Extrem poor customer service.

Extrem poor customer service.

I lost my season pass card and went up for the first ride of the season just to learn that the replacement fee for a new card will be $60(!!!). I was honestly shocked that replacing a small plastic card justifies such a fee. The shift manager told me the reason for the fee is that people pretend to loose their passes to get a free pass for their buddys. He admitted that the crew which checks the passes at the gates basically don't do their job and therefore honest customers have to pay the price for Cypress Mountain not be able to properly train their crew. It was genuinely offered to me that I could purchase the evening ticket so I don't have to pay for the replacement if I don't want to. What a joke to offer somebody to pay for something what he has already paid. I called customer service a day later which wasn't much of a use. Just basically told me the same that gate crews don't check properly and people sneak in with other people passes. He suggested to write a mail because he had no powers to refund me. Waiting now for nearly a week for a reply. Being treated as a potential cheater and no commitment to deal with customer issues. Guess that's the famous Cypress Mountain Customer Service

It was beautiful and way not touristy, there really was not a lot of people there. The hikes are not for the faint of heart, besides the Yew Lake Hike they will kick your butt. The view from the top is pretty but not worth it if you are not in shape or prepared.

Night snowboarding is an epic experience and we loved going! It's almost worth getting a night seadon pass for as it's so cheap in comparison to Whistler!
The snow quality isn't the best but a great time nonetheless

Nice hill with varying snow conditons but don't rent the performance equipment here. They do not release the deposit on your credit card for up to 2 weeks and give very little information up front about the rentals.

Cypress is an amazing local mountain. The activities are limitless: downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking.

Lots of well-lit night skiing terrain and a few different terrain parks for trying features of different sizes.

Free snowshoeing and cross-country is permitted on the provincial park trails.

Great urban mountain, but loses to Seymour on free buses from the bottom to avoid the mess of theses early days. Although I prefer Nordic and Cypress I'll go to Seymour to avoid more than 30 minutes wait.

When listing places to go in NYC, you can't get more NYC than taking a trip to visit Chinatown (and the shrinking Little Italy next to it). Each street seemingly merging into the next, with no sense of rhyme or reason, souvenir shops tucked in between Cantonese restaurants; dim sum parlors fighting for space next to medicinal shops. Eating in the neighborhood is a must, the only problem is figuring out where to eat! Some of my favorites are Wo Hop (downstairs, not the ground level one!), Joe's Shanghai (for steamed soup dumplings) and Rice and Gold (for a new age spin on the genre). Coming down here to celebrate the Chinese New Year is something every New Yorker should do at least one time in their life, Chinese or not!

Great resort and despite the weather this week (wet) the runs were in good condition. Great eating facilities but they should make an effort to turn over the tables in the chalet more frequently. It seems that many families come in for the day and camp out at tables making it challenging to find a place to sit and eat during breaks. There should be a limit to the amount of time and the saving of seats. Otherwise, great mountain and excellent ski program (Raven Riders).

It's no wonder that Canadians outlive their southern continent counterparts. The amount of winter activities you can do here just 30 - 40 minutes drive from the downtown area is amazing!

The trails are free for snowshoeing/sledding which is what I came up for. If you want to do cross country, I believe it is about $15 or so for the trails. I didn't see how much the ski rentals are.

Restrooms are small, but plentiful. And flushing!

The hot chocolate here isn't bad, at least it doesn't taste like a chalky made-from-powder type of beverage. One tip: if the cafe area is crowded, check out the trailer connected to the outdoor tent set up. It isn't marked and it is usually for folks waiting to go for lessons. However it is much less crowded and you still have a small view of the slopes.

Challenging in the first 1km as its pretty steep. Afterward the climb was very moderate and the numerous little lakes were beautiful. The loop from Black Mountain back to the parking lot was well maintained. Too bad it was a foggy day and couldn't see the Lions and the water from Eagle Bluffs.

Washroom was very dirty . I had to change my 4 months diaper and the changing area was in the washroom where the toilet seat was with that table and it was not even flushed so chances of bacteria in that area was at high and water was there on the entire floor so had to walk so slowly.

Cypress is a great local Vancouver mountain. Only 25-30 minutes off the freeway, it is a convenient ski destination. We skiied during a rain storm but still enjoyed our 6 runs. We used rentals for my son and got my bindings adjusted at the skishop. All very quickly done. We had a blast. After 2 runs my son was very comfortable on his skis and was navigating the runs easily. Can't wait to go skiing with my son again!

Beautiful place in winter and summer. For those who do not like skiing, the winter visit is not as attractive and should be short as there are not a lot of places to walk. For those who ski, it is the best ski resort in Vancouver.

This is a review of the guest relations office. I contacted Cypress on October 2nd, 2017 about the small size seasonal locker. I got a response on November 6th, 2017 informing me the confirmation deadline is two days later and if I wanted the locker, I should respond with my personal and credit card information. I responded the same day. I then get an email on November 8th, 2017 informing me that they only have large lockers remaining and that I should pay extra if I wanted them.

Either the wait-list filled up before October 2nd, 2017 and guest relations asked for my personal/financial info knowing this or someone messed up and gave away lockers out of order.

I have asked guest relations to respond. I will update if/when this matter is closed.

How can I give a mountain anything less than 5 stars? My favorite mountain when I visit Vancouver (usually in the summer). I take the easy Yew Lake trail and walk through the forest until (spoiler alert) the lake suddenly opens up in front of you. Love this place

Just a few miles out of Vancouver city lies the Mount cypress , a beautiful place to visit and spend some time. It is a ski resort and is easy to reach from Vancouver city by road. It has a number of ski runs and 19 kms of cross country trails. The time of operations starts at 9.00 am every day upto April end from December. There are facilities for skiing lessons in the Mount Cypress.

Standard location for snowboarding. Fairly pricey. Hard to find parking and long lines at times. Like most mountains it gets less busy in the evening. Two main chair lifts one being mainly for beginners, the second with black diamonds and fun blue runs. Some jumps on the sides of runs and a couple terrain parks.

Hill reasonable, gear staff good. Great time new years. Nice fireworks display! Thank you :) The restaurant and bar has the worst service I've experienced in recent memory. The menu says to be patient as staff are and training... fair enough, that seems like a management issue.

Love Cypress mountain I'm a new driver without any experience in driving in a heavy snow and the truck there made a really good job in maintaining the road clean from snow. Staff are friendly, NO SMOKiNG,a lot of parking space. Bring shovel for your car's windshield because when u get back from snowboarding car will have a lot of snow. food are expensive but that's expected.

As a avid but beginner snowboarder, this just became my new favorite mountain. Lots of great options and perfect areas to hone my basic skills. Seems to be lots of options for more advanced riders as well, so this would be a good place to bring groups with a range of skills levels. Reasonably priced for this expensive sport! A much more affordable option than nearby Whistler. GORGEOUS! I only wish it had been more clear out during my visit. You can see all the way to downtown Vancouver and the ocean on some sides, as well as amazing views of the mountain range. Truly an amazing experience. 12/10 will be back again!
