take it off instead of re making it before it was served. When someone is allergic to something you can t do that, it could
Potentially get someone really sick.

The atmosphere is fun, we will visit again as we always do when visiting the Old Forge area.

Very nice view of the lake. Tables are not crowded together. We stopped in for dessert and the lava cake did not disappoint.

Great little place nestled between Old Forge and Eagle Bay overlooking Fourth Lake. Atmosphere was great and food was reasonable price. You can either access the place either by vehicle off RT 28 or by boat by docking. Dogs are welcomed outside the establishment but not inside. Scenery on the deck is gorgeous.

A wonderful experience. With an amazing view. The staff went above and beyond all expectations. The food was delicious. We just loved it here!

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Lake Placid, it has an amazing view and delicious food and drinks! I d definitely recommend the fisherman s basket and the southwest chicken wrap!

Best part of this place was the view of Fourth Lake. The food was okay, but the service was lousy at best. They also charge a fee for using a credit/debit card. The view and beautiful deck were very nice though!!

Terrible service and even worse food. The night started off by us watching your staff be extremely rude to the people in front of us, so much that they said they would take their money elsewhere and left. Never got refills on our drinks. Never even asked. We asked the waitress if she would light our candle at least a half dozen times. Not sure why but she thought it was a joke and laughed at us. I had the seafood basket and every bit of it was over fried. One of our party had the carrot cake which looked like a little Debbie's snack cake and tasted horrible. The atmosphere was excellent. Too bad the rest of your restaurant sucks. We went because of the entertainment that night but didn't stay. Wont be back.

It's always a good time I'm there in the winter can just imagine what summer is like

The hostess and wait staff are inadequate, we waited over an hour to sit down and we were originally asked to wait in a closed section inside only to be told that we needed to sit there if we wanted to order by the time orders closed. The wait staff was overheard multiple times skipping us and so we mentioned to them that we've been waiting quite awhile to only be told that they couldn't combine the many tables they turned over due to management which is not the way to run a restaurant and therefore explains the other similar negative reviews. Even after sitting down, service was very slow and inattentive. We'll see if this place gets our business again... P. S. - took over two hours to sit down and get our food. Completely unacceptable!

Good food , Great atmosphere...worth a trip just to see the place...

Used to love this place.. atmosphere can't be beat. However, the woman behind the bar was very rude the last time we came. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Iconic, party your boat at the dock, or drive by car. Eat inside, outside. It is traditional pub style food but always good. Just a cool place to hang out.

The food at Daiker's was great after I waited over an hour and a half for a simple club sandwich. Our server was not polite and acted as if she didnt know what was going on. I would have rated Daiker's with 4 stars if it werent for the terrible service.

What a great place , love the view, good service, fair prices, if I visit Old Forge I will be back

Didn't eat here, was picking someone up. They had a long wait time, friend's said food was good and nice view

The service is painfully slow. I have been here on multiple occasions and the food is consistently lackluster. Skip this place.

Good food. Love the Pretzels and queso. The service is what lowers it to 3 stars. Only one check per table, so don't go out with others. We watched people sit at the bar and order, then changed there mind and sat at a table only to be told if they ordered at the bar the must return to the bar and eat it there.

Awesome waiter and delicious food! Not to mention the great view.

This is the Soup Nazi of restaurants in Old Forge. No substitutions what so ever, credit card purchases get charged a higher fee, no eating inside unless it rains or they tell you it's granted, and their philosophy is, "you cater to them, they do not cater to you". Absolute garbage! There are so many other places to eat that are so much more welcoming, with great food!

Great spot to hang out, but there food is mediocre and thts due to there poor ingredients. I prefer the lean to down the lake for food and daikers to hang out and get a beer. Could be 4/5 stars if they put a little more quality in there ingredients.
